What locations do you have right now? Do you have 11 locations? Is that right?
(Speaker 5)
We’re at 10 right now.
(Speaker 24)
10 locations.
(Speaker 5)
I’ve got a couple of franchisees in the mix right now that I’m hoping can get signed up in the next few weeks. But yeah, we’re at 10 right now.
(Speaker 1)
So now you’ve got 10 locations. Can you maybe share with the listeners out there why you reached out for some coaching and why it was important to you to systemize everything before franchising? Yeah, I mean, two things.
(Speaker 5)
That’s a great question too, Clay. So me and my older son, we’re talking, and we were like, man, I just feel like our hair is always on fire. Every single morning, we just wake up and our hair is on fire. And one of our franchisees, who I’ve known for a long time,
(Speaker 5)
he’s a franchisee of ours in Nashville now, he had reached out to me and said, hey Gabe, I’ve been listening to this podcast, you need to check it out, you need to listen to Clay. And man, he reminds me a lot of you and a lot of the stuff that you talk about,
(Speaker 5)
he talks about and actually shows you how to actually achieve these things. And so I listened to your podcast quite a few times and then I was like, man, this guy’s speaking my language. Patrick is 100% correct. And so, and me and Reese knew that we needed to do something because one, we were stuck, two, we were tired
(Speaker 5)
of having our hair on fire every single morning. And so we said, there’s gotta be a better way and we’ve gotta figure out how to scale this thing so that we are just getting out of this little, this one portion of revenue that we were in. And so we did, and it’s been a great thing. And man, I tell you, I think about it all the time, man.
(Speaker 5)
It’s like, I remember the first time we talked, and then I remember the first coach that we had, and then I remember them just saying, hey, we’re gonna do this, we’re gonna do this, this, this, and this. And I was like, dang, okay. I wanted to say no so bad, but I was like, I gotta say yes. I just gotta embrace it. I’m gonna let them do their professional thing. And then I got locked in my office and I was writing
(Speaker 5)
out systems and stuff. I mean, you guys had me writing everything out and it was great because that’s what I needed. And that’s what we needed to get over the hump and get to the next level so that now we can franchise out.
(Speaker 1)
I think that, and maybe I’m putting words in your mouth, so please feel free to correct me, but I think that we actually, you actually developed traction much faster than most people because you had such a hunger to do it. And I think we got from where you were to where you wanted to be much quicker than most people. I mean, I work with 160 brands and I’ve been doing this for 20 years. So when I think about my portfolio of clients, I go, wow, Gabe Salinas
(Speaker 1)
is kind of in the top 5% of the class. Could you talk about your experience? There’s, I feel like for me, you guys really went from where you were to where
(Speaker 5)
you wanted to be pretty quickly. Yeah. I mean, we, I mean, window ninjas were seven years in now and people are always amazed that we did it really fast. Um, and speed is speed is important, especially as you get older. Like we, we get, you know, everybody’s over on I’m 50 years old now, but, um, it’s, it doesn’t, it’s not really hard to get to point a and point B quickly, if you just follow the map. I mean if I want to go from here to California, hey man it’s cool I just got
(Speaker 5)
to get on one road. But if I zigzag on to 15 other roads man it’s gonna take me forever. But yeah man I mean I was very tenacious. I was focused and when I put my teeth into something I mean I just devour it until it’s done. And I’m not saying we’re done because I have noticed that, you know, once we got, it seemed like everything done, then it was like, cool, now we’re going to franchise. Okay, now that’s a whole nother ballgame and we’ve gotten that, you know, mapped out.
(Speaker 5)
And every now and again, I’ll come across some stuff and like, dang, I missed that. Or that’s something new that came up. But when I can talk to Andrew, my coach, every week, I can bring that to him and then he’s like, okay, cool, I’m glad you brought that up. Let’s fix it, we’ll do this, we’ll do that.
(Speaker 5)
I need you to do this, I’m gonna take care of this on this side and bam, it’s done. You got to do the work every single day. Remember what I was just talking about? Production and service. Andrew says, hey buddy, I need you to serve me this week, man, I need you to do ABC. And I’m like, I got you, brother. ABC is done, man.
(Speaker 5)
It’s like, you’re not going to tell me I just let you down because I’m not going to do it.
(Speaker 1)
I’m not wanting to put to the right, it’s easy to get from where you are to where you want to be if you follow the map.
(Speaker 5)
It’s that simple. It’s just that simple. Everybody makes it hard, Clay. I don’t know why. I just don’t get it. I mean, everybody makes it hard.
(Speaker 1)
Okay, so I want to get your thoughts here, Anthony. What are your thoughts or what’s your follow up question there for Gabe?
(Speaker 14)
The follow-up question is for the people who are saying, wow, Gabe, I just can’t follow the systems, I just want to live that free lifestyle and I’m going to get to where I’m going without the pad. What would you say to them to encourage them to just start small with systems and how it has helped you?
(Speaker 5)
Well, the first thing I would say, I’d give him a little tough love and I’d say, you’re full of garbage, crap, stop lying to yourself. Never tell yourself you can’t do anything. I’m a firm believer that you can do anything that you put your mind to. Can’t should not be in anybody’s vocabulary.
(Speaker 5)
And then the second thing I would say is, hey, you can do it. You got to put the time in. You got to put the work in. And if you really want that dream bad enough, if you want that goal, if that’s the number one thing on your list, man, I want this thing, then you’ve got to put the work in and you’ve got to sit down, tell yourself you can do it, figure out the time and energy that it’s going to take to get that task completed and done and marked off as you’re off your goal list and just sit down and get it done and go find somebody that’s an expert in your field
(Speaker 5)
or in their field something that maybe you don’t know anything about and reach out to them and let them help you you can’t you can’t do everything I’m not an expert at everything but I was smart enough fortunately when I grew up I was always playing in sports and I always had a coach I was a quarterback so I had a quarterback coach an offensive had an offensive coach, you know, defensive guys had their own coaches.
(Speaker 5)
I mean, I have a list of coaches, right? But man, I just went back and I thought about that and I said, man, I can’t do this unless I have somebody coaching me along the way. Somebody that’s been there,’s why I do it.
(Speaker 1)
This is powerful stuff. Now we’re moving on to step four and there’s so many, when you go to window ninjas.com folks you are entering into an opportunity to really achieve financial freedom. Now step number four I want to be very clear this is so important. Everybody write this down. This is a true story, I’ve never shared this with Gabe. I have not shared this with Gabe. I’ve shared this at conferences before. You know I paid a guy $25,000 for this tip I’m giving you right now?
(Speaker 14)
I did not know that.
(Speaker 1)
Okay, so there’s a guy by the name of Michael Levine. I’m gonna pull him up here. Michael Levine, okay. Now Michael Levine, I’m Michael Levine on the screen here. So Michael Levine was the PR consultant of choice for Michael Jackson, for Prince, for Barbra Streisand, for George Carlin, for, I mean, just insert the name of big, you know, Joan Rivers.
(Speaker 1)
I mean, come on, we can sit there. What? Michael J. Fox. Were you serious? David Bowie. I mean, this is like the world’s number one PR guy. Okay, this guy, you know a Rodney Dangerfield What am I saying? Am I just listing celebrities? No, these are his actual Clients. Okay. This is a guy who’s the author of 19 books. I call the guy
(Speaker 1)
I’m gonna mangle the story, but the story goes like this. I wanted to I wanted to pick his brain, he said no. I said I’d like to learn from you, he said no. I said well what does that cost if I want to? He said $25,000, you got three hours, let’s go. So I go out to California, I got three hours, $25,000 for three hours, true story. And I’m sitting down with this guy,
(Speaker 1)
and $25,000 for three hours. And he says to me, you have to document your successes and your systems. Now again, full context, I reached out to the guy after having built America’s most successful entertainment company. So I had systems, okay? So when you go to DJConnection.com, I sold that thing in 2007, but I had systems.
(Speaker 1)
I had systems. Oh, I had systems. And we were doing 4,000 weddings a year, okay? I sold that company. And he says, Clay Clark, you need to document your success and your systems. And I said, I am.
(Speaker 1)
He says, you are? And he’s kind of a theatrical fun guy. And I said, I am. He says, no, you’re not. And I said, I am. He goes, really?
(Speaker 1)
So when I go to your website, do I see thousands of success stories because I’ve read about you and I know that you’ve helped thousands of clients, but are they documented? Do you have video testimonials? Do you have them? Or are you, because I as a consumer do not believe you.
(Speaker 1)
In fact, you should never say something you can’t prove. So even if what you’re saying is true, you should not say it. Even if you’re saying the truth, no one will believe you unless it is documented because you, my friend, must document your success and your systems. And I’m thinking there, I’m thinking, I’m going, well, how do I do that?
(Speaker 1)
And he says, it’s called a video camera. You’re going to film the video testimonials of real clients that you’ve really helped. And that’s how you’re gonna, and I’m thinking there’s gotta be more, but it’s so powerful.
(Speaker 1)
It is so powerful to have real success stories from real clients and real objective Google reviews from real clients and real before and afters. And I’m going to show everybody three examples and I’m going to brag on Gabo here. This is so powerful, okay?
(Speaker 1)
So first example, one of my clients, great client, Cavell Fit, wonderful guy, he has a training company, he’s based in Idaho, long time client of mine, Cavell Fit, let’s see if I can pull it up, Cavell Fit, Cavell, come on, let’s go, Cavell Fit, here we go, Cavell Fit,
(Speaker 1)
let me put in Idaho after it, we’ll find it, Kvelfit, Idaho, here he is, Kvelfit. And this guy has been doing personal training forever, but he has over a thousand objective Google reviews. And even better yet, he has so many before and after photos from real people that have lost real amounts of weight. And something incredible happens when you see real people posting their real before and after photos after they’ve really lost real weight.
(Speaker 1)
There’s something significant and powerful that happens when you have real success stories with real men and real women who’ve lost real weight and they say, not only could it happen, but it did happen. It’s so powerful. How many people out there, think about it folks, if you’re watching today’s show, would you pay a personal trainer thousands of dollars
(Speaker 1)
a month if you didn’t know if it worked? No, you would not. So you need video testimonials. Great job, Brett Denton. Another example, long-time client of mine, Dr. Whitlock, cosmetic surgeon. This guy has thousands of reviews.
(Speaker 1)
You type in Whitlock, okay, the first client was in Idaho. This guy is in Tulsa, Oklahoma. How many of you would schedule a procedure to have a glass, say you have glass or a scar, you got a car accident so glass caused scarring on your face, how many of you would just pay the first guy you met to remove the glass from your face? No you wouldn’t, you would want to read reviews and see video testimonials. The toughest testimonials to gather, by the way, are testimonials for a cosmetic surgeon.
(Speaker 1)
Why?
(Speaker 25)
Hello?
(Speaker 1)
I mean, I’m just telling, it’s a tough one, but this guy has so many video testimonials. People say, why would it be tough to get video testimonials from women who’ve had cosmetic surgery done?
(Speaker 25)
Hello?
(Speaker 1)
So, nothing’s tougher than this than getting, but again, if you’re watching today’s show and you care about your family, you care about your business, you care about your success, document your success and your systems. Now we’re going to go to Oxifresh, then we’re going back to Gabe. Oxifresh.com. We are now the world’s highest rated service company.
(Speaker 1)
Of every company in the whole world, we have 315,000 objective reviews. We have helped them to now achieve 500 locations. They have over 500 locations and you say, what? Yes, and could we get more? Yes, we get more every day.
(Speaker 1)
And so if you’re out there today and you don’t hate yourself, okay, you have to document your success and your systems. Now we go to windowninjas.com. You guys are the hot sauce in the window cleaning industry. When people look you up, they find a lot of success stories.
(Speaker 1)
They find happy clients everywhere. People do a Google search for windowninjas.com. Nobody’s perfect, but you guys have so many objective reviews from real customers. But again, we could always get more. Can we get more? Yes, we could always get more. Gabe, I want to ask you, what kind of impact has it made to gather objective reviews from real customers?
(Speaker 5)
Man, it’s a game changer. I mean, it really is. People want to know, especially today’s modern customer, they want more information. And that’s a good thing. And so the very first thing that they’re looking for is, is this company reputable? What do people say about them? And am I gonna feel safe with these guys on my property?
(Speaker 5)
And so by getting the most Google reviews, and when we started doing that with our coaching, I didn’t realize how much of an impact it would make on our business. But it’s huge because we are one of the highest rated and most reviewed window and pressure cleaning companies in in our markets and it’s a good thing and
(Speaker 5)
what we found out was that a lot of our competitors realized that hey man these guys are getting a lot of reviews and so they kind of start following suit as well which is really good because I always like the competition but those reviews are extremely important good ones and bad ones, because hey, let’s say you get a bad one. Maybe you forget to do a window,
(Speaker 5)
or I’m sorry, maybe you missed something, or whatever the case may be. You forget to call a customer, it happens, right? Somebody gets upset, and they wanna leave a one star, two star, whatever. Okay, great, hey, I welcome those too, because those are important, because what’s really, really important is when you miss something and you own up to it
(Speaker 5)
with a response to the review, and you don’t ask that customer to change that review, but you own the fact that you made a mistake and you didn’t do 100%. People pay attention to that as well. So reviews are huge.
(Speaker 5)
Go get those thousands of them, the five stars. Definitely you gotta work on that every single day. You gotta wow the customer, you gotta serve them, you gotta produce every single day. But if you do get that bad review, I would never ever shy away from it. I would own it and then I would also make sure
(Speaker 5)
that you reach out to the customer and say, hey, we actually failed you. And that’s what people are looking for. So those reviews can work both ways, Clay. The good ones and the bad ones. It’s just how you handle them and making sure that you get more of the positive reviews than you’re
(Speaker 1)
getting bad ones for sure. Well he just said there’s a lot of wisdom there folks. I encourage you maybe pause it, watch that again. A lot of wisdom there for business owners. A lot of wisdom right there. With the final 90 seconds we have here, I’ve got two final questions for you. One is somebody says, well, Clay, you’re bragging on Window Ninjas and the success he’s had. Well, how much has he grown? Gabe, if you had to, from the time you and I met to now, I mean, how much growth have you had?
(Speaker 1)
I mean, because you guys are really a fast-growing company. When you think about Inc. Magazine is saying that 96% of businesses fail. What? Inc. Magazine says that 96% of businesses fail by default. What kind of growth have you had over these past three, four years that you and I have been working together?
(Speaker 5)
Man, we have, since we’ve been working together, I mean, we have more than doubled our size and we’re projected to double again within the next, I was looking at some numbers, but we should be there within the next three years of doubling again, if not sooner.
(Speaker 5)
I’d like to get there in about a year and a half. But yeah, the systems matter, man. I mean, if you don’t have systems and if you’re not constantly tweaking those systems, because we do notice that at certain points, Clay, we get stuck, you know, you’ll get to a certain revenue and it’s kind of like you get stuck. And so what it takes to get to that next section of
(Speaker 5)
revenue takes a little more, a little tweaking, and you got to recognize those things. But yeah, yeah, we’re gonna, we’ve grown tremendously and anybody that’s looking for coaching services or looking to get unstuck, man, I would definitely have them reach out to you, Clay, because you guys have done a great job and helped us tremendously.
(Speaker 1)
Well, I’ll say this too. One of my clients I talked to, I won’t mention his name because he’s asked me. Some of my clients have a business where they’re out front, that ties into our final point, where they’re out front leading the way.
(Speaker 1)
Other clients of mine, they kind of like to be off the grid. Maybe they got 10 different companies. One of my clients, he created, we’ll call it like the Uber for medical. So imagine you’re a hospital and you need a nurse or a doctor and you need a doctor or a nurse, but you need them now. So it’s like an Uber for hospitals. What you do is you go onto this app or the system where there’s approved nurses and doctors and you say, Hey, I’m looking for a doctor or nurse to fill this shift now or tomorrow or in five hours. So it’s like an Uber. Have you ever used Uber? It’s like you can get a vehicle when you need it.
(Speaker 1)
It’s like Uber for medical. His business just passed a billion dollar valuation. Billion dollar. And someone says, what? I’m telling you this because when Gabe said, hey, we’ve doubled and we’re on pace to double,
(Speaker 1)
our projections are showing we should be able to double again. It is tough to double a company. If you’re already doing business, it’s tough to double a company. So what Gabe is doing there, Window Ninjas is a hot sauce, fast growing brand. And I’m telling you, if you’re looking for a proven plan,
(Speaker 1)
Window Ninjas is something you should check out here. Final question I have for you, then I’ll let Anthony ask you a follow up here. five is you have to become the leader that your people need. So unless you’re an odd person, you’re not going to go to a church where the pastor doesn’t bring the heat. What? You’re not going to go to a church and listen to a pastor that doesn’t know what he’s talking
(Speaker 1)
about. Unless you’re an odd human, you’re not going to go to a mechanic who pulls your car into the bay and says, excuse me, sir, what’s wrong with your car? And you’re like, well, that’s why I’m taking my car to you because I need you to tell me. Well, sir, that’s great, but let me ask you, what’s wrong with your car? I mean, you’re not gonna, that’s not gonna be the guy you go to.
(Speaker 1)
You’re not gonna go to a muffler shop where it’s like Build-A-Bear for your own muffler. You’re not gonna go to a shop yourself, right? You have to be a leader that your people need. No one’s going to follow you if you personally don’t have your crap together. And I’m not saying that Gabe Sweeness is perfect, but I’m going to brag on him for a second. This is a man who’s focused on his family, he’s focused on his business, and he’s focused on his fitness. Now there’s other things he’s focused on too, but I’m going to recap again. This is a man who’s focused on his family, he’s focused on his business, and he’s focused on his fitness. But if this guy was an out of control crazy person
(Speaker 1)
who struggled with the concept of time and space and getting stuff done, nobody would work for somebody like that. And years ago, I remember I helped a business owner grow his business, he was in the hair space, and basically what he would do after every day of work
(Speaker 1)
was just get intoxicated. And I’m telling this guy, I love that I’m helping you grow your business, but you can’t be hammered from like 12 noon to 10 or from three to 10. You can’t be hammered every day. Your people need you.
(Speaker 1)
And when you’re clearly intoxicated during the workday, that’s a bad look. And he says, well, I’m just overwhelmed. Clay, I hired you to help me grow because I didn’t have customers. Now I have customers and I’m just overwhelmed and I’m going, you gotta stay off the drugs, buddy. Gotta stay, I’m serious, these are real conversations.
(Speaker 1)
You gotta stay off the alcohol, stay off the sauce. And then the guy says to me, let me ask you, how do you tell, this is a real thing, I promise I have a point here. This is a guy, I’ll be vague about what he does he did, but he says to me, how do you tell your wife that you got another woman pregnant? And I’m going, what?
(Speaker 1)
This is not a therapies company. We’re a coaching service. And I’m telling you this story because money’s just a magnifier. And I’m telling this guy, I’m going, I don’t know. First off, you shouldn’t be impregnating people you’re not married to and he’s like yeah but the problem is this person’s one of my key employees so I got to keep him around that I’m going oh I’m saying that because money is a magnifier and people I mean it if you’re watching this show and you do everything we’ve talked about but you have
(Speaker 1)
some serious issues in your life the first person that you need to learn how to lead is yourself it’s all about self-discipline so Gabe what would you say to somebody who’s you know going, you know, I like the systems I like the processes but you know, I gotta haven’t really got myself together first Can you talk about that because you are a very regimented guy. You already came into our world as a regimented guy Can you talk about just how you daily manage yourself?
(Speaker 5)
Well, it starts with a calendar but it it comes back to the attitude. I mean, you know, I got a lot of people that depend on me. And so as a leader, you’ve got to lead them and you got to set a good example as well. I’m not saying I’m perfect. I have my own problems. But you know what, when I have a problem, I go find the right person to help me with that problem. So owning up to your own self problems is one thing but um man I just think there’s a lot of things that you can do to keep yourself busy, focused and
(Speaker 5)
it starts with taking care of yourself. You got to know you know like I know what I want my life to look like. I know what I want my family to be like and I know what I want my body to look like. I want to be here for as long as I can, so I got to take care of myself, which is one of the reasons why I get up every morning and I go do something physical. I do something spiritual every day because it’s important to me and I learn something new every single day. And by doing those things, man, it just allows me to keep
(Speaker 5)
pushing forward and saying, man, I’m on the right track. And I have a good life, man. I enjoy myself. I enjoy my life. I don’t have to come into the office on Fridays anymore, which is a great thing. I’m getting ready to take off the next half week.
(Speaker 5)
I’m gonna go to get my son from college Monday. I mean, it’s gonna be great. I mean, but I just stay focused on what’s important to me and what’s important for the people that are following me. You know, I’m their leader. You know, I got to set a good example. So that helps me stay on the right path. You know, I don’t want to let anybody down. I’m just not that kind of person. So for me, it’s pretty simple to do. I guess
(Speaker 5)
for some, it’s just a lot more difficult. Like I said, man, I just don’t like
(Speaker 1)
letting people down. I don’t want to be a failure at anybody. Anthony, final 30 seconds. What question would you have for Gabe Salinas of windowninjas.com?
(Speaker 14)
Really quick. So some people think that leaders just get up every day and they just grind it out and they just got there in a day. How often do you chisel on your character that got you to where you are now?
(Speaker 5)
Man, I focus on that every day. Like where I am and where I want to be. That’s why I get up. One of the first things I do in the morning is I study. I study something that is one of my weaknesses. And so I will continue to study that until I have mastered it and then I can go on to the next thing that I feel like I’m weak at.
(Speaker 5)
Because I didn’t used to be the greatest communicator and so I’ve gotten better at that. I learned to study. I had a hard time saying good job, patting people on the back. I was just, it’s like, just for whatever reason, I just, I was more expectations, had more expectations.
(Speaker 5)
Like, oh yeah, cool, you got that good. But anyways, yeah, just learning how to do things better. Things that I might’ve been good at, I wanted to get better at, things that I wasn’t didn’t know anything about I needed to understand I got better at, but studying, training, educating myself more every single day, and then taking time off for myself. Go
(Speaker 5)
run or go lift weights or whatever. Just be physical every single day, man, because it does rejuvenate your body. And spending time with my family is important. So you just gotta find the things that are really, really important to you. Focus on those things, take care of your business, take care of your employees, just do the right thing, serve other people, be productive every single day, man.
(Speaker 5)
Everything just falls in line if you do those things, man. It’s just that simple.
(Speaker 1)
Folks, if you’re looking to join a proven leader in his industry a man who’s going places a guy who’s got an franchise Opportunity that’s affordable for the average person go to window ninjas calm window ninjas calm Gabe Salinas I can’t tell you how much we appreciate you being on the show offering your wisdom today That’s window ninjas calm and we look forward to seeing you next week, sir. Sounds great Clay Hope you guys have a good week. Take care. Bye. bye. But I recognized at the age of 15, I’m going, you know what, I am not gonna live that way. And so I started a company out of my parents’ basement
(Speaker 1)
called DJConnection.com and I decided I am going to have success. And so I reached out to millionaires and people that I kind of knew through church and friendships and people that, parents of my friends. And I said, what book would you recommend that I read? I’m a 15 year old asking this question. True story. And I kept being told, you gotta read.
(Speaker 3)
Hello, hello, hello, Robert Kiyosaki, Rich Dad Radio Show. It’s an exciting time. Also, I think a treacherous time, a spooky time also. But it’s always, you know, danger is a good time. Today, my guest is Clay Clark. And I went out with Tom Wheelwright to visit Clay
(Speaker 3)
with Eric Trump also. And the reason I wanna talk to Clay this morning is a very important subject called study. And the reason I say that is things are changing so fast and many people are completely missing the show. You know, things are changing at fast, and many people are completely missing the show. You know, things are changing at rapid, rapid, rapid speed.
(Speaker 3)
Technology’s changing. As I went to Tulsa, well again, with Tom Wheelwright and Eric Trump, and the thing I was so impressed about, Clay, is this word called study. I don’t know, you guys must be in your water or something, Clay, but boy, I was so, so impressed
(Speaker 3)
how big you guys are. But what really impressed me was you have this huge congregation, they’re all about guys your age, they’re on fire. And you start your classes at five in the morning. Now let me talk to you about study here.
(Speaker 3)
We show our books here, this is how I study. You know this is the creature from Jack O’Lantern, it’s on the fed, and Clay’s doing the same thing, we study. So I go out to Clay’s place in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He’s built this huge compound out there and you guys start at five o’clock in the morning,
(Speaker 3)
that’s not by Zoom. They drive there, they show up five o’clock, bright haired, bushy tailed and all this and they’re on fire, your group is on fire. So that’s what was, Clay, this technology, tell your group I was so, so impressed
(Speaker 3)
because like I said, study has become a bad word. I got into fights in my own company because our staff didn’t want to study anymore. And I just, I don’t know how they cannot do that. So Clay, anyway, welcome to the Rich Dad Radio Show. That’s what I want to talk to you about
(Speaker 3)
is how do you do it? Five o’clock in the morning, you have hundreds of people showing up in your huge, huge, huge auditorium on your property to study. Anyway, welcome to the show, Clay, and what turns you on so much?
(Speaker 3)
That’s what I wanna know.
(Speaker 1)
Give us a little bit about your background. Well, I’ll say this. First off, it’s a beyond an honor to be on your show, and I’ve been buying gold specifically since 2005 when it was $450 an ounce because of you. And now the price of gold is over 3,400, who knows what it’s gonna be when the show comes out.
(Speaker 1)
So again, I mean, I can’t thank you enough for helping me increase my net worth by sevenfold, eightfold. Second thing is your books have made such an impact on my life and for anybody who doesn’t have your books, I recommend that you read these books. What happens is it’s not about knowledge,
(Speaker 1)
it’s about the application of knowledge. So Napoleon Hill, the best-selling author of the book called Think and Grow Rich, he said that action is the real measure of intelligence. And so when I read your books, I was also reading Napoleon Hill.
(Speaker 1)
That’s why my son’s name is Aubrey Napoleon Hill Clark. I named my son after Napoleon Hill. And I’m going, in this book, there’s great potential power, but knowledge without application is meaningless. And so I started, Robert, a DJ company, which I haven’t owned in over 15 years, called DJConnection.com.
(Speaker 1)
And we were doing 4,000 weddings a year. 4,000 weddings a year, that’s 80 weddings every weekend, and people kept saying, can I pick your brain, can I pick your brain, and so this was the pitch I told people, I said, here’s the deal, you cannot pick my brain, but I will charge you some fee that you can pay on a monthly basis,
(Speaker 1)
and I just want a small percentage of your growth. And they go, huh? I go, just a small percentage of your growth because that makes it worth it, my time and your time and the whole thing. And then eventually, Robert, I got to 160 clients and I thought to myself, that’s a lot of partners, a lot of clients, I know what I’ll do, let’s just start having conferences.
(Speaker 1)
And so this is my 20th year having these conferences and I think why people come at five in the morning is because when they go to Thrivetimeshow.com, they see over 2,000 documented case studies of real people on video that say, hey, my name is Aaron Antus and I’ve grown my company from 14 million to 150 million. And people go, what?
(Speaker 1)
And people say, hi, my name is Lindsey Blankenship and I was a startup and now it’s a multimillion dollar company called Revitalize Medical Spa. And people go, hi, I’m the founder of OxyFresh, I now have 500 locations. And people go, 500 locations? And so, Robert, I guess the answer is,
(Speaker 1)
I have a very low turnover program with 160 long-time clients, very limited availability. And it works, and people want to apply what they’re learning, and so that’s why it was such an honor to have you, because you’re the master of application,
(Speaker 1)
and you and Tom Wheelwright, you guys broke down the biggest expense that every entrepreneur faces, which is taxes, and you made it very practical, very tactical, and it was an honor to have you and Eric Trump there. And now that Eric Trump comes to all of our business conferences, I said,
(Speaker 1)
we’ve gotta get Robert Kiyosaki in the house. So again, thank you for lowering your standards
(Speaker 3)
and joining me, sir. Ha ha, in my standards. I was, I just wanted to let everybody know, you have, how many acres do you have out there? You have your house, you have this, I call it an amphitheater, and that’s really an amphitheater, but it’s an auditorium that you built on your property.
(Speaker 3)
And like I said, your parking lot fills up at five o’clock in the morning. How do you, what, how come you guys are on fire in Tulsa, Oklahoma?
(Speaker 1)
Well, you know, it’s wild too, Robert, is you know, probably 95% of my clients are not from Oklahoma. So what happens is, is I tell people, okay, we have limited availability. We’re gonna have 300 people at this conference.
(Speaker 1)
I keep the attendance small. And I say, listen, if you’re not wanting to grow your company, if you’re just coming because you want to get a photo with a celebrity and you like fog machines and you like skinny jeans and fancy clothes and you like to just pose and get fake influencers to take fake photos with you, don’t come. But if you’re a real entrepreneur and you’re not afraid
(Speaker 1)
of giving someone a high five at five, come to our conferences. And I think that’s been the filter process because when you study the lives of multi-millionaires, I mean, over the years, I’ve interviewed the founder of Square, I’ve interviewed
(Speaker 1)
the founder of Netflix, I’ve interviewed Wolfgang Puck, guys like yourself. When I interview people like Eric Trump, they all wake up at 6 a.m. or before. You just don’t see super successful people that are waking up at noon.
(Speaker 1)
And so, it’s sort of a filter process. And because, Robert, I’ve been doing it for 20 years, you’re pretty much now surrounded by only high-quality, get-er-done people that love to study and do deep work. And I say deep work. What’s deep work? You once said, I’m quoting it, if I mangle it, I apologize, but there was a quote you said, professionals hire coaches, amateurs do not.
(Speaker 1)
I wrote that down. I wrote that down. I heard you say that the first time well over 15 years ago. I wrote it down. And I thought to myself, why does Michael Jordan have a coach for fitness and Kobe Bryant has a coach and why don’t I have a coach for accounting?
(Speaker 1)
So I did what you recommend. I hired a coach to help me with accounting. And I thought about, I’m going, why don’t I have a coach to help me with the legal aspects of my company? And I hired a coach to help me with my accounting. And I still use the same coaches 10 plus years later. But again, there’s one thing to hear it,
(Speaker 1)
and it flies by. There’s another to grab that idea and to apply it. And so how do you find the time to apply these things? I recommend that you wake up, you set your alarm at 4 a.m. or 5 a.m. every single day, and you get up and you spend the first three hours of your day designing your life. And so I decided this idea, I thought to myself,
(Speaker 1)
self, I would like to have a 40 acre-ish compound slash hobby farm where my wife and I and our five kids can raise our family and where we can offer the world’s best business conference experience. And so I wrote it down, I sketched it, I drew it. I actually have a picture. This is a sketch of what I’m working on
(Speaker 1)
in my backyard right now. So I sketched this stuff out. You’ve been to my backyard. So I sketch it out. And when you came to the conference, I noticed that we were a little bit short
(Speaker 1)
on places for people to go. how I want the additions to be, and next time you come back, if I can trick you into coming back, we’ll have more additions, and I’m just constantly sketching out my future, ideal in every way possible,
(Speaker 3)
and then every day I work towards it. Well, you know, Clay, it was spiritual. I mean, your people were on fire, and I don’t mean that in a bad way. They were like so turned on. And like I said, in my own company,
(Speaker 3)
I couldn’t get them to read a book. And I fired them. And I did. I said, I don’t wanna hang around people who are just gonna cruise along with life because it’s not worth it to me.
(Speaker 3)
And so that’s why I’m gonna talk to you today about what you do. I mean, pastor, what’s his last name?
(Speaker 1)
Jackson Lawmeyer. Jackson. I mean, even your pastor is on fire. Why don’t you tell his story? Because he’s got this massive church and all this.
(Speaker 3)
You guys are on fire out there.
(Speaker 1)
Well, let me give a big shout out to Pastor Jackson Lawmeyer. This is a true story. Your good friend, Donald J. Trump, America’s 47th president, selected personally Pastor Jackson Laumeyer to be one of the 15 pastors who he works with.
(Speaker 1)
So you hear about President Trump’s faith council, you look in the picture, you’re gonna see a guy under the age of 40, that’s Pastor Jackson Laumeyer. This is a guy, his church is Sheridan.Church. And I know this is not a religious broadcast,
(Speaker 1)
but Pastor Jackson is a diligent man who really does believe he’s supposed to work as unto the Lord. And President Trump saw him, he caught President Trump’s attention, and so he is one of the pastors that President Trump has personally selected to lead America’s faith leaders. So when you see President Trump had an Easter meal with the pastors, Pastor Jackson’s in that photo. Now Pastor Jackson is an entrepreneur who has read all of your books
(Speaker 1)
and he’s diligently applied the principles that you teach and he did that because he never wanted to build a church where he was dependent upon donations to be able to pursue his vocation. The word vocation means calling. Meaning he never wanted to have to get up
(Speaker 1)
in front of a platform and browbeat people for money in order for his church to be solvent. He never wanted to be one of those churches where they spend 90% of the sermon begging you for money. He wanted to be a church where he could focus on teaching the Bible, and he wanted to be self-sustaining.
(Speaker 1)
So he, as a young man, true story, he has read your books, he’s applied your books. When I told him that you were gonna come to our workshop, He lit up like a kid on Christmas morning. He was so excited. He said, Robert Kiyosaki is coming to Tulsa? And he was just so excited because you in many ways have kind of written the business Bible. And so he was on fire to see you.
(Speaker 1)
And people say, Clay, how did you meet Eric Trump? Eric Trump and I met through all this nonsense about the lockdowns and the quarantines. And I just refused to lock down and he and I got to be good friends through that process because he discovered me because I wouldn’t lock down and I wouldn’t back down and he liked that kind of energy. And we were comparing schedules and he says,
(Speaker 1)
you wake up at 4 a.m. too? And I said, yes sir. He goes, I wake up at 4 a.m. He goes, do you work six days a week? I said, I do work six days a week, he goes, awesome. And he and I became friends and now we’ve done, I think, 26 events together or 25 events together. So Robert, Eric Trump is a diligent doer as well,
(Speaker 1)
but Pastor Jackson Lawmire, I’m telling you, everyone should look him up. He is the future of ministry in America.
(Speaker 3)
Check him out at Sheridan.church, that’s his website. Yeah, and what guys are on fire. When you come back, I want you to talk about what would you say to people, how do you get that fire? For me, I started to study in Vietnam, because it kept me alive, it kept my faith going.
(Speaker 3)
You know, at nights before a battle, I’d be my aircraft carrier, you know, the rocking of the ship going like this. And I just, every, I’m not really religious, but I do believe there’s a God. And I just sat out there and went you know dear God
(Speaker 3)
tomorrow morning we fly into battle we were up at four o’clock and we’re launching by six so you know about 25 planes are taking off and I just wanted to fly with spirit. And that’s when I started to learn a lot about exactly what you’re saying, it’s action. In my casual board game back here, and that came after Maria Montessori, the Montessori school system.
(Speaker 3)
And she says, what the hand does, the mind remembers. So when you come back, I want you to talk about what does it take to get somebody’s fire going? That they wanna come back to life and learn and take part in the greatest, you know, we’re in a dangerous economy right now,
(Speaker 3)
but it’s also the biggest opportunity in the world. And so many people are getting crushed, homelessness is expanding. And so we have a lack of spirit in our country, right? So we come back on Clay Park, and I just want you to talk about getting that fire
(Speaker 3)
to learn and study and take part in life. So we’ll be right back, Clay. So thank you.
(Speaker 16)
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Rich Dad likes gold, Rich Dad likes Bitcoin, Rich Dad owns both but right now Rich Dad believes silver might be the most overlooked opportunity of them all. Here’s why. Demand for silver is exploding, used in solar panels, electric vehicles, computers, electric product, weapon systems, medicine and even water purification.
(Speaker 4)
But unlike Bitcoin or gold, silver supply is going down. And mess of all, it’s still the cheapest. Gold is breaking all-time highs. Bitcoin hitting new records. Silver is still 60% below its all-time high. Why?
(Speaker 4)
Silver is useful, and the price has been suppressed for decades to keep it affordable for industry. But Rich Dad believes that manipulation is over and Rich Dad believes silver is about to slingshot to all-time highs, possibly $70 an ounce in 2025. (Speaker 3)
Welcome back, Robert Kiyosaki, Rich Dad Radio Show. My guest today is Clay Clark and my good friend, Tom Wheelwright, and I traveled to Tulsa, Oklahoma to visit Clay as long as my other friend, Eric Trump, and his father and I are good friends, wrote this book together called Midas Touch.
(Speaker 3)
And we’re talking about the word study, because when I went out to Clay Clark’s place in Tulsa, he has a compound out there, I mean, it’s a huge estate. And he had this huge, huge auditorium that he’s built. And he had hundreds of people there at five o’clock in the morning to study
(Speaker 3)
and it was almost a worship. I looked at it and said, this is a church or what? But you guys have made learning a religion and that’s what I wanted to have you on the Rich Dad Radio Show for Clark because the people around you are impressive.
(Speaker 3)
I was so in awe, humbled, and honored. I mean, they’re such good people, but they came to you to study, and Pastor Jackson, and all you young guys out there, and then I go around, like I said, I had to let go of my company
(Speaker 3)
because they refused to study. I study every single day. It’s a religion to me. I don’t mean I study religious things, but I study every single day. It’s a religion to me. I don’t mean I study religious things, but I study every single day. I was just out in the South Pacific,
(Speaker 3)
you know, looking at the World War II sites, you know, like Iwo Jima and Palau and Okinawa, and the guy I met there was getting about your age, and this guy studies, this whole group studies, I’m multi-millionaires on that trip. So how do you get people so turned on, Clay?
(Speaker 3)
I mean, you put in mass, in mass.
(Speaker 1)
Well, let’s say this real quick. I’m gonna give people a spiritual answer, not a religious one, a spiritual answer that’ll get really specific. So what I do is the Hebrew word work means worship. So if you look up the Hebrew word, the word work means worship and worship means work.
(Speaker 1)
I happen to identify as a Christian. If you’re watching and you don’t, that’s fine. But I believe I’m supposed to work as unto the Lord and the word work means worship. Think about it, folks. In Hebrew, the word work means worship
(Speaker 1)
and worship means work. So when I’m worshiping, if Lord and not as unto human masters. So I am over delivering because I know it will cause me to eventually be overpaid. I am filling the room with confidence because I have confided in myself, I have confided in myself during this instance
(Speaker 1)
that I’m doing what God wants me to do. I know that this is the day that the Lord has made, but what I do with that day is my gift to God. Every day that I have is a gift from God and what I do with it is a gift to God. So that’s how I get myself fired up. Now as far as specifics for other people,
(Speaker 1)
I say listen, you’re at this conference, you’re watching this show, you’re interacting with me right now and time is your most important asset. Time is your most valuable asset. I don’t care how old you at Applebee’s, Target, and DirecTV simultaneously
(Speaker 1)
en route to building my empire or whatever this compound is. But everybody out there, what you wanna do is think about your life perfect in every respect. Where do you wanna be 18 months from now? Where do you wanna be 18 months from now?
(Speaker 1)
Everybody watching today’s show, write it down. Where do you wanna be 18 months from now. And then we have to go S-M-A-R-T, smart goals. We have to set specific goals. What are our specific steps we need to take daily to get up that mountain? M, measurable. They have to be measurable.
(Speaker 1)
They can’t be woo woo. They can’t be this pseudo esoteric vague cloud of, no, they have to be measurable. A, actionable. They have to be actionable. You have to take your big idea and turn it into action steps.
(Speaker 1)
Realistic, your goals have to be realistic, are realistic. And T is time sensitive. We’re only gonna live once, life is not a dress rehearsal. So when people go to thrivetimeshow.com and they click on the testimonials button and they go, you know, this guy’s been doing the same thing for 20 years.
(Speaker 1)
He’s a little more pale in person than I thought he would be. I’m surrounded by people that weren’t born yesterday that are successful, but people who are young or people who are old. And people start to go, you know what, Robert?
(Speaker 1)
If somebody can do it who’s old, if someone can do it who’s young, if someone can do it who grew up poor, if someone can do it who grew up wealthy. If these people all eliminated their excuses and they decided to transform from victims into victors, perhaps I can do it too. And I think that’s what unlocks the excitement
(Speaker 1)
is people go, you know what? I’m gonna go back to my hometown and I’m gonna diligently implement these systems and processes. And then because we’ve diligently documented these success stories for 20 years,
(Speaker 1)
you start to go and a lot of our long-time listeners will go on the site and they’ll say, Clay, you interviewed a mother of seven named Lindsay Blankenship. Her husband was working 80 hours a week. She’s a mother of seven and her and her husband
(Speaker 1)
started a company pre-COVID and now it’s a massive medical spa. Well, I don’t have any excuses. They go to belovedcheesecakes.com, they see Jennifer, a recently divorced single mom who started a cheesecake factory and then now it’s a nationwide success story.
(Speaker 1)
People start to say, you know what? I think I can do it because I’m gonna eliminate my own excuses. So Robert, long answer,
(Speaker 3)
but hopefully that was specific for you, sir. No, I love it because Clay, well, the reason I want you on my show, it’s not just the mind. You know, we have a body, mind, spirit, and we have emotions.
(Speaker 3)
And emotions, you know, when they talk about EQ, or IQ, intelligence, but emotional intelligence. And you touch the spirit, Clark. You know, Clay, you touch their spirits and their fire goes on them. And that’s what I want to know, how you do it.
(Speaker 3)
And how do people can, you know, I suggest anybody listen to this, if you live near the Tulsa or anywhere in Kansas, go visit what you’re doing. Because to see your compound, I mean, your home is a mansion
(Speaker 3)
and you open it up to everybody, and you feed everybody. I’m going, my God, your spirit is so on fire. That’s what I think is missing in life today, is that spirit. You know, I mean, you’re on fire,
(Speaker 3)
and you’ve passed it on to your, let’s hate to say it, your congregation, but your followers out there, five o’clock in the morning, they’re turned on and ready to study and learn and get back to work, you know?
(Speaker 1)
Well, you know, Robert, one thing that I do, and this is a visualization exercise, and again, I’m not getting religious, I’m telling you what I do. My father, may he rest in peace, he died of Lou Gehrig’s disease approximately five years ago, and I had to watch my father suffocate en route to death.
(Speaker 1)
It was the worst. I won’t choke up on today’s show, but I mean, just talking about it or thinking about it, it’s heavy. I’m saying that because somebody out there watching today’s show, it’s heavy.
(Speaker 1)
It’s heavy. And so, I grew up poor. And what happens is my dad’s delivering pizzas and he was working, my dad specifically, my father, may he rest in peace, was delivering pizzas for Domino’s and working the night shift at a gas station chain called Quick Trip.
(Speaker 1)
So my middle school years were spent with my father working two jobs to put food on our table, but he had a college degree, aka he had gone through the Marxist indoctrination camp known as college. And so my father was really, really doing his best
(Speaker 1)
to provide for us and I appreciate him doing that. And I wouldn’t criticize anything about my father. He did such a great job trying to provide for us. But I recognized at the age of 15, I’m going, you know what, I am not gonna live that way. And so I started a company out of my parents’ basement
(Speaker 1)
called DJConnection.com and I decided I am going to have success. And so I reached out to millionaires and people that I kind of knew through church and friendships and people that, parents of my friends, and I said, what book would you recommend that I read? I’m a 15 year old asking this question.
(Speaker 1)
True story, and I kept being told, you gotta read Rich Dad, Poor Dad, and you gotta read Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill. Now, Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich, I read that. Rich Dad, Poor Dad, I read that. But then it was up to me, am I going to apply it? And as I began diligently applying these systems
(Speaker 1)
and processes, and people kept asking me to help them grow their companies, I decided mentally, every time I talk to a potential client, I visualize and I picture my father, and I think, what would I tell my father, who at that, my father at the age of 37 was delivering pizzas and working at Quick Trips.
(Speaker 1)
Every potential client who goes to thrivetimeshow.com and they schedule a free consultation with me, it might sound weird, it might sound woo woo, but in my mind I picture my father as the person on the other end of the phone, and I think to myself, if I was talking to my father,
(Speaker 1)
or someone like my father who’s trying to raise kids and he’s working two jobs despite the degree, what does he need to hear? Maybe not what does he want to hear, but what does he need to hear? And my goal is to kick that person into another gear
(Speaker 1)
when we get off that phone call. And so that’s what I do and I think people say, man Clay, you’re filled with enthusiasm or you have that spirit. The word enthusiasm comes from the Greek word, phios means God, so enthusiasm means God within. So I believe that I am filled with the Holy Spirit or a spirit of I wanna help somebody become successful.
(Speaker 1)
And a mentor of mine back in the day, he told me this, a true story, a big mentor, a multimillionaire, I said, sir, what is your philosophy towards coaching? He said, Clay, the word charisma used to be spelled with a K. I said, come again?
(Speaker 1)
He said, the Greek word for charisma, it’s spelled with a K. It’s called charisma, K-A-R-I-S-M-A. It means to lift up, to coach up, to mentor up. That’s what charisma means. He said, however, today’s version of charisma is now spelled with a C-H, C-H-A-R-I-S-M-A, and now it means a highly motivated individual yelling at you, talking down to you,
(Speaker 1)
making you feel inadequate, unable, and so you get coached down or talked down to. He said, your job is to leave people feeling whole and not to leave people feeling full of holes. And I said, what did you just say? He said, your job is to make people feel whole and not to leave feeling full of holes.
(Speaker 1)
And so I would just say everybody watching today’s show, if anybody does come to our conferences, Robert, probably 95% of our attendees are not from Oklahoma. And I’ve always let people name their price. And people say, you let people name their price? Yeah, so I was telling people, it’s $250 or whatever price you wanna pay.
(Speaker 1)
I’ve got nothing to upsell you. But when people see that you’re actually trying to give them a hand up, not a handout, people respond and people gain that enthusiasm. And I believe that courage and enthusiasm is contagious, Robert.
(Speaker 3)
Well, I tell you what, Clay, can you tell people how they get in touch with, what you just said is important. I think it’s important people come and spend you know time to look at your work, what you have done. I mean you’re not just talking and to come and associate with your I use the word congregation but your followers because they’re on fire and we’re going into a very rough economic time,
(Speaker 3)
as you know. This, our debt’s gone out of sight, that’s why gold’s making you rich, and silver, and Bitcoin. But people need the fire. So how do people get in touch with Clay Clark, and what would they have to do to come and visit you,
(Speaker 3)
and get a sense of what you’re doing, and carry that out into the world.
(Speaker 1)
Well, first off, Eric Trump asked me the first time I did this, he goes, are you actually giving out your cell phone number? This is my cell phone number. And anybody out there with a sound mind who is a sincere person,
(Speaker 1)
you can text me to request tickets to our events. That’s 918-851-0102. This is the same cell phone number my wife texts me on the same one Eric Trump texts me on. That’s my cell phone number. 918-851-0102, or you can go to ThriveTimeShow.com, ThriveTimeShow.com, and you might say, why would you give out your cell phone number? I do it because I get to meet
(Speaker 1)
some of the most fantastic people ever. One of the world’s best selling authors texted me the other day, and I said, is this you? And he goes, is it you? We had an NBA player who’s currently playing in the playoffs text me the other day and goes, dude, I love your podcast. Is this you?
(Speaker 1)
So it’s a great way for me to connect. It sort of breaks the industrial complex and it freaks people out. But that’s my cell phone number, 918-851-0102. Or you can go to thrivetimeshow.com, ThriveTimeShow.com, and if you want to listen to my podcast, I recommend you go to Spotify and do a search for The Thrive Time Show on Spotify.
(Speaker 1)
That’s The Thrive Time Show on Spotify.
(Speaker 3)
Thrive Time Show. Thrive, not Thrive Time. So, what you have is the fire, and you’ve packaged it, you deliver it, and you turn your people on. Like I said, the hardest times of my life
(Speaker 3)
was just sitting on that aircraft carrier going, the fear is intense, flying into combat. And how do you overcome that fear, the paralysis, the sadness about it? We did a job that nobody really wanted to do. We got spit on when we came home, hit with eggs
(Speaker 3)
and called baby killers. But that actually built strength.
(Speaker 1)
One thing I wanted to share with you, and again, with the limited time we have here, and I mean this sincerely, I am in awe of, I am inspired by the men and women who’ve served our country. You know, I get to focus on problems like,
(Speaker 1)
how do I teach my kids how to become successful? Or how can I teach entrepreneurs? But none of that matters if you don’t have freedom. And so on behalf of me and all the entrepreneurs out there that have frankly been living in this great country because of the sacrifices of you,
(Speaker 1)
and anybody watching today’s show who’s ever served in the military. I just wanna say thank you so much for repeatedly putting your life in harm’s way and for doing a job that nobody else wanted to do. And then I wanna issue an apology to you on behalf of anybody that spit on you
(Speaker 1)
or said negative things about you in ignorance because you really did stand up and fight for our country. And it’s just an honor to know you, to call you friend, and thank you for the service you and anybody else watching today’s show who’s ever served in our military.
(Speaker 1)
Thank you so much, sir.
(Speaker 3)
Well, you know, thank you, Clark, really, Clay. I mean, my good friend’s name is Clark, so I call you Clark. Anyway, Clay, so thank you very much. And it’s thrivetimeshow.com. I wanted you on my program to let people know that you’re for real out there. And take the time to go visit your work,
(Speaker 3)
worship and work, but when you see your house and the people, and five o’clock in the morning, it’s just, it’s inspiring, inspirato. So congratulations, Clay, you’re doing a fantastic job. Tell your people out there, I was so impressed with them because of their fire, their spirit,
(Speaker 3)
they’re wanting to learn and to go and serve the world out there. So congratulations, Clay, for your great work out there.
(Speaker 1)
Thank you, brother, and again, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you. It was the highlight of my life having you come to Tulsa. Thank you, sir. Well, thank you. I’ll be back, man.
(Speaker 3)
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. So we come back with our final words from the Rich Dad Show. And I want to, again, thank Clay Clark. It’s thrivetimeshow.com.
(Speaker 3)
Please, if you have the time, go visit him in Tul you, Clay. Welcome back. Again, I want to thank Clay Clark, you know, and Thrive Time and if you have a chance, please go visit him, spend a week out there because the reason I like the Cash Flow flow game it requires four intelligences to win the game. Mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and I’ve had my lows I mean I’ve been so down I was I never didn’t come close to committing suicide but suicide would been a great way out because I lost everything I’ve lost everything twice and so the thing that brings you back is
(Speaker 3)
your spirit, your soul and so that’s why I want to thank you know Clay Clark for what he’s doing because he’s putting people on fire and I’ve had to fire people because they don’t want to study, they just want the money and the world’s changing way too fast today to be stupid. There’s difference being stupid and being ignorant. Ignorant is when you ignore and you say, oh well, you know, things will be the same,
(Speaker 3)
you know, I’m gonna make it. And that’s our academic system. You know, what a socialist is, is socialism works for people who don’t work. So we’re encouraging people not to work. People are going to college
(Speaker 3)
and getting deeply in financial debt and they’re coming out of school having no skills. They learn things like underwater basket weaving or something like that. Our education system has lost its soul. So that’s why I speak,
(Speaker 3)
that’s why the Rich Dad Radio Show and that’s why I was so thrilled to go to Tulsa, Oklahoma to visit Clay Clark with Eric Trump, who is a fabulous, fabulous young man. His brother, Don Jr. and I are really good friends,
(Speaker 3)
and his father’s doing a fabulous job with Elon Musk, and we’re fighting for the soul of our country right now, because if we don’t, the Marxists take over. The Marxists are an academic system. They believe in giving people money for free, defund the police, making sex changes,
(Speaker 3)
and that they shut down USAID, and USAID, which is a government agency, was sending money to Hamas and Hezbollah. Now hey, what has happened to this country? So let’s fight back. I’m not favoring America, but I’m favoring
(Speaker 3)
let’s have peace and prosperity throughout the world. And it’s gonna take all of us having strong minds, bodies, and spirits. Thank you very much for of Rich Dad Media Network. Clay, my honor, my honor to be on your show and thank you for all you do. I hear the ripple effects from you are good ripple effects. You know, I mean, people rave about what they
(Speaker 3)
learn from you. So congratulations. Sean, guess what’s happening June 5th and 6th right here in Tulsa, Russia. We are probably going to have an amazing business conference
(Speaker 12)
here at Tulsa, Russia.
(Speaker 1)
Yes, we are joined by Tim Tebow. Tim Tebow is going to be joining us right here at the Thrive Time Show World Headquarters June 5th and 6th. He’s a very successful football player obviously a Heisman Award winner but he’s also a very successful entrepreneur now when you work with real clients Sean real clients you really work with help them grow their companies do you ever hear a business owner tell you that they didn’t have time to get
(Speaker 1)
something done every day how often is is not having enough time a problem for business owners all the time it’s almost It’s like maybe 90% of the issues as people are trying to grow their company. Well, Tim Tebow is going to come join us here at the in-person Thrive Time Show two-day interactive business workshop. And he’s going to teach us time management
(Speaker 1)
and his approach to personal self-discipline and getting things done. Also at the workshop, I’ll put up on the website so people can see it here. Also at the two-day interactive workshop, Sean, we are going to be, oh, there it is. We’re gonna be teaching accounting, systems creation,
(Speaker 1)
marketing, human resources, how to hire, inspire, train and retain great people, accounting, social media advertising, search engine optimization. Sean, what’s the area where most clients ask you for help the most? Is it generating leads?
(Speaker 1)
Is it hiring people? What’s the biggest issue that most business owners have by default before they come to one of our workshops?
(Speaker 12)
Well, I think it’s management because time is the most valuable resource for these business owners and being able to manage their time is the first thing. Once they get that under control, then generally the numbers, you know, being able to track their business and be able to make the best decisions based on numbers rather than emotions is a big area. And we teach all of this stuff at the business conference, particularly you, Clay, you love to hammer on time management. It’s my favorite
(Speaker 12)
part of the conference.
(Speaker 1)
Now, I’m going to pull this up real quick here, because we’re going to go through it. If you’re not excited, I want to get you excited about what we’re going to cover at the workshop here.
(Speaker 24)
OK.
(Speaker 23)
All right.
(Speaker 1)
The two-day interactive workshop. This is my 20th year hosting workshops. So I’m telling you folks, we’re in rare form here. So one is the idea of establishing your revenue goals. Would you agree, or am I off my rocker? No, that’s totally a very important point we do with every one of our new clients that come on board,
(Speaker 1)
is we have to establish the revenue goals. And generally speaking, we have a vague idea, but not an exact idea that can be engineered down into the daily goals for sales.
(Speaker 12)
And so that’s a really big one.
(Speaker 1)
Now, next is the break-even numbers. What kind of sales do you have to do to even break even? Third is how many hours per week do you want to work? What is your ideal schedule as an entrepreneur? Box number four, how do you stand out in the clutter of commerce? What makes your company unique
(Speaker 1)
from all the different businesses? In a world of brown cows, herds of brown cows, proverbial brown cows, theds of brown cows, proverbial brown cows, the analogy of brown cows. How can you be the purple cow that stands out? How can you be the squeaky wheel that gets the oil? Box number five, branding.
(Speaker 1)
How do you improve the perception that people have of you, your business, your brand? Box number six, marketing, your three-legged marketing stool. What is a turnkey way for you and your company to generate leads so you can succeed. Because if you don’t have any leads,
(Speaker 1)
your business will bleed. If you can’t sell, your business will go to hell. You’ve got to generate leads. Sean, how often do business owners by default tell you they have a hard time generating leads? It’s almost all of the time.
(Speaker 1)
It’s really a huge struggle. And many times, they may be creating leads, but just through word of mouth. So they get to a point where we’ve implemented systems, and then they need to create more leads, but they’ve never had to do it. So there’s a lot of different scenarios where business owners are like, how do you create
(Speaker 1)
leads, something we hammer on at the conference a lot. Box number seven, box number seven, create a sales conversion system again, box number seven, create a sales conversion system. Sales scripts, recorded calls, one sheets, pre-written emails, lead trackers, all of the sales tools, the sales print pieces, the one sheets, the big screens that you see inside the business. Whether you’re a doctor, you’re a dentist, you’re a lawyer, you got to have sales systems in place. We help you with that. Box number eight,
(Speaker 1)
what does it cost you to get another customer. Box number eight, what does it cost you to get another customer? Step number eight, what does it cost you to actually acquire a customer? Step number nine, it’s hard to build organization if you’re not organized. We’re gonna teach you how to create repeatable systems,
(Speaker 1)
processes, file organization. Box number 10, we’re gonna teach you how to manage people, real people on the planet Earth. This just in, we’re going to teach you how to manage real people on the planet Earth. Box number 11, how to create a sustainable schedule that works for you and your family. Step number 12, how to create human resources systems for recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining great people.
(Speaker 1)
Box number 13, accounting. This just in, we have to cover accounting. It’s not how much you make, it’s how much you keep. We’re going to cover all the accounting things you need to know. And step 14, finally, what is the point of even achieving success? We’re going to go over what is the point of even achieving success, how to design a life that you’re excited about, how to design a life where you carve out enough time for your
(Speaker 1)
faith, your family, your finance, your fitness, your friendship, your fun, and where you’re going to spend your focused time. We’re going to go through that, all this and more. Now, the workshop, Sean, it’s June 5th and 6th. It’s a two-day interactive workshop.
(Speaker 22)
Yes.
(Speaker 1)
And tickets, we always do it. It’s $250 or whatever price that someone can afford. Sean, why do we let people name their price? Why do we have scholarship tickets available if somebody can’t afford the $250 general admission ticket? Well, we don’t want anybody to miss out on it. You could be at a startup phase or you could be way along in your business,
(Speaker 1)
but we want to make it accessible for everybody. I think it actually goes back to a story of your dad. It goes all the way back to how you’ve always done this as a business coach, trying to make sure that your average people out there have access to the things that work. Now 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sean, why do we go from 7 to 5 both days? I mean, it’s 10 hours a day, 20 hours of training over two days. Why do we do 10 hours a day, Sean, of back-to-back workshops?
(Speaker 1)
We do a 30-minute teaching session, we do a 15-minute question and answer session, and then we take a break. 30 minutes of teaching, 15 minutes of question and answer, then we take a break. Why do we do that format, Sean? Sean. That format is so that we can keep people engaged and not just sitting there listening,
(Speaker 1)
but also getting involved. We really encourage people to ask questions and that’s really where the juiciness of the conference comes out is you can put your personal situation and your questions on the board and Clay will tee off and give you direct advice. Even without being in our coaching program, you can get direct coaching from Clay. It’s really a very engaging format.
(Speaker 12)
I enjoyed a lot.
(Speaker 1)
Sean, final 60 seconds pop quiz here. Uh, what date is the conference? June 5th and 6th, 2025.
(Speaker 21)
This year.
(Speaker 1)
Question number two, who’s our keynote speaker coming to the conference there? Sean, Tim Tebow is our keynote speaker. Sean, question number three, how much does it cost to come to our in-person, two-day interactive business workshop right here in Tulsa, Oklahoma? I think it’s, did you say it’s $250 or whatever you can afford? That’s right, $250 or whatever you can afford. Sean, how do you spell Eric Trump backwards?
(Speaker 12)
P-U-R-T-C-I-R-E. Ooh, that took a long time.
(Speaker 1)
I’ll have to listen to this.
(Speaker 20)
Maybe they’re right.
(Speaker 1)
All right, again, that’s Sean Lohman. I’m Clay Clark, and inviting you to come join us at the in-person Thrive Time Show two-day interactive workshop June 5th and 6th right here in Tulsa, Russia, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sean, I really am excited to see you at the event. June 5th and 6th right here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tim Tebow, baby.
(Speaker 1)
It’s Tebow time in Tulsa, Russia.
(Speaker 19)
You could be anywhere doing a lot of different things,
(Speaker 1)
but you chose to be here.
(Speaker 18)
Clay Clark is here somewhere.
(Speaker 15)
Where’s my buddy Clay? Yes, Clay Clark!
(Speaker 17)
Welcome.
(Speaker 16)
Yay!
(Speaker 15)
Clay’s the greatest. I met his goats today. I met his dogs. I met his chickens. I saw his compound. He’s like the greatest guy I ran from his goats his chickens his dogs
(Speaker 11)
So this guy’s like the greatest marketer you’ve ever seen right his entire life clay Clark his entire life is is marketing Hey guys, Luke Erickson here with the Thrive Time Show. As you can see behind me, we’ve got all kinds of energy going on. People are starting to show up for the conference and it is hot in this place. We’ve got grill coming over here, we’ve got people playing the drums, we’ve got a fire breather and man, people are so excited as they come in. Woo! Woo! Woo!
(Speaker 16)
Woo! Woo! Woo!
(Speaker 11)
Woo! and implement and do the provenance. So exciting. I want people are going crazy. It’s Luke Erickson with the Thrive Time Show here with you. It is day two and the energy is high. People are so excited to be showing up. The team is ready. Come on, let’s see what it’s like to go on in for day two. Follow me.
(Speaker 11)
I’ll tell you what, people are so excited to be here for day two. It is going to be incredible. Cannot wait to see what today has in store. Right now, here at the conference, we’ve broken into groups going over search engine optimization. I know for most of us, myself included, if you hear that term, you go, what is that? What does that mean?
(Speaker 11)
That’s too techy for me. Well, our experts are breaking it down for people so that you can clearly understand how to come up top in Google. It’s doable, it’s possible. Now we’re in the middle of a break,
(Speaker 11)
and what we like to do is we like to give you as much tangible and relevant information from about the start of the hour for 45 minutes. Then we take approximately a 15 minute break to allow people to connect with other entrepreneurs around them. Bathroom break and also use this time to just really digest all of the good information that you’re receiving the whole time. Right behind me we’ve got Bob with his grill gun melting an ice sculpture. It is
(Speaker 11)
awesome. The ice sculpture represents our life, right? It’s here for a time but we all need to have the sense of urgency to implement the things that we’re learning so that we can make the most of the time that we have.
(Speaker 6)
I heard about it on the podcast. Started listening to the podcast, became a fan, and then figured out about the workshop. I own an insurance and financial services agency, and I was hoping to learn from the workshop systems and processes. I’m big on systems and processes,
(Speaker 6)
and always learning better ways to run a business more efficiently. The atmosphere is second to none. It’s a high energy, really cool atmosphere to be around, contagious I would say. Just something every entrepreneur I think would appreciate and love.
(Speaker 6)
I’d say humorous, high energy, and full of substance, which I think is the key. A lot of business coaches or seminars maybe are high on motivation and making you feel good, but don’t have a lot of substance that you could take back and implement the following Monday,
(Speaker 6)
where his does. Man, there’s a lot of valuable things. I’m going to say, like, I came to this is my second workshop. The first workshop I took back really the importance of a group interview. I used to spend hours and hours interviewing people screening resumes and that saving my time on that part is valuable. It was that and then the sales scripting that have been two major things just so far.
(Speaker 6)
Man, I think they’re missing out on expert advice from somebody who’s been there, done that, built companies, has learned a lot of lessons. That’s what I’m always looking for, is somebody that I can learn from, that’s ahead of where I am.
(Speaker 6)
And I think if you choose not to come, you’re missing out on a lot of good advice that could help your business.
(Speaker 2)
Hi, I’m Aaron Antus with Shaw Homes. I first heard about Clay through a mortgage lender here in town who had told me what a great job he had been doing for them. And I actually noticed he was driving a Lamborghini all of a sudden so I was
(Speaker 2)
willing to listen. In my career I’ve sold a little over 800 million dollars in real estate. So honestly I thought I kind of knew everything about marketing and homes and then I met Clay and my perception of what I knew and what I could do definitely changed after doing 800 million in sales over a 15 year career. I really thought I knew what I was doing. I’ve been managing a large team of salespeople for the last 10 years here with Shaw Homes. And I mean we’ve been a company that’s been in business for 35 years. We’ve become one of the largest builders in the Tulsa
(Speaker 2)
area and that was without Clay. So when I came to know Clay I really thought man there’s not much more I need to know but I’m willing to listen. The interesting thing is our internet leads from our website has actually in a four-month period of time has gone from somewhere around 10 to 15 leads in a month to a hundred and eighty internet leads in a month. Just from the few things that he’s shown us how to implement that I honestly probably never
(Speaker 2)
would have come up with on my own. So I got a lot of good things to say about the system that Clay put in place with us, and it’s just been an incredible experience. I am very glad that we met and had the opportunity to work with Clay. So the interaction with the team and with Clay on a weekly basis is honestly very enlightening.
(Speaker 2)
One of the things that I love about Clay’s perspective on things is that he doesn’t come from my industry. He’s not somebody who’s in the home building industry. I’ve listened to all the experts in my field. Our company has paid for me to go to seminars, international builder shows, all kinds of places where I’ve had the opportunity to learn
(Speaker 2)
from the experts in my industry. But the thing that I found working with Clay is that he comes from such a broad spectrum of working with so many different types of businesses that he has a perspective that’s difficult for me to gain because I get so entrenched in what I do,
(Speaker 2)
I’m not paying attention to what other leading industry experts are doing. And Clay really brings that perspective for me. It is a very valuable time every week when I get that hour with him. From my perspective, the reason that any business owner who’s thinking about hooking up with thrive needs to definitely consider it is because the results that we’ve gotten in a very short
(Speaker 2)
period of time are honestly monumental. It has really exceeded my wildest expectation of what he might be able to do. I came in skeptical because I’m very pragmatic and as I’ve gone through the process over just a few months, I’ve realized it’s probably one of the best moves
(Speaker 2)
we’ve ever made. I think a lot of people probably feel like they don’t need a business or marketing consultant because they maybe are a little bit prideful and like to think they know everything. I know that’s how I felt coming in.
(Speaker 2)
I mean, we’re a big company that’s definitely one of the largest in town. And so we kind of felt like we knew what we were doing. And I think for a lot of people, they let their ego get in the way of listening to somebody that might have a better or different perspective than theirs. I would just really encourage you, if you’re thinking about working with Clay, I mean, the thing is it’s month to month.
(Speaker 2)
Go give it a try and see what happens. I think in the 35 year history of Shaw Homes, this is probably the best thing that’s happened to us. And I know if you give them a shot, I think you’ll feel the same way. I know for me, the thing I would have missed out on if I didn’t work with Clay is I would have missed out on literally an 1800% increase in our internet leads. Going from 10 a month to 180 a month, that would have been a huge financial decision to just decide
(Speaker 2)
not to give it a shot. I would absolutely recommend Clay Clark to anybody who’s thinking about working with somebody in marketing. I would skip over anybody else you were thinking about and I would go straight to Clay and his team. I guarantee you’re not going to regret it because we sure haven’t.
(Speaker 8)
My name is Danielle Sprake and I am the founder of the Sprake Realty Group here in Tulsa Oklahoma. After being a stay at home mom for 12 years and my three kids started school and they were in school full time. I was at a crossroads and trying to decide what do I want to do. My degree and my background is in education, but after being a mom and staying home and all of that, I just didn’t have a passion for it like I once did. My husband suggested real estate. He’s a home builder, so real estate and home building go hand in hand. And we just rolled
(Speaker 8)
with it. I love people. I love working with people. I love that building relationships. But one thing that was really difficult for me was the business side of things. The processes and the advertising and marketing, I knew that I did not have what I needed to make that what it should be. So I reached out to Clay at that time,
(Speaker 8)
and he and his team have been extremely instrumental in helping us build our brand, help market our business, our agents, the homes that we represent. Everything that we do is a direct line from Clay and his team and all that they’ve done for us. We launched our brokerage, our real estate brokerage, eight months ago. And in that time, we’ve gone from myself and one other agent to just this week we signed on our 16th agent. We have been blessed with the fact that we right now have just over 10 million in pending transactions. Three years ago I never would have even imagined that I would be in this
(Speaker 8)
role that I’m in today building a business having 16 agents. But I have to give credit where credit’s due. And Clay and his team and the business coaching that they’ve offered us has been huge. It’s been instrumental in what we’re doing. Don’t ever limit your vision. When you dream big big things happen. I started a business because I couldn’t work for anyone else. I
(Speaker 10)
do things my way. I do what I think is in the best interest of the patient. I don’t answer insurance companies. I don’t answer to large corporate organizations. I answer to my patient and that’s it. My thought when I opened my clinic was I can do this all myself. I don’t need additional outside help in many ways. I mean I went to medical school, I can figure this out. But it was a very, very steep learning curve. Within the first six months of
(Speaker 10)
opening my clinic, I had a $63,000 embezzlement. I lost multiple employees. Clay helped us weather the storm of some of the things that are just a lot of people experience, especially in the medical world. He was instrumental in helped us weather the storm of some of the things that are just a lot of people experience, especially in the medical world. He was instrumental in helping with the specific written business plan. He’s been instrumental in hiring good quality employees, using the processes that he outlines for getting in good
(Speaker 10)
talent, which is extremely difficult. He helped me in securing the business loans. He helped me with web development and search engine optimization. We’ve been able to really keep a steady stream of clients coming in because they found us on the web. With everything that I encountered, everything that I experienced, I quickly learned it is worth every penny to have someone in your team that can walk you through and even avoid some of the pitfalls
(Speaker 10)
that are almost invariable in starting your own business. I’m Dr. Chad Edwards and I own Revolution Health and Wellness Clinic.
(Speaker 3)
Clay, my honor, my honor to be on your show. And thank you for all you do.
(Speaker 1)
I hear the ripple effects from you are good ripple effects.
(Speaker 3)
You know what I mean? People rave about what they learn from you. So congratulations.
(Speaker 9)
And we went from expecting maybe $250,000 this year to we’re at $400,000. Hi, I’m Kelsey with K&D’s Wooder Finishing. I’m a business owner at 23. So I’ve been working this K&E’s company for about five years now and we started working with Thrive not too long ago.
(Speaker 9)
And we went from expecting maybe $250,000 this year to we’re at $400,000. That’s what we’re going to hit or exceed. So we’re pretty excited about that. It’s been pretty much just listening to what they have to say. Their hiring process has just really been incredible as far as finding good quality help and just the accountability of meeting up with them weekly and such good insight, the resources that they have for
(Speaker 9)
specific business questions. It’s all been really incredible. It’s been a great experience, so I would recommend it to anybody.
(Speaker 13)
What I’ve seen from Clay and his group at Thrive is they’ll give you a simple system. And it’s the simple systems are the ones that people can wrap their brain around. They’re the ones that people can work with on a day-to-day basis.
(Speaker 7)
Hi there, my name is Stephanie Pipkin. I am 24 years old and I own Black River Falls Cleaning Services. We opened in April of 2019 and it is now mid-June of 2020. So I wanted to talk today about the success and growth I have achieved by implementing the Proven Path with Clay Clark’s team and my business coach Luke from Thrive Time. It has been insane to say the least. I started working with them in mid-February of this year,
(Speaker 7)
so we’re about four months in of working together and it has completely transformed my business in pretty much every facet. So I’m gonna check my notes here. So in four months my leads have tripled. I was getting probably like two leads a week now I’m getting more in the like 10 to 15 leads a week. I have doubled my number of employees. I’m now hitting the highest revenue weeks in the history of the company week to week it seems like.
(Speaker 7)
We went from about six appointments a day as our highest in February to now 14 to 15 appointments a day. And hiring quality employees has become much simpler and less stressful by using their systems for hiring. I typically only get maybe two complaints a month, if that, and everybody shows up to work.
(Speaker 7)
I just have really high quality employees now, especially in something people typically consider a high turnover type of work, cleaning houses, cleaning businesses. I have amazing employees now, and I get rid of the ones who are not so amazing
(Speaker 7)
and bring on new ones because of you know group interviews and higher interviewing every single week, it’s just been great and such a Let I don’t waste as much time on Low quality candidates anymore and your coach will hold you accountable. I mean which I love again the tough Love is really great You know looks like a stern father figure
(Speaker 7)
But he’s also nice But also stern when he needs to be when I’m being lazy and not doing the things that I know I need to do because I don’t want to do them. So that’s just great. Worth every penny. I mean, I’d pay him a million dollars a month if I can, and maybe someday I’ll be able to, but I would just say go for it. If it seems like a good fit, just go for it. Do what they say, even if you think it’s stupid or ridiculous, just do what they say because it’ll work.
(Speaker 7)
You know, people, when they look at my business, you know, people in my town, they think I’m lucky. They think I’m just, you know, things just happen for me. And you know, maybe I am lucky, but it has, which if you’re a business owner, you understand that. But it’s having these systems in place of of course I’m going to be successful. It’s an absolute.
(Speaker 7)
Because I have all this stuff in the background happening. And I have Luke and Clay and everybody on their team working really hard to make sure that I’m a success and I can tell that they are Just so excited every single week when I’m having all these wins and things like that. They’re so excited for me So it just it’s the best thing ever and I would suggest to anybody to work with them So sorry for the long-winded reply
(Speaker 7)
But I just had so much to say and I could go on for hours probably about how amazing they are But thank you to clay and Luke and the entire team there everything you guys have done for me And I am so excited to continue to work with you For years to come. Thanks so much for watching
(Speaker 3)
My saying is if it’s important to you hire a coach and I think that’s one of the reasons people are not successful is they You know, they eat a cheeseburger instead of hiring a coach, you know, I mean, and so my coach pushes me they’re younger than me, they push harder, they’re, they’re trained. And as my rich dad always said, you know, amateurs don’t have a coach, but professionals always have coaches.
(Speaker 3)
So I’ve always had coaches for whatever was important. My Rich Dad was one of those persons. You’re on it, man. You’re on it. You’re on it. Everybody, listen to this guy.
(Speaker 3)
He knows what he’s talking about. You have the macro, macro picture. Very few people have that point of view. Very few people have that point of view. Clay, you’re an entrepreneur. few people have that point of view.
