The Advantage Of Disadvantage – Episode 2 – Part 2

In this episode, America’s number one business coach Clay Clark teams back up with public relations and branding guru, and author of Guerrilla PR, Michael Levine, join together again to conclude the series on the advantage of disadvantage. A problem that Michael Levine highlights in this episode specifically is how doing anything great requires a tremendous amount of work and dedication. There is nothing wrong with only work forty hours in a week, and it does not mean that you are any less valuable. However, one cannot expect to achieve great things unless they are willing to put the work in to get there. A notable quotable that Michael Levine gives is that, “You can’t be born on third base and think you hit a triple.” What does this mean? It means that one should not feel entitled or privileged, just because they were born into a life of privilege. You must put in the work to achieve anything great, and after you show diligence and dedication, you will eventually reach a destination. You can start on the path to achievement by asking yourself, “What do I most want in life and what am I willing to give up in order to achieve it?” By asking this, you will soon discover what your real goals are and what the price to pay is in order to get there. If you are going to be a person of great achievement, there are certain things that you must sacrifice in order to get it. In order to achieve your goals or dreams, you must focus on those things that will help you achieve those goals more than anything. It’s time that you sat down and clearly defined those things that matter most to you in life, and then commit to pursue those things, and only those things, to the best of your ability.
