Move #2 – 100% Commit to Your Career and Your Dreams

NOTABLE QUOTABLE – “People always tell you, ‘Be humble. Be humble.’ When was the last time someone told you to be amazing? Be great! Be great! Be awesome! Be awesome!” – Kanye West

Kanye West dropped out of school and moved to another city to pursue his dream.

EXCERPT – “West was not content to be a backroom player. He wanted to be the headline act. But he initially struggled to be taken seriously as a rapper — he lacked the “gangsta” credentials that were prerequisite at the time: he was an arty middle-class kid who wore pink polo shirts and Gucci loafers. He pleaded with Roc-A-Fella records to let him rap, but as co-founder Jay Z later told Time magazine: “We all grew up street guys who had to do whatever we had to do to get by. Then there’s Kanye, who to my knowledge has never hustled a day in his life. I didn’t see how it could work.” West got a similar response from other labels.

“I’d leave meetings crying all the time,” he recalled. With reluctance Damon Dash signed West to Roc-A-Fella in 2002, but he did so mostly to retain him as a producer. That October, as West was driving home from a recording session in a California studio, he was involved in a head-on car collision that left him with a shattered jaw. He wrote and recorded a song about the experience, “Through the Wire,” with his jaw still wired shut following reconstructive surgery. He then wrote much of the rest of his debut album while recuperating in LA. But once the album was complete, it was leaked online. In response, West decided to make it better: he revised and rewrote songs and refined the production, adding stronger drums, gospel choirs and strings (he paid for orchestras out of his own pocket).” https://www.biography.com/people/kanye-west-362922

ACTION STEP –

  1. Become great at something
  2. Commit to your dreams and go all in.

Move #3 – Get and Court Attention at All Cost

NOTABLE QUOTABLE – “I have decided in 2020 to run for president.” – Kanye West

NOTABLE QUOTABLE – “You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.” – Kanye West

Dragon Energy 101 – For those scratching their heads at the concept of “dragon energy,” a scroll through West’s Twitter timeline gives his brief description. Under the words “dragon energy” with an emoji dragon between them, West wrote: “Natural born leaders—Very instinctive—Great foresight. – WHAT IS DRAGON ENERGY? DONALD TRUMP HAS IT, KANYE WEST SAYSNewsweek – http://www.newsweek.com/dragon-energy-donald-trump-kanye-west-901759

Move #4 – Speak in Headlines

NOTABLE QUOTABLE – In his 2004 book, “Trump: How to Get Rich,” Donald Trump wrote: “All of the women on The Apprentice flirted with me – consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.” – https://www.cbsnews.com/pictures/wild-donald-trump-quotes/

NOTABLE QUOTABLE – In a November 1999 New York Times OpEd, in which Maureen Dowd tagged along with Donald Trump as he considered jumping into the 2000 presidential race, the real estate mogul is quoted as saying:

“I think the only difference between me and the other candidates is that I’m more honest and my women are more beautiful.”

Move #5 – Don’t Be Afraid to Fail

1991 – Age 44 – FAIL – Bankruptcy #1 – Trump Taj Mahal Casino

1992 – Age 45 – FAIL – Bankruptcy #2 – Trump Castle Associates – He had to give up half of his ownership in the Plaza Hotel.

2004 – Age 58 – FAIL – Bankruptcy #3 – Trump Hotel and Casino Resorts

PRESS CLIPPINGS – “From mid-1995 to early 2009, Trump served as chairman of Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts (renamed Trump Entertainment Resorts in 2004), and held the CEO title for five years (mid-2000 to mid-2005). During Trump’s 13 years as chairman, the casino empire lost a total of $1.1 billion, twice declared bankruptcy, and wrote down or restructured $1.8 billion in debt. Over the same period, the company paid Trump—essentially Trump paying himself—roughly $82 million by Fortune’s estimates, collected from a dizzying variety of sources spelled out in the company’s proxy filings, as varied as payments for use of Trump’s private plane to fees paid directly Trump for access to his name and marketing expertise.

It’s important to recognize the importance of the casino empire’s role in Trump’s vaunted mid-1990s comeback. At that time, Trump was still struggling financially from his missteps of the late ’80s and early ’90s. The IPO of Trump Hotels was what finally fueled Trump’s comeback, and eventually to his current highly disputed claim that he is now worth over $10 billion. That climb got its start with financing through the offering from individual and institutional investors and bond investors, which in large deals like Trump’s were typically pension funds and insurance companies.” – http://fortune.com/2016/03/10/trump-hotel-casinos-pay-failure/

2009 – Age 63 – FAIL – Bankruptcy #4 – Trump Entertainment Resorts –

Move #6 – Be Memorable or Be Forgotten

EXCERPT – “Leave it to Kanye West to produce one of the most infamous moments in VMAs history before the 2009 show was even an hour old. It happened after Taylor Swift’s victory in the Best Female Video category for “You Belong With Me,” which beat out Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It).” Just moments after Swift accepted the Moonman and began her acceptance speech, West stormed the stage, taking the microphone from Swift to announce Beyoncé deserved the award.

“Thank you so much!” Swift began. “I always dreamed about what it would be like to maybe win one of these someday, but I never actually thought it would have happened. I sing country music so thank you so much for giving me a chance to win a VMA award.”

Before she could continue, West broke in. “Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ll let you finish, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!” Kanye shouted to a mortified Swift and the speechless audience. And as quickly as he ran on stage — MTV cut away to show Pink applauding Taylor, and when they flashed back to Swift, West already had the mic in his hand — he was off, leaving a shocked Swift in his wake.

Everyone at the Radio City Music Hall looked stunned, as the cameras captured an astonished and horrified Beyoncé still in her seat. Soon after, the audience gave a standing ovation in support of Swift. To add insult to injury, after Kanye handed the microphone back to Swift, her time was up, and MTV cut to a video featuring Tracy Morgan and Eminem.” – Kanye West Storms the VMAs Stage During Taylor Swift’s Speech – https://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/kanye-west-storms-the-vmas-stage-during-taylor-swifts-speech-20090913

Move #7 – Surround Yourself with Successful People

Trump Sent Kimye Well-Wishes For Their Big Wedding Day – 2014

EXCERPT – Trump may not have been invited to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding ceremony in 2014, but he did wish the then-newlyweds a happy marriage and said he considers himself to be friends with the couple. “I certainly wish them the best of luck,” he told Extra host Mario Lopez. “I know them well and they’re both very nice people.” – https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/hip-hop/8379659/donald-trump-kanye-west-timeline

“[Voting for Trump] don’t mean that I don’t think that black lives matter; that don’t mean I don’t believe in women’s rights; that don’t mean that I don’t believe in gay marriage, that don’t mean I don’t believe in these things because that was the guy I would’ve voted for,” he said to the crowd. Elsewhere in his speech, West said that “If I would’ve voted, I would’ve voted for Trump,” which caused both “boo’s” and praise to commence.” – https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/hip-hop/8379659/donald-trump-kanye-west-timeline

Kanye Visits Trump at the Trump Towers in NYC – 2016

Shortly after his San Jose Saint Pablo tour stop, West was admitted to the hospital for stress and exhaustion. Days after being hospitalized, the rapper was released and paid a visit to Donald Trump at the Trump Towers, which didn’t sit well with Ye’s peers or fans. “I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues,” West began his now-deleted Twitter rant. “I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues,” he continued. West also said he feels it’s “important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.” – https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/hip-hop/8379659/donald-trump-kanye-west-timeline

Move #8 – Be Intense and Passionate About What You Believe to Be True

NOTABLE QUOTABLE – “I think the big problem this country has is being politically correct. I’ve been challenged by so many people, and I don’t frankly have time for total political correctness. And to be honest with you, this country doesn’t have time either.” – President Donald Trump

NOTABLE QUOTABLE – “‘When you’re the absolute best, you get hated on the most.” – Kanye West

Business Coach | Ask Clay & Z Anything

Audio Transcription

All right. Thrive nation. Welcome back to the thrive time business conferences and business coaching show on your radio. And today we’re talking about be shared dragon energy of president trump and Kanye west. Wait, Whoa, Whoa, whoa. We’re talking about the shared dragon energy of president trump and Kanye west. Now, the show with the thrive time show is all about practical knowledge that you can apply. So I promised during every segment we’re going to give you a nugget of knowledge that you can definitely apply to your life and business. But Chuck, this is probably the weirdest show title we’ve ever had. You said Shared Dragon Energy. These shared a dragon energy. Oh, president trump and Kanye west. So I’d like for you to read the notable quotable from Kanye West. He posted a series of tweets up basically praising President Donald Trump, and he got all sorts of flags and all sorts of all sorts of pushback for celebrating the presidency of Donald J dot trump.

But could you read the Bible quotes, notable quotables from Kanye West that have created such the AAA, a firestorm, such a, a, a stir of emotions here for a lot of people. Can you read the notable quotables did the tweets from Mr Kanye West Dragon Energy. This is going to be almost as good as our business conferences good. This is okay. He said you don’t have to agree with trump, but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought president trump responds. Thank you, Kanye. Very cool. Okay, so let’s talk about the similarities real quick between trump and Kanye west real quick. Okay. Now clay stairs, parents as the millionaire, schoolteacher, turned business coach. And so clay stairs. Um, and have you listened to a lot of Kanye West music? Could you name a Kanye West Song? Not a single. You have the lyrics on your test. Could you, could you name a Kanye West Song? No. Is that a Kanye West Song? Oh, okay. I’ve heard that. This just ends. I’m going to read the similarities between Kanye West and President Donald J dot trump. And I would like for you clay stairs first to weigh in on this, on this concept. And then is it going to be a quote? And then I have to guess who

said it. I’m going to read this similarity. I’ll have you break it down and shut all. Read the chip. I’m going to read the similarity. You break down the next one. Okay. So here’s the, here’s the first similarity. Kanye West is famous for making shocking statements and actions. President trump is famous for making shocking statements and actions, uh, from a business coach perspective, clay stairs. Why do you think that shocking statements and actions actually create better publicity for somebody? Because everybody’s asleep. Everybody is used to the same old, same old, same old status quo. Everybody’s been put to sleep. Every TV show on TV is the same TV show, so shocking knocks people out of their sleep walking and they remember it. Although it may be a far stretch, let’s make this applicable to all the listeners out there who own a business and they’re trying to make an business conferences advertisement that actually is going to get people’s attention.

They want to make an advertisement. It’s going to get the attention and the way that Kanye West’s music does his statements would is when he actually went to the award show and when Taylor Swift got the award, I watched that. He did. He really? Yeah. He rushes the stage and announces that beyonce should have one and so again, talk to me about the importance of if I’m, if I’m a small business owner and very humble, small business owner, why should I make an ad that stands out in the way that Kanye West and present President Donald j dot trump’s actions and statements stand out? Well, just as we were saying, it gets attention at knocks people out of their slumber. It knocks them out of their, their status quo. For instance, our start here book that we’ve got, I mean, it, it looks like a cigarette box, you know, and so it, it shocks people out of it also.

Uh, we’ve got, uh, you know, when I first started doing business conferences speaking, remember me doing the chainsaw? Explain why I let Jane. So now real quick, I want to make sure that listeners get this. The reason why I encouraged clay stairs, he was starting on a speaking career. The reason why I encourage you to use an actual live chainsaw during your Spanish did it, is because you had nothing. Oh yeah. You were a former school teacher with some awards, but you didn’t have testimonials. I didn’t have a prk. You didn’t have referrals. Now you have now you have referrals. You have a people recommending you, you have all the videos of you speaking, you have testimonies. But before you got nothing. I said, Bro, you got to bring the chainsaw and you’re thinking world taking a chance. You can get in that on a plane. So you brought a jail.

Where was this big event? This event was in San Antonio and it was this government group that asked me to come down and talk with them and I said, man, you know, and I got a chance. I’ll still have it in the garage. I did. I’ve heard this story, but I did not know you traveled with the business conferences event. Yeah. One, it was an electrical. It was an electrical tanks out the kitchen. Can’t take the uh, play in how you use the chainsaw as a visual. Yeah. Well, you know, I was talking about personal growth and when I, when I, uh, I, I have a tendency to use, you know, like using my hands to do a circle with my fingers, you know, you do a circle and the circle very good. And then, and then doing concentric circles, showing some circles just like cuts. If you were to cut a tree branch in half, you would have those circles.

So clay and I devised this idea of in the middle of a business conferences speaking event, actually cut a branch in half. So I had, I had the theme music going. There were goggles that went on, there was a hat and gloves and I hit that thing and I mean, uh, you know, wood chips, we’re going everywhere, but they remembered it. Oh Man. Did they still have the video on my website right now? You can still see video during the, during the break. Let’s take the video clip and let’s put it on the show. That’d be good. Maybe. Yeah, but it. But it was this exact principle that you’re talking about here. The shocking thing that people going, oh my gosh, this guy pulled out a check you the chainsaw guy and let’s try it. I am, and let’s put the business conferences notable quotable hear from Seth Goden chip. But Seth Goden the best selling author and marketing expert of the book, the Purple Cow. He says, it’s better to be remembered then to be forgotten. Well, obviously he says it’s better to be remarkable then invisible if you, if you’re not standing out, people are gonna. Forget you. Now, the next notable quotable there, the next, uh, I guess similarity that I’d like for Eric Chupp, the business conferences host to breakdown as Kanye West is famous for attention, for, for getting attention with his intense in polarizing tweets. So he’s famous for writing things that are intense and polarizing coming at ya it. President trump is famous for getting attention with his into intense tweets, tweets. They’re polarizing. They’re intense and polarizing. Both of them are twitter maniacs. They, that they stay in the news, all the things to think about how often you see Kanye West always, and you have no idea what songs he does both. You said both. You had no idea, but I know what songs he does. Yeah, always in the news. Chuck. Talk to me about that intensity that most successful entrepreneurs have and why every successful entrepreneur you’ve been around, why they are polarizing. I’m not saying you endorsed Kanye or, or a president trump. Why are all successful entrepreneurs and tense and polarizing?

Well, intense. You as an entrepreneur, you have to be intense because you got to get stuff done. And in this world, nobody really wants to get stuff done. They want to just talk about it and hope that somebody else does it. So that’s on the intense side. The polarizing aspect is basically polarization gets headlines. Right? Clinically we live in a vanilla world. We do, and if you decide to be chocolate, people will remark about you.

In our business conferences meetings. I make the team members turn their phones off. Yeah, because pretty much the entirety of our meeting is our polarizing ideas. Right. So we got to leave them outside. We have a business owner that has involved. We don’t even come in the room with. I’m just. There are business owners that will, will, will come to our conference that don’t have success. Right? Right. They’re not succeeding and they’ll ask for coaching and I’m going to have to tell them. I’ll have to say rude things like, here’s the deal. Your logo is not inspiring confidence. Look at what do you mean? And I’m like, your logo. It doesn’t look world class. It doesn’t look like does it look like apple? Right? Or Microsoft. Like Samsung. It looks like there’s an eagle holding money surrounded by an American flag. It’s very pixelated. My sister in law, she did that logo right there is a veterans. Here comes the polarizing business conferences statement. I have to say, I really, that is great and you’re a great American and I celebrate your Americanism, but here’s the deal. Your logo is not good.

Well, but like I say, yeah, but it’s what do I need to do?

But it’s polarizing when you are telling people the truth, so you better be funny. According to Lee Cockerell, the former executive vice president of Walt Disney world resorts, he says, if you’re going to be honest, you’d better be funny. So let’s talk about Kanye West here. Kanye West views himself as the best artist of all time, of any generation of any time period. He says, Whoa, by 50 percent, I am more influential than Stanley Kubrick, the Apostle Paul and Picasso f Picasso and Escobar by 50 percent. I’m more influential than any other human being ever. Kanye West, he says that he is more wow, more influential than the Apostle Paul Picasso Escobar and Stanley Kubrick by 50 percent more. Now, President Donald Trump says what? He says, prison. Donald trump’s president. Trump’s views himself as the best real estate tycoon and deal maker in the history of the world. He says, nobody has better respect for the intelligence he does. He says, he says, nobody has better respect for intelligence than Donald Trump, and he goes on to talk about how his intelligence is the supreme intelligence. I got to say,

I don’t know either one of these men, but reading their sentences out of context. Oh yeah, I get it. I’m like, dude, this sounds like a really 50 percent. Fall ball is scientific numbers here. I did a survey, a triple blind study. Humble. I want to hear that

real quick because I don’t want people getting the wrong idea. I was looking at my overall how much impact on making. You know, I was trying to think about who’s the best artist of all time and I realize I’m ain’t the best by 70 percent because I ain’t going to brag. I’m humbled, but I am the best I am. He says he’s more influential than

the Apostle Paul Stanley Kubrick and Picasso by 50 percent. So efficacy and cost. Do you want it? You want to say, okay, so I want to get your take on this here, clay stairs. Good. Talk to me about this. Why is it important that every entrepreneur listening has to have a massive confidence in themselves and why do they have to toot their own horn? Because we know certainly nobody else is going to. Why do you have to at least believe in yourself? Maybe not that much, but why do you have to believe in yourself as an entrepreneur to become successful? Clay, this is one of the biggest things that you and I dealt with is I started out my company that I just coming out of the salaried world, coming out of, uh, of the work mindset. One of the hardest things for me to get over was rejection.

One of the hardest things for me to get over was, oh my gosh, people might not think I’m good enough. And so many of us as entrepreneurs, we tie our identity right into our product and our service. You know, we have a guy who just stepped into the studio here, the man cave to be beyond. This is a Steve Currington. Okay, is he the uh, uh, one of the partners there with total lending concepts? Steve likes curves, Steventon Steve, how do you stack up to the other? How do you stack up to the. Is this Mike on? He tapped the micro quick there. I don’t think your microphone is muted. Oh, okay. Nice. Okay. That’s, and that’s impressive. Okay, so here we go. Steve, how do you stack up to the other mortgage companies out there? How do I stack up versus versus them head to head objectively? One sentence better in every way. Right? Well, because Steve Currington as dragon energy, he drives a Lamborghini and sells mortgages. There’s Lambo genes. If you’re just tuning in, if you’re just tuning in and you’re looking for is irrefutably the number one janitorial service of all times, perhaps more influential than Picasso and Stanley Kubrick and go borrow 50 percent of the classic clean Dot Com, the classic clean dot Com. Thrive business conferrences nation. Welcome back to the thrive time show on your radio. My name is Clay Clark. I’m the former US SBA entrepreneur of the year and today we’re discussing a that I think every single listener can benefit from and that is how to harness the dragon energy. President trump and Kanye west. Now, chuck, can you read the notable quotable, the tweet that made this entire show possible for Mr Kanye West?

He says, you don’t have to agree with trump, but the mob can’t make me not love him. We’re both dragging energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals and we have the right to independent thought.

Now what did president trump a sin in response to the said, thank you Kanye. Very cool. You don’t want. I’m going to do this. I don’t feel it. Can you chuck, could you read it with your, your inner epic voice just so we could really hear this because this was a profound exchange between Mr Kanye West, the award winning wrapper and president. Are we going from the top? Yeah, from the tolerant. You don’t have to agree with trump, but the mob, the mob can’t make me not love. We both. We are both dragging. Interchange. He is my brother. I love everyone and I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals and we have that wrecked independent president. Trump responded. Very cool.

Crap is going on. I got goosebumps reading it. Oh, let’s go in breaking down those business conferences similarities now because it’s a business coaching Meghan, I promise everyone is going to get an action step. Will get applied from egs. Each area we cover, but talk about here this check, this next area is they both want to be president. President trump wanting to be president and Kanye West says he is going to be the next president, so please read. Okay. Notable quotables so and so. Kanye West speaking at the MTV music award. He said he probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 20, 20 to run for president.

That’s Kanye West. Kanye West’s. Okay. Now, what was Donald, what did Donald Trump, Donald Trump has said in the past, I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created. He’s created lots of jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs, president jobs, president that God ever created. Huge, huge. Alright, so this is the business conferences action. This is the action item I think all the listeners should, should take from this. You do have to set big goals because no one wants to work for 70th small goals. So I’m going to start with you clay stairs. When you work with the business coaching client, a lot of times when you first reach out to you, most people don’t look for a break through until they typically are having a breakdown. Yeah. So a lot of times people will say, one of those people will say, you know, I, I, uh, I have a huge goal, bomb blast, the whole thing. So what’s your, what’s your goal? And they’ll say, I want to break even. Yeah. And you’ve got to coach them out of the mindset of barely having enough to just survive. Talked to us about the importance of setting big goals, yet probably clase.

I’ve got to say it’s more than half, but it’s not 90 percent. So let’s just say 70 percent right down the middle, right there in the middle is a people that I speak with on the phone for the first time. I asked them what their goal is. And they actually say, you know, I, I don’t really have a goal. Well, according to Forbes right now, 90 percent of businesses that start fail. Yeah. Uh, all the research that I can find indicates that of the 10 percent that make it, only four percent are actually profitable. So you’re like four percent of business owners were ever profitable. Um, and so that’s not very discouraged, very encouraging. Seventy percent of Americans, according to Forbes, this, Justin, 70 percent of Americans, according to Forbes, hate their jobs. And so, but Kanye West apparently likes his job and, and so does. And so does President Donald J dot trump. And so a chef, I’m going to have you read just a quick overview of who Kanye West is, just kind of fly through some of these specific points so we get to know because a lot of people would say I know the name, but I don’t know what he does. So we’ve got Kanye Omari West, born on June eighth of 1977, which makes him 40 years old.

Oh Wow. That show, these 40 looking good for 40. Okay. I would have thought he’s in his thirties still. So he’s an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur and fashion designer. Fashion designer west first became known as a producer for Rockafella records and the early two thousands producing and co-producing hit singles for artists such as Jay z, ludicrous and Alicia keys.

Oh, well. Okay. Keep going.

Ten on pursuing a solo career as a rapper. West released his debut album, the college dropout. Know Chuck. Point number nine. Point number nine down here. This is a fabulous little fun business conferences factoid.

He has won a total of 21 grammy awards, making him one of the most awarded artists of all time. The most grammy awarded artists of his generation.

I did not know that. Now Kanye West also is a guy who actually went online and told all of his fans that he was deeply in debt and he needed $53,000,000 because he was deeply in debt. He was. He posted that he was owed. He needed to collect. He was in debt. Sorry. He was in debt. Fifty $3,000,000. We put a link to the CNBC article where he says I’m in debt. Fifty $3,000,000. So he started a go fund me account to see if his fans would give them $53,000,000. And then Kim Kardashians went onto twitter and this is what, this is what she posted. She says, I’m busy. I’m busy cashing my $80 million dollar video game check and transferring 53 million into my joint account. So what are they doing? Chip chip, what do you, what do you speculate they’re doing? Because Kanye West right now as a, as an estimated net worth of $145. Million Dollars. You said speculate. What were they doing? What, why did Kanya go online? Do you think they banned bamboozle Allen people. Clay. So he’s saying that, hey,

I, I, uh, I need $53,000,000. I’m starting a go fund me account. I’m in deeply in debt. And then Kim Kardashians is, hey, I’m transferring over $53 million into an account. Why are they doing that day bamboozled with people? Can I to get headlines to get back into the news to see if they can get money? I mean, if somebody willing to give you money, I guess watch Kanye West. Yeah. And trump, they never are out of the headlines for more than 30 days. Right. Ever, ever, ever. Steve, can you talk to me about why some of the videos that you put on facebook are liked the most? What videos do you put on facebook that are like, what videos do you put up where people say, oh, those are what. Because you do a lot of facebook live. What are the ones that are the most liked? The grin that just went across his face was priceless because I toy with it. I think it’s hilarious if I do a positive thing where like a kid has cancer and we’re doing some things to help them and raise money. That doesn’t jump on. We’ll share it or watch it or do anything, but if I put on there that I’m really ticked off at somebody because they’ve missed somebody over, they’ve done this or that or they’ve done whatever.

Oh Man. It’s on fire. It’s on fire. Got One right now that’s on fire. I can’t put out. What’s the one that I fire. What’s the one about? The movie just came out the greatest showman about storing Hugh Jackman. Yeah, huge man. Huge, huge. The movie’s about a Bailey Barnum. Barnum Bailey. Barnum Bailey was the that the equivalent of his generation of Donald J dot trump or Kanye west. He always stayed in the media and if you read his real life people, pet barn, a lot of reasons that were not favorable, but he stayed in the news because he recognized the power of publicity and so if you’re out there and you say, you know what, I recognize the power of publicity and I’m going to let it impact my decisions. Then go to onyx imaging.com. That’s Onyximaging.com for your office in printer supplies. Onyx imaging.com.

All right, thrive nation. Welcome back to the thrive time show on your business conferences radio, and although we do pride ourselves in providing lighting

business school without the BS and practical knowledge that you can’t get in college, sometimes we must interact with the news of the day. And so chip, we’re talking today about the shared dragon energy of president trump and Kanye west. If you read the tweet that made this entire show possible, please,

Kanye tweeted, you don’t have to agree with trump, but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragging energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. Don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought president trump respond. Thank you. Very cool.

Out of the pillows. So what happened is, is that Kanye West public came out and said, hey, I love, I love trump. We have the same energy. What do you like him or not politically with the same energy did. He came out and said he wants to run for president in 20, 20 and I frankly think it’s going to happen. Uh, I think there’s enough people, like example in Oklahoma. Yeah, we just had an election that happened to this past week where you could legalize pot happened and we had a record turnout and they legalized pot people that never vote for any issue at all. They’re all about legalizing pot. Hey, why not? And so Kanye West would be like voting for pot. So everybody’s just going to flood. I’m serious. I’m serious. That’s really his campaign slogan was Kanye West like voting for pot. I’m just saying, I’m just saying if you look up the statistics right now, have you looked this up?

And this is some stuff that a lot of people are gonna struggle to grasp for the first time in American history. More people are not paying taxes that are paying taxes. Don’t understand that there’s more people not paying taxes and paying taxes. You to look at that. Uh, every year, rush limbaugh does a pie chart that shows what percentage of the taxes are being paid by people. There’s a lot of people that are professionally unemployed. Uh, Steve currently coming back or is he in, is he here with us here? Steve, I want to ask you this. Has it blown your mind how many people you’ve interviewed for jobs recently that frankly don’t have a job but don’t want to get a business conferences job? Yeah, it’s a move. They’re trying to figure out how to stay on unemployment longer or how to not be employed so America can now vote for Santa Claus. And so in, in, in Oklahoma we had a vote on election know for, not for the president and not for, but with an election. What do you decide whether you’re going to vote for the legalization of marijuana or not? And we had recommended turnover for medical absence. Right. Shirt. Right. So let me ask you though, did it shock you that we had a record voter turnout

for pot? It didn’t shock me because I was really high at the time. Just kidding. No, no, it seemed like a, it wasn’t shocking, but, um, I, you know, here’s the thing that was my opinion on if I may give my opinion. Sure, please. People will come out for like big, bigger issues like that and I think there is a lot of talk if you have anybody in. I do have lots of people who have families who have kids that have major illnesses. We’re having medicinal marijuana can actually help them and they’re literally traveling to other states to do it. And I’m so for, it was my opinion. It’s inevitable. It’s gonna happen and I think there’s a lot of people that probably shared in that and that’s why you have a lot of people show up for that. But here’s what’s funny about it on the ballot, and I talked to a lot of people last night or the night of the election because it was, there was a lot of um, talk about the other people that are on the ballot and a lot of people didn’t even know what else was on there. I wonder what the breakdown of the balance, like if there’s a study that showed, like if that was the only thing that was filled in and everything else is just like blank. Yeah. Because I think a lot of people just didn’t vote for certain people because they had no idea who it was. That’s what I heard. And then they just, they didn’t know who to vote for because that hadn’t really been covered. But by God, the seven, eight, eight city questioned it.

If Kanye West actually ran for president, I’m telling you, I really do believe he would pick up the majority of the vote. What do you think happens then? Um, I mean, it’s just the same thing with any, any country. If you have a guy like Kanye west who does what he does and he just continued doing what he does, but as president, you would see the, um, the country have some serious issues, but every, every, every. Um, if you look at like Germany, the history of Germany where you look at the history of Rome or any, any democracy or any type of republic, over time, more and more people get on government welfare or assistance that people become lazy. Then they elect a charlatan or somebody who is a, a good at rallying up the masses. And then you see the downfall of that thing, right? But I’m just saying is, I’m not saying the end of the world, I’m just saying that I do believe the majority of people would actually vote for Kanye West. I do think that.

Well, that name recognition alone. Right? Right. Well, that’s all. I mean. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold Schwarzenegger was the governor of California, largely based on name. Right here.

Recognition doesn’t chop. Chop off so many people to define socialism and it’s. Well, it’s just being social, having a lot of friends on facebook. And you want to know something funny? Yeah. I don’t remember the guy’s name, but I definitely voted for a guy because he had like a famous business conferences sounding name. I had no idea. So for all the listeners out there who don’t really know a lot about Donald j dot trump, a chip. I’m going to read off to you quick highlights about President Donald J dot trump. President Donald John Trump was born June 14th, 1946. They have close birthdays which makes him 72 years old. He’s the 45th and current president of the United States in office since January 20th, 2017, uh, before entering politics. He was a businessman and a television personality. He was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens and received an economics degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of business, which we interviewed Jonah Berger. We did interview Jonah Berger from the wharton business school. Yes, she took charge of his family’s real estate business in 1971, renamed it the trump organization and expanded it into Manhattan. Uh, the CALC. Keep. Keep. I’m gonna. Give you some epic music so that you feel you feel better. You feel oh, go for it. Now, the company built or renovated several skyscrapers, hotels, casinos and golf courses. Trump later started various site ventures including licensing his name for real estate and consumer products. He managed the company until his 2017 inauguration. Co authored several books, including the art of the deal or diddy. He also owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 all the way to 19 years later in 2015, and he produced and hosted the game show the apprentice from 2003 to 2015 according to March 2018 estimates by Forbes. He is the world’s 766th richest person with a net worth

and what? What trump and Kanye both do is both of these guys, they felt they’d both, both these men, they’d focus on creating excellence in their niche. You otherwise you wouldn’t know who they are. You would have no idea who they are if they weren’t really, really good at something. And so we come back from the break. We’re gonna talk about the importance of being really great at something great because nobody wants to hear the political opinions of somebody who’s not great at something, right? So if you’re not a great rapper, not a great producer, not not great at real estate, nobody cares. I think a lot of people want to start sharing their worldview before any buddy care. I think everybody does and if you’re so if you’re out there right now and you say, I want to, I want people to listen to what I’m saying, then you got to build a platform first and one guy who I feel like has done a great job to build a successful company which has given him the ability to speak into the lives of a lot of people is Paul Hood with hood CPA. all right. Thrive nation. Welcome back to the thrive time show on your radio. We’re today we’re discussing this shared at dragon energy of President Donald J dot trump. And Kanye West for anybody just tuning in. Chuck, can you share with us the tweet from Mr Kanye West that unleashed this conversation? Yeah. Kanye tweeted, you don’t have to agree with trump, but the mob can’t make me not love him.

Can’t make me not love you. Okay. We are both dragon. Redo it. Chop.

Come on in here. So sorry business conferences listeners, you don’t have to agree with trump, but the mob can’t make me not loving. We are both dragging energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent branch. President trump then responded. Thank you. Kanye. Very cool.

So it’s the exchange that, that set off this entire show today. So, uh, now again, you wouldn’t know Donald j dot trump’s name or connie’s name if they weren’t great at something. A Kanye, you know, one of her 20 grammy’s because he’s very, very good at what he does. Making music and production and hip hop and double j trump is a billionaire. Whether you agree with how he became billy or not, the point is he’s had a lot of success and so here’s the first teaching point. The action item I want to share with all the listeners out there. Move Number one, if you want to make a big impact on the planet, you must focus on being excellent at something. Something just one thing you gotta focus on creating. Excellent. She had to be good at one thing. You must focus on dominating. One thing.

Chef, can you read the notable quotable from Steve Martin? The award winning comedian who was sharing kind of his business conferences interaction with with potential would be comedians. There are people, people who want to be famous and went to become top comedians, top top standup comedians or actors. They always come to him and ask him for advice and he kinda was breaking that down during the inner. During an interview. Yeah. He says, nobody ever takes note of my advice because it’s not the answer they wanted to hear. Martin said, what they want to hear is here is how you get an agent. Here’s how you write a script, but I always say be so good they can’t ignore you, Steve Martin. So, and so in 1977. I mean, Kanye West was born on the planet earth, right. But he went on to win a lot of grammys. So this is the part where I want to make sure we’re getting this idea of we’re getting this idea of where Kanye sort of emerged.

He, uh, he moves to Chicago with his mother following his parents divorced at the age three and 1980. He’s three years older than I am, 19 nineties, 13 years old. Uh, his mother gets him a microphone so he decides to just dominate that microphone and he’s on that microphone all the time. Age Seventeen, he actually receives a scholarship to attend the Chicago’s American Academy of art and studied painting before transferring to Chicago State University to major in English literature at the age of 19. He still rapid. So the guy has been on the microphone for now six or seven years in a row and he performs at a place called fat beats. It’s just, it’s a store front. So records kind of thing in green in the Greenwich village in the Chicago area, and I’m going to put the video on the show notes so you can see him, but he gets everyone’s attention because he’s actually a pretty good age.

Twenty two. This is a full nine years after his mother got him a microphone, he formed a group called, uh, the go getters, the group called the go getters, which no one ever knew of because it didn’t do that well. He continues to perform, perform, perform, and he actually does a song for a rapper by the name of gravity for $8,000. He sells us next beat to Jermaine DUPRI. Now Jermaine Dupri was the drummer for Diana Ross. He produced hits for Janet Jackson, a lot of hip hop artists. And that was his first real credit on producing business conferences songs for somebody, a famous. Then he produced a song for Mace back there with a bad boy records and puff daddy. And then he met Kanye West and, and he did a project for his record label called Rockafella records. Now he started producing a lot of songs on Jay z’s blueprint album, but Jay z told him no.

He said, I’m not going to sign you as a rapper. I don’t think you’re the right sound for what we want, which means he’s been working for 12 consecutive years only to be shut down by Jay z. So kanye moved to New York 12 years after discovering hip hop and he commits himself 100 percent to his, to his career and chef. Can you read the notable quotable from Mr Kanye West here or on the. We’re on the year 2001. Yeah. He says, people always tell you, be humble. Be Humble. When was the last time someone told you? Be Amazing. Be Great, be great, be awesome. Be Awesome. Kanye West. So he dropped out of school and he moved to another city, defer to pursue his dream. And this was. This was. This was powerful because West could’ve just taken the rejection from A. could’ve taken the rejection from Kanye West. It could have just moved on, but instead he decides, you know what I am. I believe I can do this. And so can you read the excerpt from biography.com where they explain a Kanye Western, this portion of his life after Jay Z had turned them down?

Yeah. He says West was not content to be a background player. He wanted to be the headline act, but he initially struggled to be taken seriously as a rapper. He lacked the gangsta credentials that were a prerequisite at the time. He was an rd middle class kid who more pink polo shirts and Gucci loafers. He pleaded with Rockefeller come out now, let him rap. But as a cofounder, jc later told Time magazine. We all grew up street. The guys who had to do whatever we had to do to get by. Then there’s Kanye who to my knowledge, has never hustled with Dan is I didn’t see how it would, how it could work. West got a similar response from other labels, says I leave meetings crying all the time. He recalled with reluctance. Damon Dash signed to Rockafella in 2000, but he did sell mostly to retain them. As a producer. That October is West, was driving home from a recording session in California studio. He was involved in a head on car collision that left him with a shattered job, which is sounds like he wrote and recorded a song about the business conferences experience through the wire because was just still wired shut. Following reconstructive surgery. You can wrote much of the rest of this debut album while recuperating in la, but once the album was completed, it was leaked online in response, less decided to make it better be revised. We wrote songs and refined the production, adding strong drums, gospel choirs, and streets paid for boards to make this happen. So all of a sudden,

Kanye West, who is, who has been denied multiple times for, we’re talking about is this, this is 2002 now. Okay, so he’s 26. He’s been doing this thing for 13 consecutive years. Ship. How many people do you know are willing to grind it? Something for 13 consecutive years with really no positive feedback? Literally almost nobody. And that is why today, you know the name, Kanye West. So recently he did an interview with tmz where he explained his political views about Donald j dot trump and love him or hate him. The reason why you know his name is because he is excellent at something. So I would encourage all the listeners out there to think about what are you excellent at, what’s going to give you your platform to escape from the norm. Now, the interview with Kanye West, a little excerpt from t, m, z.

it’s the mob. The mob tries to tell you what to think. The mom tries to make all blacks being Democrats to, for food stamps. And so it’s the mop like, and by the way, you’re just talking to the emotion, you know, when you get candace asked her, she’s going to drop you the facts. This bit of Kit, if you asked a kid that stood in Tiananmen Square, um, uh, in front of the tank, why he did it, he might not be able to explain that. But you can’t diminish that moment if I can’t give you the direct explanation. But that kid had a righteous point of business conferences view that he really believed in. And that’s why he was standing in my point of view is free thought. Now if you want to ask me, I don’t have extremely strong political opinions. You can talk to John Legend if you want some political. I’ve never been into politics whether we agree or not with the political views of Kanye West or the lack of political views of Kanye West or the political views of President Donald j trump, or the lack of political views of President Donald J trump. The point is you know their name and so the action item for all the listeners out there, it’s become great at something that’s, that’s move number one. Move number two, commit to your career and your dreams. Absolutely. Go all in and we come back from the break. We’re going to talk about the importance of paying attention at all cost. You absolutely have to get the attention. People, if you want to be memorable, and I think a lot of people are scared. Steve. I think a lot of people, a lot of people in the mortgage industry, a lot of people in the dental industry, a lot of photographers are scared to get attention.

They want, they don’t want to be. They’re gonna look unprofessional, but Steve, why is that absolutely going to destroy your career? Because if you, if you fear rejection by default, you will be rejected. Yes. Yeah. You just, you just lose. I mean you can’t. You can never win if you don’t lose a lot. And that’s I think what the story was that you were talking about with Kanye. You know, everybody thinks they see the. We’ve talked about this before, the law of the iceberg and everybody sees above the surface all say success, but they don’t see the foundation of what he built. That’s below the surface of all that stuff that he went.

And if you can’t get rejected, oh, thrive business conferences nation. If you’re looking for a great title Tech Talk, you can adjust your spine and it gets denied. Go to Dr John Sibling Sibley Dot Com. The former chiropractor of choice for Wayne Gretzky, Gretzky and of the holiday. Great. Feel good. Just tuning in. We’re talking today about the shared dragon energy, these shared Dragon Energy Dragon, like a, like a lizard, the dragon, not like a drink. The shared dragon energy of president trump and Kanye west. Now, chuck, can you tee up the notable quotable, the tweet exchange that made this entire show possible? Yes. Kanye tweeted,

you don’t have to agree with trump, but that mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother and I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. We have the right independent president. Trump respond. Thank you, Kanye. Very cool.

So these guys are going back and forth on twitter. And whether you love trump or hate trump, you’d love Kanye. Kanye, you know, they’re both good business conferences tweets, so I’m, I’m, I’m breaking down the actionable items and the action items you can take, the things you could learn and apply as a result of knowing this exchange. First off, move number one, if you’re going to get a platform to escape from the norm and to be heard, you’ve got to be excellent at something. If you’re, if you’re terrible at everything, no one cares. Okay? So the bottom line is you could, you have all these political views, right? Left Center, whatever. No one cares unless you’re good at something. Move number two, you got 100 percent committed to your own career and your dreams because if Kanye West hadn’t won 21 grammys and trump hadn’t built a billion dollar net worth, you wouldn’t care. Move number three, you’ve got a court attention at all costs. So chip, I’m going to queue up a series of audio and kind of samples or highlights from President Donald j trump from the past 24 months. And I would like for you to respond immediately after hearing them. And then clay stairs. You’re up next. Okay. Because it sounds great. Obviously president trump and Kanye west speak in headlines on purpose, but what I want you guys got to take some notes of some of the more notable quotables that you guys can break.

No, not you. Not You, your organizations. Terrible. Your organization’s terrible. Let’s go. Go ahead. Quiet. Quiet. Go ahead. She’s. She’s asking a question. Don’t be rude. Don’t be rude. Don’t be rude. Not going to give you a quote. I’m not going to give you a question. You are fake news. You want to include the congressional black caucus and the congressional. Well, I would say. What do you want to set up the meeting? Do you want to set up the meeting? No, no, no. Are they friends of yours set up? I know some of them, but I’m sure that’s. Go set up a meeting. I would love to meet with the Black Caucus. I think it’s great and we had the most beautiful piece of chocolate cake that you’ve ever seen and president. She was enjoying it and I was given the message from the generals that the ships are locked and loaded.

Look, he’s a showboat. He’s a grandstander of the FBI, has been in turmoil, you know that. I know that and I love it. People rich or poor, but in those particular positions, I just don’t want a poor person. Does that make sense? Does that make sense? This is a long time ago. Sold his company for a tremendous amount of money and he went out and bought a big yacht and he had a very interesting life. I won’t go anymore than that because your boy scouts, I’m not going to tell you. What should I tell you? Should I tell you, uh, your boy scouts, but you know, life, you know, like North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire and fury, like the business conferences world has never seen this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence on many sides, on many sides. I think there’s blame on both sides and I have no doubt about it. But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides. We will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea. Rocket man is on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime. Now, I hate to tell you Puerto Rico, but you’ve thrown our budget a little out of whack. We’re also praying for the people of Puerto Rico. It’s got to be in tip top, shape.

As bad as that hurricane was, and that was a bad one. That was a big water job ready kept coming in and going back. They could get rid of it.

Have a representative in Congress who they say was here a long time ago. They call her pocahontas little rocket man. Rocket fuel for the American economy is a sick puppy.

Alright, Eric Chupp. We’re teaching the principle that if you’re in business and you’re going to be launching advertisements or you’re going to be trying to court the attention of your ideal and likely buyers, you really do have to court attention at all costs and nobody does it better than President Donald j dot trump or Kanye west. So as you listened to that audio president, Donald j trump from the past 24 months or so, what did you think about those highlights like it or not demand? The way he speaks is part of his own purple business conferences cow. He’s got the hair that things been going, but now that people are. He’s on a world stage. He’s so not normal compared to every other president since the beginning of the presidency. I let him that people can’t help but pay attention and when he states what he believes and with true or not, but whatever. I don’t know. I don’t know what he’s going to say it with conviction. And the one thing that really relates to business is that if, if he perceives somebody is attacking him, if they punch once he’s coming back twice, he’s going to drop the nuclear bomb the first time he can because he’s going to end this and win at a Holocaust and do whatever it takes. And if you are running and growing a business, that does have to be your mentality because if you lose, you’re out of money and you don’t get to be in business anymore. So if somebody is attacking you, follow Donald Trump’s lead and punch them back twice. And

Clay Stares. Business coach. What’s your take on this move? Number three, get in court attention at all costs like Kanye West and Donald j dot trump who shared the same dragon energy. Yeah, I agree. I agree with chupp. I mean the idea that most business owners that, uh, that we have spoken with, that we are coaching, is that a, I don’t want to make ripples, I don’t even. When you begin to ask them, what is your, what is unique about you? What does every single business owner say when you say what they say?

Customer service. Well, we really care. It’s like, no, everybody says that. Right? And not even knowing because not even knowing what our unique thing is. Because then as a business, you know, really prompted me to come out and just do something with you. I don’t want to make a mock company unique and that lamp as one of the top schools in the area. Not only do I include a free hot tub every single purchase of a new home, I will. I will. I will actually be in the hot tub with you to fail the break into polarized. I will celebrate and consummated the building every day. Do you want an ice cream cone? What are you doing in knocked up there? It’s just so many of us first starting out. We just. We don’t want to make those, those ripples. We want people to your stairs. Two Pis, pretty big. Celebrating, celebrating, consummate the building of your new home. He actually said that. Yes. I mean that’s probably not. That’s quite the commission. I think a lot of people don’t feel like they have a purple cow. You have to say the after. You have to say something insane like that, but you don’t.

You can say something that makes sense so it doesn’t have to be. Celebrate a consummate the portraits of your new home by now me to spend the night with you and celebrate. You knew, you knew.

I mean if you don’t even have to do that. Yes, but you do have to get attention. You have to. So what’s the balance? How do you, how do you do it? You think about it, think about it, and you have to jump right over the tech. But he got a job and you got to get your neck snapped. And the Kansas City monk homebuilders were ropes. We hand draw the blueprints. It takes one year. We have a team that will help you to build your.

No, but I don’t think you have to be that crazy. Right? Gotcha. LikeZ  says, one, if you don’t have something, you don’t have a purple cow, find a parade. Frat Hasselhoff builders. We are going to watch the construction of your business conferences home. Like David Hasselhoff watched baywatch drunk and eat a cheeseburger.

No, but you have to stand out though. And I think a lot of people you know are the first to attack Kanye west and trump for saying things they say, but they are known Leica Bernado trump. Trump. Trump puts his name on a building. It fills up and every time conure releases an album, it gets awards. Chuck, can you read these recent notable quotables from Kanye West? I want to read these, these, these three notable quotables in a row so we can react to them. I want Steve Currington to react to them one by one. Rapid fire. You read the notable quotable and then Steve will react after I hit the explosion sound. Are you ready?

Yeah. He doesn’t know these. This is gonna be. Here we go. I haven’t seen notable quotable one. I am God’s vessel, but my greatest pain in life is that I will never be able to see myself performed live. That’s a guy that believes in himself. Notable quotable too. I have decided in 20, 20 to run for president, you will probably win and I will move to Canada. All right. Mugs. You don’t have to agree with trump, but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragging energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals and we have the right to independent thought.

I think that Kanye likes to win and he a guy that wins a lot, respects other business conferences winners, and he must not like everything that trump says, but he knows trump game. Go, going to break. I want to break down. I want to break down. Dragon energy goes those out there and touching their heads at the concept of dragon energy. I call it dragon inner Jay. If you. If you just kind of scroll through west twitter timeline, they’ll give you a brief description, but basically dragon energy is this natural born leader instinct that trump and Kanye both believed that you have to have that kind of energy and I would just say this, I’ve never met somebody who successful. That’s low energy. True. I’ve never seen it. So we stares. What advice would you give for a listener out there who wants to own a business but as naturally low energy and they just refuse to turn on the show when they want to grow a business? Yeah. Thanks for asking because clay, I do think that there are so many wake up, bro.

I think there are so many business conferences attendees and business owners out there that are are, are overwhelmed, all they wanted to do. I remember my dad when they started shepherds fold ranch, my dad saying all I wanted to do was have a summer camp for kids and and, and just not knowing how to set himself apart, not knowing how to set things apart. So what I would say, I just want to encourage you guys, if you’re out there wondering how do I set myself apart, how do I do these things that they’re talking about that give us a call, give us a call here at thrive time. Show let us help you come up with ideas on how to set yourself apart because if you view yourself and if you identify yourself as a introvert, low energy person, I just want to make a little bit of money. It’s just going to be harder to make a little bit of money than a lot of money. At the very best. It’s going to be a long, hard road, you know, move number four, the, the. Both trump and Kanye teach through their actions is speaking in headlines. Chip, can you read a notable quotable from Donald J dot trump? One of the ones about the apprentice?

Yeah. He said in his book, trump how to get rich. All of the women on the apprentice flirted with me consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.

Okay. All right. Can you read the next notable quotable that trump said during a 1999 in New York Times op ed piece?

I think the only difference between me and the other candidates is that I’m more honest and my women are more beautiful.

Okay. Jump chip. I think. I think that right there kind of sums it up. Says it all. So I will say this. It’s polarizing and you were talking about it. We’re thinking about it. Love him or hate him. Kanye West and Donald j dot trump are known. So pick through the vomit of today’s show and find the kernel of corn that salvageable and see if you could just dusted off, clean it off, wipe it off and eat it. Just because there are some. There are some spit out the bones, but there is some good meat here and the fish. Yes. Speaking of good fish, speaking of good kernels of corn in the end, the vomit of humanity. Williams contracting. Speaking of, tell the listeners about business conferences client and friend Williams contracting. Well, if you need to add on to your building or build a new building, you need to get ahold of Williams contracting. It’s will-con.com column at nine. One eight, six, eight, two, five, five, one, one or go to will dash [inaudible] dot com for more info and now broadcasting live from the box that rocks. It’s the thrive time business coach radio show,

Welcome back to the thrivetime show on your business conferences radio where today we’re discussing the shared to dragon energy of President Donald j dot trump and the life and times of Mr Kanye West. Now, what we’re going to talk about today wouldn’t even be a topic if it had not been for an exchange of tweets between Mr. President Donald j dot trump and Mr. Kanye west started by initiated by Mr Kanye West. So we’ll start with the notable quotable from Mr Kahn. Yay West via twitter.

You don’t have to agree with trump, but the Mav can’t make me not love him. We’re both dragging energy. He is my brother and I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does with everything everyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. Oh Nice. And we have the right clay stairs to independent thought thrive nation president trump responded. Thank you. Can’t wait. Very cool. You said Conway Conway’s. Thank you, Kanye. Okay, very cool. All right, so we’re breaking down the notable quotables from it kind of be the common denominators that president trump and Kanye west share. Steve, I want to share a move number five with you don’t want to get your take on this. Both men, Kanye West and President Don, Donald J dot trump are not afraid to fail. They just have zero fear of failure and I think that is probably your candor, your absolute candor in all situations and your inability to be afraid to fail. Those are probably my two favorite traits about you where you’re just very, very candid. You’re very direct, very honest all the time and you’re not afraid to fail. Right? Where do you get that from? I have failed a lot and so

I mean I’ve pretty much been about as far down at the bottom as you could probably ever be without being dead. Could you share how far do to the bottom you’ve been? You don’t have to share it. It’s a radio show. She didn’t have to go super far, but if you want to go super far you could probably get better ratings because it’s dragging energy all over the place. Well, let me just speak like not specifically about me, but like what has happened to other people we’ve heard of, I dunno. Say you’re 25 making about a hundred 50 grand a year.

Get really good at methamphetamines. Whoa, whoa. That happened. And then ended up at 140 pounds and in jail. So if you’ll make it like 140 $150,000 a year, you’re like 25,000, 25 years old, you make 150 grand a year. You get a there. We entered into a excited about methamphetamines. You ended up weighing 140 pounds and that, that story is not your story, but it’s a story that some people could relate to.

That’s a hypothetical. Took a guy, might’ve happened to. Again, it’s a metaphor in a parallel universe. There was another guy by the name of Steve Currington. Not you want a different man. Carrington who died, who was a list with one our. Yeah, that could been me, but you know, and then you like, you know, make about 12 grand in the next year and see how that goes for you with the wife and a house in the re. The Fun facts about Donald j trump starting in 1991 as it relates to failing in business.

Oh, I don’t see where it’s at. Oh, come on, jump move number five. Number five. Number five, chuck, come on. Thanks for pre numbered bankruptcy number one, trump Taj Mahal casino 92 at age 45. Fail bankruptcy number two. Trump castle association. The first one was literally the Taj Mahal of bankruptcies. Pretty good. I real quick. I want to, I want to recover from that.

That was good. Hey, real quick. We have an audio clip that can’t. We cannot exactly attribute this to trump. We don’t. We don’t know that he said this, but we believe there’s people within the Taj Mahal Organization that Mike, the room that President Donald j trump was in before he was president. They miked the desk and they said, sir, you’re age 44. You’re headed for bankruptcy. How do you feel, and this is what allegedly the audience, this is allegedly the audio that was recovered from that moment in time, like I picked the wrong, we quit smoking, quit drinking like I picked the wrong business conferences week when I’m fit. Image can do everything for Hva, fail bankruptcy. Number three, trump hotel and casino resorts. Press clippings from mid 1995 to early 2009. Trump’s served as chairman of the trump hotels and casino resorts renamed trump entertainment resorts in 2004 and held the CEO title for five years, mid 2000 to 2000. This is great. This part, I’ll have this part. Trump’s 13 years as chairman. The casino empire lost a total of one point $1,000,000,000 twice, declared bankruptcy and wrote down or restructured one point 8 billion in debt. At least they didn’t have any cash problems over the same period. The companies, the house always wins. If you’re in trump’s house. Over the same period the company paid trump, essentially trump paying himself roughly $82,000,000 by fortunes. Estimates uh, collected from a dizzying variety of sources spelled out in the company’s proxy filings as varied as payments for use of trump’s private plane to fees paid directly to trump for access to his name and marketing expertise in 2009, eight, 63 fail bankruptcy number for trump. Entertainment Resorts.

The man has gone through bankruptcy multiple times. Age Sixty three.

Wow. Wow. So I’d like to say failure is a part of life and business, right? Come on. Certain things, you are going to fail it no matter what. Preach it. The thing I want to say is like if you’re scared to fail, that’s going to cause failure. And if you’re scared to breathe, you’re going to die from. Breathing is a part of life. So you have to breathe. Failure’s a part of business and we teach this at our business conferences. So yeah, mail at some point a daf and just like Steve said, it’s not usually ever as bad as it is in your mind. Like that failure. You’ll be able to pick yourself up. You’ll be able to keep going. So just go for what your dreams are and don’t be scared to fail.

No homies that know me, we come back from the break. We’re going to answer questions from listeners out there who had a real requested paths. They’ve said, I own a company and I want to know the proven path to success. When we come back from the break, we’re going to break down two paths during the next two segments, but before we go to the break, clay stares. Business coach, I want to have you break down. Moved number six. They both Kanye West and Donald j trump use all the time and that’s be memorable or be forgotten. Why is it so important that you must be memorable? What? Why is it so important to as a business owner? Why do you have to be intentional about being memorable with your marketing? Well, again, as you were talking a little bit ago about Seth Goden, if you are not remarkable, you are invisible and to be invisible in the marketplace today is is to simply be caught in the toil, caught in the day, in, day out, go to work, and you’re just on the do.

You make it home and you’re just hoping that there’ll be a break. I want there to be a break. If you’re out there feeling this pressure, if you’re out there waiting for a break, I just want you to know the break is you. You create the break. It’s for you to break through, not to just allow your company to keep you in a mold. So I just want to encourage you to break through the pressure. Whatever you need to do, I would strongly encourage you to get a mentor in your life, somebody that can help you navigate that emotion from where you are now, to where you want to be, and if you’re to surround yourself with successful people, I’d encourage you to surround yourself with a business coach that knows what they’re doing, whether it’s our program or somebody else or join our business conferences.

And for a lot of listeners out there, uh, they enjoy listening to the show. I think a jump because if we have a lot of fun, true. Um, I think because we, we support every we, we, we cite everything we say with, with facts. Also true. But I think another group of people listen because it’s kind of hilarious. It’s hilarious with practical knowledge and what else could you ask for in a radio program? And I think other people say, you know what, I, I want to engage though, I want to reach out to you guys and ask you specific questions about how I can grow my business. So Chuck, uh, it’s rare, but people will, will occasionally, I would say probably 10 times a day will email us their business questions to [email protected]. That’s [email protected]. And we had a member of the thrive nation who emailed us recently about her pilates business or wanting to know more about our business, how to grow, how to grow a successful business.

And so chupp I guess you would look up six, 28, six dash, six point two eight and there’s a business conferences attendee or a owner if reaches out and says, I want to know I, I listen, I’m, I’m at your business conferences. I want to know how do I, how do I make my business successful? And so we’re going to walk a member of the thrive nation through these specific path that she needs to take to grow a successful business of Joni. This one is for you. Step number one, clay stairs wants you to break this down, doc. She needs to optimize her website as soon as possible to make it Google compliant. Why does she have to build a website that’s Google canonically complaint. Why does she have to make it compliant with the Google standards? Well, Google, if anomalous taken clay, give me the exact stat, but it’s like Google controls like 43, 43 percent of the population goes, uses google as a search engine.

Right now, according to all the research we can find out there, over 80 percent of people use google to search for the products and services that are looking for. So there you go. So the thing is google is the one that’s deciding who’s going to be ranked at what level you going to be on page one. You’re going to be on page five. So if Google has these canonical rules and they simply say, if you follow the rules will rank you higher than on the website. Clay stairs, she has to meet. We put on her path. We’ve given this the path to Joanie and Johnny. You can do this. We added to your path. You have to create a no brainer offer I $1 for the first session, clay stairs. Why do you want? Why does she want to have a no brainer on the website? The no brainer is to attract first time visitors to you. Give them a reason to click, gives them a reason to come to you. But again, if you don’t provide a great service, you can go bankrupt. Now, your no brainer. Now Chuck, here’s the next action item that must happen is we got to shoot an about us video. Got To do it on the website. There has to be a video that explains her story. Why does she need a video on her website that explained her story?

Because people need to know who they’re doing business and they like to. They like to like and know these people before they decide to spend their hard earned cash, and so by doing this, you’re showing these people that a, I’m willing to put my own reputation, my face, and my name on this business to tell you I’m going to fulfill this service or product that I promise if you give me money to do, and b, it lets them know that you’re not, you know, maybe not the Walmart of Pele’s. You’re like a local person and people love to know those people that they’re doing business with.

So we’re going to shoot the video for you as a new member of the thrive time coaching a client experience. We’re going to shoot a video for you. We are going to make your website Google canonically compliant for you, but there’s things that you’re going to have to do that don’t involve us. Things that are going to do action items you must be accountable for, that you must take action on. And if you do it, it’s gonna. Change your life. Chuck, why does she need to go to one of the elephant in the room store, specifically the 91st and Yale store to watch the DVD store operate? Why does she need to go there?

Because she’s going to be in a similar transactional service based business and we have how many hours have you spent training those team members on sales and how to greet customers and scripting and everything.

Two hours every week for six years, right?

So she needs to go there because it’s best practice. So learn from mentors, not mistakes, so you could spend all your time making those same sales mistakes where you could go check out how the best practice people are doing it.

Now she needs to create a one sheet that explains to people the three different membership options that are available. She can no longer charge per session if you want to get time freedom with your [inaudible] business. Steve, why do you not want to charge people per session and why would you want to create a one sheet where you give the potential members three specific options?

Well, because you’re directing them to what you want them to do and what you want them to choose. And if you give someone three options, we were just talking about this with a realtor on their, uh, their listing costs, what they did. People are going to choose one of the three. They’re just going to power of suggestion. Yeah. So you can design it. We were just talking to a real estate agent who literally said, Hey, here’s my package. I pick five, six, or it was actually six, seven or eight percent. Well, he lists house at seven percent because everybody doesn’t want to go with the cheap one and they don’t really expect someone. So he ends up getting listed for the highest price that most agents ever get. And the cool thing about the one sheet, that’s where you can draw a distinct comparison between you and your competition or you versus a typical Palati studio, Johnny. So you’re going to want to list out all of the awesome unique features that you have compared to what the other people don’t do.

Clay stairs. The next action item, Joni needs to do it. She needs to get at least two reviews per day. Now she has hundreds of business conferences members, but why does she have to get to Google reviews per day? Objective reviews from real customers every single day. It’s one of the quickest clay. It’s one of the quickest way to build trust with people that don’t know you. If you have a bunch of reviews, I think it’s 80 some percent of the population right now. Trust reviews, as much as they trust a Forbes says 88 percent, 88 percent of the population trust reviews as much as they trust a personal referral. Chuck, can you brag on one of Your Business Coaching clients that has gotten a lot of reviews, google reviews as a result of doing a great job and who’s now growing financially as a result of gathering those reviews?

This. This is somebody who deserves to be bragged on for more than one thing, and that would be restore home health. Oh, come on. Hey, actually catered and smoked barbecue over the conference weekend a couple weeks ago, so larry up there, their administrator, he. He smoked me from 6:00 PM on Friday night all the way until noon on Saturday, so are so good. The thing they’ve done is they’ve gone out and they have now through their five different locations, gotten more google reviews than any other home health company in the state combined. They have 303 google reviews.

Next step, next step. She needs to attend our in person elephant in the room sales training because she, because she’s in Tulsa, she can do this. Steve Currington. What is the value for having one of our clients shadow a sales training that I’m doing or a meeting that I’m running with the team. What was the value of that? Um, it’s invaluable. Millions of dollars. I want to get your tickets.

Ah, I mean, I don’t think that you could put a price on something like that because you can learn something that you can use for the rest of your life through that. Go ahead. Click. Yeah. I think it’s huge to be able to see it actually happening. You can read about it in a book. You can hear the steps, but until you see it, you don’t know. You don’t know what the context is. Yeah, you’ve actually got to see it happening, so you go, okay, this is something that I can follow, but it can be so easy if you’re just reading it to think I. I don’t know how to do that. Now, clay, we’ve got about a minute here for you to share this next tip and why it’s important. Why is it so important that she actually roleplays selling memberships because she’s very good at pilates, but she needs to roleplay selling the memberships. Why does she need to actually role play selling those memberships? Because it’s something new. It’s something new. There are. There are very specific words that you need to say. There are lines that you need to say in specific order and if you don’t role play that with somebody, if you just say, oh, I can figure it out, I can ad Lib it. I promise you it will not happen. As an example, role play this many times. If you travel and you have transmission, oh, back to the issues. Heat and air system, fleet service suspension in alignment issues. It used to be broadcast of with the same with the focus block in like San Quintin. Can I get to the to the for the room was he is in his held pet, the Z and upbeat the scene that was teaching business sales growth plate to see if we both grew up more, but what the goal is to help you sleep.

All right. Thrive nation. Welcome back to the business conferences  thrive time show on your radio. We’re today. We have had a fascinating show. First off, we started breaking down these sheared dragon energy, the mutual dragon energy of both President Donald j trump and Kanye west, and that was a fascinating, a fascinating way to start this way to start the show. But now we’ve had to listeners that have reached out to us and we have a guy by the name of Jonathan that it’s reached out to us and, uh, he is a property management company owner and he wanted to know what is the proven path for growing my property management company. What’s the proven business conferences path? You guys do this all the time? Could you help me? Well, the really neat thing for you, uh, Jonathan to know is that we do this all the time and I absolutely know we have the capacity to help you, but I’m going to walk you through the steps and I brought on some of my friends to help you, uh, understand.

And maybe I’m a bad teacher and maybe you’re a great listener. And so I want to help bridge the gap there. So I’m going to owe not Jonathan tee up the step and I’m going to go around the corner, go around the horn, the horn growth on the table. I’m basically getting the feedback from clay stares, the legendary business coach from Eric Chuck. He’s a business coach with thrive time show.com. Cohost the show and Steve Currington the mortgage, a guru in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Just a regular guy. So here we go. So step number one, you have to determine the number of deals you need to get per week to achieve your goals. Clay stairs. Why do you have to know the actual number of deals you need to get per week to achieve your goal?

Like if, if you don’t know the numbers of deals, you’re just flying blind, you will get trapped in. I just need the next deal, the next deal, the next deal. Scoreboard, right? How do you know? How do you know?

So my company back in the day, epic photography, uh, I knew the number per day and I had on the board and if we didn’t do $20,000 a week of sales, I knew it was a bad week and so that need was a rocket scientist, but we had six days a week we open and so I knew exactly how much sales were to do per day and I broke it down per day and it created that sense of urgency, that sense of like we have to get this done. And it was, it was really easy because you had a lot of other stuff going on. It’s not like you’re spinning every moment in this business. You could walk by the Whiteboard, you could see that, hey, we are not halfway to 20,000 by Wednesday and you knew to immediately go motivate the people. Step number two at shelter, you have to determine the number of rejections you need per week to achieve your goals. Eric, chop, c, h a, P, p two. Why is this so important? This is clay stairs. I’ll throw a punch. It is so important because first of all, listen to it, my man, every business you’re going to get rejected and if you don’t know what you’re shooting for, hey, okay, now I know I need 14 rejections a week to get a deal. You get that 13th rejection and you’re actually excited because you know that due to the math you’re going to get a deal and you’re not just flying blind, just hoping you’re not going to get rejected.

Steve Currington what? Say you. There’s a super cool book and you can get it on audible and if you listen to it, it’s like 45 minutes. Okay, here listen. And it’s called go for no, and it’s super simple. So like a lot of people measure like, well I want to get five sales. I got one. Yes, but if you just go for like 100 no’s, you’ll get five yeses. It’s a mindset. It’s how it goes. Yeah. So a lot like literally like seeking out that next person that’s going to say jumping to like, dude, I’m not buying what you’re selling is a total different mindset.

It’s very, very important that you understand this. We’ve, we’ve helped property management companies before and I’m going to actually or your coach will give you recorded calls that we’ve actually made to people that own a building, own a property on a piece of real estate, and you can hear the calls we made to them and you can hear all the rejection calls and you just have to understand even with a great script, even with great coaching, we were only able to convince two out of a hundred people we we spoke to to set up a council.

It doesn’t work until it does so just get through the nose and you’ll get some yeses.

All right, now step number three, you want to determine why the quality decreased. Why does the quality typically decrease when you get more business? So again, chuck, you want to determine why does the quality typically decrease when you land more business, not you personally. I’m just saying in general, clay stairs, you see this when a client of yours you’re working with, when they began to scale, why does quality by by a nature, this doesn’t have to happen. I mean, quality and quantity are not enemies, but do most businesses

tend to decrease their quality? When they began to grow, the it all has to do with the quality of the business is wrapped up in a person and when that person gets too busy, they just can’t hit all of the marks and so things begin to fall apart because they aren’t set to scale, so more business means setup to fail. Step four, white check. Do we have to design an automated and optimized schedule? They’re there. You can have a schedule where you just sort of react or you can be intentional. Now, if you want to be successful as an entrepreneur, we know as an owner of a property management company, you must have a weekly group interview where you interview candidates and your coach and walk you through the specifics. Do you have to have daily huddles? You have to have a weekly time every week where you look at your financials and you have to ask yourself every week, am I doing what I should be doing? Chuck, why do you have to block out specific times in your schedule? Every week to do these things, well,

first of all, a business creates money, not time, so you have to be super intentional with your time because that’s a limiting rate, limited resource that you have. Okay, and if you don’t plan, these les just said the group interview, the Huddles, all of these things that need to be a rock in your schedule that day to day fires have in the business are going to push you beyond those items and you’re not going to get them done and they will drift and will be six months and you haven’t looked at your numbers so you have to block it out in hell or high water. You do the things on your on your calendar and your to do list.

Jonathan, our podcast is now ranked in the top 20 in the business section on itunes consistently, but in the whole world at a 530,000 plus podcasts, we reached number one on the itunes charts on Friday for about four hours. That being said, one of the most profound things that we have helped contractors and entrepreneurs to do is clay stairs, stuff invoicing as soon as possible. Why do contractors need to stop invoicing and why do they need to? Why? Why do they need to start charging retainers deposits? They need to stop invoice. Yeah, you’re not a bank. Oh, so what you do is you do the work and then you wait for the money and you will kill your cash flow. Cash flow is the blood to your business and without blood you’re going to dive oof. Step number six, Steve Currington. Why does he have to optimize his local google map? Why does every business conferences  owner have to optimize your local google map? This just in Google likes local search results, so if you’re local and you have a lot of reviews, someone goes on Google assistant and says, find a top rated mortgage company like they do with total lending concepts. They will find us because we have more reviews than anybody else and they will find you because you have more reviews and because your google listing is optimized, which is what thrive will do for you.

Next step, you’ve got to get 100 reviews as soon as possible and a minimum at a minimum of 40 reviews before you turn on your ads. Why do you, why do you have to get a minimum of 40 google reviews before you turn on your advertisements and why do you have to get objective sincere? We’ll reviews not reviews. You can buy on Fiverr. You want to get 40 before you turn in your ads because people aren’t going to believe your advertisements if they can’t find other people vouching for you. You can say how awesome you are all day long, but until you have other people vouching for you, your ads are not going to work and it’s a waste of money. Step number, oh, Joe Clay Stares. You must create a Google canonically compliant website. You talk about this everyday with your clients, but in order to get to the top of the top of Google, the four variables must be achieved, and if you can kind of clean it up on the show notes so it looks really sharp right there.

You want to have variable number one, you wanna have the most business conferences reviews to you went to the most google canonical compliance three, the most content for the most mobile compliance placed. Heres why do you have to make your website Google canonically complaint. So Google will like you. Google is the one determining where you don’t want to put a thousand words on my contact. That is just fine if you don’t want to, but Google will not want to put a thousand words of my about us page. That is just fine. You don’t have to, but Google will not put a thousand words. My horizontal navigation bar, we have to. Google has to like us to rank us. So Jonathan just wanna encourage you. These are the key things you need to do. So Google will be able to rank you high. I promise you, in your market you can dominate.

Step nine through 15, your coach is going to walk you, sir, but I’m telling you, as a business coach and client will only take 160 clients on any given time, we are passionate about your success.
