Wake up, Oz. There’s Nicholas. Did you have a good sleep? Nicholas Wojcic attacks life with a fierce independence. Nicholas was just that boy that wanted to be normal. Whatever normal is, he just wanted to be like everybody else.

But that is not what he’s been allotted. He’s special. It was a normal family. It’s good. Stay there. Stay there.

Zoom up on you. Yes, there’s something physically different about him, but he’s no different to you or I. I think at that stage of my life, I was almost expecting that I would never get an answer. If you give me arms and legs, awesome. But if there’s something more to this, I’m open to it. So when did you first think, oh, he should be a speaker and he should tell his story?

No, I thought that. I knew. I knew. He decided he’s going to go into the world, start again. G’day, how you doing? I’m Nick.

I just want to share my story with you today. And that’s exactly what he did. There’s going to be some storms in your life. I really believe strongly that God lets us go through these struggles so we can help each other out as well. I want you to believe that you are special and you’ve got a beautiful heart. Despite your disability, you’re full of joy, you’re full of happiness.

Tell them what your hope is, Nick. Well, the world’s about to see Nick and it’ll never be the same again. Imagine if every single person would wake up in the morning and say, I’m just happy to be me. Gee, it’d be a good world, wouldn’t it? Folks, probably, I don’t know, 20 years ago, 15 years ago, my mother -in -law sends me a video featuring a guy with no limbs, but a guy who has no limits on his vision for his life.

And I thought to myself, wow, that’s a powerful story. So I watched the video. It had to have been 15 years ago. It had to have been 15 years ago. It could have been farther than that. I think it was 15 years ago.

And then we were doing a reawaken event with America’s General, General Flynn, and other thought leaders. And I had the pleasure to introduce today’s guest. And I found that sometimes you meet people in real life and you say to yourself, oh, man, that was disappointing. But this guest was actually a real deal in person, the real deal on the video I saw, the real deal in the book form. And he’s sort of a big deal. And he’s super humble about it.

Nick, welcome onto The Thrive Time Show. How are you, sir? really good to see you. I’m doing really well. How are you? Well, I want to deal with some controversy here.

First off, you know, the pronunciation of your last name. There’s people online going, it’s Vujicic. No, it’s Vujicic. It’s Vujenhamer. That’s what it is. It’s Vujenhamer.

Tell everybody, what is the proper pronunciation so we can settle the online controversy? Vujicic, Vujicic. And did you hear about the other controversy that there are some posts out there saying that I’m dead or I’ve got cancer? Have you seen that? Well, I’ve actually seen every kind of AI derivative manipulation story that could possibly have been created about you. And so I’m trying to sort fact from fiction.

When were you first alerted to these videos talking about your death or your sickness? I think it was about three, three and a half weeks ago. And it was so interesting because one of them, AIG, graphics, they gave me a left arm and I’m like, well, that’s a nice wristwatch. But yeah, as someone I once heard said, the reports of me dying have been slightly exaggerated. Now, let me tell you other things I know about you that are powerful and then we’ll get into your new movie here.

But Sean Copeland, Mutual friend, Sean Copeland’s been a mentor in my life since I was 18 years old. So for 28 consecutive years, I’ve known that man. You say, who’s Sean Copeland? Well, Regent Bank. is one of the fastest growing banks in the region in America. But before it was Regent Bank, Sean Copeland was a person who worked at Grand Bank.

And before that, he worked at Citizen Security Bank. He started at the bottom, worked his way up to the top. I met him at the Bixby Chamber of Commerce. Then I found out, what, four or five years ago, you and Sean Copeland have teamed up. Tell everybody out there, what are you doing in the banking space? Yeah, back in 2019, before cancel culture was coined, I actually was debanked from Chase JP Morgan.

And, and it was not a nice experience, to say the least. It was the timing as well, where a friend alerted me of her findings that most large banks that we could research at that time, actually give philanthropically to nonprofits that support abortions, such as Planned Parenthood. And we just didn’t feel good about finding that out. And then I was asked if we could potentially start an alternative, of which I laughed and said, I don’t want to be in the banking space. And then six weeks later, I was canceled out of chase. And so since then, we’ve been actually, we wanted to raise about $80 million

to buy a brick and mortar and we were wanting to see pro -life bank become a reality. We couldn’t raise 80 million. So we pivoted to a fintech. So Regent Bank is a charter sponsor of what we’re calling now pro -life financial which but we are actually gearing up potentially for a raise again for a brick and mortar as we see that that’s really the ticket for being the tip of the spear of a movement and having the full brick and mortar gives us the real control and access in where we’re going and moving forward. And so we’re really excited about that. The new website’s actually back up in two days.

And so we are, We’re very, very thankful for the opportunities to be an alternative for people who do not want to see the stewardship of God’s wealth going to things that are biblically contradictory. Nickvministries . org, that’s where we go. Now, back to how I first heard about you. My mother -in -law says, you’ve got to watch this video. And I feel like hearing you talk makes me feel the way I feel when I read Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.

What am I saying? When I read Mark, I go, man, I could do better. I read Matthew, I think to myself, this Jesus character is really calling me out. When I think about Luke, I think, man, I really need to have some room for improvement here. I mean, the Bible really is convicting, you know, because it’s conflicting. A lot of times we’ll say things out loud, but our actions don’t match our deeds, right?

Octanon verba, actions, not deeds. So we get this cognitive dissonance energy going on. And when you get somebody on the stage who doesn’t have limbs talking about not putting a limit on what God can do with their life. It really is a convicting talk, and you do a great job, though, of missing that feeling of conviction with humor. You’re a very funny speaker, fun speaker.

You really make people laugh. You have a way to connect with audiences. Could you talk about how you went from growing up as a young man without limbs to a professional speaker guy? Look, the short of it is being born in the industry without limbs to a loving mom and dad. is where I want to be, where I begin. My mom and dad always told me as a kid, you’re beautiful, you’re special.

Despite that loving environment and being surrounded by faith, that faith in this loving God was not for me. For about five years, I really was if you will, allergic to this idea of a loving God, when he allows you to be born this way. And I got bullied, I prayed for arms and legs, he didn’t seem real to me. Or if he was real, he was unfair. And so as a kid, I actually planned out my suicide attempt. And at age 10, trying to drown myself, because I was convinced that there was no hope for me nor nor a future.

And I was stopped by one thought. It was seeing my mom and my dad crying at my grave, wishing they could have done something more. And I, at that moment, realized I loved them more than I hated my pain. And so I, by the mercy of God, decided to stay. And at age 13, playing soccer on the field, hurt my little foot, couldn’t walk for three weeks. And that was the first turning point.

To be thankful for what I had, instead of being angry for what I didn’t have. John chapter nine, a man was born blind, no one knew why he was born with that disability. I obviously related to that. And he healed the blind man. But what was really pertinent to me and just the epiphany and revelation was the faith of the blind man.

The blind man could have said, who are you? What do you want? What are you going to do? Tell me the plan, and then I’ll trust you. But the whole revelation on this side of heaven, when you actually realize our purpose on this side of heaven, is to have faith, to actually believe he does have the plan. If he gives me the plan, then I don’t need faith.

I just follow the plan. And so my faith journey began at age 15, realizing that my bigger disability than a limb deficiency was my soul needed saving, my heart needed healing, and my mind needed renewing. And that was the turning point for me. And lastly, to become a speaker, Google’s now saying that I’m the number three motivational speaker in the world, and they’re all 65 and up. And I hold that with fear and trembling. And being able to go on TV to 2 .8 billion people, a billion of which heard the gospel on TV, and meeting 37 presidents.

It actually all started when a janitor at my high school saw me speak, and actually he’s in the documentary as well that we’re releasing this year. And I was a vice president of my high school. He saw me speak and he said, are you a Christian? I said, yes. He said, God’s going to take you all around the world. You’re going to become a speaker.

I laughed at him. I said, speak about what? And we arm wrestled for a bit, and he actually arranged my first speech. And that was the beginning of me now being here in Texas. in my mid 40s, with my beautiful wife, four kids, and that’s the history of Nick Vein Ministries. It’s unbelievable.

And, you know, I heard that you’re putting more and more content into the film form. To me, that was inspiring, because I’ve got a chance to hear you share the story with directly to me as well as to audiences. But I think the power of film is something that really can’t be overstated. So we have nickvfilms . com. That’s the website.

For anybody out there who wants to go to the wrong website, you can go to any other web address at all, in fact. But it’s nickvfilms . com. That’s the right website. Nickvfilms . com.

For anybody curious how to go to the wrong website, just any other website at all. But if you want to go to nickvfilms . com, that’s where you can go. Nick, tell us about the film No Limbs, No Limits. What’s the inspiration for it? And what do you hope to accomplish with this film?

Yeah, look, for the last 25 years I’ve been traveling, and my oldest is 13, and we want Daddy to stay home more often. I’ll go when God says to go and preach the gospel to tens of millions of people. in international doors that are quite wide open in some parts of the world. But we really are focusing in on the media of film. In future, we’ll be doing an animation cartoon character of me, kind of like a C . S.

Lewis Billy Graham meets Mr. Rogers. and just wanting to reach the millions of people without planes and leaving a legacy behind. So film has made an impact to me and many of the people around me of different inspiring stories. And so I’m so blessed to announce that this is a documentary film coming out on the 25th of September this year in 1 ,500 screens. We’re distributed with Fathom Entertainment and Amazon. and working with marketing partners like Gluon.

And we’re so excited. It’s actually filled with interviews of people that made Nick who he is today, including my mom, my brother, my sister, my wife, the janitor and some other people, as well as some never seen before home footage. My mom was actually She’s still alive with us. She’s 60, I’m gonna say in her 60s, and she wouldn’t wanna say how old she is, but she’s still alive. Dad graduated to heaven, but she recorded me as much as possible, just videos of me at home. And there’s a whole side of the story of the family of the Vujicic that people don’t know.

And so this is a raw piece for people to, not just be inspired, but to feel that it’s not just like a, it’s not a fluffy Christian thing, like we really share the depths and moments that that really we believe that the viewers are going to relate to that authentic transparency for their own brokenness and relate to the hope that we could find. And so as well as some very funny parts and some stories that people have never heard. And so we’re really excited about this. It’s coming on the 25th of September. And if there is anyone who, you know, would like to know more about that, yes, go to Nick V Films for that information. And also a crowdfunding page, that information can be seen on screenmission .

com, screenmission . com. And we’re really excited about what we’re doing there on screenmission . com. For people to be a part of it, clay you know um uh you know the sound of hope and the chosen how they engaged a crowd um we’re able to do this thanks to our good works hub partners out there so we think there’s a massive mission field clay called the big screen And so we’re doing now ScreenMission .com. ScreenMission

com. ScreenMission . com. Now, do you prefer for people to go to ScreenMission . com, or do you still want people just headed on over to your house to give out your address? Do you want people just coming over to your house and kind of camping out, kind of that Star Wars energy where people camp out, they dress up like their favorite Star Wars character, and they just camp on your lawn to get ready for the film?

Are you wanting that Star Wars energy, or are we still wanting to go to the website, ScreenMission . com? What’s the best strategy here, sir? Yeah, look, right now, thank you for asking. And I really appreciate that the timing of now is to go to screen mission . com.

And then just follow me on Instagram. And you’ll see all the other announcements where we’ll be able to announce the ticket sales and all those things coming soon. So the actual official announcements are all coming in the next weeks ahead. But right now screen mission . com. Thank you, Clay.

Now, I want to show people what I picture should be happening here. A lot of people are saying, Clay, I want to go to Screen Mission. I want to go there and do what Nick wants. I say, listen, don’t just capitulate. Don’t let him control you, just because he’s likable and diligent and kind. And don’t listen to him.

Listen, folks, you could go here. We could create kind of a homeless encampment kind of look in front of your house. If enough of us get in front of your home and stay there, everybody could bring their tarps and their blankets You want to bring, to get that good feeling, we want to get the shopping cart, we want to get the tarp, we want to get some cardboard. You need a marker as well, a nice marker, thick marker. That’s the look I’m trying to create right here. That’s this.

Look at this. This could be folks. If that happens, I’ll get you all cookies. Is that cool? OK, there it is. Now, again, so this is now let’s talk.

Let’s get practical here. A lot of times, people like yourself, we want to do something to make an impact. And people say, well, I don’t know if I can make a big impact. You know, I’ve got dozens of dollars. Someone else says, I’ve got dozens of thousands of dollars. Someone else says, I’ve got millions.

Someone else says, I’ve got billions. Every once in a while, there’s people that say these things. So if somebody wants to support you, are we asking people to support in some capacity? Is that the idea, we all donate a dollar or more? Or what’s really kind of the ask, and how much do we need to raise in order to get this film where it needs to go and get it far and wide in front of as many people as possible? Yeah, look, just due to some SEC regulatory measures, all I can say is this, go to screenmission .

com and check it out because there are some levels of entry to be a part of this that is pretty doable for most people. And every bit counts. It goes towards production acquisition and marketing and in that. That support helps us to get as many people as possible in the theater seats to never be the same again. You know, we really are burdened, Clay, for, you know, the depression, the anxiety, the thoughts of suicide, with all the addictions of technology and the news bombardment that just doesn’t, you know, it doesn’t let off. This is a piece that we look, it’s PG as well.

It’s a little edgy and it’s real. And we really want families to go out, youth groups to go out, schools to go out. But check out ScreenMission . com because as the Lord leads you, whether it’s little or more, it’s just being a part of something because in the end, Clay, the reason why I’ve done what I’ve done by the mercy of God is he called me to preach the good news to the world. And I’ve done 87 countries, and we’ve seen out of 11 million people in person, 1 .5 million give their life to Jesus. And the reason why I keep on going is because I know that there’s one more person out there that I’m gonna hug in heaven, who’s gonna hug me. I’m going to Africa in a couple weeks, bro.

I’m doing Kenya, Uganda, Namibia, and Zambia through Nick V Ministries, and we’re so excited about it. And it’s just that one more person saying, thank you for coming to my country. Thank you for doing that film. Thank you for writing that book. It was the moment that I realized if God has a plan for a man without arms and legs to be his hands and feet, then God has a plan for me, too. And so this is what we can all be a part of.

And it’s priceless. It’s really priceless. Now, real quick here. I interviewed the founder of Chosen, the Chosen film. I interviewed him on my podcast. And I don’t want to take credit for all of it.

But no, he was on the show. And at the time, he was trying to crowdfund this thing. He’s trying to get, you know, people to buy into the idea, Dallas Jenkins of supporting the chosen film. And so we had him on the show and many other great podcasters interviewed him as well. And it allowed him to remain independent and creative. And it reached a lot of people.

And I’m telling you, folks, when I heard about this idea to me as an entrepreneur, it makes sense. I mean, you get around the Hollywood gatekeepers. It allows you to get direct to the marketplace. there’s so much, it makes sense to me, you know, and so to me, it made sense and a lot to it made sense to a lot of our listeners. And so this idea does make sense. Um, on YouTube, I think we have the official trailer for the film right here.

We can, we can look at the trailer. Um, where else can people go to learn more about the film or where are you wanting to direct people to? If they say, man, I want to get excited about this. I want to share this trailer with some friends of mine. Uh, or maybe we direct them back to the other previous sites, a screen mission . com.

Where, where do we go if we want to get other people fired up? Yep. So thank you for that. In fact, I’ve now just started my own podcast based on the release of this. It’s called No Limbs, No Limits. And that’s on the YouTube official Nick Vujicic official account.

And I actually got to do a debut first interview choice, Dallas Jenkins. And so I actually just interviewed him a couple weeks ago and talked about that, because I wanted to learn from him. How did he do it? And so that was cool. But yes, to answer your question, the trailer and a video greeting from me is at spring mission . com.

And all the information’s there. A couple other questions for you. You know, you have four kids. With your family, I mean, so many people say, Clay, I’ve got arms, I’ve got legs, but I stress out about small things and therefore I can’t write a book. Or I stress out about stuff, I get overwhelmed by life and so therefore I can’t start a business. Or I get emotionally all worked up when I talk to women and therefore I don’t have a girlfriend.

And there’s all these excuses we can make and there’s a lot of, Doctors and scientists and experts that will line up and will validate your excuses and actually will put energy into those excuses and convince you that you’re actually a victor because you’re a victim. It’s a weird deal. We have a culture that somehow celebrates victimness. I don’t quite understand it. People actually become a victor by being the biggest victim. It’s the weirdest societal thing.

What do you say? I mean, how did you meet your wife? How’d you meet her? First, I met her boss, who said, I need you to come to Dallas. I want to interview you and introduce you to a lot of my friends about your ministry. So her former boss, Tammy, brought me to Dallas, and that’s where I met my wife, who was working for Tammy at the time.

And it was love at first sight. I looked at her, she looked at me, I couldn’t feel my legs. So that was April 2010. And it was approximately six or seven months later that we started dating. And then we dated for 12 months, and then engaged for six months. And, you know, that whole balance of needing to make sure that faith and family are number one and number two.

everything else kind of should fall into place here. I’m not saying that life is easy. I’m not saying that I don’t complain anymore. And I’m not saying clay that I don’t get depressed anymore. I still do. And so we all go through ups and downs, but it does make you stronger.

But as long as you lean upon the Lord Jesus Christ and you read your Bible and you keep your marriage, the number one thing in your family, the kids are blessed by it. You know, we’ve had all sorts of things come at us, all kinds of fiery darts at us. You know, when you’re on the front line of God’s army taking over territory or standing in front of the gates of hell and redirecting traffic, on both of those positions, it gets hot. And so we’re thankful that we are stronger through the fire. that we know that miracles will always come through, and that we just got to be obedient with what we have. It’s not about a destination.

It’s not about a season of life that we feel like, Oh, now things are going to get better. We’re here for war. We’re here to make a difference. And especially though, when you are playing the victim card, my parents never allowed me to play the victim card. And I totally agree with you. It is an upside down world in that and it’s wrong.

And to see, though, biblically, what do you do with your weaknesses? What do you do with your anxiety? What do you do with all of that? Well, as an individual, I recommend you read Philippians 4, the whole chapter in the right context, James 1. And as I know who you are, Clay, and you know who I am, You know, I think there are some things that our country as a church, as Christians in this nation, we need to repent of sins. To me, you know, it’s all about where the rubber hits the road and Christians putting their money where their mouth is in regards to this word revival.

I think we’re so self -focused that we’re not really remembering the real revival where we actually don’t have any more homeless veterans in our nation and 23 killing themselves every single day. We don’t have a half a million foster kids waiting for a mommy and a daddy. There are many people that’s talking about prison ministry, but they don’t realize that 80 % of the inmates in every prison in America simply aged out of the foster care system. And so it’s really understanding. Stop playing the victim card.

Stop looking at yourself and see how you can help someone else. Get counseling when you need counseling, but when you get healing and you know the truth, go out there and be the hands and feet. There’s no limit with what God can do with you. Now, final question here, follow -up question here. It’s a limited time we have. I think a lot of our listeners want to know.

You mentioned that you’re the third most requested, or most known, most revered public speaker, according to Google right now. And so I was guessing. I’m trying to think about who are the top two. Who are the top two motivational speakers ahead of you? And I’ll tell you, I mean, I’ve had to guess right now. I’m going to guess Ric Flair.

He’s 77. So that’s, it’s probably Ric Flair. And then number two, it’s probably Steve Stone Cold Austin. He’s 61. He doesn’t look it, but he’s 61. Is that the two speakers ahead of you right now is the number one and two motivational speakers?

Someone look, I felt like I went home one day and said, I wonder, I want to know if I’m on the top 10 list. Someone came up to me and said, do you know that Google says you’re number three? I said, what are you talking about? They said, just Google top motivational speakers. Yeah. Apparently there’s four, four lists that pushes out.

And I think it’s, uh, Tony Robbins, and then there is a Mel Robbins and, um, some other, some other, there’s like lists, but in every list that they showed me, I’m number three somehow. I can tell you this. I’ve never heard of this Tony Robbins character, but I’ve heard of Ric Flair and I’ve heard of Stone, Steve Stone, Colton Austin, modern philosophers, speakers. I mean, Ric Flair coined the phrase. Woo. I mean, think about that.

That’s incredible. So to me, you’re one of the funniest people I’ve ever been interviewed. by in my history, and I don’t know what that looks like, but you’ve made me laugh a lot on this interview. It’s a compensatory skill set. When you don’t have any talent or skill, you use shameless attempts at humor, and that’s what you do. Now, okay, so your, well, if I’ll give you a final word, if people want to get engaged, they want to connect, they want to team up with you, and we’re not allowed to show up at your house, what’s the call to action?

What’s the step you want everyone to take right now? Look, right now, if you want to help us preach the gospel through the ministry, go to nickvministries . org, check it out. If you want to see the trailer of the film and see how you can be a part of something bigger, no limbs, no limits, go to screenmission . com. Clay, you’ve been such a joy to reconnect with, and when I’m ready to do some sit -down comedy coaching classes, I’m coming to you.

Hey, thank you, brother, Nick. I really appreciate you. Again, Nick’s one of the funniest speakers in person. It’s so, you had me laughing so hard in Oklahoma city. It was just, I don’t know. I couldn’t stop.

I just, I’m like, I’m almost crying backstage. So again, thanks for what you do, brother. And we’ll talk to you soon. God bless. Thanks. Bye bye.
