Clay, you’re an entrepreneur, I’m an entrepreneur, and as they say in Stoic, the obstacle is the way. And so if you let these pinheads get in your way, you’re in trouble. Octononverba is the motto of the U . S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kingspoint, New York. I had appointments with Naval Academy and Kingspoint Merchant Marine Academy.
And Merchant Marine Academy’s motto was octononverba. In other words, don’t listen to what a person says. Watch what they do. Clay, my honor, my honor to be on your show and thank you for all you do. I hear the ripple effects from you are good ripple effects. You know what I mean?
People rave about what they learn from you.
So congratulations. My name is Kevin Thomas and the name of our company is MultiClean. We are a commercial janitorial service and we serve the entire state of Oklahoma and Kansas and soon to be Arkansas. We have probably grown probably five times. I think when we first started with you, we had 60 to 65 employees, and now we have a little over 300 employees. Before we got involved with Thrive Time, we didn’t really have any systems or processes in place.
In six, seven years, I’ve probably been to 12 to 13 business conferences and Amazingly, each time I go, I learn something new and I’m so excited to bring it back and show the team about marketing and how to help you guys implement the SEO. The coaching is just great because there’s accountability. It’s just a fantastic way to grow your company. Having a relationship with Thrivetimes, it’s just been amazing for multiclaim. Oh my goodness, it frees me up because then I don’t have to take a class on search engine optimization or learn marketing or shoot video. That’s not what we do.
What we do is commercial janitorial service. And you guys were the experts on marketing. And you teach me and hold my hand and show me how to do it right.
And therefore, now my company is much, much larger. Folks, on today’s show, we’re joined by a real client. He may look like a male model. He may look like a hologram. But he’s a real person. He’s a longtime client.
He’s a man that we consider to be a friend of The Thrive Time Show and a friend of mine. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the show, Kevin. Welcome on to The Thrive Time Show.

All right, that’s all the announcements. It’s time for Clay Clark. Dave, this segment is also sponsored by, or it’s not sponsored by, but I wish it was, sponsored by DayQuil. If you are not feeling good, have a bunch of DayQuil. But if you’ve had enough that makes your liver quake, then you’ve probably had too much.
If you lose the feeling in your right hand and you begin to feel like you’re going deaf, then you probably need to taper off the DayQuil. But Dave, that’s my solution to all problems. And I want to mask the problem, Dave.
DayQuil is my solution. And I’ve taken that from you. I’ve seen you in action with that DayQuil. And my wife is always giving me credit about it. She says, it just masks the symptoms. And I said, that’s the whole purpose.
I want to mask it. Get through.
Can’t have a day off. You’re watching the show, and you know how bad this is for you. Please leave notes in the comments. Please share with us what you know about DayQuil. My wife hates it too, but that’s what I do. I haven’t had a sick day, Dave, in 25 years, 26 years.
But on today’s show, what I want to talk about, this is profound stuff, okay, is you’re never too young and you’re never too old if you do not allow yourself to grow cold. What? So if you want to have success, you’re never too young and you’re never too old as long as you don’t allow yourself to get cold. What am I saying? I think what happens a lot of times, Dave, is people will watch a show like this, they’ll go to a conference, they’ll show up at one of the His Glory events, and they’ve got that fire of desire that’s required to do something. And then, you know, they end up going home and eating a Hot Pocket at three in the morning.
They end up going home and they’re like, eh, you know. Probably won’t work out. You end up watching like an endless Netflix series, and they lose that fire of desire. So I want to fire somebody up on today’s show. So what I’m going to do here, Dave, I’m going to pull up a success story. This is a wonderful listener, who I believe is a HisGloria listener, by the way.
These guys, OK, they’re based in Ohio, I believe. Listen to this story. This is a mom and daughter team. Dave, they started their company about a year ago. And listen to the success they’re having.
Here we go.
My name is Kareemay Schofield and the name of our company is Whistle While You Clean.
I am Sophia Schofield. We live in Cincinnati, Ohio.
We service the tri -state, so Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois. We were getting a phone call and we were like, why is someone calling our business line? That’s unusual.
And we picked it up and it was a lead. I mean, it’s been an incredible play. We’ve gone from zero to like 100 % growth. We’re like a full functioning company. It’s great. We’re blown away at how well we’re doing.
So working with you guys, you guys have really taught us a lot about generating leads and pursuing our dream 100. So we have a list of customers that we want to market to. And so we’ve been making phone calls. We’ve been showing up in person.
We’re trying to get near the businesses that they would visit if they were visiting like a hair salon. You shouldn’t be looking at other things, but I’m pulling it up. Okay, whistlewhileyaclean . com. Everybody check out the website. Everybody go there.
Whistlewhileyaclean . com. And Dave, this wonderful mother, she said, Clay, I’ve been listening to your show for years, and my daughter who’s 15 says, Mom! We should do it, let’s go, woo! And they, Dave, they booked their tickets. They didn’t know what kind of business they even wanted to start, Dave.
They said, we don’t even know what kind of business we’re gonna start, but let’s just go to Tulsa, Jerusalem. We’re going to Thrive Time Show.
They said we can name our price, so let’s go.
So they went to thrivetimeshow . com. True story. They bought a ticket. I’ll never forget. The mother came up to me.
She said, we want to start a business. I don’t know what kind of business we want to start, but if you were us, what kind of business would you start? Dave, they now have a very, very successful, dare I say, lucrative cleaning business, and they’re doing it, Dave, but I think if we’re not careful, we lose that fire of desire. So I want to get your thoughts on that, Dave. What happens?
What does life do to us where people say, What happened to me? Why did I lose my enthusiasm? Every kid wanted to become a firefighter. Every kid wanted to become a police officer, a pro athlete.
They wanted to open their own business.
And then something happens when you’re like, what, 30, maybe 25. You start to say, well, I just want to retire someday. So I see 25 -year -olds walking around like they’re dead, waiting to die. It’s crazy. You say, what do you want to do with your life? And they say, I just want to retire.
And then when you’re, what, 35, now they’re like, I just want to have benefits and then someday retire. Then they’re 45, now they’re like, I don’t know what it is, but I’ve got gout. I think I’ve got gout and I want to retire. And then there are 55 going, can I get a standing desk or a sitting desk? And I might have to have carpal tunnel and I’m getting anxiety. And when I walk, I just feel like I need to wear glasses that block the blue light from my office.
And I got to wear a brace while I walk around. I’m just trying to make it out here.
I mean, what happens, Dave? Where does the dream go? Yeah, it gets snuffed out because when you lose that fire, you lose your desire. And we got to have that fire always.
And you don’t know what needs to get your fire going. You got to find that quiet spot, get your fire back and don’t put that fire out ever. So Dave, I’m going to pull this up. I’m going to walk the listeners through these six steps. And you were able to rise very high in corporate America by implementing these moves. And I’m going to teach everybody these moves.
But I want everyone to know these moves and apply these moves. So move number one, OK, it starts with a notable quotable. You got to get in the room with successful people if you want to become successful. Another way to look at it is you become the average of the five people that you spend the most time with. Another way to talk about it, Proverbs, this controversial book from the Bible. By the way, Proverbs.
is a book in favor of verbs what proverbs a book in favor of action proverbs proverbs okay it says he that walketh with wise men shall be wise, but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. That’s Proverbs 13, 20. Someone says, I don’t like that part. Okay, First Corinthians chapter 15, verse 33 says, be not deceived, evil associations corrupt good manners. Someone says, what are you talking about?
I don’t get it. Folks, look at this, usdebtclock . org, usdebtclock . org, go there right now, folks. There are 342 million Americans in our country right now, but there are only 9 ,044 ,000 self -employed people. Dave, we’re down to less than 2 .5 % of the American population is self -employed, and according to Inc.
Magazine, 96%, I’m pulling it up here, folks, 96 % of businesses fail according to Inc. Magazine. So what am I saying? I’m saying that by default, you have less than a one out of 1 ,000 shot. You have less than a one in 1 ,000 shot of becoming truly successful by default. And so Dave, if you are not around people that are successful in the area of life that you want to become successful, you’re not going to have a high probability of achieving success.
You do become the average of the five people you spend the most time with. That’s why everybody out there, unless you hate yourself, and I know you don’t, you got to watch His Glory. Because when you watch a show like His Glory, It updates from wonderful generals, from prophets, from pastors, from teachers, and it’s gonna impact the way that you think about life. And it is so important, Dave.
Dave, we can’t be watching CNN all day and wondering why we’re upset. We can’t be watching woke media and wondering why we’re upset. We do become the average of the five people we spend the most time with. Dave, I wanna get your thoughts on that. That’s so key. You’ve got to surround yourself with people, even people that are stronger than you.
You think out of pride that you don’t want people that are more talented than you.
You need to bring a team together that brings in great talent. Also, if you have a weakness, bring somebody in that fulfills your weakness. We all have weaknesses. Now, pro tip number two, pro tip number two. If you want to become super successful, you’re not too old. No, no, you’re not too young.
You’re not too old. You just do not allow yourself to get too cold. You’ve got to work with a sense of urgency. You see, a standard calendar has Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Wait a minute, Friday, Saturday, what was that next one? Sunday, but then we don’t have someday.
There it is. You see, we have Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, but we don’t have someday. And if you put anything on your to -do list in the someday category, in the junk drawer of life, it simply will not get done. So Napoleon Hill, who couldn’t be here today because he’s dead, he once said that action is the real measure of intelligence. Action is the real measure of intelligence. A goal is a dream with a deadline.
A goal is a dream with a deadline. So if you’re watching today’s show, go there now and go there now during the break.

Our breaks are just as entertaining as the show, or more so. Now, Dave, move number three, and again, if you’re watching today’s show, I’m trying to encourage somebody out there, speak life into somebody’s dream out there. It’s so important that you understand you’re not too young and you’re not too old to have success.
The only thing you gotta do, you’re not too young, you’re not too old, you just have to avoid getting too cold. And I’m just telling you this, folks, I don’t hop on this show to give you words of discouragement. I’m trying to give you some hard, coaching, some real mentorship that everybody needs. And one of my clients, I can’t mention what he does for, I can’t mention what team he’s on or whatever, but he’s a professional coach. And we do our calls, we do our calls early in the morning. We do our calls so early that no one else is awake, okay?
So we’re at five in the morning, we’re doing our calls, okay? And this guy’s taking top level athletes that are coming in. the highest level to win sporting events. And he’ll call me up. I’ll say, what’s going on? He says, man, this player over here, he didn’t want to play.
He’s not happy with his contract. This player over here wants to be traded. This guy over here is not getting the ball enough. This guy over here feels like he’s not being used. And there’s all those emotions, man, all those emotions. Meanwhile, once they do a tip off and the game gets going, But you got to throw all that aside.
And so this third tip I want to, because again, this coach, he has to get his mindset right, because he knows as soon as he gets in that locker room, all these players are going to be bringing all that drama and all that noise, and he can’t succumb to that. So move number three, you’ve got to learn to manage your emotions. You watching this show, I, we, we have to manage our emotions. And I always tell people that emotions, the E, the word emotions is spelled E -motions. The E always gets in the way of the motions, right? The E’s always in the way.
So I see people like, well, I need to update my website. You know, but my sister made it and she’s my friend or I, you know, I just, I need to hire that guy. But if I were to hire that guy, I have to fire a guy and he’s been here for 10 years and I know he’s terrible, but, uh, you know, he’s, he’s been here 10 years. I know I really need to get rid of that product. I can replace it with a new one, but I’ve got a certain nostalgia to it. There’s just that there’s that there’s kind of that emotional.
Thing behind the thing where you know what to do, but how do you process the emotions? And so I want to read you a notable quotable from Napoleon Hill He says before success comes in any man’s life He is sure to meet with much temporary defeat and perhaps some failure When defeat overtakes a man the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit That is exactly what the majority of men do more than 500 of the most successful men this country has ever known told the author Napoleon Hill Their greatest success came just one step beyond a point at which defeat had overtaken them And so Dave, I’m gonna give a real example. Your listeners out there, they remember the Reawaken America Tour in Las Vegas, but do you remember it? Because Dave remembers it in a way. that I do, but a lot of people don’t. All I know, Dave, is we had about 8 ,000 tickets sold.
We’re headed to Las Vegas, and I get a call from a certain person.
I’m not trying to be sued.
And they said, hey, by the way, you can’t host the Reawaken tour at our venue. I’m going, but our contract says you will. And they said, well. You could sue us later, but we’re revoking your permission to be at our venue. We’ve decided to revoke that because we think you might be a reputation risk, but good luck finding another place. So I find a place, I find a park.
The park says you could turn our park into, this is in Las Vegas in the summer. You can turn this park into a venue, but you’ll have to build a massive metal structure and you’re going to have to have enough air conditioning to power up like a professional sports stadium kind of thing. And by the way, you’re gonna need to get the bids. the quotes and get all the insurance done this week. ” And I’m going, all right. And so 600, it’s a real story, over $600 ,000 later, We got the quotes, got the bids, got it done, got it paid.
Wow. Then I get another call at the actual event. You remember this Dave, certain people in that city were saying, well, you guys are a noise violation. You’re having over 8 ,000 people at this venue. And because of the potential noise violations, all your speakers have to be done by this time. So instead of going until like eight, you have to be done by, I think it was six.
So then I’m backstage, you’re speaking, Julie Green speaking, wonderful speakers. are speaking, there’s praise and worship going on, there’s baptisms. Meanwhile, I am on the phone working that thing like a call center. I’m calling Jim Brewer the comedian. I’m calling Roseanne the comedian. I’m calling Donald J. Trump Jr. I’m like, hey guys, good news, we haven’t been raptured yet, or we’re not dead yet, or something positive.
Bad news, I need you to get here three hours before I told you you need to be here. So Jim says, I’m at the airport. And Jim actually wove that into his routine. He says, I’m at the airport, so I’m gonna have to get on stage wearing what I’m wearing now. I’m like, well. So Jim goes from the airport to our stage.
It’s on the mic, rocks the show, has an unbelievable stage presence. Roseanne is like, I’ll get there. And so Dave, that was the thing happening behind the scenes. And I could have said, man, let’s quit. I could have said, I’m going to throw in the towel. But I didn’t do it.
And I’m not saying this to build up my reputation. I’m saying this because if you’re watching today’s show, adversity is required if you’re going to have success. Let me repeat that. Failure is a prerequisite to success. Failure is required. You have to go through some kind of adversity in route to success.
Strength is developed through perpetual struggle. You want to build big muscles? Work out all the time. You want to improve your physique? Work out all the time. You say, well, I’m sore.
Since I started working out, I’m always sore. That’s because perpetual struggle is what creates strength. And in our culture today, Dave, and I think it’s been part of the culture forever, probably since the time of Jesus, we seek comfort. We seek, oh, we want comfort. I want someone to tell me, Clay, it’ll be fine. It’ll work out.
This little venue will just book itself.
You’ll be fine. But that’s not how it happens. And so Dave, behind the scenes, when you started His Glory, I know we have limited time today, but was there a little bit of adversity behind the starting of the His Glory network? Oh, yeah, you know, I died and went to heaven. So that was the easy part. It’s starting.
His glory was more difficult than that trial and tribulation because Satan went through every roadblock out at as you could possibly imagine.
But we didn’t quit. We kept going, improvise, adapt and overcome through him. And he opened the way. And now you’re wearing a shirt that says warrior on it. So there you go. Now, move number four, it says to build an organization.
Move number four to build an organization. You got to be organized. And I love somebody out there. I’m helping somebody. Man, I wish I could speak to you in a way that people can feel that I’m coming at you from love. trying to help you, trying to coach you up, trying to lift you up.
I’m not trying to talk down to anybody here, but if you don’t have a to -do list, you’re just gonna lose. You gotta have, you gotta write down. that which you need to do. The 10 commandments, I mean, God revealed his commandments, well, they were written down, right? We gotta write it down, make it plain. And somebody out there, you’ve been fighting the idea of a to -do list, you’ve got 12 different time management apps, you’ve got an Etch -a -Sketch that you carry around, you have Post -it notes everywhere, you try to give yourself voice memos, just have one to -do list for your one life.
And to be bilingually sensitive, have one to -do list for your one life. Okay, now moving on to number five here, Number five, manage your time.
Manage your time.
Robert Kiyosaki, he said, the size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire, the size of your dream, and how you handle disappointment along the way. Well, in my schedule, I have a very detailed schedule and I have no time scheduled for what? Disappointment. So, bad things happen, guess what I do? I keep going. I don’t even process it.
I got the emotional capacity of a stamp, okay? You talk about a stamp, what’s a stamp? What is the emotional capacity of a stamp? A stamp sticks to it until it gets there. Hmm a stamp sticks to it until it gets there So if you’re dealing with a bad thing, just keep going if you’re going through hell, don’t stop right somebody out Winston Churchill said if you’re going through hell don’t stop someone says Winston Churchill, isn’t that the guy that saved Europe? Yes, if you’re going through hell, don’t stop somebody out there.
You gotta hear that Matthew 510 from the Bible That’s just in from the Bible Matthew 510 says blessed are ye who are persecuted for righteousness sake for ye shall inherit the kingdom of heaven blessed are ye who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for ye shall inherit the kingdom of heaven. If you’re getting negative reviews, negative comments, negative feedback because you’re standing up for the truth, just keep going. And move number six here. Napoleon Hill says that action is the real measure of intelligence again move number six take action Action is the real measure of intelligence now move number six take action. So there’s somebody out there You know that the upcoming conference is gonna be September 25 26 You know that Julie Greene’s gonna be there. Someone says she’s gonna be there.
Yep, Julie Greene By the way, Dave, I just sent you the schedule of events. I’ll be sending that to Julie today. So you’ll be there. Julie’s gonna be there. Mel K is gonna be there. Colton Dixon, check this out.
You know, the Christian top 40, Christian recording artist. Colton Dixon is gonna be in attendance. I didn’t know he was coming. He’s coming now. He’s gonna lead praise and worship. We’re gonna have a church service on Friday night.
He’ll be there. Endless client success stories. I have over 24. I have 24 confirmed client success stories. It’ll be in the house. Dr. Stella Emanuel will be there.
Mel K is gonna be there. Eric Trump will be in the house. So the question is, will you get there? If you’re watching today’s show, will you get there? And I would encourage you to go to thrivetimeshow . com.
And there’s three objections that some people have. They might say, I don’t have the time. Folks, I’m telling you, if you’ve been going the wrong way for a decade or longer, you don’t have time to not go to this. So go to thrivetimeshow . com. Someone says, I don’t have the money.
Well, folks, you can pay $250 or whatever price you want to pay. You can literally name your price. You say, well, how does that even work financially? It doesn’t work financially. Some people have a ministry. Some people have a conference where you can name your price.
Either way, we’re trying to sow seeds into your life. And then the third objection someone has is they say, you know, I just, I’ve been to other conferences before and I just, this wouldn’t be different. Well, I’ll tell you this, if you use promo code HisGlory, you have a chance to win a backstage pass. You have a chance to win a backstage pass. Also, these events are interactive. Dave, you’ve been to them before.
I consider them to be kind of a mixture of entertainment and education.
I call it edutainment.
But Dave, how would you describe these in -person workshops? They’re a ball.
They’re absolutely so much fun and you learn so much and it’s action -packed. You show to go from A to Z. You show real -life success stories, and that’s what people need to do. Take action. Tony Robbins said that. Take massive action. And we’re gonna teach at the conference, I’m just gonna read through some of the things we’re gonna be teaching you.
We’re gonna be teaching search engine optimization, how you get to the top of Google. We’re gonna teach you social media marketing. How do you gain influence there? We’re gonna teach you time management. We’re gonna teach you financial management. We’re gonna teach you accounting.
We’re gonna teach you how to increase your sales workflow. How do you build a workflow that allows you to increase your sales? How do you scale your sales? We’re gonna teach you about how to manage people. How do you manage people in this world we live in? How do you do that?
All of these concepts and more are gonna be taught And the way we do it is we do a 30 -minute teaching session, and then we do a 15 -minute question and answer session, and then we take a break. And we have live music, we have a live band, we have helicopter rides, we have a petting zoo. What? We have mariachis, a petting zoo. Someone says, I’m coming because of the petting zoo. We got a petting zoo, we got alpaca, the whole thing, llamas.
So I encourage you folks, if you want to have a life filled with action and not drama, Come to the in -person Thrive Time Show workshops, where we are going to give you a lot of enthusiasm and a llama. Dave, it’s going to be interactive.
It’s going to be great.
And if you use promo code HISGLORY, you have a chance to win a backstage pass.
And Dave, I’ve just expanded the number of port -a -potties, because I know we’re going to be out of port -a -potties. So Dave, and these are classy port -a -potties. I’m bringing classiness to the world of port -a -potties, Dave. I could not be more excited. Clay Clark is here somewhere.
Where’s my buddy Clay?
Clay’s the greatest.
I met his goats today. I met his dogs.
I met his chickens. I saw his compound. He’s like the greatest guy. I ran from his goats, his chickens, his dogs. So this guy’s like the greatest marketer you’ve ever seen, right? His entire life, Clay Clark, his entire life is marketing.
4 ,000 % from February to February. Now I can better that. Okay, Clay, I don’t think you know this. I don’t think you know this. I’m pinching myself, and if I cry, forgive me.
In the last two and a half days, we have bettered our entire month of February in the last two and a half days. And the phone’s blowing up.
Everything’s just blowing up. You’re right. It is like a rocket ship. We’re pinching ourselves, actually. I learned at the Academy at King’s Point in New York, acta non verba. Watch what a person does.
not what they say. But I recognized at the age of 15, I’m going, you know what? I am not going to live that way.
And so I started a company out of my parents’ basement called DJ connection . com. And I decided I am going to have success. And so I reached out to millionaires and people that I kind of knew through church and friendships and people that parents of my friends. And I said, what book would you recommend that I read? I’m a 15 year old asking this question, true story.
And I kept being told you got to read. Hello, hello, hello. Robert Kiyosaki, Rich Dad Radio Show. It’s an exciting time. Also, I think a treacherous time, a spooky time also. But it’s always, you know, danger is a good time.
Today my guest is Clay Clark and I went out with Tom Wheelwright to visit Clay with Eric Trump also. And the reason I wanna talk to Clay this morning is a very important subject called study. And the reason I say that is things are changing so fast And many people are completely missing the show. Things are changing at rapid, rapid, rapid speed. Technology is changing. So I went to Tulsa, again, with Tom Wheelwright and Eric Trump.
And the thing I was so impressed about Clay is this word called study. I don’t know, you guys must be in your water or something, Clay, but boy, I was so, so impressed how big you guys are. But what really impressed me was you have this huge congregation. They’re all about guys your age. They’re on fire. And you start your classes at five in the morning.
Now, let me talk to you about study here. We show our books here. This is how I study. You know, this is the creature from Jekyll Island. It’s on the Fed, and Clay’s doing the same thing. We study.
So I go out to Clay’s place in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He’s built this huge compound out there, and you guys start at five o ‘clock in the morning. That’s not by Zoom. They drive there. They show up five o ‘clock, bright -haired, bushy -tailed and all this, and they’re on fire. Your group is on fire.
So that’s what was on. Clay, this technology, you tell your group, I was so, so impressed. Because like I said, studies became a bad word. I got into fights in my own company because our staff didn’t want to study anymore.
And I just, I don’t know how they can not do that.
So Clay, anyway, welcome to the Rich Dad Radio Show.
That’s what I wanna talk to you about, is how do you do it? Five o ‘clock in the morning, you have hundreds of people showing up in your huge, huge, huge auditorium on your property to study.
Anyway, welcome to the show, Clay, and what turns you on so much?
That’s what I wanna know.
Give us a little bit about your background. Karime Schofield, and the name of our company is Whistle While You Clean.
I am Sophia Schofield. We live in Cincinnati, Ohio and we service the tri -state. So Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana. We were getting a phone call and we were like, why is someone calling? our business line? That’s unusual.
And we picked it up and it was a lead. I mean, it’s it’s been incredible, Clay. It’s we’ve had like we’ve gone from zero to like 100 percent growth. We’re like a full functioning company. It’s great. Like we were blown away at how well we’re doing.
So working with you guys, you guys have really taught us a lot about generating leads and pursuing our dream 100. So we have a list of customers that we want to market to. And so we’ve been making phone calls. We’ve been showing up in person. We’re trying to get near the businesses that they would visit if they were visiting like a hair salon or something. And then we start calling them and we just start pursuing them.
And then the other thing that we do is when we do do cleans, we take a lot of video testimonials and we post those to our website so other customers can see. And then we also upload a lot of images of the things that we do. And so We’re also asking our clients for Google reviews after we’ve cleaned their houses. And so it’s this constant cycle of doing those things over and over and over again. I would say if you’re on the fence, go to one of Clay’s conferences. They are hilarious.
They’re fun. They’re educational. They’re so good that even my teenagers like them. And I would say, don’t let fear hold you back. If you want to start a business, do the obvious thing and hire someone who knows how to run businesses. If I wanted to get in shape, I’d hire a gym person, you know, a personal trainer.
This is like the personal training for business. It has been absolutely amazing. I mean, our coach is encouraging. When he first met with us, he said, do we want him to be like us? drill sergeant with us? You know, what level of intensity do we want him to give us?
And I will say he is incredibly, incredibly encouraging all the time. And he just hits the same mark with us every single time. It’s very repetitive, but I feel like, I think we both really learn a lot every time we sit down and have a conversation with him over the phone. It’s it’s he keeps pushing us to go further and he can recognize when we’re afraid to do something and he’ll give us a little bit of grace.
But that next week, he’s drilling us again, like pushing us to go harder. Our no brainer offer is we are offering your first clean for a dollar.
And that sounds absolutely insane. It even sounded insane when I was talking over it with our business coach. And I will tell you that that has generated some of our hugest clients.
I mean, that has been like a game changer because it opened up the door to more clients, more recommendations, more leads.
And we were surprised how far that dollar clean got us.
How important has it been for you to work out that scripting?
Even though you offer a dollar for the first clean, how important has it been for you to nail that down?
It’s been really important, because it kind of, it hones in, so that you’re not just all over the place when you’re trying to explain what it is that you do.
And a lot of times, it’s like you’re a good person offering a good product, and you have integrity, and you want to communicate that. But when you go to communicate without a script or without practice, it’s just like, a mess coming out of your mouth as opposed to having this you know honed in practice where you know what you’re going to say you know how you’re going to say it and you can almost expect better results when you do it that way. Had you ever been an entrepreneur before starting this particular business? No, never.
Did you ever think about wanting to own your own business someday or what was the first time you thought, you know, maybe I would like to open my own business? Absolutely.
I’ve probably been dreaming about it for about 10 years. Okay. And let me go to your daughter here. Uh, had you ever thought about wanting to team up and open your own business or was that something that you were maybe excited about or not? Not so much? Well, for me, my parents would always listen to your podcast and business podcast.
And as I started listening to them, I started realizing that I wanted to own a business. It’s www . WhistleWhileYouClean . com. Honestly, the hardest thing was getting over the fear. It was the fear of the unknown.
It was there was like a cloud of doubt that, you know, you can’t do this. You’re going to fail. There was a few sleepless nights there when we did pull the trigger and join your team and start the coaching process. Even my husband put a little bit of pressure on me from time to time because it just it was just absolutely scary to take that jump and actually start a business.
