Most people believe that you can get promoted and then start a series of habits. This is not how it works at all. You must develop an attitude that makes you somebody that everybody wants to be around, and develop your skills in order to get you to where you want to go. When you are creating more value then you are being paid for, and You were consistently exceeding expectations, that is when a reputation of excellence will develop. You must master your current responsibilities, and then you get promoted to where you are going. Not the other way around.
