One of them has authored more books than most people have read like post high school or college, mostly focusing on the business world, how to build a successful business and everything in between. And the other one has become a friend of ours in this process and my favorite in -person interview because he’s the kind of guy that like you’d want to go hunting with, you’d want to go have a cup of coffee with or a beer with, you want to hang out with, and you kind of forget when you’re with him that he’s one of the most successful doers on the entire planet. He’s the executive vice president of the Trump Organization, has been at the inside circle of some of the craziest days in American history over the last 10 or 12 years. Mr. Clay Clark and Eric Trump.

It’s great to see you. I’m excited about this book. We’ve been, you know, having conversations with Clay. I’ve been leaning on him, you know, a long time.

Can we get stuff? He’s like, no, this thing is under lock and key. It goes, this thing is gonna, but it’s a book that America is dying to read because you’ve kind of seen what’s going on on the outside. Your wife on her Instagram made the comment. She says, you know, Eric took meticulous notes over these last several years and she even kind of said, you know, hey, he encouraged me to do the same. I kind of started then, you know, life got the way I forgot.

But he took meticulous notes on this process. And in a world where the news cycle changes so fast, like we forget about, you know, something that happened a week ago.

And this whole idea of being under siege is really what you guys have been through.

Yeah, that’s right. And David Stacey, I was really proud. This is my first book. I put my heart and soul into it. It went to number one almost instantly on Amazon. And you know, the New York Times is going to do everything they can to keep a Trump off the New York Times bestseller list.

But I mean, it’s also a book that they just don’t want Americans to read because it’s just so kind of truthful and, you know, honest as to the corruption in this country. And but, yeah, it’s also an inspirational story, right? It’s the kind of highs and lows of life. And we’ve seen so many of them. And I think You know, it goes kind of very deep into obviously, you know, Butler, Pennsylvania, and almost losing my father on that stage, all the corruption and all the courthouses, the 91 felony indictments, them debanking us, them deplatforming us, silencing us, ripping us off of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, you know, removing my father from the ballots in Maine and Colorado, the impeachments. the Russia hoax, the Russia scandal, which was totally fabricated and they knew it was fabricated, spying on the campaigns, the dirty dossiers, obviously all the AGs and DAs all across the country who came after us in ways that you can’t even think.

Clay knows this, we’ve talked about it many times, but I became the most subpoenaed man in American history You know, and I’m a guy that says, you know, three prayers for my kids every night before they go to bed and, you know, no bad habits, no laptops from hell, no finger painting and selling it to Chinese nationals.

Yeah, it’s true. And so, you know, there’s like, you know, there’s like three or four stories kind of, you know, woven through this. One is a very inspirational story. It’s growing up in kind of a over the top family with amazing parents and how we turned out to be sane and normal and hardworking and high functioning. You know, it’s kind of getting into politics and why we did that against, you know, any conventional wisdom. Believe me, it hasn’t helped us in virtually any way.

But we want to save our nation. We want to save God. We want to save faith, faith in this country, God in this country. You know, the nuclear family in this country, something that, you know, David, you, you, you, me and Stacey have spoken about so many times. And obviously, Clay lives every day. We want to save the Constitution.

We want to save our flag. And, you know, you know, under the DEI of Biden, it was so unbelievably under attack. And then it’s a perseverance through a corrupt and weaponized system that wanted to destroy my father, our family, and the greatest political movement, and the fact that they didn’t win. The fact that all of us, all of us, all your listeners, everybody listening to us right now, We won, we won and we won in spectacular fashion. And I’m incredibly proud of the book. It’s, again, it’s done tremendously well.

And I think it’s gonna rattle a lot of people in a couple days when it hits the bookshelves.

Oh, we’re so excited about it. In fact, it’s coming out on August the 14th, which is a very special day because that’s also Charlie Kirk’s birthday. So talk about that and what you’re doing with Turning Point, because that is incredible.

Well, I spoke to Erica last night and she’s an absolute sweetheart. I mean, she’s one of the strongest people I’ve ever, I’ve ever seen. I mean, she’s, she’s unbelievable. Um, this book came out exactly three days before Charlie’s assassination, meaning I announced that it was coming out three days before Charlie’s assassination. And, and, um, I just called up. I mean, the whole point of putting us under siege is they wanted us off of that stage guys.

They, they didn’t want Charlie out there. They didn’t want me out there. They sure as hell didn’t want clay out there. They didn’t want you guys out there. They didn’t want Christians. They didn’t want, you know, great pastors and ministers all over the country.

They didn’t want them behind the pulpit. They don’t want any of us out there. And they wanted to put us under siege. And that was the exact intent. They wanted bankrupt people. They wanted to de -platform people.

In terms of the church in this country, they were going after their nonprofit status left and right. My father put an end to that. I mean, you had Barack Obama that weaponized the IRS to literally go after churches in this country. You know, I mean, it’s really unbelievable. They put us under siege and and we can never get off that stage. And that’s why I wanted to make a contribution to turning point.

I want to make sure and I you know, I was talking to Erica about last night, their voice can never be diminished. Our voice can never be diminished. Because honestly, we don’t have our voice. The media is never going to give us any credit. The media is always gonna be as horrible as they have been for the last decade. I mean, our family got 98 % of the stories written about my father over the last decade by the mainstream media were negative, despite how many absolutely incredible things that he’s done for this nation, our country, and everything else.

I think there’s a relatability. Most people watching this show, if they tune into our show on a nightly basis, probably on some level, they’ve had a Facebook post blocked. or they’ve gone under something. So it’s like a small scale of what you guys have done. I think that’s the relatability. They see you guys championing and be the tip of the spear of what they’ve experienced as well.

And it’s like we’re in the same boat when they’re persecuting the guy that hugs and kisses the flag, when they’re persecuting the guy that holds up a Bible, when they’re persecuting the family that gets up in the morning. You’re like this hybrid of David Goggins, Tony Robbins, and Lee Iacocca. Kind of blurred into one person.

You know what the interesting thing, David, is?

until i started screaming from the rooftops and my father did as well you know i was debanked by capital ones 300 bank accounts in the middle of the night i was debanked by chase right you know i can’t tell you how many bank accounts that were stripped away from the company for doing absolutely nothing. And I came out very honestly and I started talking about it was all about them putting us under siege the weaponization of government you know toward the business toward the family violence. You know I mean they wanted us all locked away and they wanted the key thrown away. But it wasn’t until I started telling a lot of those stories that people go. Well, I was debanked as well. My business was debanked as well.

My church was debanked as well. People were so embarrassed. It was almost shameful. And then all of a sudden, people start coming out and actively talking about it. They were embarrassed to do it when they thought it was just them. And now you look at millions of people across the country who were silenced, whose dials were turned down.

I would venture to say just about every person listening to your show right now What was was, you know, certainly had First Amendment violations against them. I mean, they would post an article that Stacey wrote or maybe you wrote or Clark wrote. And guess what? They just noticed that the engagement wasn’t quite the same as the last post that they had put up. You know, that didn’t have religious undertones to it or something along those lines. They did it to all of us, and we all noticed it, right?

And for our family, they wanted us to not exist. They wanted us bankrupt. They wanted us gone. They wanted to cut the head off the snake, you know, of the greatest political movement ever, right? That was their intention, you know, to take the head off. And what they actually did was they actually made that snake much stronger.

They made it much more powerful. They made the movement, you know, almost unstoppable because people realized exactly what they were doing.

There’s three big reasons why Flyover Family would need to get behind this book. But I wanted to share something with you that related to your monologue, your intro there, Dave. The first time that I thought I would never speak to Eric, there’s been a few of those moments. The first time I thought he’ll probably never talk to me again. There’s been a few of those. But one is I said, we were in Ohio. You guys were there.

It was snowing. And I told Vanessa, I said, Vanessa, before Eric gets up to speak, I’m going to show the Kim Clement prophecy videos. This is 2007, Kim Clement saying Trump is going to become a trumpet, Kim Clement saying that Trump will be a president for two terms, that his favorite, he said, remember the name, gold, and just all of that. I mean, there’s a lot of prophetic. I said, I’m going to share that video, the video that says there’s going to be a man by the name of Clark. I’m going to share that thing right before he speaks.

My wife goes, you’re going to do it because Vanessa couldn’t go to that one and I’m like oh yeah Vanessa went to every event except for two but she says okay and she says how’s it gonna go I said I don’t know he’s a reasonable guy I mean he’s the kind of guy we’d want to go have a beer with hang out yeah It could be a thing where he gets up and says, that guy’s weird. And then we’re done. And so I’m showing the video and Eric’s watching it. And I’m looking back and forth like, Oh God, I hope that you are connecting here. I hope something’s happening. And to my surprise, and it’s not that I bet it against Eric, but Eric watched that video and, and,

And then it was everything that I hoped that Eric would be to Donate Clement, treated her first class, treated her with respect. Backstage, he treated everybody just like they were normal, because he is normal. And I think Eric Trump represents Main Street America, the flyover conservative audience.

And so I just wanted to see if you could share, if you could, what was your reaction to seeing these Kim Clement prophetic videos about your dad for the first time during that snowy day in Ohio? Well, you know, I didn’t know Clay as well at that point. So I’m like, OK, this could be this could be interesting or it could be, you know, I’m open to anything. You know, first of all, when he goes out, you know, talks about this man named Trump, you know, who who would come down and he’d come down the stair. There’s a reference to effectively, you know, the the golden escalator, which started my father’s campaign. And he was going to be a triumph.

And they wouldn’t they wouldn’t like him. The forces to be wouldn’t like him. But the American people or the people, you know, would would embrace him. And and he would end up becoming the loudest voice. And he would upset a lot of people. And they would go after him.

(Speaker 1)
They would go after his family. unbelievably. And, and, you know, this man’s favorite color was gold. When they got to gold, I go, like, listen, I you could probably pull 200 people. And I don’t think a single one of them would say that their favorite color is gold, right? Red, sure.

Blue, sure. Green, sure. But gold is pretty unique to Donald Trump, I think, everybody. And so he’s going to be the loudest trumpet. His name will be Donald. I mean, he goes, yep.

And I’m sitting there saying, and by the way, you go back to when this was written, and it was unbelievable. I showed it to my father, actually, with clay, and he couldn’t believe it. I mean, we were all blown away. But taking this a step further for a second, I talk to Clay about this all the time, but there’s no question that God played an absolutely insurmountable… obviously just in our lives and our daily life, but just in this journey that we’ve been on. And I spent a lot of time in undersea talking about that.

I mean, you know, God comes through in almost every chapter in some way, shape or form, but I mean, your lowest times, there’d be a beacon of light that would just shine the next day. I mean, walking out of those courtrooms, you know, a $600 million cash, judgments for doing absolutely nothing wrong, and then something would, you know, all of a sudden, I mean, obviously, Butler, Pennsylvania, I mean, him turning his head at that last second, totally off a script, looking up at a screen that’s never in that location, the bullet just whizzing by his head, you know, the the flag of the, you know, the American flag folding up exactly like an angel, you know, right, right after the shooting right above my father’s head. And that could go on and on. There was one of the Secret Service agents on the, on the on the stage that day, a year before, wrote a prayer. It’s called a protector’s prayer. And he ran onto the stage to shield my father from bullets.

And in the protector’s prayer that he wrote years before, obviously, the Butler incident, he talks about the safety of the man to his left and the woman to his right. And guess what? In that famous picture, the fight, fight, fight picture, there was a man directly to his left and a woman to his right. Corey, the firefighter who lost his life that day, was telling his wife, who’s amazing, his family is amazing, Donald Trump is gonna call me up on stage today. And she goes, what are you talking about? You’ve never met Donald Trump.

I mean, there’s gonna be like 50 ,000 people there. What do you mean he’s gonna call you up on stage? I’m telling you, I can feel it in my soul. I feel it, I’m being told he’s gonna call me up on stage that day. And sure enough, at the RNC, obviously, Corey’s uniform was right there behind my father, fully lit. And right there, you have the picture.

And you better believe that Corey was called up on the biggest stage in the world by Donald Trump. believe that overcame a five -to -one fundraising deficit against Hillary Clinton, and we didn’t know a damn thing about politics. We knew nothing about politics. We hardly knew what a delegate was. She raised $1 .5 billion. We effectively self -funded our campaign.

There has been somebody guiding my father that entire time. Mike Huckabee said it the best. He came off the stage one day at one of the debates, and we were backstage. And he goes, Eric, I feel God’s hand is on your shoulder, and I really believe he’s going to win the presidency. And by the way, this was early in the primaries in 2016 when You wouldn’t have thought that anybody had a chance, right? I mean, it was a very different Republican Party.

You didn’t have an RNC that was effective, right? I mean, you were fighting against all odds. It was David versus Goliath. And I felt God guide my father this entire time. I felt God keep him safe in the darkest moments when we could have been down and out because of political lawfare, the 91 indictments, trying to bankrupt us, trying to take everything away. Something wonderful would happen every single time.

It defies statistics. It defies odds. And that’s because I really believe he was there for a purpose. And you know what the interesting thing is, I’ll kind of end with this. Now all of a sudden you see a nation that has returned to God, a nation under God. In light of the horrific shooting of Charlie, now all of a sudden you see every church in this nation that’s full to the brim.

And it’s really amazing how the Lord works, how God works. And I spent a lot of time in under siege talking about about his influence and exactly that.

We’re so excited to read your book, by the way. I cannot wait for it to come out. I cannot wait to get my hands on that book.

It feels great. The moment your dad came down, I’d watched Apprentice and different things. I always wanted our country to be led by a doer. I mean, when Ross Perot ran, I thought that’d be interesting to have somebody leading our country that knows how to read a spreadsheet that’s done something in his life. Even the way Clay, his marketing budget, he’s like, hey, I’m not going to waste money.

I’m going to write it here on this piece of paper. That’s phenomenal. I’ll give you a stat real quick. The Bulls built Jordan United Center for a budget of less than $200 million. The Obama library, which looks, it’s an eyesore, even if it was completed, but it’s not because it’s hard for a community organizer that leads everything with DEI to actually finish something, started with a $300 million budget. They’re now over a billion.

for the ugliest thing that probably eventually should probably just be an ICE detention center in Chicago or something. I don’t know what, if they’ll ever finish it. But I keep hearing these numbers of some of the lawsuits. Your dad’s one is going to be going towards his library. The state of Florida’s kind of gotten behind it. DeSantis is behind it.

The American people want to celebrate the success of your father. And you got this building coming out in Miami. I just think it’ll probably be finished before the Obama. library and under budget.

(Speaker 1)
It will very likely be finished before the Obama library. By the way, I’m spearheading that project, and I couldn’t be more proud. I’ve always kind of been the builder of my family. I’m very much like DJT, like my father. I mean, building is in his genetics, and he certainly passed that off to me. And I’m building some of the greatest structures around the world, hotels.

It’s just something I get. I understand. I do it better than virtually anybody. And it’s what I love. It’s truly my passion. I said to him, I go, I’m the guy I wanted.

I want nothing to do with politics. You know, we won. We won the Super Bowl. I’m retiring from politics, but I’m going to obviously I run the Trump organization. You know, you watch what I build you like you. You watch the building I design and you watch the building that I build you.

And so yesterday I got the great piece of land in Miami. It was just conveyed over the presidential library in unanimous votes by the state of Florida. And Ron DeSantis was a huge help. And the attorney general, it was an absolute amazing guy. And so I have the piece of land and I’m working on renderings and I’m telling you guys more than I’ve ever said about this project publicly because I’m normally the guy that stays behind the scenes and just does versus kind of talks.

The renderings are guys spectacular.

Is it better than Obama’s? Is it better than like a giant rock tombstone?

Is it going to be better looking than that?

I’m going to go off script. I hope I can be a little bit politically incorrect on a beautiful podcast like this. But there’s a great segment on Jesse Waters the other night on Fox News. And they’re going around. They have that one young kid that they send out. Jesse Waters used to be that guy for Bill O ‘Reilly, as you remember.

But he goes around to everybody in Chicago and shows them a picture of the building or walks around the neighborhoods. What do you think of that? And everybody goes, man, that looks like a prison. And so here’s what I can promise Clay Clark as a good friend of mine, right? He’s seen our properties. He’s seen the best of our hotels.

I’ve sent him and his wife to a few of them. They’ve experienced Trump hospitality as best. This is going to be one of the finest buildings, if not the finest anywhere in the world. It will be the greatest monument to a man ever created. And it will be a beacon of hope and life and inspiration for a country for hundreds of years to come. And I just can’t wait.

I can’t show plans yet. We’re probably 15 iterations in, and I make it better and better and better every single day. But guys, it’s going to be spectacular.

What helps is those guys set the bar so low for you that it really helps. Like when you compare his library to his library, Trump’s library, compare Hunter Biden to you, you just kind of, you know, the gap’s great. One thing I want people to know about…

You know, he went from being a community organizer in Chicago, right, to president, like, you know, I’ve built buildings all over the country and all over the world. It’s all I’ve done. That’s what my father’s done his entire You know life like watch how we execute on on this project.

There’s actually never been a better task Directly suited for me ever right and yeah, and one more thing. They’ve spent a fortune building that kind of all concrete box They’ve spent an absolute fortune building that like, you know, and every week there’s another discrimination lawsuit I mean the great irony of all of this is that all his people are suing the library for discrimination 700 million dollars over budget right now.

Yeah. I know I promise you not a not a penny will go missing This will be the most efficient building ever built, and we will do it like we would do any commercial project, where it’s the biggest, it’s the best, it’s run the best, it’s got the best finishes. Again, it’s going to be a true Trek testament. to my father, and I couldn’t be more happy to be at the helm of this thing.

Eric, the thing I want people to know about you, and I’ve got to learn this from talking with you in person, there’s two things I share with people when they talk about Eric Trump. We were at Doral doing, we have a big three -wall air wall set up for our booth there just offstage, and so there’s a table in the middle, Stacey and I are interviewing, you know, speakers one after the other. When you walk in, there’s kind of entourage, everybody kind of wants to come up and meet you. And I don’t remember who we were talking to, but you kind of see things out of the corner of your eye. We weren’t interviewing you at this time. You were with a group of people, and there was a worker at the hotel that was cleaning, and she was struggling to move a tall stack of chairs.

And you’re there talking with a large group of people, and you notice she’s struggling with it, and everybody’s trying to get to her. to you or close to the stage, you walk away from the group and help her move. the chairs, the worker for the property and made her job easier. For me, that stands out because it’s behind stage, number one. Number two, everybody probably had the opportunity to see she was struggling. You took a moment to step out and made her day better.

Number two thing I share with people when I talk about you is they kind of see the, you know, Eric Trump, you got the tie and this kind of stuff. In Missouri, we’re 43 days away from deer season opening up here. And, you know, Not only could you… You took Trump Organization from, I think, six resorts to 21, I think, golf clubs alone. Just that worldwide.

But you, when we started, I got into a conversation with you about hunting, and you said, It was like you lit up, you got into calibers, rifles, this, that, boom. It wasn’t like, oh, I went once on a guided tour and somebody loaded the gun and they handed it to me and helped me hold it. You’re the real deal in that side. You could go hunting with anybody watching this show from the state of Missouri and up their game by being there.

Well, I just came back from the Yukon, I was sleeping on a rock for for about five day period of time. And so I listen, I love it. And I grew up doing a lot of competitive shooting. It’s one of the things I talked about actually a lot in under siege kind of how disgusting the whole Butler thing was, you know, to me as a guy who grew up doing a lot of competitive rifle stuff, 130 yard shot with a modern rifle is a chip shot, right. And, you know, the you know, the kind of, you know, long range rifle has been my life competitive shot, you know, been my my life.

You know since I was a real young kid. But it’s funny that picture right there. Jake Tapper was on the picture. That was the governor of Iowa’s son Eric Branstad right there. And I’ll never forget Jake Tapper goes you know oh ha ha. You know these guys these guys espoused to be supporters of the Second Amendment.

Let’s just go And even Jake, I handed Jake a shotgun, I’ll never forget it. You know when you can tell that somebody’s never held a gun before, it’s just awkward, like everything, right? And I know it’s, you know, the hunting and shooting sports have been a really big part of my life. I spent a lot of time in the book talking about that, but it’s one of those things that kept me away from drugs.

It’s one of those things that kept me away from drinking, waking up early. the discipline of the shooting sports, the responsibility of the shooting sports, the camaraderie of the outdoors. It kept me away from all the nonsense that so many people I knew went down the path of.
