Speaker 1:
blue boy

Speaker 3:
[inaudible]. Yes, yes, yes.

Speaker 1:
Where there is no vision, the people perish. Proverbs 29 18 where there is no vision, the people perish. I’ll let me read the actual verse two it says where there is no vision, the people perish, but he that keepeth the law happy is he? Proverbs 29 18 what does that have to do with today’s show? Well, I believe where there is no visit them your digital marketing dreams will perish. Where there is no visit. V I. S M V I S M. V stands for video reviews where there are no video reviews. People don’t believe you. Images, you got to add images to your website. S search engine content and M more reviews. You can never have enough reviews. And so we have a man on today’s show and his incredible wife, um, who are sort of the, um, strongest implementers of this outside of, I would say, uh, elephant in the room or Sperl CPA’s up there in Canada and Devin at the conference.

Speaker 1:
You got a chance to meet a lot of our business coaching clients that are having huge wins right now. Oh yeah. Um, and you’ve helped build a lot of their websites. Correct. But let’s talk about this for a second. If I’m out there listening right now and you say, clay, give me an example. Okay, let’s do it. I’m going to do a search right now for, let’s do a search for Tulsa, men’s haircuts. Let’s do a search for Tulsa men’s haircuts. I’m doing a search for it right now. Oh, okay. And let’s do a search right now for Joplin. Jim’s will do a search for those two side by side comparison. Here we go. So you’ve got Joplin gyms and you’ve got Tulsa men’s haircuts. Ah, those were the two search terms. I want everybody to search right now for Tulsa men’s haircuts and do a search for Joplin gyms.

Speaker 1:
All right, so when you search for Tulsa men’s haircuts, why does the elephant in the room, my business come up top twice? Why in the first three results? Why am I to have those results? Oh, that’s a good question. Perhaps if you don’t have a visit them, you don’t have a vision, you don’t show up. People can’t find you. They can’t see you online. Think about this for a second. Well, why do my videos? So you see my, my website comes up on the first two of the three listings. Then underneath that you see Yelp. So I’m three of them. I’m two of the first four. Then I’m another video, another video, and another video. So I have one, two, three, four, five, five of the first seven listings are me. Then there’s another Yelp, and then there’s me. Well, that’s, that’s a lot. That’s six.

Speaker 1:
And then there’s more me, that’s seven. And then there’s, so I’m seven of the first, you know, 12 listings in the search result. Well, why? Because I have a visitor. Now. My job is to make things simple and repeatable that are complex. So somebody out there, Devin might say, well, what books should I read to validate this idea? All right, so Devin, I’m going to do is I’m going to read off the book and I’m going to try and read up nice and slow like a pro, um, as opposed to a super fast, like an ass. And that way the listeners can take notes and find these books. Okay. There’s one book called search engine optimization for dummies, written by Bruce Clay. That’s a great book for everyone to read. He’s not a charlatan. It’s called search engine optimization for dummies for a good time. Read search engine for dummies to read kit rich.

Speaker 1:
Click by Mark Ostrawski. Get rich. Click by Mark Ostrofsky, the only internet marketing book endorsed by Steve Wasniak, the cofounder of Apple, the cofounder of Apple is doing okay financially and he endorses get rich. Click how Google works by Eric Schmidt, how Google works by Eric Schmidt. How Google works by Eric Schmidt. Get that, get that book. And when you get that book, get yourself the retargeting playbook by Adam Burke, by Adam Burke, the retargeting playbook. All right, get that book. The next book I encourage you to read a w a an incredible book here called the art, the art of SEO, the art of SEO. And you’re going, clay, where are you getting this, this list? Um, this is, this list is in my head and I’m trying to go at a slow enough of a pace so that everybody out there who can type at a decent speed per minute can, can type along with us here. So it’s Devin, can you help me review the books we just recommended again for the listeners out there? Oh yeah, I’ll go nice and slow. Here we go. Here we go. I’ll be your echo guy. It’s like, we’re like the rap group back in the day. Run DMC. We’re like one guy’s wrapping. The other guy kind of echoes it, you know, so you be, you do your thing and I’ll just kind of bring some back house

Speaker 4:
number one search engine for dummies by Bruce Clay. Number two, get rich clicks by Mark Lou Ostrawski. Number three, how Google works by Eric Schmidt. Number four, the retargeting playbook by Adam Burke. And then number five, the art of SEO.

Speaker 1:
Now w why, why, why am I saying, well that that right there, I just gave you guys about 300 pages to read and I feel like if I’m a really good teacher now I want to make sure listeners get this. I’m um, Devin, we had a conference where we had a lot of people attend. Yeah. And uh, we were able to get, um, a lot of, I mean we had, uh, 250 people there, 275 people there. And the vast majority of the business owners who attend, um, have become multi-millionaires since working with us, which is cool cause a lot of them weren’t multimillionaires. Um, Deb, what’s cool is you’ve seen, um, like, uh, how long have you been working with me now? Um, it’s been a little over five years. So you’ve seen five of my 13 years of business coaching. Yeah. And that’s pretty cool for you to see.

Speaker 1:
The people we first started working with and see their success stories, uh, Cory Minter and uh, Dr. Edwards, a lot of people were around, you know, before you joined the team. But in that kind of fun to see people actually implement this stuff. That’s really cool. Now Albert Einstein says, if you can’t now again, I just [inaudible] he says, if you can’t teach it, he says, if you can’t explain this, let me give you the quote. Or this is the quote he says, if you can’t explain it simply you don’t understand it well enough. So I got to thinking, you know, years ago, 13 years ago, I’m a really bad teacher because I would be up there teaching about canonical compliance and WordPress that who the founder Matt Mullenweg of WordPress and the connection between WordPress and Google and bill Campbell being the coach for, you know, the founders of Google as well as the founder of founders for Facebook and the connection between Amazon and all this.

Speaker 1:
And people would leave going, I don’t know what that was but I don’t get it. And I’m going, no, no, no, no, it’s easy. You see, I would teach it again. They wouldn’t get it. And so I have been really thinking hard about this idea and I’m just going to tell you this again, where there is no Bizdom. Your digital marketing dreams will perish. What does that mean? It means when you have no visit them, there is no visibility. There is no vision. People can’t find you. It’s like you’re hiding your business. So what I wanted to do today is I want to bring on a guest who is doing it the best so that you can then see does he pass the test? So let’s talk about this. Okay. Video reviews, a step one for the video reviews. You can’t be terrible. Your service cannot be terrible.

Speaker 1:
I mean like you could learn this system and go out there and try to get video reviews, but you can’t make people leave you a positive review if your company is terrible. If you’re a company sucks and you’re not selling vacuums, that’s not a good thing. So Charles, it colo fitness.com you and your wife have designed an incredible experience that, um, makes uh, women and men feel comfortable in the gyms gym environment. It’s well lit, it’s clean, it’s nice. The people who work there are kind. What would happen to colo fitness today if you went out there and tried to implement this, the system via SM, getting those video reviews, images, search engine optimization content, more reviews. If your service wasn’t good, what would happen?

Speaker 5:
Well, when you’re showcasing your product, if the product isn’t really good or the service that you have as well as a product, it wouldn’t look good. So online, if you’re posting video reviews and testimonials coming in every day and you don’t actually have a good product, a good service, a good looking club, happy customers, there’s not really, I mean, you can only get so much content off of a poor service. You can probably get a few friends to kind of get fake reviews, but to get thousands and thousands, even tens of thousands of reviews like you’ve done with some of these companies, I mean, you’ve got to have a good, good product or service. You team up with them and they follow the victim and it makes them even grow more.

Speaker 1:
You have 3,717 reviews right now in, in Joplin and uh, batting second betting. Second in the search engine optimization is planet fitness coming in with a whopping 246 reviews. Now, how can a company as low, I mean, planet fitness has thousands of locations. Yes. I mean seriously, they only have over a thousand locations. 1800 or 1900. How can they be that big and not, how are they not able to keep up with you on reviews? I mean I get how is it possible?

Speaker 5:
Uh, well I think they have a lot more money. I don’t know. And they’ve got some good sisters there, they’ve been around a lot longer and they have a lot more investor money and we act actually actually have to be a better product, better service, really diligent on our systems. A lot harder than they do. So

Speaker 1:
your team is so disciplined in doing a great job. Now people want to focus on, well, what do you say and how do you get reviews? I’m not going to focus on that today. What I want to focus on today. Cause that part’s easy. You have to do a great job. Yes, you have to. Yes. And I think that’s where people, we, they just, it’s like we as a people, as a culture for whatever reason, we want to skip that part. Yep. We want to just skip it and go. Yeah. But what questions do I ask? I mean, every industry it’s different. But essentially you’re saying, Hey, what’s your name and you know, how’d you hear about the company? What do you like most about the service and what makes it different? You know, how would you describe it to somebody else? That kind of thing.

Speaker 1:
But people want to focus on that and not focus on the quality. And Devin, you’ve seen this before where we’ve had, um, were you, do you remember the, um, the contractor who was a client back in the day when you were, when you were first starting out, who screwed me and used to screw clients perpetually? Yes. And see, I didn’t know he was screwing me until one day we’re in a meeting and he says that this is so good. That’s so good. He says, Hey, um, I have a question. Yeah. I said, well, he goes, how come I’m not ranking higher in Google? I said, what do you mean? He says, it’s like, I mean, and I said, well, you’ve got to get video reviews. V. I. S. M. K you gotta get video reviews, new images on the site, search engine content and more Google reviews. And he says, yeah, but it’s not working.

Speaker 1:
And I said, it’s not working well, what’s going on? So I’m thinking it’s a technical issue. So I don’t know if you remember this, but John was looking at the map and why isn’t the map ranking and why, you know, why isn’t the reviews sticking in all these cards? And I’m thinking it’s a technical problem, right? So then I, I, after looking into it mean with great enthusiasm, um, we go into the backend of the website and I see, and dude, Charles, it’s the roughest inbox I’ve ever seen. Like people are filling out the form and they’re saying, Hey, such and such, I paid you $80,000 to replace my windows at my Lake house and I’m currently receiving cancer treatment for brain cancer. And I would like it if you’d at least respond to me to tell me the status. So I know you haven’t at least completely ghosted.

Speaker 1:
This is my 12th email. This is my 12th call. Or the next one would say, um, it would be like, Hey, um, you never did finish my kitchen countertop. I would like to get that finished. When’s a good time? These are, these are nice people and you can see when they’re filling out the form, they’re becoming increasingly hostile. And so when you reach out to a contractor, and by the way he is, he’s screwed me right at the time that I discovered that he was growing other people, he screwed me big time. He took about a hundred thousand dollars of my money, never, never, never paid me back about a hundred grand because we, we’re doing a big build out of the offices. And he took the final installment payment and then ghosted. And he’d been a client of mine for about a year. And then, so apparently he took the money that client’s paid him and would go to a casino and just spend it.

Speaker 1:
So you’re paying him to like remodel your house. And then he takes the money and later on he told me that’s what he did. That’s how he apologized. He said, I have a gambling addiction. I want to apologize. Say I can no longer be your coach. That’s it. I mean, seriously, but I’m saying this. He used to say, God, I don’t understand why people won’t leave me. Good reviews. Well, it turns out people hate you. And then to Google, found out that all the reviews you’ve received were from like people that he had paid to leave a review that he hadn’t actually done work for. So let’s talk about this for a second. The ethics of getting reviews. Now we’re live. We live in a world. Charles, when you know this, we’re not everyone’s gonna like us. So I would speculate. There’s somebody out there listening right now who probably works at planet fitness who says, Kai Clark, and listen, and it’s okay for you to hate me.

Speaker 1:
There are other podcasts out there. Charles loves you. Amber loves you. They all love it. They got no hate. I now me on the other hand, I like to coach from a place of hate for the other team. If you’re not my client, I want you to lose. It starts that way. It’s like the old Lakers versus the Celtics. I do my best coaching when I view you as the enemy, it’s like the Knicks versus the bowls I have to be. I, that’s how I have to start. I can’t do a deal where I, I can’t see your point if you’re not my client, I want you to lose. Which is why Aaron antice worked so hard for years to get me to coach him cause I was violently coaching his competition. But people can write things online that are not true. So as an example, we have some people that um, have come to a conference and a have 725 of them were happy but we had one guy who came to the conference who smelled a lot like a, like a dead animal.

Speaker 1:
Yeah, he did the whole like you know, New York city cab driver thing. And by the way, if you live in New York city and you’re a cab driver and you’re offended by that, come on. Even if you smell good, you have to know your other cab cabbie. Friends don’t smell good. This guy smelled like the interior of an armpit. Okay. This guy was, is rough and he’s felt like onions and armpit combined. Any was sat in the middle of the conference and Devin knew there’s about a hundred people there and his phone. How incredibly distracting is it when someone’s phone goes off? Incredibly. And so you hear this guy and it’s like, you know, the phone’s ringing. It’s this, it’s going off like did, did he do, did he do? And he picks it up and he just starts talking full speed on a sales call. Like he’s just going for it and he’s not like stepping out or duck it out or he’s just like, yeah, how can I help you?

Speaker 1:
Okay, yeah. Well let me tell you. And he’s like going for, let me tell you the difference between us and the other guys. So in between there, I mean everyone was distracted for the whole session, so it’s probably the final five minutes of a session. So I broke early and I said, guys, we’ll be back in 15 minutes. We’ll get restarted. Feel free to caffeinate. I’ll be back. I do that a lot at the conferences. If there’s somebody weird and I tried doing the first one or two sessions, I’m sure you saw me. Devin did this session a little bit. Yeah. So then what I do is I go up to the guy and said, Hey, if you want to make calls in the conference room, you could do that. You know, you could do it. Um, it’d be okay. And uh, he says, well, no, I’d prefer just to be out here, you know, that’s why I drove here.

Speaker 1:
You know, I paid to be here, you know. And I said, okay, if I just need you to kind of stay off that phone, you know, be off the phone because, and again, I’m hosting a conference here and uh, cause apparently my teammates had tried to interact with him and he just wasn’t having it. So next session he does it again. This time it’s like, I don’t know what he’s doing. He’s dealing with a customer service issue or something, but it’s like very disruptive. So on the third session, I pulled him aside and I said, Hey, I think it’s best if I refund you double what you spent. You know, um, you bought a ticket for $250, let me just give you $500 and you could head back. And he says, uh, what? My money’s not good. You know, I said, well, even a thousand, I might just need you to go cause it’s getting bad here. Well, he, he’s going to devote the rest of his life to writing bad things about me. And so now to this day, if you Google me, I’m, you go onto like page two or three, you’re going to find this guy who’s like, clay Clark is a fraud. He Scamps people. Well, if it’s a fraud, it’s a pretty long fraud. I mean, I’ve been working pretty hard, you know, for me, I mean, I’ve been self employed for 23 years. I mean, this is a pretty blue

Speaker 1:
Ponzi scheme here. I mean, I’d have to pay a lot of people. I’d have to pay Shaw homes, the largest home builder in Oklahoma too. Uh, I’d have to pay somebody with a lot of reputation to, I guess, lie about the fact that they’ve doubled their company. Or I’d have to pay Thomas with full package media to make up his growth or I’d have to, yeah, I mean I’d have to be doing a lot [inaudible]. I’d have to pay him to go ahead and buy the Tesla. He has to scam everybody. I mean, it would be it, there’d be a lot of moving parts if, if, if I am in fact a scam. But people can say that. So video reviews are powerful because they’re a validator that you can’t fake. Yeah. Charles talked to me about the talk to the listeners about the importance of getting video reviews. Well,

Speaker 5:
we found a lot of people when they go online and type in Google, like 90% of consumers, they’ll go to the Google to look for a product or service. If they’re looking for haircuts, they’ll type in like haircuts in the city and boom, your business comes in. Or for like Jim’s will type in Jim’s Bartlesville or gyms to a gyms Joplin and I’ll pop up right in the top and I have videos that are right up there at the top or right close to the top. People love to click on videos and they can see that they, the videos are, are, are decent quality, but they’re authentic. They’re not paid actors. These are real people caught in the gym talking about their experience, talking about the results, talking about what they like and that type of stuff I think really, really shows to the consumer.

Speaker 5:
And then then when they get done with that video, we have so many videos, we have hundreds and hundreds of videos that just keep populating next step, next step. And they’re like, wow, this gotta have some sort of truth. Even if there was five fake reviews, they can’t fake hundreds or a thousand reviews or video reviews and they can’t fake thousands like you used to say, you know, like, ha ha, how could you fake thousands of positive reviews? So it’s just like a landslide of positivity that they can quickly see when 90% of consumers go to Google that you are a valid business. You’re carrying on good ethical work. Consumers are majority vast. 99.9% of consumers are very happy with the Proctor service and that you’ve really helped us. You saw that we were already a good business and saying, I can really work with you, but you have to be ethical. You have to truly care about your product or service. Making sure that that person is wanting to give the best customer service best quality product at really competitive price point. When you’re already there as a, as a business owner and you really care about people, clay can do a great job. His team does a great job of growing you and scaling you, but you can’t be selling snake oil and fake stuff, but he can really get your promote product,

Speaker 1:
get it out there and you’ll even grow faster. It’s been huge game changer for us. I have Devin on the show today, a one cause Devin is a, he’s like honest Abe almost. You know what I mean? He’s, he just, he cannot tell a lie. He’s a, a proud member of Raman church. Right? Devin? A destination destiny church. I’m sorry. And you’ve been married for how long now? Um, it’s 11 years now. You live behind Raymundo right next to, but you go to destiny church. Do you feel any cognitive dissonance there? You feel like you should go the rainbow just because you are near? No, no. I appreciate their lights though. Huh? They’re beautiful. Hey, real quick. That’s shady of you. I’m just kidding. So you, you can validate this and, and keep the camera on. I’m kennel cause I’m gonna ask the questions and look right into his beady eyes.

Speaker 1:
Look into his eyes. Um, we had a client back in the day for about 30 days who never how he pretended to be a doctor. Oh yes, yes, yes, yes. And what was, what kind of doctor did he, did he pretend to be, we won’t mention his name or the city he’s in, but tell the, well, just a week, just to listeners have some context here. He was a, uh, a testosterone doctor, H, G, H, all that kind of stuff. But he said he was a doctor. Right now here’s what’s crazy to Kindle. I want to talk to the listeners here. This is powerful. He says he’s a doctor. Now you’d usually, when you talk to a doctor, they’re usually the, I just tried to make and model of doctors, and this is not always true, but usually they’re not super athletic. Usually the good Lord gives all of us different tools.

Speaker 1:
And as a general rule, the guy with the hugely developed mind is usually not, um, like a decathlon guy. Not always, but just the vast majority of the time. I’m not usually not. You don’t see like freak athletes who’ve spent a huge amount of their time in fitness also being great doctors or vice versa usually. So it’s kind of a little bit of a warning to doctors tend to be very prompt and being on time. And homeboy was never on time, never at all three people that are doctors typically don’t avoid telling you where they went to medical school. They wear like a badge of honor. So I’m saying to myself,

Speaker 1:
wait a minute. You know, the guy from wasn’t CSI where he’s like, you know, who is the red head guy from CSI? And he’s always like, well, it appears as though the body. I know. And he always has an epiphany. You, he still, he does. He always, he’s like, well, it’s like Saturday. Where was I on set? He always had an epiphany. So I’m doing that in the meeting. I’m going, so you don’t want to tell me where you went to medical school. You are late, you’re really, really into fitness and sports. You’re not a doctor. And I had said that to him and he goes, w what, what? And I said, get your, your, you’re not a doctor. You’re, you’re not a doctor. So I said, is that true? He goes, Hey brother, um, we got to keep this. We gotta, we gotta keep this between you and me.

Speaker 1:
Okay? And I’m going, what? I’m a doctor to them. And I said, who? He goes to people who buy the stuff. And I said, well, I’ll tell you what, let me go check on something real fast. I’ll come right back. So I go out and I will do a backlink report, and I don’t know if I showed this to you guys, but now all of his backlinks were from pornography websites. He was running ads on pornography sites. That’s where he sold his stuff. And so I said, Hey, I have a question for you, just so I can really help you, um, or just tell me, between you and me, you know, the steroids you selling me in are those like synthetic things made in China? And he goes, Oh yeah, it’s like 10 cents on the dollar. Now. You never know what’s in those things. But I mean, you know, I mean, it’s been, you know, independently.

Speaker 1:
And I’m going, so you and do you do on overseas banking, you know? And he goes, yeah, so I didn’t choose to write in Paul Hood can verify this. So Paul, he goes to, he says, clay, do you recommend a good accountant? I said, absolutely, and I’ll have him do a report. Some things. I said right now though, what you want to sell. And he wanted us to run ads on adult websites for him. Man. I said, I don’t think we’re a good fit, you know, um, you know, so I’m just going to refund you right now I think. And then you can find someone who specializes in more, you know, digital, online marketing, you know, and he goes, are you, are you saying that I’m a scammer or something or what’s your deal? And he, I’m like, well, yeah, you know, well, he goes and meets with Paul Hood and he’s asking Paul what the best way is to deal with the IRS when they’re coming after him for tax evasion over like a multiple year period of time.

Speaker 1:
And Paul’s letting them know like, well one, you got to quit doing that too. Where’s, where’s the money? He says, well, it’s all in the Caymans and it’s all in a lot via and the Caymans. And so Paul calls me, he’s like, we’ve got a bogey on our hands. Well, it turns out this guy comes in again for another meeting. I don’t even, I’m not, he’s not scheduled now, but he is pissed that I will not take his money. This is it. You saw this guy, Devin, you saw the guy. Yeah. So now he’s saying, well, Hey, here’s the deal. Did you know on Fiverr and you can just buy reviews. I’m going, you can’t just buy reviews. And I, and I, and anyway, that was, he’s like, well, I don’t need you guys. I’m just going to filter. So messed up. It is. It is.

Speaker 1:
And so, anyway, long story short, um, I think, and I’m gonna, I’m going to do a search real quick for something. Kendall, don’t look what I’m searching for. Okay. Don’t, I’m not, don’t, um, amen. Amen. God is real. He is not in the top three on Google now. He’s not, he’s not in the top three on Google right now. But what’s crazy Devin, is that we sat there with him in the first couple meetings and we showed him the moves to do and he implemented in, got to the page one of Google and I felt bad. It Devon right before a client. Usually cancer cancels. What are they normally change? All of their passwords. Yes. Any change. All of his passwords. So I couldn’t take his site down or you know, remove the search engine optimization content, but Google caught onto him and it turns out Google is pretty smart and now he’s not ranking anymore.

Speaker 1:
And he couldn’t get video reviews because nobody who’s honest would give him a review because he’s so shady. If he had any customers at all, they wouldn’t leave. So a video review is powerful. V I S M get those video reviews. The second images, images. Let’s talk about images for a second. Um, images. If you search for Joplin gyms or you search for, uh, Tulsa men’s haircuts, well I’d say, well, let’s, let’s search right now. Let’s all do a search. A Devin, pull it up here so the Charles can see we’ve, we’ve achieved one goal today. What am I? Clients and Canada today told me about this and I’m excited. He said, Oh, I, I had them Google search it, uh, Josh Spurl in Canada. And he said, it’s true Google search bill Bellacheck fan. Cause I said, Hey, I’m showing right now. When you search for bill Bellacheck fan, I am now the top in the world.

Speaker 1:
Is this true for you? And he says yes because the kid, Canadians, Google search is a little bit different. It Devin, there it is. What you search. I’m double verifying in incognito window. And when you search for bill Bellacheck number one fan, look at my face coming up top and Google bill Belichick, number one fan. My face is all over the place. Yes, yes. Hey, yes, Billy B. You know I’ve been chasing you for seven years, Billy B and I, and I know you didn’t film the Bengals illegally. No you didn’t. Billy B, you’re my guy. So here’s the deal. His images, it turns out Devin, people look for images. True. You know what a lot of people search for and they search for me to have. And I’ve been finding this out recently. Clay Clark wife. Oh. And do you know why that is? Could you talk, cause you’re talking about it, you say, but why do people look for the images of my wife?

Speaker 1:
What does that, because like who’s got it and what do you think they want to probably understand who she is and what kind of sick freak would marry a guy like me. That’s probably a bigger, darker issue. So there’s an article, Devin, I want you to put a link to it and I want to show Charles and Amber taken. See this graph. This is so powerful folks. Powerful. It’s power. This today show is power. This is, this is like the death star show it the is called how Google retains more than 90% of market share. How Google retains over 90% of market share. This article right here. This is powerful. You want to, you want to show that’s applicable. [inaudible] this is it. Now we’ve got this little graph here. Um, Devin, would you call this a pie chart? Is that what you want to call this?

Speaker 1:
What do you call us? A pie charts? It’s a pie chart. Okay. A pie chart. And it shows right now that a 62.6% of all searches are done being are done via Google without images. Just Google itself. 22.6% of searches are Google images. So between the Google search and the images homeys, that’s 84% 85% of all searches are done between the images and the non images. Again, if you’re searching on Google right now, that’s 62.6% of people do that, but 22.6% of people click on the images button. Then they search. Who knew that I did? So YouTube, 4.3% of people use YouTube and 1.3% of people now go to the maps and they just sort for the highest rated, which represents an aggregate total of 90.8% of all searches are done using a Google entity. So let’s talk about this where there is no visit.

Speaker 1:
Your online visibility will perish images. You got to get images. Now, Charles getting images and you’d be hard to take images of colo fitness if your gym was nasty. You wouldn’t want to show it to people. So you could see why Google would rank you high. And let’s go back to the non-doctor. Oh, this guy, I asked him to get images. And Devin, did you ever see the images that he provided to me? I don’t believe so. Oh my gosh. They were definitely from like an ice stock or from somebody else’s website and they were dirty pictures like they were dirty. It was like not like, it was like somewhere between adult content and like the swimsuit edition of like sports illustrated somewhere in that line without complete nudity. And that’s what he brought to me. And I’m like, are these your pictures? He goes, Oh no, I ganged him offline. Gangnam. Well, Devin, let’s talk about how Google sees images. Google sees things as zeros and ones. This is called binary code. People don’t know this, but the internet is, is built of binary code, zeros and ones. So Devin could Google tell if you copy an image,

Speaker 6:
it can, how each image has, um, data called metadata that, um, is embedded in the image. Um, that tells you all kinds of information. It can even tell you what kind of camera the image was shot on and when it was shot on, when it was shot. True in where in where’s it’s wild. What’s what? It’s wild.

Speaker 1:
It is wild. And this is why, um, you gotta be careful of when and where you take images cause they know so images, it would be hard to get images of things that were for optimization. If you didn’t keep your gym clean. Charles, you’re not embarrassed to put your images up there.

Speaker 6:
You say like take them, have them people take real images in your club. Real people taking real images, uploading them there. Yup. And so that’s what happens and that’s why we rank high and that’s why it works.

Speaker 1:
V I S M visit them. Think about that for a second visit V I S M visit them. It’s so important that everybody gets this idea. Um, do you remember the song Saturday night there? Devin, you that song Saturday night?

Speaker 6:
Maybe if I heard a bit of it. Really? Yeah, I think I would. Um, I’m usually good once I hear songs.

Speaker 1:
Okay. I’m going to queue it up here for you. This is, this is the, this is, I’m trying to, I’m trying to turn this vis into some kind of chant here for you. So let me, let me queue it up here. Here we go. This is from other movies. So I married an Axe murderer.

Speaker 7:
Hey, Hey [inaudible].

Speaker 1:
So how are we going to turn this into some kind of chant? Because it’s gotta be a V I S. M that’s where your online success begins. It’s got to get stuck in your head and because of neuropathways, I’ve got to say this a lot because somebody right now you are at a truck stop. You’re pulling over right now. You’re going to McDonald’s, you’re going somewhere, bought a pop, pop up. And so what I’m saying, a 31 fries with that and you just turned me down. You turn it, you turn it down or your wife or your husband doesn’t like business and they’re like, could you turn it down and you’re, you’re distracted and distraction will keep you from taking the action that you need to take. And this could make you millions. Charles, what would happen if you didn’t have a website? At all,

Speaker 6:
uh, no website. You would have less of an online presence pretty dramatically. Um, would it be bad? Yeah, I would not

Speaker 1:
be good. Devin, what’s it like to having a website that people can’t find?

Speaker 6:
It’s a, it’s like a, you know, having a, a really nice billboard in the woods,

Speaker 1:
in the woods, a billboard in the woods. This is, I’m asking you, mr listener, mrs listener is your company, is your company’s website a billboard in the woods? Is it a billboard in the woods? Think about that for a second. Awkward. Yes, it is. Cause you know, cause what happened is you built it yourself on Wix. You built yourself on the WordPress. You, you’ve asked someone who knows you to build it, cause their family and they’ve tried their best, but where there is no visit them there, your online presence will perish. You need video reviews. Devin, what do you get? The video reviews? You’ve got to post those beasts on your Google map and on YouTube. Why?

Speaker 6:
Because that’s just a more, more places that Google can find your videos and people can find it. People are gonna search your Google map, look at your reviews, and then also be able to see those video reviews right there. Now what were you saying? I’m sorry. And then YouTube. YouTube is um, you know, one of the fastest growing search engines that that is coming up. You know, people don’t think of YouTube as a search engine optimization, but it is baby. Oh it is. How much was it on that pie graph? What did they say?

Speaker 5:
Let’s pull it up.

Speaker 1:
Pulled it up here. Up here. 4.3% of all searches are done via YouTube. YouTube. Um, by the way, I did I tell ya more than five times today about how good the Carl’s jr beyond meat burger was. I heard it at least at least twice. Have you tried it yet? I have not tried it. I suck at marketing. I want to order some tomorrow for you guys. I think I’m going to do it. I think at the next conference I want on Saturday. Get the beyond the meat burgers for everybody as opposed to what we normally do. Okay. Have you, have you been tempted all the check this out?

Speaker 5:
Um, a little bit on, on the Whopper. I’ve seen more advertisement for that one.

Speaker 1:
My wife is really into health, you know, and that’s awesome. I’m excited about that. And she really likes the, like the, the vegan stuff, you know? Okay. And um, I just, a lot of it tastes like wood, you know, and like, so I went in there with expecting nothing and it tasted as good as a burger or better, it was really good. Wow. Yeah. But what I’m telling you this right now, how, how does this relate to internet marketing? The average person, when you heard that, you immediately thought, that’s gross. You’re wrong. That’s fine. And a lot of you are thinking right now, no, there’s no way to internet marketing can be this simple. Charles. Somebody wants to make it more complicated. You know what I mean though? Yeah. Oh yeah. When you give people fitness tips, okay. So let’s say you’re sitting down with somebody right now and you’re giving them diet tips and they’re sincere.

Speaker 1:
Okay. And somehow they got the Charles colo special. Something happened. I’m not sure, but somehow Amber says, Charles, you want to train a one on one client? Okay fine, it’s 1000 bucks a session. So they want, you want, cause you don’t train people on it anymore as a personal trainer, but someone you talked to, Amber and Amber goes, okay fine. Three, three sessions a week, $1,000 per session. And so, and all the money goes to Amber and Amber foundation. Okay. So, and that’s about it. Probably take $2,000 per session, but there’s gotta be some number eventually where you’re like, fine, okay, you can take a client on, but you sit down with them and they’re sincere and they say, Charles, tell me specifically the meal that I can eat. Just I just need one meal. What is the one meal that everyone could eat and just drop it on average, you know, 10, 15 pounds at first 45 days. Just lean meat and vegetables and that’s it. And water. And then they want, they want to make it more complicated. Do they not?

Speaker 5:
Yeah. If they do do that for 30 days, almost anybody will lose at least 15 to 20 people want to make it more complicated. Don’t get a cheat day. Yeah, they want it. Yes. They want it to be more complicated than they do. They want, they want to have it as completely as possible. I always, I’ve learned the best way that that you can train to Klein is to make it very, very simple and if they act confused and you just have to kind of create their meals for the week and it just falls in line with the simplicity of it and it’s kind of like youth coaching. You give them simple principles and then you just have to make it. If they are wanting it to be more complex, if like here’s your actual action items and this, this, this, this, this, and it’s basically your same Visine to dominate Google.

Speaker 1:
No, this, what’s interesting is that

Speaker 6:
our relationship, as you guys continue to scale, you’re opening up two more locations. I believe this year. As you guys scale, our relationship will change because it becomes, it’s always about how do you get your team to execute it. Yes, and what I’ve found with bigger companies, I’ve worked with like Oxi fresh, you’ve got 400 locations. Matt Klein came and spoke at the conference. He’s great with 400 locations. The biggest issue is how do you convince 400 people to all do the right thing? It’s more about that than coming up with a new strategy. It’s more about how do you get people to do the strategy and teaching a group of 400 people to do four things can be tough and we’re, it’s a challenging because on today’s show we’re trying to teach a half million people to do four things. So I want to hammer this home, but visit stands for video reviews, images, now, images, you got to name the images properly. Devin, if I wanted to optimize right now for a Tucson men’s haircuts, what should I name my images? You should name your image, Tucson, hyphen, mins, hyphen haircuts, and then whatever the image is about. So if it’s somebody cutting hair, then you would say man cutting hair or something.

Speaker 1:
And then you’ve to, and you’ve got to add the add of the image attributes. Correct. What does that, isn’t there like the meta description for images?

Speaker 6:
Um, you can add a meta description for the image. Um, the biggest part is the alt attribute. Once the image is embedded,

Speaker 1:
the alt attribute all attribute. Talk to me about that. You just used the word alt. I think a lot of homeworks in, what are you talking about? You’re talking about the old Sega Genesis game alter based.

Speaker 6:
The, the alt attribute is, is the text that will show up if the image cannot load. So if someone’s on a phone out in the woods and they have really slow internet connection, they’re trying to load your website, sometimes those, those bigger images will take a little bit longer to load. And so while that image is loading, instead of just having a, a big square there by adding alt text, it then gives someone an idea of what, what that image is supposed to look like.

Speaker 1:
And it also gives a blind users the ability to see in their mind’s eye what something is exactly. Cause it’s described to them. True. So, uh, let’s get back into this V Devon. What does V stand for? Video review. Come on now. Get those video reviews every day. Devin. Everyday air day. So you got to get video reviews everyday homies. Now images, name the image properly. Do we got to get images every day? Devin? Every day, every day. Because Google wants consistency. That’s right. Consistency. Because consistency is where the success be. I’m telling you to think about this for a second. Inconsistent people, not cool, not successful, not trustworthy, not promotable, not the kind of businesses you want to do business with. Inconsistent people. And Google looks for the consistency of your business. The heartbeat of your business is the consistency. Charles, you guys smash it up there at colo fitness.

Speaker 1:
Oh yeah. I would argue this because I’ve worked at so many fitness people before you. And by the way, I work with some great fitness people now, Brett Denton with Cavell fit. Yes. Awesome. Awesome guy. Clint Howard. Awesome. Luke Owens. Awesome. You awesome. But man, I’ve worked with some fitness people that just can’t seem, it’s so ironic though, that they cannot handle the consistency of online marketing and these are the same people in Devin. You’ve seen this. They can’t handle the consistency of actually showing up for their personal training sessions. I hear that’s important. Charles, what would happen if you, cause you started your business back in the day by doing personal training. Yes. What would happen if you goes to the client one time?

Speaker 5:
Oh, quit fire you. You’re done. If you do. Well, if you, if you like worked with them for two years and you happened to miss, they’re like what happened? It’s so rare. But yeah, you can’t miss client.

Speaker 1:
That’s good. Now the next part of the visit and the V I S V I S search engine optimization content. You’ve got to create original search engine content and Devin, if you’ll put point a and B under here, just so our listeners have it, you’ve got to create original relevant HTML content, original, relevant hypertext markup language content, the most words about the subject thrive nation. How many shows a week do we put out for 5 million mega points? How many shows a week does John allow me to put out, take a guess, take it. What do you think it is? What’s that number? What’s that number nine. However, sometimes I do a show and I don’t feel like it. I mean I feel like helping you, the listener, but I don’t feel good. You know why? Well, it’s an example. We just had our Christmas party on top of the largest building or the tallest building in Oklahoma, uh, called the city Plex, a tower there on S on a Saturday night and a Devin, were you there? I was there. I remember you there being there when you have a good time. It was great. It was a lot of fun. What uh, was your highlight? Mm,

Speaker 5:
for me it’s always a, the Cupid shovel or any dance that tells me what to do.

Speaker 1:
Well. Oh, you, so you liked the ones that tell you what to do? Yeah, I’m too white. Well, DJ Aubrey was up there deejaying and he was having a good time. And uh, I’ve been in finish really wrapping up my night until about 2:00 AM Oh wow. Which is usually one hour. That’s one hour before I normally wake up. So I was saying to myself, self, you have committed to do an interview with Clinton Howard the morning at six. You have committed to interview with another guy based in Atlanta and Atlanta. And I’m like, I gotta so this is, this is a little audio from the, from the party. This is our [inaudible] robbery. They’re just loving it. They’re having a great time. There’s a lot of, I mean this is Zee dancing versus Santa Claus.

Speaker 2:
[inaudible]

Speaker 1:
they’re having a Z challenging. Justin ran to a dance contest. This is our team dancing to the, uh, hot stepper.

Speaker 2:
I mean you got 350 people going strong all night. That’s what we do.

Speaker 1:
So I had to do a podcast the next morning and uh, I didn’t feel like it. Right. So I went ahead and recorded it anyway. But this is a, the first 10 seconds of the show. So you can hear what it’s like when Joan Rivers, uh, hosts the show. Cause I had, I had, I mean I serious. I had nothing left man. I mean I was, I was absolutely, uh, this is me talking here.

Speaker 8:
Let me see. I’ll cue it up.

Speaker 2:
Oh Jason, it is the day after the thrive time show conference. Oh yeah. I went to bed slightly before I woke up today. That’s right. And we’re breaking down nine Napoleon Hill notable quote. If you’re kind of dragging today and you need a pick me up, this show is going to be the ultimate.

Speaker 1:
Do it. You do it cause you say you’re going to do it. There is no try. Just do no to no try. No. [inaudible] what does that mean, Charles? What’s the difference? I mean you’re, you’re kind of our Broda. What does it mean to do versus try and I wanna get your wife’s take on this because there’s a, there’s a big difference between

Speaker 8:
doing and trying.

Speaker 5:
Well, I’m doing it is just basically separating your emotions and taking action. Your emotions at certain points will take you hostage and derail you from what you really want to do. If you just take action over emotion. That’s, that’s kinda my take.

Speaker 1:
Well, I want, I want to mic up your wife here real quick. We let, when a Devin, they’ve lowered the mic for her a little bit here, but you guys just went on a cruise as a couple and I don’t know. Um, if you’re weird like me, Amber, where you’re, you’re, you struggle with vacations where I think you’re normal. I think you like to travel. I’m on cruises.

Speaker 8:
Yes. Was it tough to want to come back? It was. What did you like most about the cruise? Uh, no work. No work. Yeah. And he’s great of the ocean. Yeah, that’s pretty. Do you have any highlights? Our highlight was not working. What, what islands did you enjoy the most or sites did you enjoy most? Uh, we stopped at three different countries. And where’d you go? We went to Roatan, Honduras and Balise and Cozumel. So which one of those was your favorite? Um, we’ve been to all of them before. I would say Roe Aton is probably my favorite, but this time we stayed on the boat. We just saw him from the boat, which is great. [inaudible] on the boat. Didn’t even get off the boat. We did get off the boat and Cozumel and we, we had to find a little accoutrement for clay. Oh, thank you so much for doing that. Encourage our listeners,

Speaker 1:
I presume. So tonight’s nice elephant by the one candle. You can see it on the shelf over there. Um, it’s, it’s right there. It’s the small elephant, the neat elephant, um, written. They’re right there next to my Bernie Sanders, uh, toilet paper, which by the way, that Bernie Sanders toilet paper is very effective.

Speaker 8:
Well, I’d say unbelievable. Now they have some marketing ideas in Mexico. They do. They definitely, what did one guy say to us? He said, yeah, come on in here. Give me a chance to rip you off.

Speaker 1:
Really? Wow. Wow. So let’s talk to encourage the listeners out there, both the men and women listening to the show who just, you know, cause you guys, you and your husband, I mean he used to train clients and you’re at your house $115,000 house in Bartlesville. You have, you know, I think he was first client was like five in the morning or four in the morning and yet you’re training people till 10 o’clock at night. You’re cutting hair. And some people just don’t want to go through. They just, they’re having a hard time going through that, that tough part. They want the success now. They want the crews now encourage somebody out there who’s having a hard time delaying that gratification.

Speaker 8:
Um, well you always talk about the cognitive dissonance and I love this saying where, um, I think Billy Fallsburg says it’s when you turn your should into a must. And I think it’s the should in your brain, that’s the cognitive dissonance that you’re not doing the must. So when there’s something that you should be doing and everybody has a list of things they should do, whether it’s exercise or you should take care of your kids or you should be the family or you should go to work or you should, you should be on time or they have all these shades and I think they don’t turn them into the must in their life. And so I think just being super consistent at just the self, um, like self-discipline, just learning how to be diligent and just even small things kind of rolls over into bigger success in your life into other areas.

Speaker 1:
I think what you said is 100% right. And I know the listeners don’t have a lot of the time today to read the book called the power of habits. It’s called the power of habits. And I think that there’s a few quotes in that book that all the listeners, um, should, should know. Um, it’s a great book and called the power of habit. The others are, the author’s name is Charles Duhigg. He says, change might not be fast, and it isn’t always easy. But with time and effort, almost any habit can be reshaped. Change might not be fast. It isn’t always easy. But with time and effort, almost any change can be reshaped almost any habit. And he says, almost any habit can be reshaped. Now he says the golden rule of habit, you can’t exchange a bad habit. You said you can’t extinguish a bad habit.

Speaker 1:
You can only change it. You can’t extinguish it. You have to replace it with something else, right? So rather than you’ve got to replace it, you got to insert something into your routine. And a lot of people are, or people have habits. So let me give an example of me. I don’t do downtime, so I could do good things with my downtime, uh, or bad things. So either way, I, I cannot relax. I hate it. So it’s, it’s, it’s like God me this way. I don’t know what it is, but like I, whenever I watch a, whenever we don’t have to eat, we don’t have to eat with Matt Klein and Michael Levine and great people. Aaron antice, Steve Currington were out there for dinner and the entire time I’m thinking, when is this going to be over? That’s what I did. I actually went up to the bar.

Speaker 1:
I went up to the bar and got myself a drink as opposed to waiting for the waiter, cause I don’t like waiters because I have to wait, which is what I don’t do in life. They’re called a waiter. That’s what they do. They help you get your food. I’d rather just make my own ourselves. I don’t know. I just like so, and again it’s not, it’s not a great character attribute. It’s just, it’s one that is, it is a thing. So I have to fill my schedule up with an insane amount of stuff. So I did is I woke up at, uh, on Sunday at 5:00 AM after going to bed at 2:00 AM I wake up, did the show. As soon as I’ve finished the show, I edited the show, export to the show. As soon as I did that, I wake my kids up and we went and finished buying Vanessa Christmas gifts and we went to Carl’s jr to sample the beyond meat burger.

Speaker 1:
And then after that I returned a DJ system for Aubrey before the rest of the world had woken up. By the way, the mall opens up at nine so it was guitar center. Some of the first person there, there’s no traffic. So I’m already done with a lot of my lists. Then my wife had a blow out in her car, so I went and got her a different car, changed out the car. Um, you know, they’ll all, you got to get one vehicle from a to B. My mom helped me do it and I got all that done before like 11 o’clock. Now most people are still just getting going on a Saturday or a Sunday. And then, you know, I listened to TD Jakes and I take copious notes and I listen to a pastor, Chad Everett sermon took copious notes. Now it’s like noon.

Speaker 1:
Then I helped my son organize every single power cord that he has. You know where you organize them. All sister hung up nicely in that kind of thing. And then after that I watched the Patriots game and I take notes while I watch the game. And then after I did that I get ready for whatever the next thing is that I have zero downtime. I can not do it. So I have, what he’s talking about is you might have a habit of being, you know, whatever your thing is, you got gotta replace it with something else. But if I were to replace my need to get things done with a destructive habit, that would be the same thing. Like if I were to do drugs, I would do more drugs than anyone because I, I’m like a very OCD, obsessive compulsive doodoodoo kind of guy.

Speaker 1:
So again, be very important today. Understand this. We’ve got to replace some habit in our business with V I S. M you’ve got some habit in your business right now. I don’t know what it is, but you might, you know, everybody meets every morning and I’m in your office and maybe they have coffee and they talk for 20 minutes before they do anything. And maybe we replace that habit with, let’s take 20 minutes and let’s call people and get a review every morning. Maybe that’s our new ritual, but we’ve got to find a way to do it. Devin, why do you think some clients just can’t seem to figure this out until I nudge on him, yell at him, encourage him, tase him. I even, I even, I even now wager, last week I won $80 Oh, $80 wow. I bet people cash 20 bucks. They would not get a Google review every day.

Speaker 1:
And I lost last week one time, but I won four times. Oh, for a total of $80 I won. Wow. I almost got my wife’s Christmas gifts this year by, by wagering my clients, I’m sure. So I got about $300 of wages in the past three or four weeks. My wagering, my clients. And it’s funny when I wager some people, some people, let’s see. Oh did they get some going? Is that 20 bucks? Right? Some people it’s, it’s um, they want to prove me wrong. Some people it’s, can you talk about that? Why do you think some people don’t get reviews even though it benefits their company? Why would they not do it unless they’re betting me 20 bucks? It forces them to change something in, in what their, their normal routine is and get out of their comfort zone. And a lot of times now, why now?

Speaker 1:
Our final, our final V I S M M is more Google reviews. Amber, why can’t we ever stop getting Google reviews? So I mean, cause it get a co off fitness you guys have, I mean I don’t want to exaggerate at all. I’m just saying if you type in Joplin gyms right now, you have 3,717 reviews. The closest competitor has 246. Clearly you’re doing well. Check. I got to [inaudible] to pick. Okay. Why can’t you stop? Like why, why can’t you Amber stop getting reviews. And the same reason for you’re running a race. You’re not going to stop me. You’re just going to keep going. Why can’t you always on your heels? What can’t you stop brushing your teeth? There’s a reason why. Um, why can’t you? I want to keep my tea. Why can’t you stop being a good wife? Cause I have a really awesome husband and I going to try and keep up with him and keep him happy.

Speaker 1:
I feel like a lot of us out there though. It seems like a stupid question. It’s a stupid question from a stupid host. Why can’t we, why can’t we stop brushing our teeth? But I think a lot of people feel like they want to get to the end of it. So I want to introduce the listeners to a new word. A new word, Devin. It’s the word of the day. Excited about the word of the day. Okay. The word of the day is this. It’s commencement. Now, commencement people think a lot of times, uh, and [inaudible] don’t, don’t do, do, do, do you know that they think about commencement or they think about going to a big arena and watching a bunch of high school kids have their names read in alphabetical order while being handed the sheet of paper. But it’s that Devon, have you been to a graduation recently? Mine took forever. Where’d you graduate from? Broken arrow. How many kids are graduated in my class? There were just under 1100. Who gave your commencement address? I don’t even remember it was that good? Huh? It was so good. So these commencement addresses and then we go, we’re done. We did it. And you, you people start to think that way like we did it. Don’t they think that Devin, we did it true. Why? Because they believe that that is the end. They finish. We

Speaker 1:
did it, but they didn’t do it yet and do it. What do they not do when you have your commencement address? What did you not do? I, I’ve, I probably took a nap. I really, really do believe though. People think they did it. We’re topping Google. We did. I’ve top end Google. Yes, yes, yes. No. Now you’re not topping Google cause you stopped the visit, the visit them Devin. Somebody out there is fighting back right now about the visit. They want there to be a more deep, more complex way to dominate the Google search results. Well, it is true that you definitely have to have your website be canonically compliant to start true and mobile compliant. But you can’t stop. Why can’t you stop Devin? Why can’t you stop?

Speaker 6:
It’s going back to that whole concept of consistency and understanding that your business has a digital heartbeat. You know, it has an online heartbeat. And once you start, once you stop putting those reviews and video content, those images up, then Google after seeing it consistently just drop off. They wonder if maybe your business had a heart attack or something.

Speaker 1:
Do you know what the word and Devin, I’m not trying to paint you into a corner. I’m just asking the listeners here. Do you, mr listener, mrs listener, do you know what the word Prizm means? Prism. Prism. Prism. Prism. Uh, geometric. Geometric shapes. Maybe. Uh, let’s go. There’s two definitions. Okay. One is referring to a geometric shapes. We can talk about that. The other one means it is used figuratively with reference to the clarification or distortion afforded by a particular viewpoint. Everybody there today needs a clarification of the Visam prism. You’ve got to understand this, that in order for you to go to the next level, you’ve got to master this skill. This is similar to um, Amber. Do you remember when we used to have to mail letters? Now I know you just turned 23, and that is an exciting thing for our listeners out there.

Speaker 1:
We’re very excited at your 23rd birthday. Um, but uh, do you remember when we mailed letters? Oh yes. And remember how, remember, remember when you used to have to write words on paper? What I know if I’m 23, but I mean, this is like the new normal. Everybody out there has to know what the visit is. You have to know. Ignorance is not an excuse, Amber. If you ran colon fitness and you were not aware of the various laws related to the business such as, you know, you provide workman’s comp, your people or the hours people can work or whatever. If you weren’t aware of the laws, but the government give you a hall pass if you guys didn’t observe the laws. No, no, no, no. Probably a nice letter. Right, right. So I mean not knowing ignorance is not an excuse for this and now that you know you still gotta do it.

Speaker 1:
That happens to me all the time though. When I get pulled over, like I just didn’t know what the speed limit was. I did not, I was not aware. You mean in this school zone you can’t drive a hundred and this particular school zone, Oh my gosh. I want the listeners to think about this though for a second. If cause if, if you didn’t know what I’m telling you now, you do know, right? If you don’t know now you now you do know and I have a little notorious VIG sound clip ready for you guys in the, here we go. Thank you. Taking a tourist VIG. And if you don’t, no, not yet. No. No. So if you don’t know now, you know, but you do know. And again, again, if you, if you don’t know and if you don’t know not, you know, I think a lot of people say, I don’t know.

Speaker 1:
You do know. So now Devin, we’d got some activators. We need to take your activators, activators act. Hopefully we’re good motivators. Then we have some activators need them. I’m going to give the listeners one action step to take. All right, let’s all go to the best SEO book.com, the best SEO book.com. Devin, did you code this page? Um, I cleaned it up a bit, but um, I just kinda made, made it Reynolds, do you run the meeting? Uh, today? How many people have reached out for one on one coaching in the last week? It was a lot. Do you remember the number? Roughly 224 I want to say. Right? It’s a lot. Only problem is we only take on 160 clients. So, um, that’s a reality thing. Okay. We want to take 160 clients. And so I’ve tried to provide stuff for you. If we are, if we’re not available, I’d encourage you to see if we’re available.

Speaker 1:
We can schedule a 13 point assessment right now I’m booked out for two weeks because we say for every 20 people that reach out for one on one coaching, I think Julia will book, you know, usually one maybe. And then I’ll talk to them. And it’s because I don’t want to work with people that don’t get entrepreneurship on a fundamental level. Um, I, that’s more of like I would say, come to the workshop or listen to the show. But people that are kind of socialistic in nature that want to argue with me. And again, in American we have 327 million people, only 16 of million, 16 million of which are, uh, actively self-employed and have that out of that 16 million, only a 4% of them don’t fail according to inc magazine. So it’s a 0.00193 percentage chance that you will be successful as an entrepreneur by default.

Speaker 1:
So I want to give you free stuff here. And so the free stuff is if you go to a thrive time, show.com, forward slash the best SEO, uh, the best SEO book free or we said, I guess the best would be Devon, what’s the domain? The best SEO best SEO. Let’s do down, that’s more direct, the best SEO book.com, the best SEO book.com. You can download the boom book for free. Well, why? Because I believe in the golden rule. Well, so many of you have downloaded it for free and then you’ve, you buy it and there’s thousands of you buying it right now, which is why currently devil, let’s go to Amazon real quick and see how highly we rank right now in the book category for the section of search engine optimization. So I’m going to Amazon, I’m searching in the book section for the search engine optimization and I see that we are currently number three.

Speaker 1:
We’re number three right now. Oh yeah. Oh man, we’re not number two though. And we’re not number one. So I would encourage you all, mr listener, mrs listener, download the book for free. Get that thing, read that thing. If you like that thing, buy that thing. Why? Because I want to buy my wife various things that she needs, like kale and kale is expensive and we’ve got to so, but to get the book, check it out. And Devin, you made an error, a cool page. Um, last week. Um, thrive time show.com, forward slash free resources. Oh yeah, that things that things hot thrive time show.com, forward slash free dash resources. All right, this is kind of our no brainer for you. Okay. You can download all the books that I’ve written, the ebook version of them, absolutely for free right now. All of them for free.

Speaker 1:
The ebook version for free. And, uh, this just in thrive nation, we also have all of the um, um, infographics I’ve made. Yeah, those are all free for you. There’s endo graphics about lead management, managing humans. These are the posters you can print in your office. Now you can print the posters. Um, logo creation one Oh one. Why Google loves WordPress time management one Oh one, the importance of calling your leads. One Oh one nomenclature one Oh one. These are great posters you can put in your office for free. You owe me nothing. You can get that. Um, and then I have two more books coming out here in the next 30 days. We’ve got, if the walls could talk a book that does stills all the notable quotables on the walls and what they mean and the origin of them. And we also have trade ups.

Speaker 1:
Um, a book that started as a conversation with miss [inaudible] who attended our Christmas party. Um, did you guys know that? I tell you Charles, that she attended the Christmas party. That was the craziest thing ever we had at our, I’ll pull it up here so you guys can see it. Pull it up so they can see it. If you Google search a clay Clark Twitter, you can see it. I’m at, this is a true story. At our Christmas party, we had one of the world’s top MMA fighters. We had the world’s top literary agent and the world’s top PR consultant. All in the same room talking to each other. It was like, what in the world is going on? I think the post says, um, 2019 Christmas party from clay, dizzy with the world’s number one wife, Vanessa and the world’s number one literary agent. And uh, do you remember that Devin Z came up there and he said, I have a, I have a gift for you.

Speaker 1:
I have a present and I’m going, Oh no, because I’m thinking this is going to be a gag GIF. And he’s like, we have [inaudible] is with us. And I’m like, how many people do you know named he fought and I pull it up and there is the literary agent for Elon Musk’s books. I’m the subtle argument. I mean this is pretty cool stuff. And then we took a group photo with the whole team. I mean it was an awesome party, awesome event. Um, awesome stuff. And so the book that I started working on with her is called trade ups, which is about the trade offs you have to make to upgrade your lifestyle. And it’s very specific. And she gave me the idea for that book and I’m working on that right now. All that’s available for free to download. It’s a no brainer Charles, even if we’re top in Google, what would happen to colon fitness if you did not offer your clients a no brainer?

Speaker 5:
Well, if we didn’t have a no brainer, then they would, it would be a brainer and it would be difficult to make that decision, which would probably have a lot less sales. You would have a lot less sales.

Speaker 1:
Does it cheapen your brand to have a great offer, right? Colon fitness.com

Speaker 5:
no, it doesn’t actually just we’ve, we’ve been pushing a lot of these different incentives that you’ve been showing us last three years and it’s definitely captured a lot more sales.

Speaker 1:
Kendall, let’s see if we can do this. Let’s see if you can film the TV while you also are on the mic. Let’s see if we can do that. I bet you can. I bet you can see it’s Kendall’s dude now video in the show here. And uh, uh, Kindle is a young whippersnapper. He means broad, flexible Kennedy. You brought your wife to the Christmas party, man. Uh, did she have a good time?

Speaker 9:
Uh, yes. Yes she did.

Speaker 1:
She hasn’t got a good time. So talk to me about it. What did you enjoy the conference or what kind of things did you learn at the conference?

Speaker 9:
Um, so there was, there was a bunch of stuff at the conference. Um, I learned that it’s very hard to uh, pull focus whenever, uh, Michael Levine is walking about two feet in front of you. Um, but no, I’ve tons of stuff. Like I now actually have a full set list I have now at my desk at home. Uh, yup. All of the action items I need to do to get my, um, personal media business, um, to the next level. Um, I’ve now been looking up how to get, um, my, get a WordPress and get that hosted by, um, GoDaddy, godaddy.com. Yeah. Um, so I’ve, I’ve got a whole list of action items now that I’m trying to take.

Speaker 1:
I just, I, I think that somebody out there, Charles is ger over-complicating this right now. Just like people overcomplicate fitness. And I’m not asking you to attack our listeners, but I’d like for you to pretend for a second that, um, you knew, and by the way you do, but let’s pretend that you knew that the listeners are word just for daily activities away from making millions of dollars. Absolutely. They’re just for, they have a good product and a great service, great service, great product, and they’re just hidden. There is no vision because they don’t know the visit. They’re not doing the visits, they’re hidden. What encouragement would you have for the listeners out there who are going, yeah, but I don’t have time to do it. What encouragement would you have for them?

Speaker 5:
Well, these action items that you’ve given them, um, they can of course pull up all those resources to look at it. The show notes will actually give you better, uh, step-by-step methods to following, um, uh, you can reach out to clay and his team for business coaching. But those four, you will literally give us like three to four action items every week. And you just literally knock out just three to four little things every week, every week. And then next thing you know, you look back 24 months later and you’re up to two fold and gross sales. Your margins are better, you have better no-brainers. Your presence is just dominating on every social media site. Everything’s pulling into better leads. You’ve got better systems. So yeah.

Speaker 1:
Why do you, why do you think that we don’t take on more than 160 clients? Cause you, you personally trained to people. What happens once you start to have, because the typical client you would train, I think you would do it with three sessions a week or five a week, about three generally three sessions a week. So with your schedule, you’re working it by 80 hours a week. At the time she could probably only work with maybe 20 clients. Personally at that time, maybe 25 number, you had a certain max.

Speaker 5:
Well there’s a certain point where you feel like you’re not giving really your, your quality is declining a little bit. Just trying to run through numbers.

Speaker 1:
And, and my key is to never, you know, you kind of want to know where the decline number is. So you never go there.

Speaker 5:
Well, I think for you and me, we thrive on excellence and trying to really work with good people that are implementers, really people that want to follow the diet in the workout. People that really want to follow action items. You like to see success, you like to see your customers get results, you want to see your business coach. Businesses really thrive and grow and so you can really kind of be selective like you are now. Like you have 200 and some that one and you already have a pretty week. Yeah, you’re a very full load so you can be very selective and uh, yeah, that’s, that’s the big thing is, is uh, what was the exact question?

Speaker 1:
Well, I mean, but I wanted to ask your opinion as to why because you and I [inaudible] and I do was very similar. Yeah. You as a personal trainer is very similar to being a business coach. Very similar coaches. And again, somebody out there said, well, why don’t you take on more clients? What starts to happen when you have like at your gyms now you don’t know the average member member, but they don’t expect to know. You know, but what happens if you have a coaching program where people expect for T it gets weird. Yeah. You know I felt bad cause we had got the conference named Wesley who’s attended, I think it’s [inaudible], I think this is his third conference. And he walked up to, he didn’t have his name tag on yet and I knew it was like a [inaudible] sound. So I’m like, there’s not a whole lot of, but I, I kinda was like, so initially I was like w Willie and there’s a lot more Wesleys than Willie’s, but I’m like woo.

Speaker 1:
And he’s like West. And I’m like, Oh. And I hate when it gets so big. You don’t know everybody. Yup. And so if you’re out there today, we have so many free resources there to help you. And we also have an online school. You go to thrive time show.com you click on business coaching, it’s 19 bucks a month. You get access to thousands of videos. And I would just say this to the listeners. I’ve got one more little uh, uh, thing I want to give to you here. If you are, I’m online today and you’re going, man, I, I’d like to know more about this. He fought Reese Jindal, um, her company’s called Foundry media.com and there you can see all the books that she’s and are not books. They’ll all the books that her firm has represented. And then if you type in, uh, um, if you do a search right, the, uh, you’d have to do a search for top literary agent shares her story on YouTube. You can see my interview with, uh, [inaudible]. You can hear it on YouTube or you just type in [inaudible] thrive time show. You can hear my a 47 minute long interview with the world’s top literary agent, but thrive nation, if you’re out there today, um, don’t just be a hearer, be a doer, don’t just be an intender, be it, be a contender. Uh, Z. We’ve been teaching people about search engine optimization while you’ve been leading a where you are leading a board meeting or is it a conference call or what? Exactly.

Speaker 10:
Yeah. What happened was communication’s the key. When someone says two o’clock and you commit to it and they mean Pacific standard time, you, you know sometimes when you’ve got friends around the world and they want to do something at a certain time, you go, yeah, I get you at that time and then you find out that really for your time it means four o’clock it causes some conflicts.

Speaker 1:
Well, as we wrapping up today’s show, we’ve been talking to, we’ve been teaching the listeners about where there is no, there is no visit them. The people perish. Your online presence parishes when you’re here, when you don’t have video reviews, optimized images come on. When you don’t have a search engine optimization content being added every day and you don’t have more reviews being added, it added all the time. Z, I mean preach the goodness for somebody out there who’s going, I know that this is what works. I know the coladas just share with me the story. I know that Devin has shared the story, but Z for somebody out there who says, yeah, but I just don’t know, will it work

Speaker 10:
back in the day, the advice that I would have given you 25 years ago was to start your business with an a a. And you know why? I mean you would have been a best fitness, right? You would have been a best plumbing.

Speaker 1:
All star DJs,

Speaker 10:
triple a

Speaker 1:
Tricia I want started a fictitious company called always in for every wedding DJ service.

Speaker 10:
And why? Because back in the day it was the move. Yeah, because the move was the yellow pages and they listed it alphabetically. And so people would start to call the first one on the list just like they do now on the goop I like to do on the Google now. Right. You know, the top one gets the majority of calls and number two gets the next majority. Number three, they’re not many people going down to page seven to find what they’re looking for. So that was the advice back then. And it worked. And that’s why now you could tell the businesses that started a long time ago for their name, just telling you. Right. And then the other move was you had a bigger picture or, or you put pictures of your staff in there and then you’d sometimes ad people write about, Hey,

Speaker 1:
so hold on, let me show this to you real quick. Let me look at this real quick. You got what you got of your old ads will come gather. Okay, I want to show this to you. This is, let’s do a search real quick here for Joplin gyms. I’m just going to show you, so you can see this does this glory. Um, and we have, let’s look at the first search result is Cola, then the second is planet, the third is 24 and then it’ll get them there. Now, video video, I was explaining this to bow your son the other day and he was like, Oh yeah, it’s sexy, it’s sexy. And then you look at us, we scroll down, then they’re here again. They’re here again. Look that they’re there again and then they, they’re there again and then they’re here against [inaudible]. Oh, they’re here again.

Speaker 1:
Facebook, they’re here. All the images they’re here. Say, say somebody out there back about that. And it just doesn’t happen. It just doesn’t happen. You’ve got to do it. And if you don’t want to do it, hire someone to do it for you. But you know, you really need to oversee it and really be dictatorship about it and make sure that it’s getting done. You know, 3000 plus almost almost 4,000 reviews. That just doesn’t happen because you say an office meeting once a month. Okay everybody remember we’re, you know, get a review, get a review, cause

Speaker 10:
important. You know what I mean? Now I’ll see you next month and I’ll tell you the same thing. But you know, go get ’em. Coke-Cola go get ’em guys, come on, pump some iron. Let’s go get ’em now Billy Dubin canning enough, she might need a tan a little bit more. Okay, let’s go. Come on. Everybody wants to rule the world. Everybody does. Everybody should go check this song out, right? Those are changed. And you know what? You’ve got to change with the times. Clay, you got to everybody out there. I want you to go to Spotify right now and queue up tears for fears. Everyone wants to, everyone. Everyone needs to let the stream, that base listen to it, stream it. Come on. Everybody wants to rule the world. Why not? They do. Somebody has to. And then people don’t want to do the action steps needed to rule the world.

Speaker 10:
You know what some people do? They just don’t know I’m clay and sometimes we don’t know what we don’t know. And that’s what this show is about. We’re saying, Hey listen, here’s the steps. Here’s what you do today. You know, and we, we, we make fun about what we did in the past. You know, you make fun about, you know, being the full page jab, yellow page. You make fun about doing the moves, you know the moves. But now today these are the moves and the very movable you could do them. You can do, you can do this. It’s within your capability. Trust me. And if you don’t know how to do it, just check in with us. We’ll kind of walk you through it. What we did was go to our in person workshop. We’ve got our online, you know, scroll bucks a month. We’ve got, I mean it’s nothing.

Speaker 1:
See, check this out. Don’t know, not getting old. If you don’t know, now you know we’ve, we’ve been talking about this, you know, now you know notorious B, I G couldn’t be here cause he is dead. And if you don’t know, that’s a lame excuse. But I have two tips out there. One once, avoid gang violence, joining a gang, don’t do that. Trust VIT move, don’t do that. And then the second is get the visitor aligned today. Get the video reviews. Come on now. Get those image reviews. Come on, get those optimized images, add that search engine optimization content and get more reviews. Internet marketing is a process, not an event. My name is clay Clark. That’s dr Zellner. That’s Charles and Amber Cola. That’s Devin. And that’s Kendall who actually for a minute, Z, he filmed today while being a guest on the show. Wow, that’s incredible.

Speaker 1:
I asked her [inaudible] at its best. It’s a beautiful thing. You know what? This world is a beautiful place. Just grab it, have some fun. And for those of you out there want to start a business, you’ve got a business. We want to help you. We want to mentor you. We want to give you all this story. Email us, call us, send us a pigeon, however you want to communicate. We’re, we’re ready. Do we have a pitch your chicken Lufkin devil as a pigeon loft, right? For, for homing pigeons to come in and bring us messages? I don’t know about the technology exactly, but I believe that if you think it’s possible, it’s a good good technology works. You kind of like a an animal whisperer. You can do whatever you want. I’m just gonna message you. You do have horses though. Do you have kind of emotional connection with your own express?

Speaker 1:
It gets into the pony express with your w it can. People want to learn more about your ranch. How can they learn more about this? Can Z ranch O k.com if they want to just for fun. I think you’ve got like a drone thing of it. That’s really cool. Hey, by the way, I put some cool pictures up from the party. Did you see him yet? No. Where would I find him? Look at it and they’ll go to Twitter. Uh, do you do to type into Twitter, type in Twitter, clay, Clark and Z. Look at this. Picture this, this picture here. Okay, this picture here is our relationship. Look at this picture, this picture. This is, this is our relationship. This is what our relationship is. You look, you look, you look a little confused. I do look at least and then look at this. This is everyone’s having a good look at this.

Speaker 1:
Everyone’s having a good time. And then we got a picture of, well let’s get here. Let’s get a, we got a, he fought. They’re having a good time. Z that, that picture there that says the bromance that we have, but from, from clay to Z, it’s really incredible. And the whole, I love the group shot. I mean, how many employees did we have there? Like 300. Great, great team photo. I mean a hundred people. I got a lot of great team photos. Unfortunately. I think that we may, that may be our last time dude to be there. We may have outgrown that space. A great space. We’ve done it before there. But as it is, I mean when you, when you outgrow something, when things change you, once you adapt and you find a new place, right? You build a new building or you build a new building.

Speaker 1:
By the way, can we talk about that? Let’s talk about it. Yeah. So, so what’s the, how would the soil report come back with, what’s the word on the street? Let me show you. Where are we going to build? Let me show it to you and I’ll pull it up on the screen. And then Devin, can you pull it up to the colon so they can see too, if you do a search for thrive time show and Jenks I’m pulling up on the map here and in Z we’re going to pull it up on the map and you want to look at the Google earth image. And uh, so here we go. This is our office now. Here we are and we’re just going to go four miles West on 91st and we’re going four miles, uh, West on 91st. There we are. And so all this land has been purchased basically.

Speaker 1:
And this right here, this right here is a Greenbelt, so no one can ever build there. It’s a reservoir, so it’s always going to be green. And we got a, we’re going to build the house right here at the high point of a 600 foot Hill overlooking everything. And then the building’s going to go right here and be hidden behind this whole thing. So that’s that. That is the process, my friend. So those of you that had been out to our conference, which is in a really, really cool, sexy space right now, we are going to redo that. Yup. On your, on this new property. It’s going to be a kid. It’s gonna be called camp Clark and chicken palace is the property chicken and pork. IOM, maybe chicken and palace. I think Paolo palace has a good palace is a fitting word by the way.

Speaker 1:
It’s a beautiful thing. It shows our love for the chickens. Not a lot of people that are chicken gets injured and a lot of people will um, go ahead and pay to have the chicken, a stitch to re return to health. But we do well, I think it’s important to note that your chickens are free range. In fact, we’ve had Tom, your Turkey visit us here in the recording studios on multiple occasions. That’s free range. Oh, and heyday rain. Did we have a guy? Did Devin did. The guy just left us a review on Google. Did he even attend our workshop? I don’t think he did. I think he did. Well we get a bad review or something, but he didn’t even attend. Well does that, he gets into reviews. He can. That’s what we’re saying though. Real talk. There it is. There it is. I don’t know who this guy is. He didn’t even attend, but that’s okay. Yeah, that’s, that’s, that’s the reality of anytime you pull up your Google map, that’s the reality. That’s the world we live in, folks. No matter what the job you do, you’re going to get some bad reviews. Could. It’s still my joy. It could if I dwelled on it, but don’t, don’t, don’t negative dwelling. Let’s end the show with the boom now. Here we go. The positive. Boom. There you go. All right, ready? I’m ready.
