Clay, you’re an entrepreneur, I’m an entrepreneur, and as they say in Stoic, the obstacle is the way. And so if you let these pinheads get in your way, you’re in trouble. Octononverba is the motto of the U . S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kingspoint, New York. I had appointments with Naval Academy and Kingspoint Merchant Marine Academy.

And Merchant Marine Academy’s motto was octononverba. In other words, don’t listen to what a person says. Watch what they do. Clay, my honor, my honor to be on your show and thank you for all you do. I hear the ripple effects from you are good ripple effects. You know what I mean?

People rave about what they learn from you.

So congratulations. My name is Kevin Thomas and the name of our company is MultiClean. We are a commercial janitorial service and we serve the entire state of Oklahoma and Kansas and soon to be Arkansas. We have probably grown probably five times. I think when we first started with you, we had 60 to 65 employees, and now we have a little over 300 employees. Before we got involved with Thrive Time, we didn’t really have any systems or processes in place.

In six, seven years, I’ve probably been to 12 to 13 business conferences and Amazingly, each time I go, I learn something new and I’m so excited to bring it back and show the team about marketing and how to help you guys implement the SEO. The coaching is just great because there’s accountability. It’s just a fantastic way to grow your company. Having a relationship with Thrivetimes, it’s just been amazing for multiclaim. Oh my goodness, it frees me up because then I don’t have to take a class on search engine optimization or learn marketing or shoot video. That’s not what we do.

What we do is commercial janitorial service. And you guys were the experts on marketing. And you teach me and hold my hand and show me how to do it right.

And therefore, now my company is much, much larger. Folks, on today’s show, we’re joined by a real client. He may look like a male model. He may look like a hologram. But he’s a real person. He’s a longtime client.

He’s a man that we consider to be a friend of The Thrive Time Show and a friend of mine. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the show, Kevin. Welcome on to The Thrive Time Show.

How are you, sir? Clay, I’m doing great. I had a great Christmas holiday.

And I’m glad to be here. OK, so first question, can you tell us, what is your name, first and last name?

And what’s the name of your company, sir? My name is Kevin Thomas and the name of our company is MultiClean.

We are a commercial janitorial service and we serve the entire state of Oklahoma and Kansas and soon to be Arkansas.

And how long have we worked with you approximately at this point, sir?

It’s been about six, seven years. Well, we’ve talked a lot in the show about, you know, riots and things going on planned, you know, Walmart advertising for riots, all this kind of crazy stuff, Israel being bombed, all these kind of things. It’s easy to take your focus on all the stuff going on in the world that you don’t like and that you can’t control. And sometimes that’s kind of a comforting blanket. Hey, I’m going to spend an hour focusing on all the stuff I can’t control because, you know, hey, what else am I going to do? But on this show, we like to focus on solutions as well.

Hey, what can we do? Draw it in close. What’s something that you can actually do? Actionable items. And we’re very, very entrepreneurially minded. We think that’s the backbone of what makes America great.

If America’s going to be great again, we’ve got to have more people not just owning businesses, but owning their day, owning their flow, owning the processes. We’ve got a guy here who wrote a book called How to Build a Successful Business.

He’s written more books than most people have read and has become a great friend and a mentor of ours, the one and only Mr. Clay Clark. And real quick, I want to say this, Dave. What’s interesting about the whole Reawaken tour thing is anybody who knew me, I met you guys at the first Reawaken tour in Tulsa. It was called the Reopen America Health and Freedom event. I thought we would do one event, but up until that point, anybody who knew me up until the day that I was on that stage essentially, they all knew that I would never talk about religion or politics ever. because it was always something that I couldn’t control.

So Aaron Antis has been a client, 60 % of his client coaching experience was pre -COVID and then 40 % post -COVID. And in those first 60%, anytime he would say, what do you think about, let’s say tariffs or anything geopolitical, I’d go, I don’t know, but I do know that you need to do the group interview. Or he would say, what are your thoughts about Israel? I don’t know. No, but I do know you’re on page four of Google, and we’ve got to fix that if you want your phone back. And I’ve always done that in my personal life and my business life.

So I’m really personally, I know this is probably selfish, but I’m really excited to be focused on how to grow a successful company today, because I think these are things we can teach today that everyone can apply. And that’s kind of more of my comfort zone.

So I’m super excited to be wakeboarding behind the incredible waves created by Super Dave Whitehead here.

That’s awesome. I love it. I just want to also talk about, because last Friday we were at your business conference, which was outstanding. Amazing. Every time we ever attend your conference, we always come home with things that we are applying. In fact, we were talking about this morning, we’re going to apply this right now in our business.

But the event was unbelievable. And you have another one coming up with Eric Trump, Alina Haba, Mel K, Julie Green, Dr. Stella. Talk about that, because those events can be life -changing for people.

people and they have been life changing.

There’s us with Tim Tebow, which was a blast. Which was a highlight for you. He waited in line for several hours. Oh yeah. There’s five things our conferences do that I hope everybody enjoys these. One is we’re going to teach you how to grow a company.

And I get excited about that because I know what it’s like to have no money at all. I also remember what it was like to be 16 years old and to be doing entertainment. I started my first DJ company out of my parents’ basement. And I remember thinking, I could go to the Mall of America in my 1989 Ford Escort with my car. And I’m going to go there because I could never do this in the past. I’m going to buy all the school clothes that I want.

I’m going to buy all the things I want. I’m going to go into Sheels because I pretty much only wore oversized jerseys. I’m going to go buy myself a Pittsburgh. I got myself a Penguins jersey. I got myself a jersey for the Minnesota Vikings. I had a jersey for the Timberwolves because I only wore jerseys.

People in high school knew this. I only wore jerseys. And so I’m like a Boston Bruins jersey. I bought all the jerseys. I went there and bought 80 bucks a piece. But back in the day, this was the actual game jersey.

I could buy the jeans I wanted to buy.

could buy the shoes I wanted to buy. And I remember going, I make more money than all my teachers. Wow. And I remember going, yes, you know, I love I remember the year before going, I don’t make any money and no one I know knows how either. So I know what it’s like to be able to build a successful company.

That’s one is I want to teach you how to grow a successful company. Marketing, branding, sales systems. The second thing is when you are in a room, you do become the average of the five people you spend the most time with.

It is at the conference that you guys attended.

We had a guy who really screwed me on a business deal that was in the audience.

And a longtime friend of mine was going, I wonder if Clay’s going to call him out. I can see the tension.

I’m wondering.

And at the end of it, he goes, dude, I thought that was pretty good. You kind of wove him in, but you didn’t mention it was funny. It was great. But I mean, because this is a mentor in my life. And he was watching. And he’s going, hey, don’t mention it.

Don’t make it weird. But it’s always weird if you have an ex -girlfriend or an ex -employee that shows up. You know, the whole idea. One, you learn practical business skills. The second is you become the average of the five people you spend the most time with. We had an owner of a professional sports team at the event.

We had a billionaire business owner in the room. We had several multimillion dollar business owners. And that really helps you. And even me as a presenter, having a longtime mentor of mine in the audience going, hey, buddy. In between the breaks, he’s like, isn’t that crazy? Isn’t that crazy?

That’s crazy, man. How did he buy a ticket from you? Anyways, that’s fun. The third thing is you get to ask questions. You get to ask questions. You get the answers.

I think that’s a powerful thing, Q &A. Fourth is you get to learn how a workflow is built. And a workflow is a linear, step -by -step process to grow a company. And then the fifth is you meet great people. You meet great people. And so if you go to thrivetimeshow .

com, September 25 and 26, true story, I just talked to Eric Trump yesterday. He confirmed he is coming to the VIP dinner, which is a unique event. Don jr. Has come to the VIP dinners, but we’ve never had Eric come to a VIP dinner So this is Eric Trump at the VIP dinner.

What could happen?

I don’t know So if you go to thrive timeshow .

com September 25 26, I spoke to Amanda Grace yesterday She’s gonna be hosting a church service on Friday night for anybody who wants to attend a church service there So we’ve got a church service after the conference if you want to participate in that but from 7 a . m. To 5 p . .m both m both days, back -to -back speakers. We teach branding, marketing, personal finance, workflow development, hiring, managing people.

Managing people turns out is a difficult task. Hiring people, online ads, online conversions, everything you want to know. And then, Colton, you’ve seen these enough.

I have no idea what kind of questions people are going to ask. And there’s times at the conference it gets so funny, I can’t stop laughing. And it’s based upon questions that real people put on the board. So it’s always different. I do want to address that, sorry Colton, but I do want to address that question thing because people might, you said you will answer questions.

You don’t understand, every question that a person would have is put on a board and Clay goes through every one of those and hits every question.

They erase it and then you have a chance to come back up and put more questions on the board.

This happens the whole conference. So if you leave there and you don’t get your question answered, it’s your fault, not Clay’s, because he gives you the opportunity and he goes through and answers every one of the questions. Which makes each conference unique. It is. And you do a great job of pulling stuff. Like this last conference, there was, I think, two different questions about inventing something.

Like this person had an idea of an invention. And how do I even take this to market and get patents and legal? And what about this? And somebody else had a question about setting up their own nonprofit and how to make it profitable within the nonprofit. There’s all these random questions. And you take it and you answer it completely to the satisfaction of the person while still making it applicable to everyone in the room.

And your ability to pull all that together is really unique and powerful. Every conference I walk away with at least three things that I can apply to our business right away. And I think every conference then we’ve been able to increase not only our income, but our impact on what we’re doing here at Flyover and with other things. And I think if everyone attends it, because you have these regularly coming up, it’s not like, oh, I attended one of those back in the day, I’m good, I already, I got the hit.

It’s like you keep coming because every time you take a couple things away, you hear something new, you hear a new thing.

Like I took something away from Flyover, guy, and I’m like, oh, that’s a real, we should totally apply that over here in a different way, which is super powerful. The jump to conclusion, Matt. The jump to conclusion, Matt. You know, I, this is interesting, and this is a backhanded compliment about myself, so here we go. When I was in high school, I was not a good football player.

I was on the team, you know, for a year, but I wasn’t good. One of our players, I won’t mention his name, but he was so talented. And he had this move, this ability, Sanders Jr. and he would get the ball and he would always avoid tackles and you’re like, how did he do that? Because the people are running at him and he would just move, move, pump it. And he was like, how did that not happen? How did he not get tackled?

And you’re going, wow, this guy’s incredible. Now, you took that guy to math class. I don’t know, he mentally went to math class. You took that guy to speech? I was in classes with this guy. And you were going, how is a guy so quick, so active as an athlete, so mentally dormant in school?

And God’s given us all different giftings. And for whatever reason, since the age of 15, so for 30 years, All I’ve really thought about is how to grow successful companies. A person asked, how do I patent my invention and how do I sell it? I’m going, well, the book you need to read is The Inventor’s Guidebook by Maurice Kanbar. The Inventor’s Guidebook by Maurice Kanbar. And they’re going, huh?

Because I know that quick recall because I work with inventors. Or when someone says, how do I grow a medical business? Dave, I know that quick recall because I talk about it all the time. Or someone says, how do I deal with a nefarious employee?

I deal with that quick recall because I’ve dealt with it.

So just like my buddy who’s good at football, he could avoid all these tackles. For business, I just know how to do that.

But if you were to take me skiing, I have this personal trainer guy I’m working with in the morning, and he’s like, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a less flexible person than you.

And I’m going, this is true.

Because I’m not.

And if you take me skiing, and my kids are like, Dad, this is really a sad thing we’re watching here. Are you OK? And I’m like, you’ve got to get me on the slopes.

I don’t do it.

If you take me to a movie, I’m the guy at the end. who’s like taking notes and be like, what are you doing? I’m like trying to stay mentally engaged as we suffer. You bring your clipboard to the, to the movies. That is true. I mean, it’s a really, I’m known as getting up during movies and not coming back.

So I’m just saying, I’m not good at a lot of areas of life, but in this one area, I’m good at helping you. So if you’re watching today’s show and you know how to start and grow a successful company, I know how to do it. I can teach you how to do it. And we’re going to have a lot of fun. I mean, Dave, I laugh so much. There was one, there was like five or six times at the last conference where I was in pain laughing because the question was so true and we bring up clients.

We had 17 clients in the room who’ve gone from a startup to a multi -million dollar business. The one guy in the room who’s one of the most successful has 350 employees. And nobody would know that. And he did not want to come up.

And I was, I brought him up.

He did not want to come up on the mic.

It wasn’t what he wanted to do.

And I kept him up there all day.

And he’s, he’s Jim Brewer compared to his wife.

Yeah. Yeah. When you called her up there, I thought she was going to faint. I thought she was going to pass out. I said, Hey buddy, you have 350 employees and most people here have no idea how successful you are.

Could you please Come on the mic. He says, I don’t want, I don’t really want to do that, but I go, please. And it was so good because it came up and so many people would come up to me in between the breaks and they’re like, you’ve coached that guy. wow that guy because people think to be successful you have to be gregarious and funny and yeah but everybody out there you can do it and so on today’s show if I could because I know we’ve got limited time today I had five principles I wanted to teach if I can everybody watching today’s show and the big topic is is branding and workflow and if we can I sent your video you’re a producer a video and this is a case study of a longtime client who’s greatly grown his organization and I think if we watch that that might set the tone for the conversation so it’s it’s a video clip and perhaps you can pull it up there what I’ve seen from clay in his group at thrive is they’ll give you a simple system And it’s the simple systems are the ones that people can wrap their brain around. They’re the ones that people can work with on a day -to -day basis.

And that simplicity brings power with it. So it shocked me how simple some of the stuff is. And at times I’m like, why didn’t I think about that? Workflow creation, systematic marketing and coaching has helped our church so much. You know, the workflow creation is what it really is, is they’re going to look and see every moving part of your church, of your ministry, what needs to be done, and it’s going to go up on a massive board. And so now what it does is it takes what you know needs to be done out of your heart and out of your head, really takes the pressure, the stress off your shoulders, and it puts it on the board where your entire team, your ministry can see exactly what you want them to do every day.

And so they know this is the playbook. This is what we’re doing. And then there’s a laser sharp accountability with a meeting afterwards.

Did it get done or not? So it’s, it’s changed the way we execute as a church so fast and it’s produced really an excitement because people, people, they want to get done. If they know what they’re supposed to do, a good person wants to get it done. It’s been massive for our team. And so in his church, it’s called his church actually, called his church is in Amarillo, Texas. They have another location in Kentucky.

And so I want to walk you through five moves that you can do today to help you grow your organization that worked for his church. It’s called his church. That’s the name of the church is his church.

The actual website I’ll pull up to my right here.

I’m not playing solitaire. It’s a hischurch . cc, kind of a unique domain, but hischurch . cc. So step number one, everybody out there watching this, show, people are going to judge you based upon your branding. People

People look at me and they go, is that Chevy Chase in the background on that protein? I thought Clay Clark owned a hair business. Why is his hair always weird? Why does he ever do it the same? Did he even do it? Was he wearing a hat?

Is his head reshapen? Is Jesus in the background? Why are there so many microphones? I get people ask all the time, why are all those microphones hanging up from the ceiling? Those are all backup mics. And so branding is what people think about.

when they think about you. What do they think about? They think about your business. So if you own a doctor, a practice, an automotive repair shop, a car wash, a dentistry, a podcast, whatever it is, it’s what people think about. So what we want to do is we want to think about that, this idea of branding, through the following, let’s say, lens, V -I -S -M -D. So V, you want to get video reviews.

And video reviews, those are fun.

Dave, I know people that have told me great things about you offline that’s kind of fun. I’m going to pick on one person. Amanda Grace has called me unsolicited, and she goes, I love the Flyovers. They are. Love those guys. Man, I tell you what, those guys are high integrity.

I really love those guys. Another example, Eric Trump. He came to the Michigan Reawakened Tour. He pulls me aside. Is Dave here? I’m going, hey, hey, say hi to me first.

But anyway, so there was, I mean, but it was like he said that positive thing about you. Another example of Julie Green. She’s always saying wonderful things about you guys when you’re not around. Mel K has told me multiple times, wow, they are great. Dr. Stella has specifically said, I love the white and Stacey is such a great mom. And I hear those things, but I don’t have video evidence of it.

But I don’t have it. I don’t have video evidence of it. And so it’s really nice. It’s really important. It’s really actually essential in this world, this kind of world of technology and Google. everybody gathers objective video reviews.

And so we think about Thomas’s business there, Bespoke Refinement. This would be your son -in -law, Dave. He does a great job detailing cars. And I can say that. And maybe what I’m saying isn’t credible. Maybe it is credible.

But when you see more and more people at bespokerefinement . com saying positive things about their actual experience, What it does is it shapes the branding or the way we perceive the world. And so video reviews are so essential. Anything, Dave, you want to unpack on that? Because this is so essential for anybody out there. We’ve got to gather video testimonials from real clients.

Well, when I first met Thomas, I obviously came into the relationship with my daughter. And Avery’s kind of explained to me what he does. And she did a very poor job.

Because she didn’t really care.

She liked him.

And she’s like, he does something with cars.

I didn’t know if he washed cars or he had a body shop. Her understanding of what a car was, it was like, it’s the yellow one, it’s the blue one. That was her car. Now she knows him, man. Now she knows him, yeah. you know, a bad flow of info about what he does representing his brand.

And so finally, when I talked to him, I was like, what exactly do you do with cars? And he kind of explained it like he did high -end like jets. Like when I first talked to him, he had worked on a car. I don’t think it was a replica. It was the same year, but it was the same car that Kennedy was assassinated in. It was in a museum, you know, like he did.

paint correction on brand new Lamborghinis. You know, people that had million dollar cars, they were brand new and he’d do a paint correction on them. He has a very good eye. But he had a trouble scaling his business because it was very specific. He can’t just hire somebody to do it. So he worked on the highest end cars in the world.

But it was hard to explain. And a picture is worth a thousand words. So once he showed me some pictures, of cars he was working on, I’m like, oh my gosh. You are like the Patrick Mahomes of your space. The president of the International Ferrari Club, he does all of his cars.

He’s done hundreds of Ferraris for the Ferrari Club.

So the people that have the most expensive cars in the world trust him above anyone else to do his cars. But if you don’t have a Google review, if you don’t have a way to explain that, and you’re dependent on somebody who even loves you and wants to date you and wants to marry you, Even that person can’t explain and put you in a good light within your profession. You need to be in charge of your own messaging. Yeah, for sure. Now, in hammering home on this, the V -I -S -M -D, we’re gonna go 90 miles an hour so everybody can get all these moves, okay? Images.

Now, I know this seems obvious, but if I can, if I could have your wonderful producer, if I could have her pull up a website for a client here, Papa Gallo’s, they’re a pizzeria, they make pizza. And switching industries for a second, Papa Gallo’s, they’re in Satellite Beach, Florida.

And I’m helping them right now, I’m making their lobby awesome.

Papa Gallo’s, I think there’s maybe a different one, it’s Papa Gallo’s, and then type in Satellite Beach after it, I’m sorry I’m a poor navigator.

Papagallos and Salad Beets, that could be it, but Papagallos, in this particular business, Papagallos, they, their whole thing, and let me send you a different link in the description, there it is, awesome.

Okay, so they throw the dough. That’s fun. They have a certain alcohol that’s like flaming alcohols, whatever they’re doing there. That’s a good time. They’ve got the ocean side views, they’ve got the ocean, there’s a certain energy. And so I’m saying this, people say, you have to see it.

People say, oh, you had to see it. You had to be there. You had to have been there. So I was working with them. I’m going, guys, we really need to make your photos more robust on your Google Map. And there was a little bit of initial pushback, not that they’re difficult people.

I’m just saying, they didn’t know why. And I said, well, a couple of things. One is it makes you rank higher in the Google algorithm. And second is people need to see what you provide. Another example, I know it seems extreme and scary. but there’s a dentist I worked with for years.

He does cosmetic dentistry, veneers. And this guy’s work is like art, okay? And if you’ve ever had like a tooth that was injured and you need to replace it or something, or you had a tooth knocked out from a sporting, people become self -conscious of that.

And this guy is an artist of teeth.

And I said, bro, I’m looking at your gallery. You’re a great client. I’m excited to help you, but there’s no evidence that you do a good job. And he’s going, wow. I’ve been doing this for 25 years.

” I go, I know, but I don’t believe you if I’m a consumer. And so the eye images, you got to get those images. Colton, anything we want to unpack there? Because I know people, maybe we know this, it’s common sense. I just don’t think we’re intentionally doing it. No, it’s a huge thing.

A lot of times, people don’t even understand it. This is what I love about you specifically, Clay, is you broke this down for us one time in a conference of even the flow of why Google. You’re like, I don’t love Google. I’m not getting paid to be with Google. That’s where people’s eyes are. Back in the day, it was the yellow books.

And so when you first started your first business, you cut out yellow pages. Thank you. They’re in a yellow book as a yellow page, yeah.

But you were saying that you had the color right.

I’ve never had to look at a yellow book, all right? Yellow page. I just know that’s why you used to have like AAA stuff because that puts you at the top of it.

That’s right. It was a red piece of paper, Colton. That’s what we used to find everything. It was a red piece of paper. But back in the day, you’re like, we used to cut off the heat. We used to do whatever we could to get enough money to get the best ad in the Yellow Pages possible because that’s where people’s attention was.

When they needed services, they went to the Yellow Pages. People don’t use those anymore. They’re used more for interesting, like the strongman competitions where they tear them in half than they are actually being used. That’s not a functional thing.

But where people’s attention is right now is on Google, when you’re like, hey, we’re going to go out to eat tonight.

You go to your Google.

You go to Google and you type it in.

Like, I want this kind of a restaurant. I want this kind of a thing. Stay at a hotel. You’re going to look it up. And one of the first things you look at is the images. You’re like, what does this even look like?

And you’re like, oh, that one looks cool. What have they done? You kind of click through the images and swipe through them real quick. and see what else they have and what’s this look like. And then you start reading the reviews and you start kind of digging into these maps and how these people function. So this is Currently, the most important piece of all of it is the images.

What is the vibe of this place? Yeah, like Avery’s got there. That’s still Thomas’ business there, but you got the before and afters.

It’s important to see that, the transformations. If I was a weight loss coach or something, I got a Google Map, I want those before and after pictures. Those are what inspire people, because it gives them the hope of, oh, I could have this experience as well. If somebody else had that experience, I could have that experience as well. And by the way, we’re talking about one half of branding, which is one 14th of the business growth system today. OK, so we’re talking about one half of one 14th when you talk about.

So again, V . I . S. Search Engine Optimization. It is not an event. Building a website is not an event.

It’s a process. It’s a process. It’s not an event. And so it’s a process. What am I saying? You plant a garden, there’s going to be weeds that come up every week.

You got to pull those weeds. You have employees. I can’t tell you how many employees, and Dave, I wish this wasn’t true, but it’s true. I can’t tell you how clear my handbook is. Don’t date other employees. All the employees get together.

When they break up, all of a sudden I have a shake up in the office. It happens. I own different companies. And so it’s a thing. And so staffing people, I have a staff of almost 100 people. And so it’s constantly an ongoing process.

Building a website, it’s an ongoing process. Building a garden, it’s an ongoing process. Now, what is that process? We talk about it at the workshops. We’ll get into it. But you have to commit to writing original search engine content every single day.

And for every client we work with, we want them to write 500 words of original content per day. It stays a week. And if they don’t do it, we do it for them. So it’s powerful. And you say, well, why do you have to do that? Well, what happens is a buddy of mine, who you might have met at the conference, he goes hunting all the time.

And I’ll be very vague.

I don’t want to be disparaging about my hunting, but my friend that hunts.

But he tells me, Clay, I’m going to Alaska.

I go, that’s awesome. I love you’re going to Alaska. I love the hunting thing.

Tell me what happened.

He says, well, we got cameras we set out everywhere.

OK, they’re everywhere.

And so this bear’s like, oh, I’m a bear. I’m making my way through.

And maybe a bear’s like, I’m a bear.

I’m making my way through. Yeah, they’re looking for picnic baskets. Picnic baskets. I’m a bear. I’m a bear. And he says, but what happens is when they move, the camera turns on.

And it sends me an alert.

And I put a green dot on the little red dot.

I got my infrared. I’m seeing green. I got the red dot. And dead bear. Come on. You’re sick.

And I’m like, what kind of gear did you give the bear to make it fair? But anyway, I’m just joking. But what I’m saying is that what alerted the hunter to the activity or the presence of the bear was the cameras. And the cameras alerted him. Alerts Google to the fact that your business is alive is constantly every single day doing this pattern, V -I -S -M -D. So video reviews, images, search engine content, you gotta do it.

It’s not an event, it’s a process. M, more Google reviews. Now this is a real thing. I want everyone to look up bespoke refinement and the word Kansas City. We’re gonna go to Google’s bespoke refinement Kansas City. Now what you’re supposed to do is you’re not supposed to leave a review for a business unless you’ve had an experience with them, okay?

So I would recommend that if you’re watching today, show and you’d like to help a brother out, help a friend out, help somebody out. Maybe you don’t. Maybe you say, I don’t want to help this one out. Do a search for Bespoke Refinement Kansas City and watch a few testimonial videos. Just watch a couple of them. Just click on some photos and right about the time you get emotional, you start to get emotionally engaged, you start to say, this is so good.

But if you could leave them a review and say, wow, your before and afters are awesome. Wow, this is a great service. But you have to gather objective reviews. And it’s a thing. What I find at conferences, and I’m trying to help somebody out there, people say, what’s the one thing that grows a company? It’s not one thing.

It’s doing all of these things. That’s like going to an orchestra and saying, what’s the most important instrument? That’s like going to a symphony saying, what’s the most important instrument?

That’s like going to a songwriter and saying, what’s the most important word in the song? That’s like going to a baker and saying, what’s the most important ingredient? It simplifies our head to help think there’s one thing. But this is a big thing, but not the only thing. Everybody out there, B -I -S -M, video reviews, image, search engine content, more Google reviews. And this is huge, Clay, this is what, you know, you were talking about yellow pages earlier, this is what people’s attention is on right now.

Like if I was in Joplin right now, and I was like, I’m gonna start getting back into fitness, I’m gonna work out, and I type in Joplin gym, right, and you’re like, this is a magical thing, how do you get something to pop to the top?

This isn’t something like you just thought of or randomly that you know, you’ve coached people to do this to make sure.

When this happens, they pop up to the top. Kola Fitness is a client of yours. This is a client of yours. They’ve got 12 ,000 Google reviews. 12 ,000 for a gym. For a gym.

But it’s because they focus on it. You don’t accidentally, like, I’m sure 24 elite gyms, South Joplin, they’re good people. I bet if you followed their plan and their system, you’d probably also lose weight and do great. But when I go, the first thing I look at is I see, wow, Kola Fitness has 12 ,000 reviews. These guys have 177. I bet Kola is better.

Well, what causes it to pop up to the top is exactly what you’re saying there.

It’s visms there and how that operates and then working with you guys on that.

on the coaching is huge.

But wherever you are in the world, if you type in Dentist of Tulsa, if you type in whatever, your area and service, that’s what’s going to pop up when you type in Kansas City car detailing. The other thing good about Koloff Fitness is there’s no men shaving in the women’s locker room. Yes. Right. That’s important. Which is a win, also.

Which you would know about, by the way, if you watch their video reviews, Dave. If you watch their video reviews, many of the video reviews, they talk about that. They say, I like working out. By the way, Koloff Fitness has a dress code in the gym. what men and women can wear. They’re very clear.

I mean, seriously, they pass out Bibles to first -time members. And people in the video testimonials, they’ll ask them, what are your thoughts about your gym experience? And people go, I love the clean environment. I love the pro -Christ environment. But again, I’m trying to help somebody out there really activate, OK? So Napoleon Hill said that vision without execution is hallucination.

Thomas Edison, Thomas Edison, Thomas Edison has said, Almost the exact same statement, and you say, who said it first? I don’t care. We contribute every quote to Abraham Lincoln. We contribute every quote ever to Abraham Lincoln if we want to. I’m not talking about that. What I’m saying is that what bridges the gap between your goals and the achievement of those goals is discipline, right?

Jim Rohn talks about that. If you don’t like Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins probably paraphrased it. If you don’t like that, find Napoleon Hill. But the idea is it’s not about learning what information to do, it’s doing it. Be a doer of these words, not just a hearer. So V -I -S -M, video reviews, images, search engine content, and more Google reviews.

And then D, Dream 100.

This is so important.

I have a Dream 100 right now, and I’ll tell you who’s on my Dream 100. I have a Dream 100 list of people that I want to talk to every week. And it’s very important that we have that conversation. By the way, Dave, you’re on the list. Look at you, man. Yeah, that’s awesome.

You can’t maintain a list of people a dream 1 ,000. I can’t maintain 1 ,000 relationships. As a business guy, I can say, who are win -win relationships that I want to sow seeds into?

And I go, you know, there’s about 100 people.

So on that list, Eric Trump is on that list. Why is he on the list? Eric is a great guy. I don’t know there’s a rule book of what to do when your dad’s the president. Does he know everything? No.

Do we agree on everything? No. But he’s objectively a great business guy. He’s a worker. He’s trying to be a good husband. So I talk to Eric, and the conversations we have are private, but I’m just telling you what they are is he’s on the Dream 100 because I care about him.

General Flynn is on my Dream 100 list. Now, there are a lot of my life, one of my clients, I’ll be vague about what he does, he’s on my list. And this guy, he is going through everything and most of it is self -imposed. And I don’t know why I put him on my list. I don’t know if it’s a form of self -hate or if I really have an empathy for the guy.

But it’s like every possible poor life decision, he made it and now he’s here. and he came to a conference and I’m like, you know what, I’m gonna call that guy. But now think about your business for a second. If you’re a dentist, who are the 100 contacts you need to talk to every week? So who are the pediatricians that you want to refer you? If you’re a cosmetic surgeon, what are the gyms you want to refer you?

If you’re an automotive detailing company, who are the country clubs that you want to refer you? Who are the used car dealers that you want to refer you? If you’re a podcaster, who are the guests that you want to have on the show again? If you are a used car dealer, who are the frequent buyers you want to talk to. But you have to be intentional about these things, because by default, we’re all going to drift. And we’re not going to drift to success, we’re going to drift to failure.

So if you’re watching today’s show, I’ve got three strong calls to action for you. One, go to thrivetimeshow . com and find a way to get to the September 25th and 26th Business conference just find a way eliminate all excuses find a way to do that go out of your way to get there Put it in your calendar. I mean you got dr. Stella. You got Alina hobo. You got a man of grace You got Eric Trump.

You got Julie Green. You got Mel. Okay, you got pastor Dave Scarlett These are all wonderful people to actually run organizations and podcasts and businesses. They’re gonna be there the last conference We had 17 success stories will probably have the same number if you buy a VIP ticket You get to enjoy the VIP experience with Eric Trump. So step number one go to thrive timeshow . com Determine in your mind you’re going to get to that workshop.

Step number two, go to thrivetimeshow . com and look at those testimonials. Find one. Find somebody who looks like you on the testimonials button. Just scroll through it. You’re going to find someone who’s about your age, about your weight, about your background, about your interests.

and go, you know what, I’m gonna watch it. Because these are real people that are having real success. And in a world day where there’s 341 million Americans, according to usdebtclock . org, there’s 341 million Americans, and just 2 .7 % of our population is now self -employed, according to usdebtclock. Just 2 .7 % of our population is self -employed. And where Inc.

Magazine says that 96 % of businesses will fail, what I’m saying is in a world where by default one out of a thousand people achieve success, We have success stories everywhere. So go to Thrivetimeshow . com, step number one, get a ticket. Step number two, go on the testimonials button and just watch some of them. Look at somebody go, you know what, if they can do it. I can do it.

We’re all a creation by God. God did not create anybody by mistake. Every day that we have is a gift, and what we do with it is a gift to God. And step number three, use that promo code Flyover, baby. When we ask you, how’d you hear about it? Say, I heard about you through Flyover.

Because the Flyover, when you use the Flyover promo code, a couple things happen. You have a chance to win a backstage pass to meet everybody, and you also get a discount off all the tickets.

And if you’re in a tight spot financially, now that’s between you and God. Okay? But if you’re in a tight spot financially, you just tell our call rep, hey, I’m in a tight spot, and we have a scholarship where you can actually name your price. And so as of right now, as of right now, okay, we’ve got 170 tickets sold, 1 -7 -0, there’s 170 tickets sold. This event will probably have about 600 people there, okay?

So we’re a quarter of the way there, we got 100 days left until the big event, so go to thrivetimeshow . com, become the next success story, choose to become the next success story. I gotta take a deep breath, Dave. Okay, I do have a question for you then, Clay, while you’re taking your deep breath. Let’s say that somebody’s listening and they’re like, okay, I really want to go to the conference, but I would have an interest in you coaching me. I don’t want to wait the hundred days to get there to learn more. I have an interest in you possibly coaching me.

What does that look like? Because you only have 160 clients, so what does that look like? Well, the first thing is we do a free 13 -point assessment, and I do it for your sanity as the listener and for my sanity as well. So I talked to a guy yesterday. He has a multi -multi -million dollar company in Northern California. And he has been begging to become a client forever.

And I can’t work with him because it turns out I work with his direct competitor. So that’s why I do these assessments. I’m not going to work with two people that compete directly in the same part of the United States. That’s just a disingenuous thing.

So part of it is I want to make sure I’m a good fit, you’re a good fit. But what will happen is I talked to a lady about four weeks ago who has a bakery.

And her and her husband started this by going door -to -door selling baked goods at farmer’s markets, not even knowing whether it was legal to not have a booth, but to be selling bread at the farmer’s market. That’s how they started. And now they have a very successful bakery. And we did the assessment, and I said, you know what? I believe you guys are a good fit. And they were shocked.

They go, us? I go, oh, yeah. I’m not competing with you guys. It’s a good fit. I know I can help you. And so the three things I look for if I’m looking for a client is, are you selling a product I believe in?

Second is, are you a coachable person? And third is, is there a personality match? Can we help you down this path? Can we do it? And then the way we charge, it’s $1 ,700 a month, 1 -7 -0 -0. Or if you need a scholarship, we do that.

And the scholarship is basically some people are in a spot where they’re on the verge of needing a breakthrough because they’re having a breakdown. And they need a coach to help them get unstuck. And I get that.

And most of our clients are with us for six years or longer. And so it creates a thing where we’ve got a couple availabilities per month. And if you go to thrivetimeshow . com, you can request a free consultation. And I do, by the way, I’m booked up on those all next week. And so it’ll be like a eight -day delay, but I would encourage everybody go to thrive timeshow .

com request a free 13 -point assessment I enjoy doing it. I enjoy talking to you I enjoy meeting you and I promise if nothing else you’re gonna have a blasty blast on that 13 -point assessment Changing for us. There’s probably just as many people that you turn down as you accept Yeah, this isn’t a timeshare pitch. We’re like everybody can get one, right? know, like it’s got to be a good fit because you… you’re not in the business of just trying to take on as many as you can for the sake of doing it. I want to do one last little shout out here to Bespoke Refinement because it’s a shameless plug to my son -in -law.

If you want to follow in real time a progression of somebody who’s just recently come on to Clay as a client and see how it goes, go to Bespoke Refinement. If you want to follow, you want to look at a bunch of sick cars. They got unbelievable cars on there because Clay took him from a model of Charging a lot for these expensive cars to scaling this up and going you know lower price, detailing, more cars. It’s kind of a shift in his business model. You want to follow this, go there, go to his website, BespokeRefinement . com, or go to the Google section and look at the reviews, the videos, the pictures.

If you find a really sick looking Ford F -250 black on there, it may or may not be mine.

Because I’m also a believer in what he does, and it is incredible how great he gets these cars looking. And leaving a Google review would definitely help.

So if you’re able to do that.

I love these pictures this is great been a life changer for me, a life changer for my family. I’m already a life changer for my kids.

My kids know what assets are.

My kids know entrepreneurship.

They love it. And hopefully a life changer for my son -in -law.

So I’m betting on that.

I’m betting on that.

By the way, just so everybody knows the progression of your son -in -law, just the elephant in the room, I want to deal with that. He’s about 52 % of the way, come on, to the result he needs. Come on. That’s so exciting. I think he’s 52%. Your daughter would know better than I, but I think it’s 52%.

Yeah, 52%. I track every week. And that’s very encouraging or discouraging, depending upon how you look at it. But he’s putting in the work, and he’s competing in a very competitive marketplace. And it’s a very David and Goliath situation, where he’s David, there’s a big Goliath out there.

And he’s going to win. It’s going to be very successful. And I’m not prophetic, but I’m telling you, it is a certainty. It’s a mathematical certainty. He is going to be the dominant player in that automotive detailing space. And it’s worth everybody checking out Bespoke Refinement.

Go find it.

them on Google, and if you watch their video testimonials and they blow your mind, leave them a review.

Thank you so much, Clay, for your time.

Again, Flyover family, go to thrivetimeshow . com, thrivetimeshow . com. You can look at the 13 -point assessment, but you can also obviously register for that event in September. It’s going to be unbelievable. So, Clay, thanks again for your time.

We really appreciate it.

Clay Clark is here somewhere.

Where’s my buddy Clay?

Clay’s the greatest. I met his goats today. I met his dogs. I met his chickens. I saw his compound. He’s like the greatest guy.

I ran from his goats, his chickens, his dogs. So this guy’s like the greatest marketer you’ve ever seen, right?

His entire life, Clay Clark, his entire life is marketing.

4 ,000 % from February to February. Now I can better that.

Okay, Clay, I don’t think you know this. I don’t think you know this.

I’m pinching myself and if I cry, forgive me. In the last two and a half days, We have bettered our entire month of February in the last two and a half days. So and the phone’s blowing up. Everything’s just blowing up. You’re right. It is like a rocket ship.

we’re pinching ourselves, actually. I learned at the Academy at King’s Point in New York, acta non verba. Watch what a person does.

not what they say. But I recognized at the age of 15, I’m going, you know what? I am not going to live that way. And so I started a company out of my parents’ basement called DJConnection . com. And I decided I am going to have success.

And so I reached out to millionaires and people that I kind of knew through church and friendships and people that, parents of my friends. And I said, what book would you recommend that I read? I’m a 15 year old asking this question, true story. And I kept being told you got to read. Hello, hello, hello. Robert Kiyosaki, Rich Dad Radio Show.

It’s an exciting time.

Also I think a treacherous time, a spooky time also. But it’s always, you know, danger is a good time. Today my guest is Clay Clark and I went out with Tom Wheelwright to visit Clay with Eric Trump also. And the reason I wanna talk to Clay this morning is a very important subject called study. And the reason I say that is things are changing so fast And many people are completely missing the show. Things are changing at rapid, rapid, rapid speed.

Technology’s changing. So I went to Tulsa, well, again, with Tom Wheelwright and Eric Trump.

And the thing I was so impressed about Clay is this word called study.

I don’t know. You guys must be in your water or something, Clay. But boy, I was so, so impressed how big you guys are. But what really impressed me was You have this huge congregation. They’re all about guys your age. They’re on fire.

And you start your classes at five in the morning. Now, let me talk to you about study here. We show our books. here. This is how I study. You know, this is the creature from Jack O ‘Lantern.

It’s on the fed. And Clay’s doing the same thing. We study. So I go out to Clay’s place in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He’s built this huge compound out there. And you guys start at five o ‘clock in the morning.

That’s not by Zoom. They drive there. They show up five o ‘clock, bright -haired, bushy -tailed, and all this, and they’re on fire. Your group is on fire.

So that’s what was unclear.

This technology, you tell your group, I was so, so impressed because, like I said, studies became a bad word.

I got into fights in my own company because our staff didn’t want to study anymore. And I just, I don’t know how they cannot do that.

So Clay, anyway, welcome to the Rich Dad Radio Show. That’s what I wanna talk to you about, is how do you do it? Five o ‘clock in the morning, you have hundreds of people showing up in your huge, huge, huge auditorium on your property to study.

Anyway, welcome to the show, Clay, and what turns you on so much? That’s what I wanna know. Give us a little bit about your background. My name is Karime Schofield, and the name of our company is Whistle While You Clean. I am Sophia Schofield. We live in Cincinnati, Ohio, and we service the tri -state.

So Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana. We were getting a phone call and we were like, why is someone calling our business line? That’s unusual. And we picked it up and it was a lead. I mean, it’s it’s been incredible, Clay. It’s we’ve had like we’ve gone from zero to like 100 percent growth.

Like we’re like a full functioning company. It’s great. Like we were blown away at how well we’re doing. So working with you guys, you guys have really taught us a lot about generating leads and pursuing our dream 100. So we have a list of customers that we want to market to. And so we’ve been making phone calls.

We’ve been showing up in person. We’re trying to get near the businesses that they would visit if they were visiting like a hair salon or something. And then we start calling them and we just start pursuing them. And then the other thing that we do is when we do do cleans, we take a lot of video testimonials and we post those to our website so other customers can see. And then we also upload a lot of images of the things that we do. And so We’re also asking our clients for Google reviews after we’ve cleaned their houses.

And so it’s this constant cycle of doing those things over and over and over again. I would say if you’re on the fence, go to one of Clay’s conferences. They are hilarious. They’re fun. They’re educational. They’re so good that even my teenagers like them.

And I would say don’t let fear hold you back. If you want to start a business, do the obvious thing and hire someone who knows how to run businesses.

If I wanted to get in shape, I’d hire a gym person, you know, a personal trainer.

This is like the personal training for business. It has been absolutely amazing. I mean, our coach is encouraging. When he first met with us, he said, Do we want him to be like a drill sergeant with us? You know, what level of intensity do we want him to give us? And I will say he is incredibly, incredibly encouraging all the time.

And he just hits the same mark with us every single time.

It’s very repetitive. But I feel like I think we both really learn a lot every time we sit down and have a conversation with him over the phone.

It’s it’s he keeps pushing us to go further and he can recognize when we’re afraid to do something and he’ll give us a little bit of grace but that next week he’s drilling us again like pushing us to go harder. Our no -brainer offer is we are offering your first clean for a dollar.

And that sounds absolutely insane.

It even sounded insane when I was talking over it with our business coach.

And I would tell you that that has generated some of our hugest clients. I mean, that has been like a game changer because it opened up the door to more clients, more recommendations, more leads.

And we were surprised how far that Dollar Clean got us.

How important has it been for you to work out that scripting?

Even though you offer a dollar for the first clean, how important has it been for you to nail that down? It’s been really important, because it kind of, it hones in, so that you’re not just all over the place when you’re trying to explain what it is that you do. And a lot of times, it’s like you’re a good person offering a good product, and you have integrity, and you want to communicate that. But when you go to communicate without a script or without practice, it’s just like, a mess coming out of your mouth, as opposed to having this, you know, honed in practice where you know what you’re going to say, you know how you’re going to say it, and you can almost expect better results when you do it that way.

Had you ever been an entrepreneur before starting this particular business? No, never.

Did you ever think about wanting to own your own business someday? Or what was the first time you thought, you know, maybe I would like to open my own business?

Absolutely.

I’ve probably been dreaming about it for about 10 years. Let me go to your daughter here. Had you ever thought about wanting to team up and open your own business? Or was that something that you were maybe excited about or not? Not so much? Well, for me, my parents would always listen to your podcast and business podcast.

And as I started listening to them, I started realizing that I wanted to own a business. It’s www . WhistleWhileYouClean . com. Honestly, the hardest thing was getting over the fear. It was the fear of the unknown.

It was there was like a cloud of doubt that, you know, you can’t do this, you’re going to fail. There was a few sleepless nights there when we did pull the trigger and join your team and start the coaching process. Even my husband put a little bit of pressure on me from time to time because it just it was just absolutely scary to take that jump and actually start a business.
