Often times, at chamber events and local networking meetings, Business owners are typically very very candid with each other and of not very much substance. If you’re not being candid and direct with people, they will see through you and stereotype you as being fake. One of the easiest ways to quickly developed a reputation of excellence within a specific networking group of people is to create more value then what you were being paid for. Or further, consistently exceed everybody’s expectations. This is not a one time event, you must consistently deliver more value than what people will come to expect from you in order to wow them. Anybody can show up early. Anybody can finish a project ahead of time. When you were the person that consistently delivers ahead of time and shows up early every single day, then you will be known as somebody of high values and standards. As an employee this can be incredibly valuable when you’re trying to earn a promotion or move into a new job. Determine what the most valuable thing for your manager is and provide that value or service. You will find that the culture within eight business is hugely important, and the current employees Will work to protect it. Certain employees might not appreciate that you’re looking to go above and beyond, but you must not lose focus on what your goal is. You must work as diligently and as hard as you need doing order to get to your goals. Do not let anybody distract you away from what you were trying to do.
