Are you systematically creating a way to create relationships with people that you want to be a part of your networking group? Do you have a system for adding people into your circle? In this particular episode, Caleb Taylor sits down with Business coach Clay Clark (former US Small Business Administration Entrepreneur of the Year) to talk about how to create a Dream 100 board. This particular principle comes from a book called The Ultimate Sales Machine by Chet Holmes. Of the impact that it can have for their businesses. When you are looking to add people to your networking list, you must identify whether or not they can’t create value for you and your business. If they cannot create value for your business, or they cannot refer you more business, or they are not somebody that you Can learn anything from, do not spend any time with them. However, if there is something that you can do to create value for them, and they have the ability to assist you in one of the areas of your life, you must systematically develop a deep relationship with them. By default we will drift. You must add them to a Dream 100 board which is what Clay discusses and shows an in this episode. You must be consistent with your list. The success of your relationship building technique will depend on your ability to reach out to these people that you want to network with on a weekly basis. If you cannot consistently reach out to them, they will see you as a flake and not have confidence in your ability to deliver. Make sure that you are reaching out to them weekly.
