Don’t Get Stuck: How To Avoid Being Forgotten – Episode 2 – 3 Principles to Stand out & Get Promoted – Part 1
Do you want to move up in your company? Do you have aspirations for promotion? If so, then this training is for you. In this episode, business coach Clay Clark and Caleb Taylor dive into the specific action steps that an employee must take in order to get promoted within a company. The first thing that and employee must master is to seek constructive criticism within an organization. Making sure to see criticism can’t provide you insight into how you can perform your job better and more consistently. First, ask where you need to make improvements. Second write down your goals and specific action items that management and your leadership want you to take. Showing a detailed focus on improvement will showcase your talents for advancing within the company. When you are diligent about this steady application of growth, you can advance towards the position that you’re seeking. You must have previously identified where deposition is for you. Without a clear direction for where you were advancing within the company, you will not end up anywhere other than where you currently are. Set a goal for yourself, and worked relentlessly towards it. When you want to win, everything else will fall into place. You must be motivated by a greater cost than the regular routine of the position in which you’re working. Find out what motivates you the most, and work ask though others are working endlessly against you. You must face reality as it is, not as you wish it to be, which means that you cannot lie to yourself about your strengths and weaknesses. You must capitalize on your strength within an organization and showcase them to your manager. If you possess weaknesses, make sure that you address them, and are aware of them. Awareness is the most important key to this. As you continue to grow, you can further improve your weaknesses so that they are not a liability.
