Some shows don’t need a celebrity narrator to introduce the show, but this show does. In a world filled with endless opportunities, why would two men who have built 13 multi -million dollar businesses altruistically invest five hours per day to teach you the best practice business systems and moves that you can use? Because they believe in you, and they have a lot of time on their hands. This started from the bottom, Now they’re here. It’s the Thrive Time Show, starring the former U . S.
Small Business Administration’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Clay Clark, and the entrepreneur trapped inside an optometrist’s body, Dr. Robert Zunder. Two men, eight kids, co -created by two different women, 13 multi -million dollar businesses. We started from the bottom, now we’re at the top. Teaching you the systems to get what we got. Colton Dixon’s on the hooks. I break down the books.
Seeds bringing some wisdom and the good looks. As the fuck you see my wife and kids up on your right. Pause. So for me, with my career, that was when Maytag called and said, could you be our speaker for all of our events? And I go, yeah, sure. And then Hewlett -Packard called and said, could you do all of our events?
And then O ‘Reilly’s called. And then it just kept happening. And then dentists and lawyers and photographers. And it kept happening. And then people were like, hey, could you help my business? And at a certain point, there’s 160 clients, and they’re all growing.
And then it just flipped. But it seemed like overnight, but it was really, you know what I mean? It was like from age 15 to age 25 of just relentless and it flipped. Right? So it’s going to flip. I remember when Steve started getting more mortgages in like a day, more inquiries in a day than we were getting in a week.
And then it was more in a week. You know what I mean? You start to get that momentum. Aaron, I remember with Shaw, it was like, you know, we used to sell 14 million a year and we just sold 10 million this month. It was like a momentum, momentum thing. Okay?
And you got to, you got to keep pushing because momentum, momentum, momentum, keep pushing, keep playing. Here we go. Now he’s got the momentum. Now it’s easy. Now he’s got to finish him off. There we go.
There it is. And that’s usually what happens here. A lot of you. A lot of you come to me and you say, I’m going to be your next success story. Give me one year. I’ll be here.
And where’s Greg? Greg, come up here. Greg. Greg, you’re getting a Tebow helmet today, Greg. Can you go get the Denver Broncos Tebow helmet for Greg? Because Greg’s there.
He’s doing it. Let’s hear it for Greg. I’m giving away some from a drawing, but Greg, Greg, you’ve been getting your ass kicked for 20 consecutive years. That’s why he feels that way. That’s why he sounds like he chain smokes. He’s been getting his ass kicked for 20 consecutive years.
But Greg, you’re in a momentum phase now. Talk about it. First of all, can I say thank you for letting me be up here on stage with incredible caliber people like Steve Carrington. The sarcasm and the sincerity at the same time is incredible. I guess I thought when I came here, you give him money, and suddenly your business goes poof, and you make money, and you’re good. It doesn’t really work like that.
You have to work. And I’m telling you now, we have sat in the parking lot, tears running down our face coming into a meeting like, what are we going to do today? I just I don’t know what to do. All I know the whole time was do not quit ever. When you quit, it’s over. Now, Joe, we got a Broncos helmet for you, Aaron.
We got a Broncos helmet for Joe. Bring up and just bring up Joe. This is your son. He’s back. Come on. Come on.
Come on up here. Now, you and your son have been in the trenches together, right? You’ve been kicking some ass together, you two? He has been next to us every inch of the way. He just doesn’t… And when your son sees you kick ass, what does it do for you when you see your dad keep going?
Keep going, give up, keep going. To me, it’s awesome, because you’ve got momentum now. And then how many people were slightly inspired this weekend by hearing this story? You know? So you’re becoming a success story. But now it’s fun because now I’m talking to Greg and Greg’s like, I can’t keep up with all these quotes.
All these people are calling me. I’m like, oh, what a sad story. I called my wife one day last week and I said, did you get the thing mailed out? We were supposed to do the insurance thing and whatnot. She goes, I have no time to do anything because the phone won’t stop ringing. That’s rich guy problems. Now, pretty soon, Greg will be at our next conference being like, I just have a problem with life balance.
I don’t know what to do with all my money. I’m burning it to heat my house, you know. So, when you have a problem… though what it does is it encourages other people make sense and it Wow’s your customer so I want to give you guys both helmets let’s hear it for Greg and Joe great job you’re doing it let’s hear for Carter Carter come up here Now, Carter has been a big part of this. Carter, you’ve been harassing Greg for multiple years. Let’s talk about it.
What’s it been like harassing these two for multiple years? What’s it like? What’s it like, Carter? It’s honestly, it’s super, super repetitive, and it’s getting stuck on the same thing over and over and over. Incredibly boring. Yeah, but it works, right?
Doesn’t it work? All right. So we’re gonna do it before we give away our drawing. Can we do a group photo with Greg and Carter and everybody? Can we do a group photo? Can we do that?
Okay. Where’s Andrew? Is he around here somewhere? Or somebody with a camera? Let’s kind of gather. We’re gonna do a group photo.
And the way the group photo works is I want everybody in the photo, because everybody’s important. So can we all kind of squeeze in? Can we do that? Because I want to get you in the photo. So we’re all gonna face this way. We’re facing towards me, okay?
But I want you to get in the photo. So we can all squeeze in here. If you’re in the upper deck, maybe squeeze in a little bit. It’d be great. And Havana, you want to get in the photo? You want to get in the photo?
Can you come on down here and get in the photo? Okay, we’re all getting the photo. And then let’s get Sprill up here. Let’s get Jamie in here. And by the way, if you beat Cancer, you get to be in the front row. Oh, there she is.
Okay. There you go. Okay. Everybody squeeze in. And because we have tables, we got to kind of squeeze in. And I want everyone to get in here.
So, Andrew, you can all kind of direct, okay? And let’s get maybe, Andrew, if you need a ladder or a chair or a chair and a ladder. Let’s all squeeze in here. Need a ladder? James do we have a ladder or a chair or maybe a very tall and strong man we can stand on I want everyone in here because everyone’s important because some of you guys in this photo will be the next success story it’s gonna happen we’re in there okay and Andrew tell us how we’re doing and be honest with us if we need to move in a little bit okay I think we’re getting there there’s my daughter there she is hey how are you doing okay we’re all getting in there Andrew we’re going wide lens or we’re you think here?
Is that? Squeeze, we’re squeezing in. And if you’re in the front row, I think we need to get down on a knee, don’t we? If you’re in the front, is that a knee thing? Andrew, are we good? We’re gonna all get in with you guys.
Okay, we’re good there? Anybody missing? Anybody in the upper deck? We can’t see your upper deck. How’s the upper deck going? Upper deck’s good?
What about this wonderful lady in the back here with this beautiful man from Mississippi? Can you get up here? Will you come up? You and your wife came all the way from Mississippi. Rouge, get in here. Come on.
You guys, if you’re from Mississippi, come up to the front row. We need you up here. Come on. Come on up here. You guys, I caught you two making out back there. These guys have been married for 26 years, I think.
They’re still making out back there. Come on up here. Come on up here. Let’s get you in here. OK, we’re getting you in there. Are you OK with being up here?
OK, we’ll squeeze it. OK. We’ll pretend. Everybody squeeze in. We all good? We good?
Okay. Yeah. Okay. We got it? We got it? Hopefully we got you some nominations, too, so we hope we got you.
Okay. We’re good? Okay. We’re hopping in here. Okay. I’m sneaking in here.
Here we go. All right. We’ll do three photos. Andrew, count us off. Ready? Now we’re gonna do kind of a crazy photo.
Great energy. Okay, folks? On the count of three. Here we go. Three, two, one. Okay.
Got it? You got it? Well, let’s do one more. One more just in case something weird happened. Here we go. Three, two, one.
Thank you, Andrew. OK, let’s hear it for Andrew. Great job, Andrew. Now we’re going to give away some stuff here. Great job, Greg. Great job, Greg.
Can I say one thing real quick, please? Yeah, go for it, Greg. There is zero chance I would be standing here doing anything, running business, making one dime without my wife and my daughter. They’re at home today working. So they’re as much part of the team, probably. She’s probably cooking, doing laundry, and insurance all at the same time.
Greg, they call Michael Jordan the earnest. Steve wants to call you the MVPness, but we won’t let him do it. Thank you Steve, not the least bit surprised. Let’s give away a Patriots helmet. Do we have the names here? And let’s bring up Leah, Leah Calvert.
Come on up here, Leah. I’m gonna have you draw a name. Again, Leah, she lost her husband, reached out to, she hadn’t stopped, didn’t quit. How many were inspired by Leah’s story? I mean, she’s doing it. Great lady.
Let’s hear it for Leah. Okay. Leah, let you draw. We got some great music going here. Somebody has a lot of entries. Here we go.
You’re gonna pick a winner. Don’t look. Pick a winner. No eyes. Everybody, drum roll please. Here we go.
Drum roll. Jesse Flores. Where’s Jesse? Woo! Come on up here, sir. Get your helmet.
Get your helmet. Come on up here. Jesse? OK, pull it down real good. That’s Jesse Flores. Jesse?
Yes, right here. I think the tradition is you put the helmet on, then Steve hits you. Is that how that works? Yes. No, I’m just kidding. OK.
So you got your own helmet here. Let’s hear it for Jesse. Let’s hear it for Jesse. Woo! Jesse, what do you do? What’s your business?
Fabricator. Let’s get the mic to Jesse real quick. Jesse, what do you do? Where are you from, sir? You’re from Houston, Texas? Houston.
And kind of eat the mic real quick from that line. You’re from Houston, Texas? Yes, sir. How’d you hear about us? Nathan Boyles. Nathan Boyles.
So you told about, OK, you guys are friends? OK. And hopefully you can use that helmet. You put that on the way home. Safety first. On the way home, you can wear that while driving.
And we’re on. Did you have fun? Was it OK? Yes, sir. Have you been here before? Was this the first time?
He hates the Patriots. What’s that? I think he hates the Patriots. That’s good. Is this your first time coming to a conference? Yes, sir.
OK. Well, I’m so glad you guys are here. Thank you so much. Let’s hear it for Jesse. Great job, Jesse. Thanks a lot, brother.
Appreciate it. OK. One more helmet to give away, and we got a book here. Leah is kind of our Barker beauty. Here we go. We’re giving away a signed Tim Tebow book.
Mission Possible. By the way, great book, great book, Mission Possible. Okay, here we go. And we’re doing it. Here we go, Sean. Drum roll, please.
It’s Sonja Hockett. Who’s that? Oh, right here, yeah. Come on down. What’s the name? Sonja Hockett.
Sonja Hockett. Sonja Hockett, come on down. You are a winner, winner. Here you go. And Sonya, how did you hear about the conference? Let’s pull down the music real quick.
How’d you hear about the conference? You did? Oh, I’m sorry. We were sold out. That’s good marketing, but sorry we’re sold out. Okay.
Did you have fun? Was it okay? Yeah. What do you do when you’re not here? So I’m a pharmacist. Don’t hold that against me. I’m a health coach or health consultant, and I have a company called wellnesswayswithaz .
com. And I focus on detox, de -drug, and re -nourish. Get rid of the bad stuff. Where’s home for you? Where’s home again? I was going to say Houston, but it’s really College Station, Texas.
So close. OK. Let’s hear for Sonja. Thank you, Sonja. We really appreciate it. OK.
Got one more helmet. OK? All right. One more winner. One more. Here we go.
This is for the Jets helmet. OK. Here we go. Did people like the Jets? Yeah, they did. Yeah.
Oh. Here we go. And here we go. One more. We got some music ready. Sonja, you ready?
Hayley Davis. Haley Davis, come on down. Yes, gentlemen. OK. All right. Let’s hear for Haley Davis.
Haley Davis. Yes. Here we go. And Haley, let’s find out where Haley’s from. Haley Davis. I think you guys are from Coeur d ‘Alene.
Is that right? Haley Davis, where are you from? How did you hear about this conference? Did you have an OK time? Was it good? Was it OK?
Was it terrible? Amazing. Did you have fun? Oh, yeah. Did you learn anything? How did you guys hear about the conference?
I’m always curious. Reawaken? Okay, every once in a while someone says, poor life choices. That’s how I found out. Okay, let’s hear it one more time for our incredible winner. Thank you for being here.
Appreciate you. Thank you so much. Okay, and then housekeeping notes, and I’m done here harassing you guys. Please make sure if you met somebody this weekend, exchange numbers, you know? Build some friends, exchange some phone numbers. And then we do these about once a quarter.
Robert Kiyosaki, I believe, will be joining us this winter, probably November or December. I don’t have a date yet. And then we have a one -day business conference on June 18th. So June 18th, we have a one -day One day, it’s June 18th, because we have the reawaken on June 19th and 20th. And so one day before the reawaken, we have a business conference. The business conference will be here.
The reawaken will be at Sheridan Church. And I want to thank all the teammates. We have great people filming. Thank you, Jackie. Thank you, Valerie. Thank you, Natalie.
Let’s hear it for all the team. Thank you, Rouge. Thank you, Robert. Thank you, McKenna. Thank you, James. Whatever, Dallas.
Just kidding. Thank you, McKenna. You guys are doing an awesome job. Thanks for all the team. And if you want to schedule a 13 -point assessment, James is here to do that. If you haven’t left us a review, Sean, if you can pull it up.
Even if it’s a bad review. Someone left me a pretty harsh review this morning. That was good. That’s good. That was good. Felt good.
That nut kick is what I needed. So if you can leave a review, just go to Thrive Time Show. Just look up Thrive Time Show in the word Tulsa. Just leave us an objective review. That’s great. Any review is great.
And we like to end every event with a boom, because boom stands for big, overwhelming, optimistic momentum. And I don’t care how much you learn, if you don’t bring big, overwhelming, optimistic momentum to your office, to your business, it’s not gonna work. You gotta bring big, overwhelming, optimistic momentum. I put boom up there, I put boom everywhere, I say it a lot, hopefully it catches on. We’re gonna end with a boom, okay? So here we go.
Three, two, one, boom! See you next time, have a good day. Hey, and I’m drawing names for people that didn’t win anything. But that Clay Clark, man, he is one character. That’s a good word for him, character. Yeah, that is it.
Good, driven, smart, and I’ve never met a guy who was so hyper all the time. He’s doing so much good. And then I met his mother, and she just says, She just lets him be Clay Clark. I mean, so he’s endorsed by his mother and he’s doing magnificent work. So it was great meeting you out there and all the people that he surrounds himself with. His Clay Clark starts his days at five o ‘clock in the morning.
Oh, it’s incredible. Yeah. He’s he’s like he’s he’s a machine. He’s a machine. But his you know, I got I have problems with my company starting at nine o ‘clock. Yes.
Hundreds of people showing up at five a . m. in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Man, he’s a leader of a leader. He’s a fantastic young man. No, he is.
He is. He also has this wealth of knowledge. He’s worked with so many different companies and different businesses. He could take a concept that he’s used before in the past with somebody in a totally different industry and see how it would work perfectly for you in whatever niche market you’re in or whatever type of service you’re providing. And so his brain is just a wealth of knowledge. And just to have that type of perspective as a part of your team and your own company is huge and super valuable.
So I would definitely encourage people to use him. But one thing is you’ve got to be coachable. You’ve got to be wanting to get feedback. You’ve got to be wanting to really grow your company. You’ve got to want to put that extra 10 hours a week to working on your business and not just in your business. And so, yes, I would recommend it to anybody who’s wanting to grow their company and provide great systems, checklists, workflows, great encouragement.
and have accountability. Hi, I’m Aaron Antis with Shaw Homes. I first heard about Clay through a mortgage lender here in town who had told me what a great job he had been doing for them and I actually noticed he was driving a Lamborghini all of a sudden so I was willing to listen. In my career, I’ve sold a little over $800 million in real estate. So honestly, I thought I kind of knew everything about marketing and homes. And then I met Clay, and my perception of what I knew and what I could do definitely changed.
After doing $800 million in sales over a 15 -year career, I really thought I knew what I was doing. I’ve been managing a large team of salespeople for the last 10 years here with Shaw Homes. And, I mean, we’ve been a company that’s been in business for 35 years. We’ve become one of the largest builders in the Tulsa area, and that was without Clay. So when I came to know Clay, I really thought, man, there’s not much more I need to know, but I’m willing to listen. The interesting thing is our internet leads from our website has actually, in a four -month period of time, has gone from somewhere around 10 to 15 leads in a month to 180 internet leads in a month.
Just from the few things that he’s shown us how to implement that I honestly probably never would have come up with on my own. So I got a lot of good things to say about the system that Clay put in place with us. And it’s just been an incredible experience. I am very glad that we met and had the opportunity to work with Clay. So the interaction with the team and with Clay on a weekly basis is honestly very enlightening.
One of the things that I love about Clay’s perspective on things is that he doesn’t come from my industry. He’s not somebody who’s in the home building industry. I’ve listened to all the experts in my field. Our company has paid for me to go to seminars, international builder shows, all kinds of places where I’ve had the opportunity to learn from the experts in my industry. But the thing that I found working with Clay is that he comes from such a broad spectrum of working with so many different types of businesses that he has a perspective that’s difficult for me to gain because I get so entrenched in what I do, I’m not paying attention to what other leading industry experts are doing. And Clay really brings that perspective for me.
It is very valuable time every week when I get that hour with him. From my perspective, the reason that any business owner who’s thinking about hooking up with Thrive needs to definitely consider it is because The results that we’ve gotten in a very short period of time are honestly monumental. It has really exceeded my wildest expectation of what he might be able to do. I came in skeptical because I’m very pragmatic. And as I’ve gone through the process over just a few months, I’ve realized it’s probably one of the best moves we’ve ever made. I think a lot of people probably feel like they don’t need a business or marketing consultant because they maybe are a little bit prideful and like to think they know everything.
I know that’s how I felt coming in. I mean, we’re a big company that’s definitely one of the largest in town. And so we kind of felt like we knew what we were doing. And I think for a lot of people, they let their ego get in the way of listening to somebody that might have a better or different perspective than theirs. I would just really encourage you, if you’re thinking about working with Clay, I mean, the thing is, it’s month to month.
Go give it a try and see what happens. I think in the 35 -year history of Shaw Homes, this is probably the best thing that’s happened to us. And I know if you give them a shot, I think you’ll feel the same way. I know for me, the thing I would have missed out on if I didn’t work with Clay is I would have missed out on literally an 1 ,800 % increase in our internet leads. Going from 10 a month to 180 a month, that would have been a huge financial decision to just decide not to give it a shot. I would absolutely recommend Clay Clark to anybody who’s thinking about working with somebody in marketing.
I would skip over anybody else you were thinking about, and I would go straight to Clay and his team. I guarantee you’re not going to regret it, because we sure haven’t. My name is Danielle Sprick, and I am the founder of D. Sprick Realty Group here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After being a stay -at -home mom for 12 years and my three kids started school and they were in school full time, I was at a crossroads and trying to decide, what do I want to do? My degree and my background is in education, but after being a mom and staying home and all of that, I just didn’t have a passion for it like I once did. My husband suggested real estate.
He’s a home builder, so real estate and home building go hand in hand, and we just rolled with it. I love people. I love working with people. I love the ability to connect. but one thing that was really difficult for me was the business side of things. The processes and the advertising and marketing, I knew that I did not have what I needed to make that what it should be.
So I reached out to Clay at that time and he and his team have been extremely instrumental in helping us build our brand, help market our business, our agents, the homes that we represent. Everything that we do is a direct line from Clay and his team and all that they’ve done for us. We launched our brokerage our real estate brokerage eight months ago. And in that time we’ve gone from myself and one other agent to just this week we signed on our 16th agent. We have been blessed with the fact that we right now have just over 10 million in pending transactions. Three years ago, I never would have even imagined that I would be in this role that I’m in today, building a business, having 16 agents.
But I have to give credit where credit’s due. And Clay and his team and the business coaching that they’ve offered us has been huge. It’s been instrumental in what we’re doing. Don’t ever limit your vision. When you dream big, big things happen. I started a business because I couldn’t work for anyone else.
I do things my way. I do what I think is in the best interest of the patient. I don’t answer to insurance companies. I don’t answer to large corporate organizations. I answer to my patient and that’s it. My thought when I opened my clinic was I can do this all myself.
I don’t need additional outside help in many ways. I mean, I went to medical school. I can do this all myself. this out. But it was a very, very steep learning curve. Within the first six months of opening my clinic, I had a $63 ,000 investment.
I lost multiple employees. Clay helped us weather the storm of some of the things that are just a lot of people experience, especially in the medical world. He was instrumental in helping with the specific written business plans. He’s been instrumental in hiring good quality employees, using the processes that he outlines for getting in good talent, which is extremely difficult. He helped me in securing the business loans. He helped me with web development and search engine optimization.
We’ve been able to really keep a steady stream of clients coming in because they found us on the web. With everything that I encountered, everything that I experienced, I quickly learned it is worth every penny to have someone in your team that can walk you through and even avoid some of the pitfalls that are almost invariable in starting your own business. I’m Dr. Chad Edwards and I own Revolution Health and Wellness Clinic. Clay, my honor, my honor to be on your show and thank you for all you do. I hear the ripple effects from you are good ripple effects, you know what I mean? people rave about what they learned from you.
So congratulations. So we’re pretty excited about that. Pretty much just listening to what they have to say, their hiring process has just really been incredible as far as finding good quality help and just the accountability of meeting up with them weekly. like such good insight, the resources they have for specific business questions. It’s all been really incredible. It’s been a great experience.
So I’d recommend it to anybody. What I’ve seen from Clay and his group at Thrive is they’ll give you a simple system and it’s the simple systems are the ones that people can wrap their brain around. They’re the ones that people can work with on a day to day basis. Hi there, my name is Stephanie Pipkin. I am 24 years old and I own Black River Falls Cleaning Services. We opened in April of 2019 and it is now mid -June of 2020.
So I wanted to talk today about the success and growth I have achieved by implementing the Proven Path with Clay Clark’s team and my business coach, Luke, from Thrive Time. It has been insane, to say the least. I started working with them in mid -February of this year, so we’re about four months in of working together, and it has completely transformed my business in pretty much every facet. So I’m gonna check my notes here. So in four months, my leads have tripled. I was getting probably like two leads a week, now I’m getting more in the like 10 to 15 leads a week.
I have doubled my number of employees. I’m now hitting the highest revenue weeks in the history of the company, week to week it seems like. We went from about six appointments today as our highest in February to now 14 to 15 appointments a day. And hiring quality employees has become much higher. and less stressful by using their systems for hiring. I typically only get maybe two complaints a month, if that, and everybody shows up to work.
I just have really high quality employees now, especially in something people typically consider a high turnover type of work, you know, cleaning houses, cleaning businesses. I have amazing employees now, and I get rid of the ones who are not so amazing and bring on new ones because of, you know, group interviews, and interviewing every single week. It’s just been great and I don’t waste as much time on… low -quality candidates anymore. And your coach will hold you accountable, which I love. Again, the tough love is really great. Luke’s like a stern father figure, but he’s also nice, but also stern when he needs to be when I’m being lazy and not doing the things that I know I need to do because I don’t want to do them.
So that’s just great. Worth every penny. I’d pay him a million dollars a month if I can, and maybe someday I’ll be able to, but I would just say go for it. If it seems like a good fit, just go for it. Do what they say, even if you think it’s stupid or ridiculous, just do what they say because it’ll work. You know, people, when they look at my business, you know, people in my town, they think I’m lucky.
They think I’m just, you know, things just happen for me. And, you know, maybe I am lucky, but it has a lot to do with hard work and, you know, perseverance and, you know, working till you cry sometimes. That’s just being an entrepreneur, which if you’re a business owner, you understand that. But it’s having these systems in place of, you know, of course I’m going to be successful. It’s an absolute because I have all this stuff in the background happening. And I have Luke and Clay and everybody on their team working really hard to make sure that I’m a success.
And I can tell that they are just so excited every single week when I’m having all these wins and things like that. They’re so excited for me. So it just it’s the best thing ever and I would suggest to anybody to work with them So sorry for the long -winded reply But I just had so much to say and I could go on for hours probably about how amazing they are But thank you to clay and Luke and the entire team there everything you guys have done for me And I am so excited to continue to work with you For years to come. Thanks so much for watching My saying is, if it’s important to you, hire a coach. And I think that’s one of the reasons people are not successful is they eat a cheeseburger instead of hiring a coach. You know what I mean?
And so my coach pushes me. They’re younger than me. They push harder. They’re trained. And as my rich dad always said, amateurs don’t have a coach, but professionals always have coaches. So I’ve always had coaches for whatever was important.
My rich dad was one of those persons. I wanted to learn how to play Monopoly in real life, so I used my code.
