Within this episode we continue our discussion on lesson number nine, your salary is determined by the value you have within the market. If you are the best in your industry then you can use things such as other job offers to promote your status. But we would suggest that if you do not have a real job offers coming from other companies not to use this tactic. Learned from real experiences of Sean Kouplen he has seen employees that tried blessing their way with fake job offers into better promotions and more money, only to have their fake resignation accepted. And in turn these employees were left jobless. Don’t be that person, work hard and learn from those around you. Learn what it takes to stand out in your career so you gained the reputation of a hard-working individual that you will need to climb up the business ladder. We also begin to discuss lesson number 10, the patient. Life is a marathon, not a sprint. It is important that you learn to pace yourself. Patience is important because it can bring balance to your life. You don’t want to wake up one day and noticed you pushed away all your family and friends in order to reach your financial goals quickly. Patience is also important because it gives you the ability to learn important skills you need to know so you do not find yourself up at the top to quickly frantically trying to learn the skills you need to maintain that top position. You don’t want to find yourself having to rely on everyone around you to fill in the gaps and skills that you like. Opportunities will come, so be patient and become the best.
