So congratulations. My name is Kevin Thomas and the name of our company is MultiClean. We are a commercial janitorial service and we serve the entire state of Oklahoma and Kansas and soon to be Arkansas. We have probably grown probably five times. I think when we first started with you, we had 60 to 65 employees, and now we have a little over 300 employees. Before we got involved with Thrive Time, we didn’t really have any systems or processes in place.
In six, seven years, I’ve probably been to 12 to 13 business conferences and Amazingly, each time I go, I learn something new and I’m so excited to bring it back and show the team about marketing and how to help you guys implement the SEO. Good, Clay. How you doing? I am doing great. And by the way, we’re down to our final two canisters of Kingdom Fuel now. Appreciate you having me. Listened to this show for a long time, so it feels surreal to be on here. My name is Luke Body, B -O -D -D -Y. So I always say it’s B -O to the double D -Y -O. Step one, why does everybody watching today’s show have to get fired up about their own life and their own success to the same level they would while cheering for their favorite college football team? Or why do people have to get so excited about their own life?
The same kind of enthusiasm that people bring to a Star Wars movie debut or they dress up like they’re Darth Vader or something or but people get so fired up to cheer for their favorite athlete or their favorite movie or their favorite people love to cheer for their favorite celebrity people get excited to see Justin Bieber people get so fired up to go their favorite event. But Dave, why do people have to have that kind of excitement about their own life? Because they have to take action. Nobody else can do it for them. There it is.
So if you’re watching today’s show, step number one, I want you to get fired up about your own success, your own life, because you Correct me theologically if I’m getting something wrong.
God has given us one life.
Every single day that we have is a gift from God.
What we do with it is a gift to God. I believe that this is the day that the Lord has made and we should rejoice and be glad in it. Dave, correct me if I’m out of line theologically, but I am everybody getting fired up about their own success. Amen. It’s biblical. It’s biblical, and I don’t know if I get so fired up I start to blur again, but hey, September 9th is the day the new internet is being established.
We have to suffer through this plague of internet fog until September 9th, unbelievable. Okay, we continue. So step number two, you gotta find a proven path. You think about a guy like Dr. Sherwood. I mean, Dr. Sherwood, He could have just thought about, wow, we need to make a meal replacement supplement that’s healthier. So we move on to step number three.
You gotta commit to that consistent action, and I wanna get your thoughts on this because You’re recording these shows consistently. I mean, this is not a thing where you’re doing a show and then taking a month off. You’re not doing a show and then taking that six months off. But there had to be a time before you had such a wonderful audience of people where you were recording the show and maybe one person would listen. Or you recorded the show and the only listener was your wife. Or there was a time where you started and there was no momentum, there was nobody in the comment section, there was no subscribers, there were no viewers, there were no likes, there was no traction, but you had to do it.
I wanna get your thoughts. What was your mindset as you were starting His Glory knowing that you believed that God called you to do this? But before there was any traction or momentum, what was the mindset that you had?
That trust the plan of the Lord, that it was going to happen. And you just you can’t skip steps. You can’t skip phases. You can’t go from, you know, one minute just opening up a new show. and it hitting millions of people. So there’s a process you have to take every step of the way.
And it’s the same in business. You can’t skip a step. That’s why you have to be very diligent in your operations to have the A to Z business plan. Now, step number four, you wanna surround yourself with wise counsel. The Bible says, Proverbs 13, 20, it says, he that walketh with wise men shall be wise, but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. Again, it says, he that walketh with wise men shall be wise, but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
At some point, you have to surround yourself with good people. And I’m gonna tell people a story out there, and Dave, you can rebuke or correct me on this here. Abraham, God called Abraham to be used in a mighty, mighty way. And he called Abraham, and when he called Abraham, Abraham was busy making idols, is my understanding of his profession. His profession was making false idols, correct me if I’m wrong here, he was making false idols, and God’s going, You need to switch your profession, and you need to leave your kinfolk. So you need to leave the family, and you need to leave the idol -making business.
Could you imagine having a business in today’s world that’s like, welcome to Carl’s Idol Building Service. It’s a big store, welcome to Carl’s Idol Building. I mean, imagine a huge retail store the size of Lowe’s, making idols, false idols. Your family’s doing great financially.
You’re a big deal and God tells you leave your family, leave your country, leave your city, leave your town, leave your kinfolk, leave your occupation, and follow my calling.
And the word vocation means calling. That’s what the word vocation means in Latin. It means calling, okay? To retire means to treat from. I want to get your thoughts about this day because I think we read stories sometimes about Abraham.
and his decision to leave his kinfolk, as God commanded.
We read the stories of Proverbs 13, 20, about how we have to surround ourselves, Proverbs 13, 20, with wise counsel. We read those stories, but when it comes time to doing it, we’re like, oh, I don’t know. I don’t know.
I kind of have a cushy job making idols. I kind of I like my pot smoking family that I live with. I kind of enjoy being around the community of dysfunction that I’m used to. I kind of have a normal of dysfunction.
What is that Dave?
What keeps people from taking the action? I used to hear from Jim Rohn, I think it was Jim Rohn that said, it’s inspiration that drives us or desperation. You’re either inspired to get ahead for yourself and your family, or it’s desperate times that make you have to get ahead. Either way, use that fuel to start your plan today. And I’ll tell you those two success stories I shared with you. The one young man who has the outdoor remodeling company, who grew his company by a thousand percent.
I remember talking to him the first time. At the time, he’s probably 24, 25. I don’t know. And he was like, Hey, I want to start this outdoor living company. I want to do like outdoor pergolas and hot tubs and all this stuff. And I’m going, you know, you can do it.
And I don’t know that anybody had ever told him that. You can do it. He’s like, I can do it. I mean, I work with people in your industry right now in different states and cities. And one of my clients went from a startup to 17 million a year doing exactly what you do. And so I know that if he could do it, you can do it.
He said, well, that guy, did he have a background, though, in this? And I said, no, he was a firefighter. He said, so the guy doing 17 million a year was a firefighter? I said, yeah.
He said, well, had he, did he have a business background?
I said, no. He’s like, so I, but as far as the coaching, I know you guys do coaching and you coach clients and you teach them down a proven path, but I couldn’t afford Clay the $1 ,700. And I said, well, you know, we have, we have scholarships. He’s like, okay. I said, we can literally let people name their price for conference tickets, my friend. And he’s like, really?
And he’s like, so how did he start? I said, you got a scholarship ticket. He goes, really?
And so all of a sudden he was like, I can do it.
gonna do it. And I remember just the lights came on and it was this moment of just awesome. And I’m telling you folks, if you feel stuck, I want to help you have that aha moment. Now, step number five, you have to solve a real problem that real people are really willing to pay you to solve. So as an example, the Kingdom Fuel Products, I called Dr. Sherwood last night. He can vouch for the story.
I said, Sherwood, We’re running critically low right now on our Sherwood supplies. Critically low. Critically low. He’s like, man, you must be crushing the Sherwood stuff. I said, absolutely. And so I said, I need to order some right now.
We’re down to our final two canisters for our meal replacement. I mean, Sherwood, I could die. I need this now. And then Sherwood’s like, I can’t get you any more power. I’ll try to ship it to you overnight. So anyway, Sherwood doesn’t have a Scottish accent.
But the point is, he was trying to get me to the stuff right away. And I said, I’m gonna run out here in probably 48 hours, Sherwood. And he’s like, I’ll get that to you now. And so, but anyway, he’s overnighting it, getting it to me, the whole thing, but it’s a real product and I’m really willing to pay him for the real product, which solves real problems. I think this makes sense in this context. Jesus was telling certain people, hey, listen, with a sense of urgency, I want you to follow me, Jesus is saying.
Jesus is telling people, I want you to prioritize following Jesus as opposed to the obligations of the earth.
Jesus was telling people, hey, look, the obligations that you have in this earth don’t really matter in comparison to becoming a disciple of Jesus. That’s what Jesus was saying to people. And so one guy, I’m sure, I don’t know the whole story, but a guy puts his hand up, and this is how I pictured my mind, Luke chapter nine, verse 16. Excuse me, but, you know, I had a funeral, you know, and so I don’t know why I did my picture like that, but that’s how I feel. So I think there’s somebody who has like a yeah, but, you know, yeah, but, yeah, yeah, Jesus, you know, I got this funeral coming up here and, you know, I know it’s top priority, but I got a funeral, you know, gotta get the quiche, get the catering, gotta plan the wake, you know, and Jesus said, I’m reading from the Bible here, Jesus said, Luke chapter nine, verse 60, Jesus said unto them, let the dead bury their dead, but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. I mean, that’s a pretty urgent message.
Now someone says, well, he was talking about the gospel. Don’t do that. Don’t, don’t take it out of context. Okay, fine. So we’ll move on to Napoleon Hill, who’s not in the Bible. And by the way, if anything that Napoleon Hill is saying,
written goes against the Bible, go with the Bible. But he wrote, think and grow rich. And he’s had this notable quotable I live by.
He says, the time will never be just right.
You must act now. He also said that action is the real measure of intelligence.

I saw his compound. He’s like the greatest guy. I ran from his goats, his chickens, his dogs. So this guy’s like the greatest marketer you’ve ever seen, right? His entire life, Clay Clark, his entire life is marketing.

I don’t think you know this. I’m pinching myself, and if I cry, forgive me. In the last two and a half days, we have bettered our entire month of February in the last two and a half days. And the phone’s blowing up. Everything’s just blowing up. You’re right.
It is like a rocket ship.
We’re pinching ourselves, actually. I learned at the Academy at King’s Point in New York, acta non verba. Watch what a person does. not what they say. But I recognized at the age of 15, I’m going, you know what? I am not going to live that way.
And so I started a company out of my parents’ basement called DJConnection . com and I decided I am going to have success. And so I reached out to millionaires and people that I kind of knew through church and friendships and people that, parents of my friends. And I said, what book would you recommend that I read? I’m a 15 year old asking this question, true story. And I kept being told you got to read.
Hello, hello, hello. Robert Kiyosaki, Rich Dad Radio Show. It’s an exciting time. Also I think a treacherous time, a spooky time also. But it’s always, you know, danger is a good time. Today my guest is Clay Clark and I went out with Tom Wheelwright to visit Clay with Eric Trump also.
And the reason I wanna talk to Clay this morning is a very important subject called study. And the reason I say that is things are changing so fast And many people are completely missing the show. You know, things are changing at rapid, rapid, rapid speed. Technology is changing. As I went to Tulsa, well, again, with Tom Wheelwright and Eric, Eric Trump, and I think I was so impressed about climate. is this word called study.
I don’t know. You guys must be in your water or something, Clay. But boy, I was so, so impressed how big you guys are. But what really impressed me was you have this huge congregation. They’re all about guys your age. They’re on fire.
and you start your classes at five in the morning. Now, let me talk to you about study here. We show our books here. This is how I study. You know, this is the creature from Jack O ‘Lantern. It’s on the Fed, and Clay’s doing the same thing.
We study. So I go out to Clay’s place in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He’s built this huge compound out there, and you guys start at five o ‘clock in the morning. That’s not by Zoom. They drive there. They show up five o ‘clock, bright -haired, bushy -tailed, and all this, and they’re on fire.
Your group is on fire.
So that’s what was unclear.

I was so, so impressed because, like I said, studies became a bad word. I got into fights in my own company because our staff didn’t want to study anymore.
I don’t know how they cannot do that. So Clay, anyway, welcome to the Rich Dad Radio Show. That’s what I wanna talk to you about, is how do you do it? Five o ‘clock in the morning, you have hundreds of people showing up in your huge, huge, huge auditorium on your property to study.
Anyway, welcome to the show, Clay, and what turns you on so much? That’s what I wanna know. Give us a little bit about your background. Karime Schofield, and the name of our company is Whistle While You Clean. I am Sophia Schofield. We live in Cincinnati, Ohio and we service the tri -state.
So Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana. We were getting a phone call. and we were like, why is someone calling our business line? That’s unusual. And we picked it up and it was a lead. I mean, it’s it’s been incredible, Clay.
It’s we’ve had like we’ve gone from zero to like one hundred percent growth. We’re like a full functioning company. It’s great. We’re blown away at how well we’re doing. So working with you guys, you guys have really taught us a lot about generating leads and pursuing our dream 100. So we have a list of customers that we want to market to.
And so we’ve been making phone calls. We’ve been showing up in person. We’re trying to get near the businesses that they would visit if they were visiting like a hair salon or something. And then we start calling them and we just start pursuing them. And then the other thing that we do is when we do do cleans, we take a lot of video testimonials and we post those to our website so other customers can see. And then we also upload a lot of images of the things that we do.
And so We’re also asking our clients for Google reviews after we’ve cleaned their houses. And so it’s this constant cycle of doing those things over and over and over again. I would say if you’re on the fence, go to one of Clay’s conferences. They are hilarious. They’re fun. They’re educational.
They’re so good that even my teenagers like them. And I would say don’t let fear hold you back. If you want to start a business, do the obvious thing and hire someone who knows how to run businesses. If I wanted to get in shape, I’d hire a gym person, you know, a personal trainer. This is like the personal training for business. It has been absolutely amazing.
I mean, our coach is encouraging. When he first met with us, he said, do we want him to be like a drill sergeant with us? You know, what level of intensity do we want him to give us?
And I will say he is incredibly, incredibly encouraging all the time.
And he just hits the same mark with us every single time.
It’s very repetitive, but I feel like, I think we both really learn a lot every time we sit down and have a conversation with him over the phone. It’s it’s he keeps pushing us to go further and he can recognize when we’re afraid to do something and he’ll give us a little bit of grace. But that next week he’s drilling us again, like pushing us to go harder.

And we were surprised how far that dollar clean got us. How important has it been for you to work out that scripting? Even though you offer a dollar for the first clean, how important has it been for you to nail that down?
It’s been really important, because it kind of, it hones in, so that you’re not just all over the place when you’re trying to explain what it is that you do. And a lot of times, it’s like you’re a good person offering a good product, and you have integrity, and you want to communicate that.
But when you go to communicate without a script or without practice, it’s just like, a mess coming out of your mouth, as opposed to having this, you know, honed in practice where you know what you’re going to say, you know how you’re going to say it, and you can almost expect better results when you do it that way. Had you ever been an entrepreneur before starting this particular business? No, never. Did you ever think about wanting to own your own business someday or what was the first time you thought, you know, maybe I would like to open my own business? Absolutely. I’ve probably been dreaming about it for about 10 years.
Okay. And let me go to your daughter here. Had you ever thought about wanting to team up and open your own business or was that something that you were maybe excited about or not so much? Well, for me, my parents would always listen to your podcast and business podcast. And as I started listening to them, I started realizing that I wanted to own a business. www .
WhistleWhileYouClean . com. Honestly, the hardest thing was getting over the fear. It was the fear of the unknown. It was there was like a cloud of doubt that, you know, you can’t do this. You’re going to fail.
There was a few sleepless nights there when we did pull the trigger and join your team and start the coaching process. Even my husband put a little bit of pressure on me from time to time because it just it was just absolutely scary to take that jump and actually start a business.
