  2. NOTABLE QUOTABLE – “Acronyms Seriously Suck: There is a creeping tendency to use made up acronyms at SpaceX. Excessive use of made up acronyms is a significant impediment to communication and keeping communication good as we grow is incredibly important. Individually, a few acronyms here and there may not seem so bad, but if a thousand people are making these up, over time the result will be a huge glossary that we have to issue to new employees. No one can actually remember all these acronyms and people don’t want to seem dumb in a meeting, so they just sit there in ignorance. This is particularly tough on new employees. That needs to stop immediately or I will take drastic action—I have given enough warnings over the years. Unless an acronym is approved by me, it should not enter the SpaceX glossary. If there is an existing acronym that cannot reasonably be justified, it should be eliminated, as I have requested in the past.” -Elon Musk (An e-mail his sent to his team in May of 2010)

You are now entering the dojo of best business podcasts mojo and the thrive time show kick it. Yes, you can can I kick it? Yes, you can can I kick it? Yes, you can can i. Guess you can. This is click clock on the mic and can my optical castano pinochet and I’m focused on the mission beach, the skills and kitchen the plans broadcasted from advance to the left, to the portland dance to see it, and I’ll be to see it? Yes, that would stick it like batmanwhat time does lifetime show on your radio. My name is chloe clark on the plumber, ussba entrepreneur of the year and I just said. Welcome back or are announcer just said. Welcome back to the dojo. Mojo are announcer just said the epic voice. Guy welcome back to the dojo of best business podcasts mojo. We were talking about what the word dojo means. Do it right now, I’ve ever talked about this, but i. Don’t think so. I me and you were on the show on the show me no i, don’t think so. I mean if I don’t think so no means a space, 4, immersive, learning or meditation know. I’ve talked to talk to you about johnny g, much on the show before I’ve heard about johnny g. A little bit johnny g is a friend of mine. He’s guy invented the spin classthink about this. At one point, eight million americans every morning we’re using the spin class that he created 8 million of people are the time is habit. America a population of 310 million people said probably 1 out of 35 people were using my friend johnny g’s system, johnny g. Look it up there. No johnny g invented the spin class because he found it on a deep, deep level.

Most people wanted to get in shape, but they didn’t have the best business podcasts motivation to do the work needed. So he went and created a dojo of mo jumpers of other and santa barbara santa barbara california. If you haven’t been to santa ana santa barbara before I have been to santa barbara, you have yeah when you go to santa barbara, maybe 6 or 7 years ago, candice and I flew to san francisco and rented a car and took a week to drive all the way down to la down thejust. So santa barbara is absolutely gorgeous a bum. If you have not been to santa barbara it, it has mountains with an ant. An ocean has a population of 91000. People in the population is pretty much flat and turn to visit really grow because it’s unbelievable expensive to live there. So, when I went to santa barbara last time, I was doing interview with a friend of mine named jack in the dell who unfortunately passed away in a d e l jack in the dellview, and look him up and jack in the dell as a he. Basically, he was kind of ahead of his time. After getting out of world war ii, he decided that he’s going to make money by supplying office supplies to companies, and so he killed it.

His next door, neighbor literally one house over over the wall and one has a wall surrounding the property in santa barbara-is eric schmidt, the ceo of google, his next door. Neighbor was eric schmidt up around the corner. If you go around the bend up a little bit, it’s like two blocks up there, there’s oprah winhouse, and if you go down a little bit, you can see. Douglas. Michael did kirk douglas her guy friend. He live there and then jeff bridges woodbine. It’s all these famous actors, celebrities, people that are really really great at what they do all of their and johnny g lives there, and so johnny g realized that the world wasn’t the way he wanted it to be so in the by the way you would be would love it. Like i, just sang this weird that you would absolutely love his best business podcasts  house. I & I in the future, I think you’re going to have all these places, but he did. Is he bought a piece of land that was probably an acre and a half because, like three and a half acres met before it was in a beat-up area of santa barbara nice nurse palm trees? You can’t fake the weather awesome, but it was like landwehr may be used to be a landfill or i. Don’t know if it was like just abandoned vehicles on it or just people dump their trash, but it wasn’t like a piece of land that people they wanted in the best business podcasts neighborhood or something right and what johnny g did is he decided to go out there and to plantboo boo yeah all around the perimeter?

He built the wall and they put bamboo and the bamboo grows really thick, really deep, really green. What happened? As you know, I don’t hear the roads been inside the bamboo plant. All these pine are these:all these are palm trees and he had waterfalls and he actually built dojos and the dojos are a place where he would go to create the atmosphere with which he wanted to think dream create whatever what do you live within the walls of the dojo, and so when I interviewed him, I actually went to his dojo and it was it’s like the most surreal best business podcasts thing ever because there’s like the fountains everywhere, there’s flowing water, there’s there’s palm trees. It’s just three beer in the middle of this bustling city right, but it’s just it’s unbelievable and all I would say is that the word dojo mean to place of learning. So when I say welcome back to the drive time to show on your radio I hope this place. Is your dojo ofi sincerely hope that it is your dojo, your your place of learning now I’m page 65 of the ar book called start here again, it’s amazon best-selling book.

You can buy right now on amazon.Com, where you can download it for free. Actually right now it’s free 93, 390 free. You can download right now at thrivetimeshow.Com we’re talking about the three levels of all successful business systems from page 65 to start here, but we’ve worked with thousands of companies to help them build best business podcasts repeatable systems and processes, but really, if you’re going to build a repeatable system or process can be broken down into three layers, so I’d like for you to do, is I’d like for you to explain to us what the first layer is and explain to us how to do it. Second layer, how to do it 3rd lair had to do it. I trust that you have the skills needed to teach the tribe, nation ezra down to business coach. So we’re one. What do you have your boyfriend there? One is the processes in checklist they’re. So this is the what like? What are we doing? This is the layer that you create as her sister, a very literal. That is the actual script. That is the actual checklist, and so this is the stuff we’re we’re building this while you’re working on your business. This is letter was to be a bathroom cleaning.

As an example, do you want to clean the bathroom clean, the sink clean, the mirrors clean, the toilet, clean the urinal cleaner? It’s just a step by step what we need to do back to you right, so the second layer here is the presentation layer. This is what it looks like. This is how you present the best business podcasts system itself to who’s going to be executing the system right right. So one thing that I’ve learned from you play with with regards to creating a script, is you can’t just be a staple piece of paper? You got to spread that thing out tape it up on the wall, so that people can have access to the entire script at one time, you’re presenting it in a way that they can use it the way it needs to be used absolutely and then layer 3 is this is the. This is why we do it later. So this is explaining, where this puzzle fit into the workflow, how you why you have to do this this way, this is kind of how you’re telling the person the. Why the? Why, behind what we’re trying to do I encourage you out there if you’re, having any struggle to create systems and processes? Listen in here, because it’s a how you doing this is how you do it now layer number 3.

This is the. This is why we do it later chop. Why do you have to explain to people why they have to do something? I think that I don’t know how my view this is just kind of maybe a newer thing, maybe not i, don’t I’m 34 years old, but people want to know why they’re doing things these days so I know that you’re, the kind of best business podcasts guy. That’s just so like just point me in the direction. I’m a bowling ball make sure I’m pointing down the lane and I’ll get it done, but team members employees they don’t typically have that attitude that founders mentality. So you got to let him know why it’s it’s just their. Why to get them into the right frame of mind and I will just give you an example of why and I’ll just use myself as an example. My wife holds out what I believe to be a ridiculously high expectation for what the marriage experience should look like and I mean this. With all due respect, I mean this candidly I mean ridiculous. Is it’s like deserving or inviting best business podcasts mockery? It’s absurd, because she has such high expectations and that’s why I love her, because she has expectations that I should love her like christ loved the church, and she won’t accept anything less than that. My wife wants me to be involved at my wife. Wants me to be somebody that my kids want to grow up to be, like my wife, wants me to love her the way christ loved the church.

My wife wants me to treat her with respect. My wife wants me to hold her hand. My wife would be to open the door for her. My wife wants me to introduce her to people and, if it weren’t for this unbelievably ridiculously high expectation, I wouldn’t do it. I would just by default. Be a man bear pig, and so you say why? Well, what my wife is said, because I want you to be the kind of husband that our son would want to grow up to emulate. I, don’t want him to be well, my dad did it wrong and then I have to do something different. My wife wants might me to be the example for my son. My wife wants me to be the kind of man that my daughters would want to marry and when she told that to me, I want you to be the kind of man that our daughters want to marry of a sudden, I thought. Well, that’s true things. I do well because there’s a lot of things that I was doing that I wouldn’t want my wife. Did it with my kids, their husbands to do such as like a being abnormally abrasive in best business podcasts conversation with people that are not seeking feedback I used to sometimes give unsolicited feedback. People love that to people and I thought I would want my kids their husbands to do that or doing it thanksgiving right or being completely reclusive, not saying hello for days at a time right. These are all manbearpig moves that I’m doing something:fault and I realized super powers for being alone and ostracized by people that are smart. That’s all I’m saying is that you have to understand, explain the y right in front yeah.

For me, business I mean default;it it it. It makes sense, but in marriage, that’s where to learn thing for me. Example would be insulin, there’s a book by gary taubes, and this guy is crazy. He wrote a book called why we get fat. The case against the case against sugar and I’m going to help somebody lose 90 lb, real, quick, I lost 60 pounds in a year as a result of a conversation we had and I’m, not a fitness. I talked to a guy today or lady today, who said her and her husband and started doing the no sugar, no carbs, her husband’s down 40 pounds in a month and a half right, it’s crazy. So what happens? Is I wanna make sure you get this? Is it when the gary tops or the book called the case against sugar? Why we get fat lb of the best business podcasts month and I’m not afraid this guy? This is just I’m just telling you what’s prove it so long story short I keep your name gary top, so I read his books. I want to know why long story short when you eat sugar, it creates an insulin spike in your body’s blood in your body, doesn’t know what to do with it. So it basically begins to store fat. It begins to create that you can get. You get fat look into the science of it. If you eat sugar or carbohydrates, you get fat, but the body uses fat and protein as a source of energy. So long story short, you eat sugar and you eat carbs.

Your body begins to use the sugar and the carbs as energy, but it doesn’t use fat but bring glucose instead right, it’s a long story. Short you get fat when you eat a lot of fat free food when you eat food, that says fat-free ice cream, you get fat, and so I know right now that I know why I go tonight. I’d like to have meat and vegetables will spinach or broccoli or tomorrow we have vegetables too, because that’s what words but I had to know why it’s such a great time, freedom and financial freedom, which means i, need to be doing to stop doing things that use my time. I need to stop doing things. That cost me more best business podcasts money and one way to say both time and money is to use our good friends at onyx. Your free consultation today at drivetime show.Com, alright, tribe, nation, welcome back to the conversation is the drive time show on your radio and they were talking about all about building, business, systems and specifically right now, we’re talking about the three layers needed to build a business system. Chuck blair one is the processes and checklists layer. What does that mean? That’s actually what are we doing and how we’re going to do it later? That’s the scrub, the toilet, then you moved to the sink. Then you do this. It’s the actual process that you’re going to be doing later number to is the presentation layer. What is that? That’s how you present the layer or the checklist for the system? That’s how people see it and how they interact with it number 3. This is why we do what’s that party is here from the west side, I feel so good in my hood tonight. This is the part of the system where you’re, letting the person know who’s who’s, doing the best business podcasts system. Why they’re doing it? What part they play in? Why I need to get done? Okay, but this is doable for people at times they look at the look at the presentation and they don’t get it. If there’s just a lot of words in a lot of taxes like a heart graph and a box, they don’t get it sometimes.

What is this is why we do it as chapters that indicate why people should do it with me throughout nation 2, page 66 of the start here book, which is an amazon best-selling book, but you can download the e-book version of the book and read along with us from page 66 get the book at drivetime, show.Com, download, ebook version today for free. It says the process is liar. Basically, is all about the check this box and do that thing system. It’s all about the processes that your team must follow to produce the given result. Your company is promised to customers example. My super wife has some incredible recipes for creating some organic and fruit based smoothies that my kids love the two times. I follow the recipes I made smoothies in the kids loved, however, the other 994 * that I produce smoothies without using recipes. My kids act like a beast on their tongues and they still talk about how horrible these, for these were. There is a specific and right way to do things in a wrong way to do things. The quote:to quote the r&b pop artist, who has now become a pastor:montell jordan this, is, how, we, do it, my friend, you have to best business podcasts document the super moves that you’ve developed that actually work, that you can be use an acronym acronym, because nobody knows nobody, nobody, nobody, baby, keith sweat in concert just go to any casino cuz he’s either there might look like a metal building of some sort was probably baby

I want to know right, I just meet me at you, I want to give it if it’s keith, sweat I used to pitch the nose and singing look at hazel twisted sing it bni god. Damn that’s keith sweat married. Can you read me the notable quotable here from elon musk, the guy who built tesla variable paypal solarcity, he’s got a thing to say about stop using acronyms he’s, got a very subtle. Take sleeping tendency to use made up acronyms that spacex excessive use of made up acronyms is a significant impediment to communication and keeping communication good as we grow is an incredibly important. Impediment means slow, slow, you down a few acronyms here and there may not seem so bad, but if it’s a thousand best business podcasts people are making up making these up example, there’s a song out. There remember is a kitchen or the song as a kid I mean where the song it’s it’s. It’s it’s lyrically I think this is a song that a lot of people feel like it’s. It’s as one of the songs has harm me with harmony deep drop, a load on them. You know with opp. Is it opb? How can I explain it? I’ll take you frame by frame it. She says to have why y’all jump in xiaomi singing it. As for the other ps4, the people scratching temple the last three. Well, that’s not that simple, it’s sort of like another way to call a cat or kitten its five letters that were missing their. He says you get on occasion at the other party. Has a game in it seems I got to start to explain it bust it and it goes on and on he says yeah. You know me, you know who’s that with opp yeah.

You know me help me pay everybody keep saying what does it stand for what other people’s property right over time glossary that we have to issue to new employee? No one can actually remember all these acronyms and people don’t want to seem dumb in a meeting. What’s will they just sit there? This is particularly tough on new employees that needs to stop immediately or I will take drastic action. I have given enough warnings over the years. Unless an acronym is approved by me, it should not enter the spacex glossary if there is an existing acronym that cannot reasonably be justified. It should be eliminated, as I have requested in the past, signed elon, musk, so I think about best business podcasts acronyms and I think about how,. They are in business in in people feel like an acronym is helping them to become successful faster. But in fact, then acronym is elongated. Converse patient, it’s building mistrust and making it harder to train new people. You’ve got a blow up the acronym. She got to stop messing with those akron. If I’m telling you there’s people out there right now, you’re laughing cuz, you just now googled what opp means and you’re saying to yourself. Oh my gosh guys.
