(Speaker 2)
Time. You can lose money and make it back. You can lose possessions and replace them. But once an hour is gone, it is gone forever. That’s why the calendar must be treated like gold. If you don’t protect it, someone else will spend it for you.
(Speaker 2)
People say they don’t have enough time. That is not true. Everyone has the same 24 hours. The difference is not the amount. It’s the allocation. The winners in life don’t manage more time.
(Speaker 2)
They manage the same time more carefully. They guard it, invest it, and spend it with intention. The losers let it slip through their hands, traded for distractions, interruptions, and obligations that don’t matter. Start simple. Block the first hour of your day for yourself. Call it your golden hour.
(Speaker 2)
Use it to read, plan, exercise, or reflect. Guard it fiercely. If you give away your first hour, the world will steal the rest. But if you keep it, the tone of the whole day changes. You begin from strength, not weakness. Next, assign time to priorities before anything else.
(Speaker 2)
Don’t let work, meetings, or demands crowd out the essentials. If health is a priority, write down the time for it. If family matters, mark it in bold. If learning is vital, protect the slot. Too often people treat personal priorities as optional and outside requests as mandatory. Reverse that.
(Speaker 2)
What builds your future comes first. What doesn’t fit your vision is negotiated after. Here’s a simple way to work on this. Take your calendar for the next 30 days. Block time for what matters most. Health, relationships, learning, planning, rest.
(Speaker 2)
Then defend those blocks with the same seriousness as if they were business contracts. If someone tries to intrude, you don’t say, I’m free. You say, I already have an appointment. And you do. It’s with your future. The calendar is not just a tool for scheduling.
(Speaker 2)
It’s a weapon against drift. It prevents days from being stolen by the trivial, the urgent, the meaningless. It is your shield against wasted time. Protect it like gold, because that’s exactly what it is, compressed life. And if you don’t value it, no one else will. Think of your calendar as a bank account.
(Speaker 2)
Every appointment, every meeting, every activity is a withdrawal. Spend it carelessly, and the account is empty. Spend it wisely, and it compounds into wealth. Wealth of progress, achievement, and satisfaction. If you protect your calendar, you protect your future. If you waste it, the future is stolen one small block at a time.
(Speaker 2)
So how do you protect it? By saying no. by blocking time for what matters most, by treating commitments to yourself as seriously as commitments to others. Too many people keep promises to strangers and break promises to themselves. If family matters, mark it in bold. If learning is vital, protect the slot.
(Speaker 2)
Too often people treat personal priorities as optional and outside requests as mandatory. Reverse that. What builds your future comes first. What doesn’t fit your vision is negotiated after.
(Speaker 7)
Since I’ve been working with you, I would say from maybe two a week to probably close to 20 a week.
(Speaker 3)
Repeat that one more time. You went from how many leads to how many leads?
(Speaker 7)
Two a week to 20 a week. And that’s calls in our office, real calls. Name of the company is Roof Angel. We’re a commercial and residential roofing company. Currently we’re servicing Henderson, Kentucky, Owensboro, Kentucky, really the western northern part of Kentucky and south end of Indiana. Yeah, my first and last name is Jake Gibson and the web address is it’s www .
(Speaker 53)
roofangel .
(Speaker 3)
com. Again, for everybody out there that might have blacked out when they heard that, I think you said you went from two calls per week or two leads a week to 20 leads a week. Maybe I got that wrong.
(Speaker 7)
Can you maybe share again just how much of an increase you’ve seen in the leads in these first 120 days? Yeah, the increase, I mean, what would that, that’s like 400%, maybe more. Sorry, that’d be 1000%, I guess, right? Two to 20.
(Speaker 3)
Um, correct me if I’m wrong. Um, it’s wild.
(Speaker 7)
I just, it’s unbelievable. People are mad at me. A lot of companies here. It’s not just roofing companies. They’re mad at me. Um, because they’re like, what are you doing that we’re not doing?
(Speaker 7)
Um, there’s a lot of talk that just does not make sense to people. And I love it. I want to keep doing it. So. Yeah, so my big claim to fame roofers in a lot of industries, they have a bad name. So I want to I want to make sure I want to set that straight and I want to set a higher expectation.
(Speaker 7)
So when we go out to roofs, we a lot of times we do free repairs. Even we bring a caught gun, we bring all the stuff we need on top of that roof. And if it’s a simple We’re fixing it for free, not for free because we want a Google review or a video review. But in that case, we’re telling them, we’re saying, hey, next time a storm comes by, we want to be your roofer. So give us a call.
(Speaker 3)
We’re not chasing money. We’re chasing we’re chasing just doing the right thing. Folks, on today’s show, we’re going to interview a wonderful client who is kind of interesting because I’ve known of this man for years, and I’ve had the opportunity to work on a very close level with this man’s uncle, I believe. So this man, his uncle, is the pastor of a church called His Church. It’s Pastor Brian Gibson. It’s called His Church.
(Speaker 3)
And I’ve had the opportunity to work with both pastors, Brian and Jesse Gibson, for years. And I kept hearing rumors about this family member they have that’s got the entrepreneurial spirit and this guy who’s going to go on to become super successful. And so we’ve had the opportunity to now work with the founder of roofangel .
(Speaker 53)
com.
(Speaker 52)
And I believe the nephew of Pastor Brian Gibson, Jay Gibson, welcome onto the Thrive Time Show.
(Speaker 7)
How are you?
(Speaker 3)
I’m great. How are you, sir? Folks, on today’s show, the theme of today’s show is do this every day and you’ll become successful. What?
(Speaker 45)
Do this every day and you’ll become successful.
(Speaker 3)
So I want to get into the things you need to do every single day to build habitual success. And here to join us today is a man who’s had success as a member of a SWAT team. What? This guy has been a SWAT team member. Are you serious? I’m serious.
(Speaker 3)
This guy has been a very successful law enforcement member. What? This guy has been a professional athlete. This man has been a bestselling author. This man has been a movie film producer. This guy owns a medical clinic.
(Speaker 3)
This guy has biceps that are terrifying to the average person. Welcome to the Thrive Time Show. How are you, sir? That was quite the intro there, man. I’m doing fine. Thank you. So I want to get into the five things that I believe everybody needs to do every single day to become successful.
(Speaker 3)
And I want to get your thoughts on these things. So first off, you have to have a predetermined time every day you’re going to wake up and having a morning routine. Now, I’m not going to go super deep into the weeds of what your routine should be, but I am saying everybody watching this show, you have to have a predefined, intentional morning routine, a plan how you start your day, you finish your day.
(Speaker 6)
Dr. Sherwood, let’s talk about your routine. How do you like to start your day every day? And I’ll be taking notes here. Yeah, I wake up at 4 .10. Why 4 .10? Because it’s between 4 and 4 .15, it’s an odd number of times.
(Speaker 6)
So I wake up at 4 .10 because I like to set my alarm to that way. And the first thing I do when I get up is I get myself ready. I’ll go usually have my quiet time. I usually, I will pray and I pray specifically for certain orders and certain things. I pray, first of all, thank God for who he is. And I ask him to forgive me for who I’m not and ask him to help me bless and forgive other people.
(Speaker 6)
And then I bless my wife, pray for her. I’m going to make sure that I ask for wisdom. I’m going to pray for other people. I’m going to ask for protection and provision in my life. And then go on about my business. Then I go to the gym.
(Speaker 3)
I work out, exercise.
(Speaker 47)
I usually listen to something in my ears, educational wise, while I’m doing that.
(Speaker 3)
So I’m trying to kill off two birds with one stone. Then I go to work, full schedule every day, just like that. Every day. So you got to have that routine. Now, if you’re watching this show today, and you say, Clay, what are you doing? Just to be super clear, I like that.
(Speaker 3)
I’m saying this is what you should do. This is what I do. Every single day, I go to bed at 9. So last night kind of was incredible. I was a little bit like 830 last night because I mean it was kind of exciting But it was because my kids who I love so much They went out to Target is kind of like a kids only trip to Target. I’m thinking I picked up our 27 minutes of sleep right there So I went to bed and I set that alarm for three.
(Speaker 3)
I think you say why do I wake up at three? I just have a lot of things I have to do in my life that require a lot of deep thinking and I need to be uninterrupted for a couple hours and And so that’s what I do. So, but again, whatever it is that you want to do, I’m saying to you that you need to have a daily routine. Now, step number two, this is something that Dr. Sherry does very well. If you’re watching this show, some of us do these things well.
(Speaker 3)
Some of us could do better in these things. Some of us are great at these things. Some of us are not so great at these things. I am not saying that Dr. Sherwood is perfect in every area, nor am I saying that I’m perfect in every area. I’m just telling you, these are the five things that you need to do. Number two, you need to make a to -do list for your day.
(Speaker 3)
You need to ordain your destiny. So today I’m working on some stuff behind the scenes that will come to fruition in June of 2026. It is October. So I’m working on some stuff right now. You might call it long range or mid range or long term, but I’m doing some things right now today with urgency today that I won’t see the fruit of until June of next year. I am sowing seeds right now for a harvest that I won’t see until late June.
(Speaker 3)
I am in the process, or the process as the Canadians say, of doing things urgently today that will have no payoff until late June. So Dr. Sherwood, let’s talk about that, the to -do list. What’s your relationship with a to -do list? Well, I have an electronic to -do list that is kind of like yours. It’s a schedule that I try to get done. But then I also have this.
(Speaker 3)
This is my written to -do list. And actually, I love to, some people can see this, scratching the lines out. I love to scratch things out and make messes with a pen because that shows me that I’ve got things done. And I make that list, update it every day, and I just start going down the list.
(Speaker 6)
Those are my urgent things that I’ve got to get done.
(Speaker 3)
The things that I plan electronically, I’m going to get those done as well. All this is designed to set the tone for both today And then tomorrow to you mentioned what might happen for you in June of 26 I’m now going through the list, my wife and I strategically planning 2026 and so it’s it’s really important that you never put off the things you must do today. to prepare yourself for the best days tomorrow. Now, next action item I do. I do this every single day. And again, I’m not saying that I am perfect.
(Speaker 3)
I’m just saying that this is what I do every day. And every successful person I’ve ever been around does this every day. I’m not saying Dr. Sherwood’s perfect. I just don’t know about what I’m saying. Sometimes when people hear information about how we can all do better, sometimes people like to say, oh, yeah, well, if you’re so good at it, then how come? There’s always that sort of thing.
(Speaker 3)
So number three. is I plan my calendar. I make a calendar. I design my day, and I make a calendar for the things I’m going to get done every day. It’s in my calendar. And again, Dr. Sherwood, I’m going to take notes here.
(Speaker 3)
So as you’re sharing, I’m taking notes for all the listeners out there. But again, your calendar, what gets scheduled gets done, folks.
(Speaker 6)
What gets scheduled gets done. What doesn’t get scheduled does not get done.
(Speaker 62)
Dr. Sherwood, back to you, sir.
(Speaker 6)
Well, and what gets scheduled gets your time planning and attention as well, you know.
(Speaker 45)
And so when I look at the whole deal about planning, I’ve got a schedule that goes from generally 8 a .
(Speaker 6)
m. to probably 6 30 p . m. every day and usually every 30 minutes, sometimes 15 minutes. It’s all planned for, including when I might or might not have lunch. I plan these Mondays with you, you know, at 3 p .
(Speaker 6)
m. Central for a number of years now. And it’s just part of the normal schedule.
(Speaker 3)
And so I think that creates consistency, it creates integrity, and it creates trustworthiness. And I think the biggest thing that people miss today, they don’t keep a schedule because they basically lie to themselves. I’m going to do this someday. I’m not going to do this someday. And it becomes a perpetual lie. Unless you have it scheduled, it won’t get done.
(Speaker 3)
Let’s recap these things. One, every day you want to have a set routine, every day. Two, you want to have a to -do list. You want to have a to -do list. Oh, yes, you do. Three, you want to have a calendar.
(Speaker 3)
You want to have a calendar because schedule gets done. Now, today I’m taking my kids out shopping for a mom because we’re starting the Christmas season. hunting season now my wife doesn’t know this and i can say this on my show you know i can say it because she’s not going to listen to my show no no my wife listens to other shows my wife will listen to other shows but she will not be listening to this show no no and you know what so i’m telling you folks this is what i’m starting the shopping i start my christmas shopping for my wife in october and you say really it’s something i do it’s in my calendar i block out time i’m taking my kids with me and we’re going to be doing this virtually every night for the next couple weeks we go out looking for little accoutrements and things that mom likes it’s in the schedule what gets scheduled gets done move number Before coming in hot, I choose to only surround myself with positive people. I just cannot be around urgent emotional people. And Dr. Sherwood, I want to get your thoughts on this. I cannot be around urgent emotional people.
(Speaker 3)
I can’t. And so I try to only hire people, work with people, connect with people that are high -functioning, get -it -done people. And if somebody needs a little coaching up, no problem. But I’m just not going to surround myself with a perpetual doom cloud. Can you talk about that for a second? Why is that?
(Speaker 3)
Again, you’re a best -selling author. You’re a film producer. You’re a doctor. You’ve been a pro athlete. Why are you intentional about the five people that you spend the most time with? Well, as we know, the five people you spend the most time with, you’ll become like the most and you become like you hang around.
(Speaker 3)
And the Bible talks about, you know, you know, bad company creates, you know, your morals as well. But I think urgent, highly emotional people can be characterized or categorized like this. They’re usually spastic, chaotic, and very stressful to be around. And they become unpredictable. And I don’t want to hang around that because stress stresses me out. I don’t want to have conversations that are just like, so reactionary that it becomes redundant.
(Speaker 3)
I don’t need to hear about what’s negative. There’s enough stuff that’s negative out here, man. I need to know about what we’re going to do with what we have, where we are, so we can make our best better every day. And those are the people I want to hang out with. And people that do that, I’ll tell you right now, your circle will get small, and that’s okay. But I’d rather have a small circle of people that can help you grow than a whole bunch of weeds and limbs that will help you die. All right, so what I’m gonna do now is I got one more pro tip, then I’m gonna bring on Robert and McKenna to ask you some follow -up questions.
(Speaker 3)
And again, folks, very few people have been a pro athlete. Very few people have been a member of the SWAT team, which is kind of like the elite level of the police. Very few people have been a best -selling author. Very few people have been a movie producer. Very few people have been a doctor. Very few people have become a medical clinic owner guy.
(Speaker 3)
And very few people have biceps as large as yours. So it’s a thing where you’re doing it in a lot of areas. And I want to make sure everybody out there understands this, that you have had success in these areas. I’m not saying that you’re perfect. I’m not saying I’m perfect. What I am saying is that you’ve been able to produce some fruit in your life because you’re very intentional in these areas.
(Speaker 3)
So number one, recapping, you got to plan your day. Number two, you got to make a to -do list. Number three, make a calendar. What gets scheduled gets done. Number four, you just choose to only be around positive people. And number five, only engage in a shalom, win -win relationship.
(Speaker 3)
You don’t work with people that are leeches. I’ve seen you do it. You don’t hang out with leeches. It has to be a symbiotic win -win relationship. Can you talk about why you’re intentional and only engaging in win -win relationships? When you look at win -win relationships, you’re talking about encouraging to get courage.
(Speaker 3)
That’s why the Bible says, iron sharpens iron. So one man encourages another one moment, encourages another. The bottom line with the encouragement, if you have someone in this iron sharpening iron concept, you sharpen their knife to make them sharper, and they take a rock to yours and make it more dull. That is not a win -win relationship. That does not make you more sharp. It makes you more dull.
(Speaker 3)
And those relationships like that will suck the very life out of you. because if you’re a giver like you and I are, an encourager like you and I are, you want to make sure that it works both ways. And that’s a relationship that helps both parties. And so if you don’t hang out in a relationship that helps both parties, you’re hanging out in a relationship that’s going to be destruction to one party, and typically that party is you. Robert, what mic are you on right there? What number does that mic say on the mic stand there?
(Speaker 3)
It should say a number. Mic six. Are you on mic six over there?
(Speaker 61)
Mic number five.
(Speaker 21)
OK, mic number five.
(Speaker 3)
Can you hear me now? Yeah. OK, so I’ll talk in the mic. You’re there? OK. Can you hear me?
(Speaker 3)
Yeah. So what question would you have for Dr. Sherwood there, coming in hot from mic five? What question would you have? Again, I’m just recapping the moves. If you’re watching this show, Atomic Habits, great book. I’ve interviewed the author of Atomic Habits on the show twice.
(Speaker 3)
You’ve got to have a plan. Or you’re going to lose, right? I mean, it seems obvious that you wouldn’t want to start to build a car without a blueprint or a house without a blueprint. You want to have a plan, right? Make a recipe for the food that doesn’t taste horrible, right?
(Speaker 18)
So superwoman number one, you’ve got to develop a winning morning routine. You’ve got to have a winning morning routine. Two, make a to -do list.
(Speaker 3)
Three, make a calendar. Four, be intentional about who’s in your life.
(Speaker 6)
Five, engage in only win -win relationships.
(Speaker 11)
Robert, what question would you have for Dr. Sherwood?
(Speaker 3)
So Clay always says that you end up being like the five people you’re around the most throughout the day. And you talk a little bit about win -win, how you only want relationships that say iron sharpens iron. How do you cut out people that don’t meet that criteria exactly? Oh, Dr. Sherwood, back to you.
(Speaker 6)
Great question, Robert. So here’s the here’s the concept of this, you know, cutting out might be another word for pruning. Right. I think we all understand the concept of pruning and if you want the tree to grow you, you have to prune or quote cut off in quote those dead limbs that sort of are sucking the life out of that tree. And typically they’re on the bottom half of that tree.
(Speaker 6)
So you cut those dead limbs off and that tree will begin to flourish. It’s not about not loving people. And that’s very important to understand, Rob. We’re supposed to love people, period, whether we hang out with them or not. Some people you need to love from a greater distance.
(Speaker 3)
And that’s how I choose to do it. I’m not going to have them in my inner circle, but I’m not going to, not love them. I’m not going to have deep conversations with them, but I will have conversation with them. So think about concentric circles, the five people you hang out with the most, you have that deepest conversation with, business relationships, et cetera, perhaps. But outside of that, you begin to have these concentric circles that enlarge, so you can love these people at distance. And it’s not about excluding them.
(Speaker 3)
It’s about putting them in a place where they can be successful on their own, as opposed to leeching the life out of you. You know, one thing that’s crazy, I remember when I went to college, I went to college early. So I finished high school early. So when you, in Minnesota, in many states, if you finish your classes early, you can choose to go to college instead of going to high school or something. So my senior year, you know, I’m going to college. And I just remember Dr. Sherwood thinking to myself, this is fun.
(Speaker 3)
Choose who I’m around and not have to be around who I’ve always been around. And some people I could, you know, but a lot of times geographical proximity, maybe your parents chose these friends or they family friends. But I loved that I could completely choose who I wanted to be around and who I didn’t want to be. And at college, when I went to Oral Roberts University, there was like three of us that would get together. And one guy went on to become a super successful pastor. One guy became a top 40 pop musician guy.
(Speaker 3)
And there’s myself. And all three of us, we would be operating in a very intentional world.
(Speaker 60)
And everybody else was just, I don’t know what people were doing, but they weren’t
(Speaker 6)
intentional about designing their life. And so I think that’s one thing that’s exciting is you can design your life. But I remember just doing that for the first time and thinking, man, this is interesting. I can change my path. McKenna, you’re helping clients to build their path, to go down a path, to build success. What question would you have for Dr. Sherwood about helping your clients maybe design a schedule or to go from where they are to where they want to be?
(Speaker 6)
Yeah, so what is the most surprising or impactful habit that you’ve created to help manage stress and prevent burnout? So this is going to be a unique habit, McKenna, that I’ll give you right now. And it’s going to sound simplistic, but it’s a habit that will lead into greater things. Consider it an infusion of some fire that builds the momentum behind it, right? So I look at the day, and the day’s got 1 ,440 minutes in it. That’s what it’s got.
(Speaker 6)
So I’m going to take one minute, 60 seconds. And McKenna, I’m going to do this every day at least. I want to be quiet for 60 seconds. I’m not going to talk. I’m not going to have anybody talking to me.
(Speaker 3)
There’s no dogs around, no people around, no spouses around, no radio around, no cell phone around. And I’m going to sit there really quiet for 60 seconds, one minute out of that 1 ,440. And that will shift the body’s systems around from a sympathetic nervous system, which is your cortisol being dumped out to do their fighting or flighting, it will shift it to the parasympathetic which reduces the cortisol to more relaxing state and it will slow your heart rate down probably 10 beats per minute at least during that 60 seconds. I’m going to tell people to work on diaphragmatic breathing which means to push your breath down into your belly. In other words, if you breathe inward or inhale and you can even try this right now when you’re listening to my voice, the hand goes in the belly and we’re inhale, the belly comes out and the shoulders don’t move.
(Speaker 3)
And forcing that breath down like that, it takes a lot of practice. And doing that one minute of silence per day will shift your system pretty much on command from the stress side to the relaxation side. I knew you’d have some wild, wild answer. I knew that would happen. I just knew that was going to happen with you. I knew there would be a wild answer in there.
(Speaker 3)
Robert, back to you. What question would you have again?
(Speaker 9)
Because what I find is people say, I want to become successful.
(Speaker 3)
And Dr. Sherwood, I’ve had family members that have moved to Oklahoma. Specifically, they go, I’m going to move to Oklahoma. And I want to work for you. And I go, I don’t know that you want to do that. And they go, no, I do. I said, no, I don’t.
(Speaker 3)
I don’t know. Why don’t you just shadow for a week? Why don’t you just like for a week? Why don’t you just roll with me for a week? And we’ll see. In a handful of times, it’s gone great where they’ve shadowed.
(Speaker 3)
They’re like, OK, I get it. You have a different schedule than the average person. It makes sense to me. I get it. You’re going to bed at 9. You’re waking up at 3. These things make sense to me now.
(Speaker 3)
And now I understand how you get stuff done. I get it. Other people are like, hard pass, hard pass. You’re going to bed at 9. I can’t do it. I’m going to be up till midnight.
(Speaker 3)
I got to watch Netflix. I got to. You’re intentional about your friends. I can’t do it. I just want to hang out with anybody who talks to me.
(Speaker 18)
And so being intentional about your life, it’s very not normal. So Robert, what question would you have?
(Speaker 3)
What question would you have? Again, if you have a client out there that’s trying to have massive success, by default, no one has a to -do list. No one has a calendar. Nobody’s intentional about their friendships.
(Speaker 6)
What question would you have there, Robert?
(Speaker 3)
I guess, how would you begin to incorporate your to -do list in your calendar?
(Speaker 59)
Like, where’s the beginning, uh, starting steps of that?
(Speaker 6)
Well, I think the first thing you have to do is, is get a piece of paper out and a pen, honest to God. I mean, it sounds basic, but, but honestly, when you’re sitting down with somebody, Robert, for the first time, you say, write down the five things you want to get done and just start right there. And once you’re down one, two, three, four, five, the next question you might ask them is, okay, which one of these is the most highest priority and put one and then write in that order and then start with that knockout one.
(Speaker 3)
And then when they finish one, I’m serious, you get the pin out and you scratch through that thing. Oh, it’s a beautiful thing. It’s awesome. And they can see the list go down and that, that will chart somebody out, but you start really basic. basic, basic basis where they can’t fail. And by accomplishing one of the things in the to -do list that day, you want to instill in them that’s not a failure, but you can get to tomorrow.
(Speaker 3)
Right. Moving with that. Now, McKenna, I just wanted to, for those of you out there that don’t know, McKenna is typesetting a book. She is, or books, plural.
(Speaker 38)
She is doing, I don’t know how many video projects.
(Speaker 25)
She’s working with clients.
(Speaker 3)
Robert, just for full disclosure, he’s managing stores. He’s also, so he’s managing stores. He’s also learning the consulting trade. So there’s multiple things.
(Speaker 2)
And I would argue, you know, McKenna, you’re probably going to learn more about graphic design in six months here than probably four years of college anywhere.
(Speaker 3)
I mean, how would you describe, McKenna, what you’re working on and what you’re learning, or the rate of learning right now?
(Speaker 19)
Well, you’re correct.
(Speaker 41)
I feel like I’ve learned a lot more in six months than I have in my four years of college before.
(Speaker 3)
Is it overwhelming? Is it good?
(Speaker 18)
Do you like learning a lot? Is it bad?
(Speaker 3)
Is it terrible? Are you nauseous? I like having a packed schedule. I mean, it can get overwhelming, but I like doing things. Robert, what about you? You like having a packed schedule?
(Speaker 3)
Oh, I love it. It makes the day go by a little bit faster, and I just feel like I’m more in control of the day. Ha ha, I’ve tricked you into where I wanted to go. So Dr. Sherwood, this is my final question I have for you. People tell me all the time, they say, man, this is what happens all the time. I see it.
(Speaker 3)
It’s a pattern. I’ve seen it for years. Someone will come into my office, Dr. Sherwood, and they’ll say, Clay, I want to become super successful. And they do.
(Speaker 20)
They do it.
(Speaker 3)
They do it. and then they’re super successful we had one guy I’ll be very vague about him but he was here for 10 years and he was like you know I just I feel like I want to go on vacation so he goes on vacation now he’s depressed It’s a weird cycle. He’s like, goes on vacation. He comes back. I said, how was the trip? He’s like, I was terrible.
(Speaker 3)
Why was it terrible? I don’t know. I didn’t have anything to do. It was horrible. And I see this thing where it’s like, I feel like the human, the commercials are pitching. You want to do nothing.
(Speaker 3)
The commercial says do nothing. TV says do nothing. Uh, the goal is to do nothing. And then the people that do nothing are nothing and they feel nothing and then they get depressed. And so what would you say to somebody out there? Cause the world likes to say the moment you get onto like an intense diet, The moment people hook up with Sherwood, sir, they start going to your medical clinic and they start losing weight, people are like, why don’t you want to have a brownie, Carl?
(Speaker 3)
You used to be a brownie eater. You know, and it’s like, people hate it when you’re intentional about your diet, when you’re intentional about your schedule, people hate it. When you start to have a packed schedule, people start to go, oh no, hey, hey, hey, hey. Don’t be leaving the plantation, man. This is how we live here. What is that?
(Speaker 3)
Why does it irritate people so much when you become an intentional person?
(Speaker 6)
Dr. Sherwood, why does it irritate people when you become an intentional person?
(Speaker 3)
Because it brings about the intense feelings inside of them and what they’re not. It brings about, because I really believe that everybody is wired to be busy. Our hands are made to grab things, our legs are made to walk, our minds made to think or we’re designed to be busy people, hunter gatherers, you know, consumers, planters, builders, conceivers, you know, dreamers, vision, etc. And when you when you don’t do that, In the whole human experience, you’re missing something. But when you see somebody that’s doing that, you’re not doing that inside, it brings about the insecurities you have on your own. And I would submit to people that are not structured like that is they haven’t learned to embrace the true self they are, the true purpose that’s in them, and perhaps even don’t really love themselves appropriately.
(Speaker 3)
So that’s a big one. big leap, but I don’t think it’s, uh, it’s inappropriate. My, my mom, she’s going to watch the show. My mom, mom, how are you doing mom? My mom likes to say, she’s like, are you, are you okay? You seem overwhelmed.
(Speaker 3)
I’m like, what do you mean? You got so much going on. And I’m going, I’ll sleep when I’m dead, you know, and at my current pace, I’m already halfway there. So I’ll sleep soon, but I just want to go. Let’s go. Let’s get the song written.
(Speaker 3)
Let’s get the movie made. Let’s do the thing. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. And I think that it’s, it’s, it’s causes stress for people who are on the outside going, are you okay?
(Speaker 3)
You look, you look overwhelmed. I’m like, how do I look overwhelmed? Well, you look pissed. I’m like, I’m focused, you know, so I kind of like it. But Dr. Sherwood’s one of the most productive people I know. And Dr. Sherwood, for everybody watching today’s show, you’ve helped at least five people that I know, and it’s probably six.
(Speaker 3)
I got a pastor, a home builder, a couple of my kids, I don’t know, a podcaster I know. I can think of at least five people that I know that you’ve worked with and you’ve helped them each lose 40 pounds in less than a year. I’ve seen it happen at least five times, probably 10 times, probably 20 times. So for anybody watching this show that says, I want to get in shape, tell us what you do at Sherwood .
(Speaker 58)
tv and sell it to us really good, sir.
(Speaker 57)
People are very busy.
(Speaker 3)
Just sell it, Sherwood . tv.
(Speaker 15)
What are the solutions you have for people out there wanting to optimize their health? If people are looking to lose excessive fat tissue, gain muscle tissue, gain independence from the sick care system and really learn how to live healthy, we’re going to actually take them from the ground up and create a blueprint, a personalized individual blueprint that’s going to guide them on the pathway to build the best life possible, where they can increase their, not necessarily their lifespan, but maybe, but certainly increase their health span, which is what I want to do for everybody. Dr. Sherwood, you’re a beautiful American. You sound like you smell terrific. I encourage everyone to check out your website at Sherwood .
(Speaker 43)
tv.
(Speaker 3)
Sherwood . tv. Again, folks, he sounds like he smells terrific. Think about it. At Sherwood . Some shows don’t need a celebrity narrator to introduce the show, but this show does.
(Speaker 3)
In a world filled with endless opportunities, Why would two men who have built 13 multi -million dollar businesses altruistically invest five hours per day to teach you the best practice business systems and moves that you can use? Because they believe in you, and they have a lot of time on their hands. They started from the bottom, now they’re here. It’s The Thrive Time Show, starring the former U . S. Small Business Administration’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Clay Clark.
(Speaker 3)
and the entrepreneur trapped inside an optometrist’s body. Dr. Robert Zilner. Two men, eight kids, co -created by two different women. Thirteen multi -million dollar businesses. We started from the bottom and now we’re at the top. Teaching you the systems to get what we got.
(Speaker 3)
Colton Dixon’s on the hooks. I break down the books. Z’s bringing some wisdom and the good looks. As the father, that’s why I’m up. So if you see my wife and kids, please, it’s the C and Z up on your radio. And now, let’s go.
(Speaker 3)
Okay, Thrive Nation, on today’s show, I want to break down a notable quotable. This comes to you hot via Warren Buffett. And you might say, who’s Warren Buffett? Well, Warren Buffett obviously is one of the world’s wealthiest people. I don’t think a lot of people know this, maybe, but Warren Buffett is a guy who has been a primary lead investor in a lot of big companies. And you say, well, what companies?
(Speaker 3)
Well, See’s Candy. And you go, really? Yeah, See’s Candies, that’s a real thing. You say Pilot, Flying J, the gas stations. You say, what else?
(Speaker 8)
Omaha Furniture, or sorry, Nebraska Furniture Mart.
(Speaker 3)
You say, what else? Coca -Cola. You say, yeah, but what else?
(Speaker 8)
You say, well, what else? Now, I’m spalding. You say, but is there anything else that Warren has got involved in?
(Speaker 3)
Yes, Warren and his organization, Berkshire Hathaway, has invested in a lot of things. But one of his core quotes there, Matt, he says, I tried to invest in businesses that are so wonderful that an idiot can run them, because sooner or later, one will. Matt Klein, welcome to The Thrive Time Show. How are you, sir?
(Speaker 14)
I am doing good.
(Speaker 3)
You have a lot of great franchisees there at Oxifresh that are Mensa -level geniuses. That’s who’s running Oxifresh is. But why would anybody out there who’s not a Mensa -level genius or a NASA rocket scientist, why would they want to buy a business model that an idiot could run? Because if they just pay attention to details and run it, they should be able to run it extremely efficient, right? I mean, that saying is not necessarily all true. What it’s alluding to is that if you’ve never done it before and you don’t know what you’re doing, a franchise model will get you to a place where you can be successful in something you’ve never tried before.
(Speaker 3)
So Matt, I’ve got Macy with us. She’s joining us on mic, but off camera. I think we got her all mic’d up here.
(Speaker 8)
Macy, you all mic’d up? I’m here. Okay, so let’s say that Macy were to buy an OxiFresh, oxifresh . com franchise. Okay, so let’s pretend this was the onboarding and Macy reaches out today and she’s like, you know, before I buy a franchise, I’ve got a series of questions. And you’re about ready to make that deal.
(Speaker 8)
She’s about ready to decide to buy an OxiFresh. She’s got the credit to do it. She’s got the investment money ready to go. And Matt, she’s excited to buy it. What questions would you ask Macy before you decided to award her an OxiFresh franchise in order for you to feel good about giving her a territory? I would ask, what’s your goal with this?
(Speaker 8)
What are you trying to accomplish? Is it to become a business owner? Is it to increase your income? Is it to get away from corporate America? All those options are good.
(Speaker 3)
I would ask her, what’s your time commitments during the day? What are you currently doing now? Where does the business fit into your life? Tell me a little bit about that.
(Speaker 14)
I’d want to know a little bit more. Do you have a family? Do you not have a family? Is there anybody going to anybody else that’s going to be joining you on this business journey here. I would also ask where you’re from.
(Speaker 8)
We’ll look at territories. So, I don’t know if you’re actually asking me to ask her these questions. I’m just wanting to know for people out there that are saying, you know, I’m thinking about buying, you know, a franchise. What does that look like? Macy, if you were going to buy an Oxifresh franchise, let’s just say that you were all in, you’re ready to go, you have the money, you’ve watched some videos, you researched it, a friend of yours owns an Oxifresh. What question would you have or questions would you have before you would go out and actually buy an Oxifresh .
(Speaker 8)
com franchise? I would probably start with maybe my, what I’ve been doing so far.
(Speaker 19)
So let’s say I’m working a miserable job, too many hours.
(Speaker 8)
Is this going to take over my life?
(Speaker 3)
Is this going to produce time freedom? What is my life going to look like if I decide to do this? Yeah. Well, the answer to that would be, um, It can be whatever you want, right? You could decide to spend all of your hours that you have available running your franchise, or you can choose to kind of pick and choose when you’re going to get in there and be effective to get your business to like the next stage of growth, whether it’s getting reviews or meeting with your employees.
(Speaker 14)
I need a little bit more information to kind of be able to answer that specifically. But I say this, I think it’s very true.
(Speaker 55)
I’ve talked to people and they get a heck of a lot done in one hour.
(Speaker 8)
And I’ve talked to other people and they can’t get anything done in one hour. It kind of depends on what type of person you are. Right. Um, so answer the question could vary depending on just who you are as a person. Macy, take it away though. Let’s say you gave you that answer.
(Speaker 8)
I’m just trying to get into the thing. Cause there’s somebody out there who’s watching this show right now. They’re thinking about buying an oxy fresh.
(Speaker 3)
And let’s say that person was you, Macy, what else would you want to know before you were like, okay, I’m doing it. Do you have systems in place for me to follow? How much of this am I going to have to really think out and do, is there like a set process already made for me? Yeah, good question. So from the very beginning stages of going through the evaluation with me, that’s all structured. You become a franchise, we’ll actually bring you out to Colorado, that’s all the in field training, in person training, you’re gonna have a 30 to 45 day onboarding process with our onboarding team, which will be followed by a six month coaching program, which we’re going to kind of teach you how to run this business with the hours and times you have available to you, even moving forward.
(Speaker 3)
So yeah, we’re very structured. All All the way through to like that onboarding process may see like you can’t get to the second stage of that onboarding process without finishing the first So it is very structured. You’ll have your own profile within oxyfresh We will walk you hand in hand through not only just the initial onboarding But also like getting employees in the field getting your marketing out to the general public You’re not going to have to go out and try to do kind of R &D on vendors and our cleaning system. So yes, our business is a full business out of a box. We’ll teach you how to run it, how to use it, teach you the basics. need to do, what we do for you.
(Speaker 3)
So the answer to that question is yes, you are not creating anything here. So let’s say that I’m the crazy uncle who hops in here. I’m going, OK, hey, here’s the deal. OK, I’m funding my niece here. Let’s say Macy’s my niece, OK? And I’m funding her, and I go, listen here.
(Speaker 8)
I’m the one putting in the money. Macy did great in college. She’s good at art. She’s a cross -country running sensation. She’s sharp. She’s not an idiot.
(Speaker 8)
She doesn’t get fired from jobs.
(Speaker 21)
She’s dependable.
(Speaker 8)
But Matt, before I put in money, what kind of person does somebody need to be to be successful here? I don’t want to put money in and have her just crash this thing. You know, what does she have? What it takes, man? What kind of what does it take to run this thing? Yeah, well, you’ve already mentioned some very key things there.
(Speaker 3)
You’re clearly a competitive person from what Clay just told me. You know, so that’s the one big thing that I tell everyone is like, I don’t I find it to be very hard for you to be successful if you don’t care if you’re successful, right? And being competitive is a pretty important thing there. I don’t need you to be passionate about the process of carpet cleaning, but I do need you to be passionate about running your company, providing opportunity for people that maybe didn’t have it, right? Building young minds to be productive people, making sure your customers are taken care of, also taking into account what we’ve already created at Oxyfresh, right? Like if you don’t want to have anything to do with getting Google reviews and doing all that, I’d say don’t do that.
(Speaker 3)
this business. It’s a very core piece of being a business owner. Right. If you call me and told me like I have zero time, I can’t do this. I just want to run something that’s completely done for me. I’d say this is not a good fit.
(Speaker 3)
Right. But those other things would play along right with what you’ve done in your in your past. I just think you would just use your effort towards this in addition to what you’re already doing. Now, Matt, there’s five non -negotiables that I believe somebody has to do if they want to run a successful business of any kind, and specifically an Oxifresh. I want to get into those and maybe Macy has some follow -up questions here, because there’s somebody hearing this show right now who needs to grasp this idea. One, you’ve got to never stop interviewing candidates.
(Speaker 8)
Like, if you own a carpet -cleaning franchise, you can never stop recruiting. You can never stop. And I think there’s somebody out there who thinks, you know what I’m going to do? I’m going to recruit an all -star team of carpet cleaning technicians, and then I’m going to be done hiring. You know why? Because my carpet techs are going to stay on my team for 45 years.
(Speaker 8)
These people, they’re going to join my team in their early 20s, and they’re going to love cleaning carpets so much. They’re going to stay with me until their 70s. That’s what I’m going to do. I’m just going to hire an all -star team. It’s like that movie Armageddon, where he’s running around, finding people, building the team, getting the team together. It’s like the movie Blues Brothers.
(Speaker 8)
I’m going to get the band back together. And once I get my all -stars in place, I’m done hiring.
(Speaker 3)
Matt, why can that not happen? Because it’s not realistic. I mean, people are going to get older. They’re going to have more ambitions. They’re going to grow themselves out of your company, or you’re going to grow your company outside of their performance capabilities. You need to be prepared for that.
(Speaker 3)
Also, you need to be getting your business to higher and higher volumes of productivity. And sometimes, you as a business owner, you’ll get better at hiring people as you go. You’ll get better at establishing your, like, your criteria for what you need from an employee. It’s not just about someone being with you for a long time. It’s about your company being better next year than it is this year. And a lot of that has to do with just the people that you attract, their productivity, their ability to kind of take you to that next level.
(Speaker 3)
So either you’re going to get more people because you think your businesses work more, or you’re going to have people just phase out through life. You need to hire more people as you go. It’s not going to happen. We’re going to send this show to one of our clients that has a daycare, a daycare. So Macy, we’re going to send it to the daycare people. Next, these are non -negotiables no matter what kind of business you have.
(Speaker 3)
Now, if you’re building a daycare, it’s a little more intense because you have to build everything starting from scratch.
(Speaker 8)
But if you buy an Oxyfresh, all the systems are in place for you. But non -negotiable number two, whether you buy a or you’re starting something from scratch, You have to gather objective Google reviews from real people. Matt, if you don’t gather objective reviews from real customers, man, your life, I can’t explain how bad it’s going to be. Google’s not going to recommend you.
(Speaker 19)
ChatGPT will not recommend you.
(Speaker 8)
All of the AI Google searches won’t recommend you. Every possible search engine will act as though you do not exist, and you will be pissed if you do not get reviews. And what you’re going to want to do if you’re watching this show, not you, but somebody watching this show, with you right now. You’re watching the show, the person next to you, not you, but the person next to you, they’re going to say, can I just text people to get a review? Can I just send a series of fancy QR codes and get a review? Can I just put out a sign to get a review?
(Speaker 8)
Can’t I just organically let people through osmosis and entropy drift their way into leaving me a review?
(Speaker 3)
Matt, why can you not just let the review thing drift?
(Speaker 8)
Why do you have to be intentional about gathering those objective reviews? Because we know that that process doesn’t work unless it’s driven by the owner.
(Speaker 1)
You can go on any industry, any of them, and you’ll find hundreds of companies that have been in business for 10 years that have under 30 reviews.
(Speaker 3)
It’s because it doesn’t naturally happen. It has to be pushed by the owner. It’s got to be a point of emphasis because if there’s one thing that we know, it’s if you can’t find yourself on Google, your customers can’t either. Right. So don’t let that just fall into place. Be the be the person that pushes it.
(Speaker 3)
Also, too, I imagine you want to be successful faster rather than later. Right. And so if you were actually in charge of that and you’re making it a point every day to do something positive for your company, get reviews, you’re going to look back in a matter of months, not years and realize you did what you needed to do.
(Speaker 8)
And now your business is in a better place. You’re making more money. You’re hiring better people.
(Speaker 3)
It all fall. Everything falls secondary to that one task, because that’s what allows you to have a business that continues to get eyeballs and customers calling you. Now, Matt, move number three again. Now, Mason, we do that for our clients. So our clients don’t need to do this part.
(Speaker 3)
And if you buy an Oxifresh, you don’t need to do this part either. But somebody has to optimize your website every month. And so if you buy an Oxifresh, I can’t tell you how game -changing that is, Matt, that you and your great team, you’re constantly updating the Oxifresh .
(Speaker 8)
com website to adhere to all the new Google standards and all the new compliance standards and the mobile compliance standards. And Macy, your wonderful clients that do the daycare, they’ve got to, we will do that for them, but it has to happen every month. Matt, what happens if somebody goes out there and they build a website and they don’t optimize it, they just kind of, you know, keep it the way it is for a decade, for one consecutive decade? Yeah, it won’t matter at that point if you get reviews because Google won’t see you as a productive company that’s updating it. You’re going to fall behind. You’re going to have, you’re just going to lose, you’re going to lose all that momentum that you started off having because Google’s going to dock you for not doing any of those things.
(Speaker 8)
Now Matt, if I buy an OxiFresh, you do this for me, for your daycare clients there, Macy, they’re gonna have to do this. You gotta call your leads until they cry buy or die.
(Speaker 3)
Now folks, if you go to OxiFresh . com and you are requesting carpet cleaning, the folks at OxiFresh, if you fill out the form because you’re looking for a carpet cleaner to clean your home, they’re going to assume that you actually wanted to be reached. And so Matt, you’re a wonderful call center. You’re gonna call people, you’re gonna text people, you’re gonna reach out to these inbound leads until you schedule them. Matt, what happens if you are out there watching this show and you say, you know what, I’m not going to have an oxy fresh style call center. No, no, I’m not going to do that.
(Speaker 3)
And I’m not going to relentlessly call my leads, what’s going to happen? Well, two things. One, if, if you don’t want to have a schedule center, then you’re gonna have to find someone to answer the phones, you’re gonna have multiple people that need to be on different types of schedules to answer them, or you have to answer them yourself, which is going to be extremely hard. But two, if you’re not actually closing those deals, you’re wasting a lot of time and money on leads that you have to pay for that are not getting onto your schedule, right? It’s a waste of time, it’s a waste of money.
(Speaker 3)
They will go somewhere else if you’re not responsive, if you’re not getting the answers that they need. If you’re not answering the phones just in general, that will have a huge negative impact on your company. You won’t be able to survive it. Now, move number five here.
(Speaker 8)
And again, if you buy an OxyPress, you don’t have to worry about this, but maybe you do, I guess. You want to follow the proven path. You want to avoid guesswork. You don’t want to be the guy who’s making cookies and you say, what could possibly happen if I don’t put flour in these cookies? Let’s see what happens. You don’t want to be the person who says, you know what?
(Speaker 8)
I know I’m supposed to cook the steak before I eat it. I’ll just eat it raw tonight and see what happens. You don’t want to be the kind of person who says, my car takes unleaded gas, but tonight I’m going to put water in it and see what happens. Matt, there’s something within the human mind. I’m sure it never happens at Oxifresh. Something in the human mind that makes people not want to follow the proven path.
(Speaker 8)
I’m sure it never happens at Oxifresh. But Matt, what is that all about?
(Speaker 56)
Why would somebody buy a system that works and then not want to follow it?
(Speaker 3)
I just think they have notions in their mind that they think would be better. I mean, I personally did this for a little while. Take payroll, for example. I used to pay my employees a certain amount of money no matter what their production was. And I found that all the things that I was trying to get better like upsells and getting reviews never happened. The moment that I followed the system, I put them on an incentivized pay structure.
(Speaker 3)
Everything in my life got business with my better because all my employees were better. They were producing better. My employees or my customers were happier. So it happens. You should not.
(Speaker 14)
If you buy into a franchise and you have your own way of doing it, just create your own company. It’s not to say that we don’t get great feedback from our franchisees and where we are today is because our franchisees are trying things, but you shouldn’t try new things to start a company. You should follow the system and then as you get comfortable, try new things. Does that make sense? Now, Macy, I’m going to let you unpack it.
(Speaker 8)
Let’s recap the rules here. One, never stop hiring. Two, you got to gather objective reviews from real customers.
(Speaker 55)
Three, you got to optimize your website every month.
(Speaker 8)
Four, you got to call your leads until they cry, buy, or die. Five, you got to follow the proven path. That being said, Macy, you’re working with great clients, you’re helping people have success, and there’s some part of somebody’s mind Thankfully not your clients, but other people, they just don’t want to do these things, or maybe there’s pushback. What question or questions would you have for Matt Klein? Because Oxifresh has 500 locations open. Nobody knows more than Matt Klein.
(Speaker 8)
So my question would be, so like with Clay and consulting, you always have a lifeline. If I get stuck, I can always call Clay. He knows what’s up. Is there something like that set in place with Oxifresh? If your franchisees get stuck or they need someone to keep them accountable, is there somebody there that they can call? Yeah, we have multiple layers of support there, whether it’s your, let’s say you have a question about the software and its enhancements and what you need some, you would talk to Kelly or one of her staff members.
(Speaker 3)
They would train you on what specific you’re looking for in that software. It could be creating zone structures or pulling reports. They’ll teach you. If you have a question about our vendors, you talk to Jordan Keith, who’s our director of operation. You got questions about your Google pages or your online friends, you talk to Josh. So we have individual people that run departments within OxyPress that will be an outlet for you at all times.
(Speaker 3)
Plus, even in the field, for your employees. Let’s just say you have an employee and they can’t get something. They have a question about a customer. We record every single call. You can call and there’s a lifeline there for your employees to be able to call and ask questions on the fly of their day. Because one, you might not have the answer as the owner.
(Speaker 3)
And two, they’re sitting there waiting for folks like your employees to ask questions like that. So yes, depends on what it is, which way you navigate through that support system. But yeah, on all layers, we have people to help you.
(Speaker 14)
I’m going to pull this up real quick and then Macy will let you go back to Matt with another question here. That’s Thrivetimeshow . com forward slash Oxifresh.
(Speaker 8)
And someone says, why would I want to buy a franchise? Folks, why would you want to use the wheel? I mean, the wheel, Matt, this just in, the wheel, it has been proven to work. I mean, the wheel, the wheel’s an incredible invention, folks. If you haven’t checked it out, check out the wheel. You know, and so it’s a system that works, and Oxifresh just works.
(Speaker 8)
And so I don’t know why you wouldn’t want to buy an Oxifresh.
(Speaker 14)
In my opinion, it’s the hottest things in sliced bread.
(Speaker 27)
Macy, what follow -up question would you have for Matt Klein?
(Speaker 8)
Any other questions? Because somebody out there is thinking about buying an Oxifresh, or maybe somebody out there is watching the show, and they’re a business owner, and they just want to have massive success quickly. What other question would you have for Matt Klein? So if I’m working a full -time job, do I need to quit that job? What do I need to have saved up to do this? What does my life need to look like currently to get started?
(Speaker 8)
Two questions, I’ll answer the second one first. You’re going to want $48 ,000 to become a franchise that can be paid in any form.
(Speaker 3)
That gets you your equipment, your products, it gets you the protected territory, all the training in Colorado, plus your seven -year agreement. I want you to have access to about $25 ,000 to $30 ,000 after that in any form for your operating costs. Things like insurance, local marketing, a monthly vehicle cost, payroll for your employee who you hire, all the things you need to kind of run your company. For that, I would actually come back to that question, Macy, and ask you, in your current day, do you have time to help as a supporting system for your business? Like during your day, can you take a phone call or take a text from your team? We’ll say yes.
(Speaker 3)
Okay, good. Because if you say no, then I don’t think it’s great to run a company where you can give zero time to it. I think that’s pretty hard, right? But if you have time to just kind of reply to your employees, and you have some times you can kind of take out and do the necessary things like get reviews for your for your business, I’m not not eight hours or whatever. But if you can just be available to your business, from time to time, I think you can run it because you don’t need a manager, we handle all the kind of ins and outs of like getting things scheduled and getting them all in place. books and your employees will have access to that.
(Speaker 3)
So as long as you can have some access to your employees and be a support system to your own employees, I think you can run this company very, very efficiently. Days are going to be different.
(Speaker 8)
Some days you’ll be a little bit more than others, but since you’re not answering the phones or hiring a team to answer the phones, the daily operation happens while you’re doing other things.
(Speaker 3)
Matt, my final question. I have three final questions for you in the final 60 seconds we have. Matt, I don’t want you dodging the questions either. I don’t want you playing the games with me. Matt, these are the questions that the people want to know the answers to. So one, are you married, Matt?
(Speaker 3)
Are you single? Are you available? Are you available?
(Speaker 8)
Can people call you if they want to schedule a date?
(Speaker 3)
Are you still available? Are you available? Are you taken? What’s happening? I am very, very taken, but you can schedule a time to talk about Oxfresh. Okay.
(Speaker 3)
That’s, that’s, that’s going to shut down 90 % of the leads. Um, second hair product, Matt. I mean, what hair product are you using? It’s incredible hair.
(Speaker 8)
A lot of guys watch the show and they go, I want hair like that.
(Speaker 3)
Women go look at that hair. Men are going, I hate that guy. Matt, what kind of hair product are you using? Water.
(Speaker 24)
Three, Matt, talk more about this, because you always say that, and nobody believes you.
(Speaker 7)
Tell us, what is going on with your hair product?
(Speaker 3)
What are you doing? There’s no way you’re not using hair product to maintain.
(Speaker 7)
Look at that wig. There’s no way, Matt. I know hair. And I know that hair. There’s no way it’s just water, Matt. Come on, be honest with us.
(Speaker 54)
It’s just water, my friend.
(Speaker 7)
OK, fine. Folks, if you want to work with a company that you can kind of trust about what they’re saying about their hair products, go to oxyfresh .
(Speaker 3)
com, oxyfresh . com. Matt, you’re a beautiful man, and we’ll talk to you soon.
(Speaker 7)
See you guys. Bye. Since I’ve been working with you, I would say from maybe two a week to probably close to 20 a week. Repeat that one more time.
(Speaker 3)
You went from how many leads to how many leads? Two a week to 20 a week.
(Speaker 7)
And that’s calls in our office, real calls. Name of the company is Roof Angel. We’re a commercial company. residential roofing company. Currently, we’re servicing Henderson, Kentucky, Owensboro, Kentucky, really the western northern part of Kentucky and south end of Indiana. Yeah.
(Speaker 7)
My first and last name is Jake Gibson, and the web address is it’s www . roofangel . com. Again, for everybody out there that might have blacked out when they heard that, I think you said you went from two calls per week or two leads a week to 20 leads a week. Maybe I got that wrong. Can you maybe share again just how much of an increase you’ve seen in the leads in these first 120 days?
(Speaker 7)
Yeah, the increase, I mean, what would that, that’s like 400%, maybe more.
(Speaker 3)
Sorry, that’d be 1000%, I guess, right? Two to 20. Um, correct me if I’m wrong. Um, it’s wild. I just, it’s unbelievable. People are mad at me.
(Speaker 3)
A lot of companies here. It’s not just roofing companies. They’re mad at me.
(Speaker 53)
Um, because they’re like, what are you doing that we’re not doing?
(Speaker 52)
Um, there’s a lot of talk that just does not make sense to people.
(Speaker 7)
And I love it.
(Speaker 3)
I want to keep doing it. So. Yeah, so my big claim to fame roofers in a lot of industries, they have a bad name. So I want to, I want to make sure I want to set that straight. And I want to set a higher expectation. So when we go out to roofs, we a lot of times we do free repairs, even we bring a caught gun, we bring all the stuff we need on top of that roof.
(Speaker 3)
And if it’s a simple will fix we’re fixing it for free not for free because we want to google review or a video review um but in that case we’re we’re telling them we’re saying hey next time a storm comes by we want to be your roofer so give us a call um we’re not chasing money we’re chasing um we’re chasing just doing the right thing folks on today’s show we’re going to interview a wonderful client who it’s kind of interesting because i’ve known of this man uh for
(Speaker 7)
and I’ve had the opportunity to work on a very close level with this man’s uncle, I believe. So this man, his uncle, is the pastor of a church called His Church.
(Speaker 1)
It’s Pastor Brian Gibson.
(Speaker 3)
It’s called His Church.
(Speaker 7)
And I’ve had the opportunity to work with both pastors Brian and Jesse Gibson for years.
(Speaker 3)
And I kept hearing rumors about this family member they have that’s got the entrepreneurial spirit and this guy who’s gonna go on to become super successful. And so we’ve had the opportunity to now work with the founder of roofangel .
(Speaker 7)
com. And I believe the nephew of Pastor Brian Gibson, Jay Gibson, welcome onto the Thrive Time Show. How are you? I’m great. How are you, sir? I’m excited to be here with you, and I want to just celebrate the wins and encourage somebody out there.
(Speaker 7)
So first off, your website, your company is roofangels .
(Speaker 3)
com. It’s roofangel . com, singular, roofangel . com. Tell the listeners out there, what’s the name of your company, and what markets do you service? The name of the company is Roof Angel.
(Speaker 3)
We’re a commercial and residential roofing company. Currently, we’re servicing Henderson, Kentucky, Owensboro, Kentucky, really the western northern part of Kentucky and south end of Indiana.
(Speaker 7)
Yeah.
(Speaker 3)
And for anybody who wants to verify that you’re real, can you tell us your first and last name and your web address? OK, yeah, my first and last name is Jake Gibson and the web address is it’s www .
(Speaker 1)
roofangel .
(Speaker 7)
com.
(Speaker 3)
So for people who might be hearing this, who are in the market areas that you serve, what is it that sets Roof Angel apart from the other wonderful roofing companies that are in your market? Yeah, so my big claim to fame, roofers in a lot of industries, they have a bad name. So I want to make sure, I want to set that straight, and I want to set a higher expectation. out to roofs, a lot of times we do free repairs even. We bring a caulk gun, we bring all the stuff we need on top of that roof, and if it’s a simple fix, we’re fixing it for free. Not for free, because we want a Google review or a video review.
(Speaker 3)
But in that case, we’re telling them, we’re saying, hey, next time a storm comes by, we wanna be your roofer, so give us a call. We’re not chasing money, we’re chasing just doing the right thing.
(Speaker 7)
Now, one thing I wanted to brag on you about is you guys are diligent on the marketing efforts, and you’re diligent in the actual fulfillment of the service. So you guys do a phenomenal job putting in the work on the marketing side and on the fulfillment side. And what’s great about working with you, there’s so many things, but one is you actually do the homework. And so I want to encourage everybody out there, if you say, what does a successful client look like?
(Speaker 3)
That’s Jake Gibson and his team. Jake, can you share in the past, I think in the past maybe, 90 days, maybe 120 days. I believe that you’re receiving a fairly dramatic increase in the number of online leads that you’re getting. How much of an increase have you seen in the online leads that you’re receiving now versus where you were, let’s say 120 days ago?
(Speaker 7)
I would say from maybe two a week to probably close to 20 a week. Repeat that one more time. You went from how many leads to how many leads? Two a week to 20 a week. And that’s calls in our office, real calls. Real calls.
(Speaker 7)
And again, I want everyone to hear this.
(Speaker 1)
You’re putting in the work, but you’re also whacking golf balls today.
(Speaker 52)
So walk the listeners through the mindset that you have when it comes to wowing your customers, whether it be through the fulfillment or through the actual marketing efforts.
(Speaker 7)
Walk the listeners out there through the mindset, because you are an example of a diligent doer. You are exactly what the Thrive Nation aspires to be like. What is the mindset that you have when it comes to, knocking out what you said you would do for the clients as well as on the marketing side? Yeah, so I have a mission.
(Speaker 3)
I want to fund the kingdom, and we only have so long on this earth. So hiring Clay as my coach, I know it’s going to get me closer to that mission. So anything he tells me to do, if it’s marketing, whatever, I’m going to pay for it. Now, what’s it like to have an uncle, like Pastor Brian Gibson, a guy who likes to mix faith with action? This is a guy who runs a church, but he also has a profound interest in business, but he also has an interest in growing the kingdom. Did you pick up on some of that mindset of being kingdom -driven from Pastor Brian, from your uncle?
(Speaker 3)
Or where did you get that idea of having a kingdom -driven business? Well, it started from my my grandfather. He had the one of the largest cattle companies in the United States at one point. Well, that that fell, it crashed. And then I was inspired by my uncle next. I was inspired, inspired by my grandfather, then my uncle.
(Speaker 3)
But I had that entrepreneur spirit. My grandfather, he wasn’t, let’s say, like the, you know, the the faith guy, right? He just worked hard. He was a hard worker. So I knew if I mixed faith and, um, faith and I tied, then I gave offerings. I knew that, um, I would be blessed even more than that.
(Speaker 3)
So I have a high expectation for myself knowing where my grandpa got. Knowing I have to beat that because now I’m giving I’m serving. Um, you know all that good stuff There’s a lot of pressure on me with my uncle being a pastor No, I want to get into this the Hebrews chapter 11.
(Speaker 7)
I’ll pull it up on the screen here Hebrews chapter 11 is a unique section of the Bible where God outlines All of these wonderful people that had massive faith, but they actually took action And I don’t know that a lot of people read this enough. I don’t know that I talked about it enough on the show perhaps I could crank it up here. But let me just read this to you real quick here. It says, By faith, Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. By faith, Jacob, when he was dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph and worshiped, leaning upon the top of his staff.
(Speaker 7)
By faith, Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel and gave commandment concerning his bones. By faith, Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents because they saw he was a proper child and they were afraid of the king’s commandment. By faith, Moses, when he was come to years refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. By faith, folks, it’s by faith. It says, by faith, they passed through the sea as by dry land, which the Egyptians are saying to do or drown.
(Speaker 3)
By faith, the walls of Jericho fell down after they were compassed about seven days. By faith, the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not when she had received the spies with peace.
(Speaker 47)
And it goes on and on.
(Speaker 3)
It says, who through faith subdued the kingdoms rot and you hear you see here over and over faith faith faith faith but it’s action and faith and why i wanted to have you on this show today is you’re mixing faith with action and it’s a profound thing you’re not getting when we get on our coaching calls you’re not saying clay how do i get motivated to take action you’re just saying I’ve got faith. I know it works. Show me what to do. Please let us into your mindset. I want to clone you, but it’s not ethical. What is the mindset you have?
(Speaker 3)
Faith with action. Man, I have crazy faith. Um, I pray a lot. I start off by, um, devouring the word in the morning, dividing the evening. Um, so I’ll pray for, I don’t know. I pray for an hour in the morning, just all day long.
(Speaker 3)
Um, and I pray crazy, right? I’m calling in million dollar contracts, um, for the first we’ve been opened. Um, we opened roof angel four months ago. Our first contract we had was for 1 .1 million, um, because I had faith for that. So with that, I expect it to happen because I know if I’m praying for it and I put the action behind it, it’s going to happen every time.
(Speaker 7)
And I’ve seen it time and time again. It’s just a radical thing you just said. So let’s get back into the brass tacks before you have to go whack some golf balls. Yeah.
(Speaker 3)
Asking you, I say, hey, Jake, you got to wow your customers. You said, no problem. That’s what I do. I said, now I need you to go out there and gather an objective review from your customers. You said, no problem. I say, Jake, I need you every single week to do VISM.
(Speaker 3)
You say, what’s VISM? I said, you got to get video testimonials or video examples. You got to get images of your work, drone footage of the roofs you’re working on.
(Speaker 7)
S, search engine content, we’ve got to write that. And M, we’ve got to get more Google reviews. Can you walk us through your mindset? Because every week, I know that faithfully on Saturday, now that we’re in that great flow, I know when I call you at 6 AM, you’re going to have the videos in that folder, the images in the folder. You’re going to have the reviews. What is the mindset that you have to bundling all those action items and getting the video testimonials or video examples, images, and more Google reviews.
(Speaker 7)
You do it every week, VISM, videos, images, search engine, more Google reviews. What’s that mindset you have that allows you to get that done? Yeah, I’ve seen it work time and time again, and I don’t want to reinvent something that’s already been done.
(Speaker 3)
I believe that we only have so long on Earth to get something done, right, before we go to heaven. And with that, I want to be coached, and I already know the system works, so I just want to tackle that so I can get further down the road to do my assignment that God sent me to do. Um, I mean, that’s basically, that’s it. Final two final two questions in 120 seconds.
(Speaker 7)
Number one here for people out there that are thinking about coming to, uh, uh, one of our, our workshops, you’ve been to the workshops or thinking about, um, having us, uh, coach them in their business. What do you say to somebody? They’re going to thrive, time, show . com. They’ve seen maybe thousands of testimonials, but they’re on the fence.
(Speaker 3)
What do you say to somebody?
(Speaker 7)
out there that says, I don’t know? What do you say to somebody who’s on the fence? Yeah, don’t be on the fence. Just do it. I mean, you’re investing in yourself, your family. So really, if you love your kids and your family and you want to, you know, build a legacy, just go to these conferences.
(Speaker 7)
They’re amazing. I took my guys to them and we got back from the conference.
(Speaker 37)
And I mean, they started probably tripling their sales.
(Speaker 3)
They were hyped just to see that, because this is I’m kind of in a small town, so people don’t have that mindset yet. But being around the guys that Clay attracts, it got everybody on fire. Final question for you, again, for anybody out there that might have blacked out when they heard that. I think you said you went from two calls per week or two leads a week to 20 leads a week. Maybe I got that wrong. Can you maybe share again just how much of an increase you’ve seen in the leads in these first 120 days?
(Speaker 3)
Yeah, the increase, I mean, what would that, that’s like 400%, maybe more. Sorry, that’d be a thousand percent, I guess, right? Two to 20.
(Speaker 30)
Um, correct me if I’m wrong.
(Speaker 3)
Um, it’s wild.
(Speaker 39)
I just, it’s unbelievable.
(Speaker 3)
People are mad at me. A lot of companies here. It’s not just roofing companies.
(Speaker 7)
They’re mad at me. Um, because they’re like, what are you doing that we’re not doing? Um, there’s a lot of talk that just does not make sense to people. And I love it.
(Speaker 3)
I want to keep doing it. So.
(Speaker 19)
All right, well, go whack the golf ball.
(Speaker 3)
I appreciate you very much. And again, thanks for living up to the hype. Your uncle has been telling me for years. He says, Clay, once Jake finds his thing, he’s like, this guy, he’s already had a lot of success. He’s a diligent doer.
(Speaker 7)
And he’s like, I’m telling you, once he finds that repeatable thing, I can just see this guy go into the next level. So thank you so much.
(Speaker 1)
And in the background, I think we’re being video bombed by somebody who’s a beautiful man. You are. This guy. What’s up, Clay? What’s up? Who is this guy?
(Speaker 1)
Jake, tell the listeners who this guy is. This is, um, a number one salesman right here. He’s, this guy got a revolver. He got some good. reviews and one a revolver. I’ve heard good things about you, sir.
(Speaker 1)
Now, for people that want to look you up and verify you’re real, sir, what’s your first and last name? Rex Minton. Rex. God’s gift of sales right there, Rex. Thank you, Rex. Appreciate you, Jake.
(Speaker 1)
Have a great day. You too, Clay. Thank you. Bye. What I’ve seen from Clay and his group at Thrive is they’ll give you a simple system. And it’s the simple systems are the ones that people can wrap their brain around.
(Speaker 1)
They’re the ones that people can work with on a day -to -day basis. And that simplicity brings power with it. So it shocked me how simple some of the stuff is. And at times I’m like, why did not think about that? Workflow creation, systematic marketing and coaching has helped our church so much. You know, the workflow creation is what it really is, is they’re going to look and see every moving part of your church, of your ministry, what needs to be done.
(Speaker 1)
And it’s going to go up on a massive board. And so now what it does is it takes what you know needs to be done out of your heart and out of your head, really takes the pressure, the stress off your shoulders. And it puts it on the board where your entire team, your ministry can see exactly what you want. they want them to do every day. And so they know this is the playbook, this is what we’re doing. And then there’s laser sharp accountability with a meeting afterwards, did it get done or not?
(Speaker 1)
I’ll tell you, it’s changed the way we execute as a church so fast. And it’s produced really an excitement, because people, people, they want to get done. If they know what they’re supposed to do, a good person wants to get it done. It’s been massive for our team. The systematic marketing, It’s really been like this. In the past, we used to market and we would try something.
(Speaker 1)
I’ve done everything, billboards, ads, mailers, internet, Facebook, but we would run something for so long and then we wouldn’t see that it was producing the results we want. Instead of staying consistent, we would jump to another horse. Then we would jump to another horse. And what systematic marketing does is it makes you pick some things and stick with it. And then the coaching is massive. And I think having a coach that looks and sees what you’re doing and can come help you make small adjustments.
(Speaker 1)
I believe those small tweaks, once he gets everything set up, those small tweaks can make massive differences. And a great coach doesn’t even have to play your sport, right? Doesn’t even have to do what you do. A coach has an eye to see things that you can’t see or to see it from a different angle. And just having that extra eye on what I do and just, hey, have you thought about this? It’s making all the difference in the world.
(Speaker 1)
What Clay Clark and his team can provide for your church that you can’t do in -house and I can’t do in -house, well, what’s been massive for me is that search engine optimization, how to get to the top of Google, taking care of transcribing all of my sermons to drive me up the list on Google, stuff that I don’t think about and I don’t have time to do. I’ve got all these things I have to do as a pastor, right? I have sermons to preach. I have a staff to manage. I have a budget to take care of. I’ve got sick folk to see about.
(Speaker 1)
I have a team that has to do that. You know how it is. You’ve got to marry people. You’ve got to bury people. We’re never going to stay in a dark room with a keyboard optimizing our Google presence.
(Speaker 9)
And these guys do that kind of thing for us. Also, if you’re at a couple hundred member church, I remember how hard it was back in the day to take care of the website needs. Come up with graphic design. And these guys are available to you for sermon slides, getting that kind of stuff done, where you can have a sharp -looking presentation of the gospel. And it takes it off you, puts it on them at a very reasonable price. I really believe Clay Clark and his team can help a church with limited resources in a big way.
(Speaker 5)
I know what it’s like to be a church of limited resources.
(Speaker 22)
My wife and I, we walked into a town where we didn’t know anybody.
(Speaker 5)
We had a Bible and we just had a few bucks in our pocket. When somebody introduced us to a couple of families, we started going there. So I know what it’s like to be a church of two, and I know what it’s like to be a church of 2 ,000 in two different campuses now, 1 ,000 apiece, and everywhere in between. So I love churches at every level. I believe God wants them all to grow. And I think about the needs I had back in the day, the lack of direction I had.
(Speaker 5)
I mean, I was working 80 hours a week all the time. But a lot of times I was a shotgun instead of a rifle. I think when you start, you can really hone in with the right coaching. You can get a lot of your different needs met in one place.
(Speaker 9)
Instead of having somebody on marketing and somebody on showing you how to do systems and somebody on graphic design, Thrive can do a lot of that for you at a very reasonable cost. I think it’s a great place to invest in the life of your ministry. I’m telling you, I think you can get the results you want with the coaching here faster than any other way. It’s going to be powerful. It’s been tremendous. I can’t say enough about it.
(Speaker 51)
Carter keeps me accountable.
(Speaker 9)
He keeps me focused on working on the business and implementing things that we need to work on to keep growing the business. When we first started with you, I had four employees, and now I’m up to 10 employees.
(Speaker 5)
And it’s all because of the work we’re getting. We’re getting more and more work. play.
(Speaker 51)
I was suffocating.
(Speaker 5)
I was like I said I was doing the business since 2009 and everything was going through me and at a point it’s it’s a breaking point and that’s where I think businesses just cave in and give up. And I found you on Rumble, and I started listening to you. And I told myself that it’s possible. This guy’s system is possible. And I can see hope.
(Speaker 5)
And I could keep the business going.
(Speaker 9)
And I just encourage people, if you’re on the fence, get off the fence and try it. What do you have to gain? Everything. There’s a proven path. There’s a way to get through it and there’s hope and the vision becomes clear. You’re not stuck.
(Speaker 9)
I would join and learn from them and implement, be a diligent doer. Just, you know, does it happen in one day? No. Does it happen in one week? No. But if you’re just willing to keep trying and peck at it and peck at it, you’ll see it turning.
(Speaker 9)
You’ll see some improvement and you’ll get hope and your vision will clear up.
(Speaker 5)
It’s Jpool, and my web address is absoluteheatingcooling .
(Speaker 3)
com.
(Speaker 5)
We’re pretty much a suburb of south of Seattle, and so we service the West Seattle to Lakewood area and from the water, Puget Sound water, all the way to Maple Valley. I’ve been in the industry over 20 years. I started my business in 2009. We’re basically a family -owned heating and cooling company, and we provide quality installation, repair, and service on all heating and cooling systems, gas fireplaces, gas hot water tanks. Prior to joining your system, I was overwhelmed, and that’s because I didn’t understand the difference between working in my business and working on my business. I pretty much equated to, I’m an engineer.
(Speaker 9)
technician having entrepreneurial seizures because I didn’t know the difference between working in and working on it.
(Speaker 3)
Give up hope. There’s a path out, out of your misery, and that’s joining the Thrive Time and reading books and learning and being a doer. You know, prior to joining Thrive Time, I wasn’t a reader. And now I am. And I just started out with telling myself, I love to read. I love to read.
(Speaker 3)
I love to read. I didn’t start that day reading, but it just kept soaking in.
(Speaker 9)
And I picked up a book and I started reading. And that gave me hope and a vision.
(Speaker 3)
And that’s what people need.
(Speaker 9)
We’re a family HVAC company.
(Speaker 5)
We do residential and light commercial.
(Speaker 50)
We specialize in quality installation, quality repair, and quality service.
(Speaker 5)
How much of an impact has it made on your business having your website updated and reinvigorated? Oh, tremendously, we, we had a website through another contractor. And we barely got any leads, I probably could count them. And we had it up for over a year or more. And I can count on one hand how many leads we cut off it. And now we’ve been with you going on 10 months.
(Speaker 5)
And we we get leads. It’s amazing. On today’s show, we’re interviewing a client who is having success because he’s putting in the work. And this just in, nothing works unless we work, right? Nothing works unless you and I put in the effort. And so I’m super honored and excited to interview a diligent doer, a person who says, look, just show me the proven path.
(Speaker 5)
I’ll put in the work. He’s the man with the plan, and he’s on today’s show. Jay, welcome on to The Thrive Time Show. How are you, sir? I’m doing awesome. Thanks, Clay.
(Speaker 5)
Now, Jay, for people who want to look you up and verify you’re real, can you tell us your first and last name and your web address so people can go look you up? Yeah. It’s Jay Poole, and my web address is absoluteheatingcooling . com. I’m Glenn Shaw, owner of Shaw Homes in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Started the company in 1985.
(Speaker 5)
At that time, it was one employee doing everything. Me. I met Aaron Antus in 2007. The top three things that Aaron did for Shaw Homes was he brought in processes that helped us be able to repeat over and over. He brought in unique hiring skills. He was able to find the right people for the right seat on the bus. And Aaron brought sales techniques that we weren’t familiar with up until that time.
(Speaker 5)
When Aaron came, we were selling about 80, 85 houses a year. And during the 16 -year period, we saw sales get up over 400. Before I met Aaron, the only sales manager we had was myself, and I was completely unable to perform that job. And so Aaron brought major changes and great results with him. In the many years that I was building houses before Aaron, I was great at selling if somebody wanted to buy, but they had to be knocking on my door asking me to sell them a house before I could actually make that sell.
(Speaker 3)
I had no sales techniques and no ability to generate sales. Aaron coming in as a natural salesperson just absolutely transformed that and made the sales experience better for the company and better for our buyers. Prior to Aaron, I would work all week for the company. I’d sit in the model home over the weekend and I had a salesperson or two, but I was actually out there all weekend working that. Since hiring Aaron, I was able to take my weekends off, even reduce my workload during the week.
(Speaker 3)
I went from working 60, 70 hours a week to almost a normal workload. So I’ve been a member of the Builder 20 program in the National Association of Home Builders for 25 years, 20 years. And during that time, I’ve seen a lot of sales managers with the other companies that have been involved. And in my opinion, Aaron is smarter and sharper than any sales manager of any builder that’s ever been in our group. Now, some markets, they don’t have to try to sell, they just sell themselves. But with the ability to sell and to train and hire, Aaron was better than any of those sales managers.
(Speaker 3)
that were in my program. Well, I remember when I considered hiring Aaron many years ago, the thought of spending the extra money was a little scary, but in hindsight, it was one of the best things I’ve ever done.
(Speaker 13)
It freed my time, increased our sales, and at the end of the day, increased our profitability beyond my wildest expectations. Years ago, I was concerned that if I didn’t do whatever a customer asked me to do, it might be the last house I sold. And so over time, we were able to move away from unlimited customization to pre -design options. The problem that we were having in those days is that the customer would tell us what they wanted, but they didn’t really know what they wanted.
(Speaker 3)
And we would deliver exactly what they told us to do, and they wouldn’t be happy with it. So as we became more standardized, we give lots of options, but we don’t customize. In the end, that allows us to sell more homes for better margins than spending countless hours trying to customize in just every avenue of the sales process. We get weekly reports on sales, on profitability, on production, and it provides all the manageable tools that I need to review the company from a 10 ,000 foot level. All right, Thrive Nation, on today’s show, what we’re going to focus on is how to grow a successful company. So what I’m going to do is I’m going to pull up a graphic that is the theory of how to grow a successful company.
(Speaker 11)
But vision without execution is hallucination.
(Speaker 3)
And so if you go to Thrivetimeshow . com forward slash millionaire, you can download a book that I have written called A Millionaire’s Guide, How to Become Sustainably Rich. You can download it for free at Thrivetimeshow . com forward slash millionaire, but you have to actually implement that which is in the book.
(Speaker 33)
And so on today’s show, we’re joined by a very successful person in the home building business, a great friend of mine, a man by the name of Aaron Antus.
(Speaker 3)
Aaron Antus, welcome on to the Thrivetimeshow. How are you, sir? I’m doing great, Clay. Thanks for having me on. Hey, so I got to ask you this for people out there that want to prove you’re not a hologram. First off, what’s the website for your company so people can verify that you are, in fact, a real business?
(Speaker 3)
You bet. It’s shaholmes . com. S -H -A -W -H -O -M -E -S -E. com. shahomes shahomes .
(Speaker 3)
com. I’m pulling up shahomes . com. That’s the website, shahomes . com. And when you and I met, before we met, you had been already very successful as a home builder.
(Speaker 3)
You turned your dream of being a home builder guy into reality. Yeah. And so how many homes had you sold, or what kind of sales had you done in your career as a home builder guy before you and I even met? probably about 750 million in sales prior to meeting you. And then you did, the year we first started working together, what were the sales totals that year? We were at like $19 million.
(Speaker 3)
$19 million. And then when you ended 2022, obviously we’re in 2023, and so we’ll see how this year ends. But as far as ending 2022, how much sales did you do last year at the end of 2022? 2022, we were at like $84 million. OK, so from $19 million to? $84 million.
(Speaker 3)
$84 million. So you’re doing some things right here. And what we’re going to try to do is kind of demystify the plan here. OK, so here we go. Establishing revenue goals. Yep.
(Speaker 3)
When you and I first started working together, we started off with a 13 point assessment. We went over your goals. I’m not going to ask you to share your goals on the air, but why is it important that you have goals? Well, I mean, goals are sort of your guideposts that, you know, you set something out there in front of you and you start chasing after it. And without that, you’re just kind of floundering in mediocrity. You don’t have any reason to get up in the morning and really get after it.
(Speaker 3)
And so, you know, I think goals are, you know, it’s, it’s, You can have lots of different types of goals and we’ve talked about a lot of this. We’ve talked about, you know, having financial goals and having, you know, fitness goals and having friendship goals and just all these different areas. I know you’ve got the F6, you know, so that’s kind of something that, you know, we talk about a lot. early on. You asked me, like, is the goal, is one of your goals more income or is it more time? And so I said, well, really, at this point, it’s more income.
(Speaker 3)
And then later, it became more time. So it’s changed over the time I’ve known you since 2016.
(Speaker 48)
We’re going on seven years.
(Speaker 3)
And the income went up considerably. So now it’s turned in the last couple of years towards more time. Now, the breakeven numbers, again, I’m not asking you for the numbers on the show, but you guys have a lot of fixed costs. I mean, if you go to shawhomes .
(Speaker 13)
com, you’ve got framers, you have plumbers, you have tile people, you have so many skilled people, you have a full -time sales team, you have an admin staff, and if you don’t sell a house, you still have the service of the land, you still have all the overhead.
(Speaker 43)
Why is it important for every listener out there to know their break -even point?
(Speaker 3)
How many deals they need per month just to break even?
(Speaker 13)
Well, yeah, because you’re going backwards real quick, and it doesn’t take very long if you’re at the beginning of your business.
(Speaker 3)
It doesn’t take very long for you to be in a place where you know, the creditors are knocking at your door and you’re, you know, you can’t pay your bills and all of a sudden you’re going to lose all your, for us, all of our trades, all of our suppliers are going to start backing out. So, you know, you’ve got to know what that number is that lets you tread water so that you know, okay, this is the worst case scenario, everything above that, at least I’m into the profit zone. So, you know, you go out of business pretty quick. Most businesses don’t last more than just a few months if they get below that breakeven number.
(Speaker 13)
So now folks, again, these might seem like simple steps, but they’re all the linear steps you have to take to create time, freedom, and financial freedom.
(Speaker 3)
And if you want to grow your company, this is how you do it. Box number three, though, is you have to know the hours you’re willing to work. Now your credible wife is here off camera for accountability. So at any point, you know, she could yell like, amen or boo, but you guys are on the same page with the hours you’re willing to work and you guys. as a couple, I want to brag on both of you, you guys both committed to sacrificing time and energy and a lot of things to get to where you’re at in life. And then as you had your children, you raised them, you decided to vote.
(Speaker 3)
time to raising said kids. And now that your kids are older, you’re devoting time to raising these kids. So it’s not like you advocated being a parent while also growing a company. You did both well. I’d love to get your thoughts on sitting down with your spouse, if you’re watching this today, or your significant other, and making sure you’re on the same page about how many hours per week you’re willing to work. Well, yeah, I mean, you don’t want to grow a business to make a whole bunch of money just so you can split it in half later.
(Speaker 3)
Oh. Because that’s kind of what happens when you don’t work out those details ahead of time.
(Speaker 13)
And so my wife and I have been married 25 years.
(Speaker 3)
We’ve been together for four before that. And so yeah, sorry, 26. Did I just say 25? 26. I hate to do this to you. I just got in trouble.
(Speaker 3)
Your wife just turned 27 on Thursday. And what you said is 100 % false. OK, so the unique value proposition Now, let’s talk about this. Whether it’s growing a home building company or a dog training business or a haircut chain or a carpet cleaning franchise or whatever business we’re involved in helping to grow, you have to sit down as a listener out there, as a business owner, and you’ve got to figure out what makes your company unique. Absolutely.
(Speaker 36)
So I want to ask you, what makes Shaw Homes unique in the marketplace with other home builders?
(Speaker 3)
Yeah, we have more furnished and decorated model homes than any other builder in the market. So a lot of times, people, when they walk into a home and they’re trying to decide if they like the floor plan, the layout, whatever, usually most builders in our market have an empty house that they walk into. It just kind of echoes when you walk through it. There’s no furniture or anything. And we completely, as you can see in this little video here, furnish and decorate it, make it beautiful. We are the most award winning builder in the state of Oklahoma.
(Speaker 3)
That’s true. We’ve won like five times as many awards as any other builder in the market.
(Speaker 13)
So definitely, that is one of our big takeaways.
(Speaker 49)
And I’m going to throw you under the bus real quick.
(Speaker 3)
And I don’t mean to do this super passively aggressively. It’ll just be more of a subtle passive aggressive. When I met you, you guys had all these awards, but no one knew. That’s true. It was like this weird, bizarre thing where you had all these awards. I remember talking to you, and I’m like, what makes you guys different?
(Speaker 3)
And you’re like, you know, we do a good job. And you’re going to be nice about it. You’re a good salesperson. But I said, well, I mean, tell me about the awards. And you’re like, well, we got this award, that award, this award. Like 45 minutes later, it’s like that award.
(Speaker 3)
this award, I need to shave now, this award, that award, I need to go brush my teeth, this award, that award, I want to go mow the lawn now, this award, that award, I think I’m retiring, this award, my kids are turning 18, I can see it, this award, just going, and this award, and that award. And so we put those on the website and that helped. And the other thing you guys were, we needed to change was all these people were saying great things, but we didn’t have video reviews of them saying it on camera. Right. So it was like your online reputation didn’t match your real world reputation. It’s so much good momentum there.
(Speaker 3)
And so many people loved you guys. And now you guys have, would you say a hundred video reviews?
(Speaker 13)
Oh, gosh, I would say more than that.
(Speaker 3)
We’ve got, yeah, we have a lot. You can just keep scrolling and scrolling and scrolling. And this is actually all that’s on this page. If you go to our YouTube channel, we have way more than this. So, yeah. So again, and this is all the stuff you’re going to grow a successful company, folks.
(Speaker 3)
Step one, you got to figure out your revenue goals. Step two, you got to figure out your breakeven goals. Step three, sit down for an hour of power. Sit down with your spouse. Make sure that you guys are on the same page of your hours you’re willing to work. Step four, unique value proposition.
(Speaker 3)
Figure out what it is that makes you unique. in -depth guide that you can download for free at thrive timeshow . com forward slash millionaire. If you get stuck next box, you gotta improve your branding, your website, your one sheet. in your case, model home presentations, business cards, social media branding, everything that a customer sees needs to be first class. And I was talking to a guy named Ronnie Morales today and it’s Morales Brothers.
(Speaker 3)
I think you met him at a conference. He told me this and I’m not slamming Ronnie. Ronnie, if you’re listening, I’m not slamming you. This is the real thing. Ronnie said he listened to our show for seven consecutive years. before ever reaching out.
(Speaker 3)
And now he’s reached out and he’s up 57 % in about eight months. That’s awesome. And we’re gonna put his story on part two of today’s show because he’s in Texas and he’s seven years behind you. But he’s doing a great job. What do you think that thing is where people have bad branding and we’re not aware of it? Someone hasn’t brought it to our attention?
(Speaker 3)
What causes bad branding?
(Speaker 38)
You know, the number one thing I hear business owners say is, well, you know, I don’t really need good branding because I sell everything by word of mouth.
(Speaker 3)
I’ve got such an incredible reputation that everybody just comes to me by word of mouth. OK, yeah, but how much business did you do last year? Well, not very much.
(Speaker 13)
And, you know, I’m really unprofitable, but but I’ve got great reputation out there and I get a lot of word of mouth.
(Speaker 3)
So when people switch over to starting to improve branding, I know you helped us a lot with that in just creating a lot better looking website, creating a, you know, we’ve got an office environment now that is when people walk into our model home, they are blown away. We truly wow our customers when they come to our model homes. It’s a one of a kind experience in the state of Oklahoma.
(Speaker 13)
And the process of that, you know, just going through branding it so that it looks really top -notch.
(Speaker 3)
And, you know, that includes everything from, you know, marketing to all of your senses and everything else. So it just really brought us to another level. And when the customer comes in and experiences us after having walked through other builders’ homes, they usually come in and go, you guys are just on a whole nother level. It’s sights, sounds, smells, experiences, everything that your customer sees, they’re grading you on. And you might not know that they are even judging you because they’re not filling out the form. And I have a funny story to share with you that’s kind of sad.
(Speaker 3)
I was working with a fitness guy years ago, and I’m not going to tell you what studies he’s in or what study folks.
(Speaker 20)
I know you want to know, but I’m not going to tell you.
(Speaker 3)
And he filled out the form because his wife wanted him to schedule a 13 -point assessment.
(Speaker 38)
He did not want to.
(Speaker 3)
And he tells me, Clay, honestly, I’m just doing the call because my wife wants me on the phone. I got to tell you, I don’t really don’t get leads from social media.
(Speaker 48)
I don’t get leads from marketing.
(Speaker 3)
I get all my leads word of mouth, like you were saying. And I said, well, let me just do this. Let’s just, um, this first month working together, let me get all the passwords for your Facebook, your Google, your YouTube. And I’m just as the first month we are, we just, with every single client, we optimize your YouTube, your Facebook, your Instagram, your Twitter, your all that. Yep. We log on.
(Speaker 3)
This is a fitness guy. He was spending like 400 bucks a week, every week on ads. Yeah. And he hadn’t known, he wasn’t aware that every time a lead came in, it got stuck in Facebook and went to an email address that he wasn’t checking. So think about this. And it’s like 15 to 20 leads a week for years this guy had.
(Speaker 3)
That’s not good. And so I’m going, you’re spending $20 ,000 a year on ads that you’re not getting anything from. And are you aware that the phone number on your site rings to a phone that’s no longer a real phone? And I’m serious, this was real. And then he had before and after photos where somebody had had the idea of let’s get before and after photos. You know where you interview someone before they start working out?
(Speaker 3)
Yeah. But then they never completed the thought. You know what I’m saying? I do. Where it’s like they interview him about getting in shape. Yeah.
(Speaker 3)
But then they never completed the thought. like aired the part where they’re in shape. Oh, no. So it’s just sort of like an interview with people that are not in shape. And I’m like, I did.
(Speaker 48)
And again, he’s busy guy, busy entrepreneur, that kind of stuff is very common.
(Speaker 3)
It’s kind of laughable if it’s not your company. But OK, next box, you got to determine your customer acquisition costs. How much does it cost you to get a customer? So Aaron, you guys run ads on Google, on Facebook, on retargeting ads. You have massive signage. There’s a lot of stuff you do.
(Speaker 43)
Why is it important to know how much it costs you, at the end of the day, to get an actual new buyer of a shawl?
(Speaker 3)
Well, because if you want more of those, you know what it costs to go generate more of those.
(Speaker 24)
And it’s…
(Speaker 3)
You know, it’s a cost where it’s like, OK, well, you know, I’m down in sales this month or this quarter or whatever, and I need four more sales to make it a good quarter here before the end of the quarter. And it’s like, I know I can go put money into that and it’s going to cost me X number of dollars per customer to get there. And so then it’s just a matter of do I want to spend that money to get to that point? So, you know, for us, it’s, you know, a pretty high number because it’s a it’s a big ticket item. But for some people, it might be, you know, very small to get that you know, each customer. But for us, you know, it’s, you gotta know what the number is because ultimately that goes into the price of your product and whatever you sell, you know, we’re doing homes.
(Speaker 3)
That is one of our line item costs in our homes. That’s a cost. Yeah. Now, if you go to any of the businesses that I’m involved in, you go to eitrlounge . com forward slash staff. I put in the password here.
(Speaker 3)
Once I put in the password, I have all of the documents needed to run the company. And they’re all saved. So the checklist for the manager the opening checklist for the assistant manager the bathroom cleaning checklist everything needed to grow the company’s all in one place. And therefore the business everybody who works there knows where to go to find that. documents. This is the kind of stuff that fires me up, and it makes other people crazy.
(Speaker 3)
Oh, yeah. So with the conferences we do, if we ever do a conference that’s out of town, I have a checklist of stuff I print out. I know it seems kind of crazy for people, but this is real. I print it out, and it’s like, OK, socks. I’m gone for four days. I want to have 12 pairs of socks.
(Speaker 3)
Why? Because it could be hot. I don’t know. Could get wet. I don’t know. I have a list of deodorant and socks and shaving.
(Speaker 3)
And I have a laptop and a backup laptop. And I have patch cables and XLR cables. And we bring three. You’ve seen all this stuff. But it’s multiple monitors, backup monitors. Backups for everything.
(Speaker 3)
When you guys build a Shaw home, you’re not moving off a guesswork. There’s blueprints, there’s plans, there’s systems, so houses don’t fall down. There’s somebody out here listening right now that doesn’t have systems in place. They don’t have checklists. They don’t have it. And so they have to think about everything all the time, because if not, they forget a step.
(Speaker 3)
What would you say is the importance of having taken the time to have built these systems now? It is the night and day difference between running around like your hair is on fire every day, constantly playing firefighter, or you hear people say, I’m up to my armpits in alligators. It’s because you don’t have systems and processes. And every time at Shaw Homes, every time that we have a problem come up, we automatically go, okay, what step in our system did this fall apart in? And what’s broken in that step? And how can we fix it?
(Speaker 3)
So it never happens again. So we go fix the process. We address the problem for the customer, but then we go back after that and we go, how do we fix the process so we don’t repeat this problem? And the business owners that are running around with their hair on fire all the time, it’s because there’s no systems, no processes. Everything is urgent. Everything is hair on fire.
(Speaker 3)
chaos world that you live in. And if you’re going to build homes for a living and build a lot of them, you cannot live in that chaos world. Now this next box, I get excited about all these boxes. This is what I get excited about. about. This right here is what I care about.
(Speaker 3)
OK, the next box is management and execution. You have people on your team, and I’m just going to give some examples. And I hope this benefits somebody out there listening. You have people on your team. It’s their responsibility. Every time that you do a new house, they go out there and they design or they get the blueprint on the website.
(Speaker 3)
They get the new design of the home because people want to see floor plans. So somebody’s job is to get those up there. Somebody gets photos of every house that you guys are building. Somebody gets videos of every house. Somebody puts them all up for sale. Somebody answers the phone every day.
(Speaker 3)
Somebody calls the leads every day. Somebody cleans the bathroom every day. Somebody builds the houses every day. Now, this is what I find, and I’m sure none of our listeners can relate to this.
(Speaker 13)
Some of our listeners fire people and then nothing happens.
(Speaker 3)
So work with me on this. There’s listeners out there that I talk to them every day because we do free 13 -point assessments. So I talk to two or three people a day who go to thrivetimeshow . com. They wanna schedule a consultation. And the other day you heard me talking to Jordan.
(Speaker 3)
I said, Jordan, go ahead and keep setting those. He set an appointment with someone who’s definitely not a good fit. And you could tell he had a little question if that was okay. And I said, I would rather you set an appointment with somebody than not. Because I don’t know if who’s a good fit or not, you know? But the idea though is I sit down, I was talking to a guy the other day and he was like, you know, the reason why my team did not get Google reviews or videos reviews this week is because we fired a guy.
(Speaker 3)
And I go, cause I’m just asking him, you know, where are we stuck? What’s your biggest limiting factor? I have a big process I go through my evaluation. I said, who calls the leads? He’s like, well, normally I have a person that calls the leads, but we just fired her. And I mean this, I’m going, how long have you been in business?
(Speaker 3)
This guy’s been in business for over 10 years and he’s reaching out for help. Good person. We’re trying to help him.
(Speaker 13)
I think it’s going to be a good fit. But, so I said, so basically everything that’s going on. the systems until they don’t work there anymore.
(Speaker 3)
And then no one does the systems.
(Speaker 23)
And you go back and forth vacillating from things being done to not being done.
(Speaker 3)
And one of my favorite things about working with you guys is that you’re honest people. What does that mean? You do your best to do what you say you’re going to do. And you hold yourself and the employees accountable. Absolutely. But what would happen if every week, You, uh, if somebody wasn’t performing, you remove them from the position and then the houses weren’t built for the week because something wasn’t going well, or because maybe a salesperson wasn’t performing at the peak, you let them go.
(Speaker 3)
And the next thing you know, what would happen if you manage your company that way? It would be a disaster. I mean, I can’t just fire my superintendent without having somebody already ready to take over all of those responsibilities because I’ve got materials showing up at the job site today, tomorrow, and the next day. I’ve got trades showing up who need some supervision, need to know what they’re supposed to be doing.
(Speaker 47)
If I fire that guy with no warning, somebody else has to come fill in that position.
(Speaker 3)
So for us, we try to never have that gap happen. And sometimes it’s like you know that you’re going to need to fire somebody, and you can see the writing on the wall. Right. But you want to get the next person up and ready to go before that happens. And you guys have a weekly meeting. So we talk a lot on this show from an employer perspective.
(Speaker 3)
But how frustrating would it be to be an A -player employee, and you’re working for a C -player boss? You know, a boss that doesn’t have a staff meeting, that’s not organized, that doesn’t pay people on time, that’s constantly emotional. I see that a lot. And so management is a learned skill. And thankfully, you know, when I first met with you, you’d already really mastered, in my opinion, managing people. But this next box is where we, I thought we needed some help, was to build a system for constantly recruiting new people, because certain people work for Shaw Homes for three years or four years,
(Speaker 3)
and then they want to go move, they want to have a baby, they want to stay home, they want to get a new job. And even though you have low turnover at Shaw, certain people get to their expiration date, and it’s time for them to move on to something else. And because we didn’t have a process in place at Shaw at that time to consistently bring in a pipeline of new people, it made it difficult to do the management that was needed. Can you talk about the importance of implementing a human resources program training and retaining good people. It’s huge. I mean, that was definitely an Achilles heel for us.
(Speaker 3)
And you helped, you helped us a lot with that. You know, putting in a, you know, where every single week I’m seeing, you know, potential candidates that could come work for us and their job shadowing and seeing what it’s like to work in our company every single week. Yep. It does multiple things. It helps the people who work there to know, hey, there’s other people who desire to come work here. Here we go.
(Speaker 3)
And if I’m not doing my job, I might get replaced. So there’s a little bit of that. And then it’s also a thing of the people who are shadowing get to see the job being done by people who are happy doing their job. And it helps them to want to come be a part of Shaw Homes. I’ve got a very long list of people right now in every single position. that would be excited to come work for us.
(Speaker 3)
If I did all of a sudden find myself with an opening, you know, because occasionally people leave with no notice or whatever, you know, something happens, family emergency, whatever. Right. And you have that, oh, I need to replace somebody immediately. And the great thing about it is I have a whole bunch of people that I could plug into that position very quickly because every single week I am interviewing. Now, the next box here is you’ve got to do your accounting. In order to earn millions, you have to automate your accounting.
(Speaker 3)
What does that mean? You have to have a system in place for making sure you price your products and services correctly and that you pay yourself first, that you set aside a set amount of money to pay yourself and your staff. And all these things work together. And what I find is people ask me, often just not knowing. They come from a place of a good heart. They don’t know.
(Speaker 3)
They say to me, Clay, what is the most important step in growing Shaw Homes? I’ve heard Aaron on the show.
(Speaker 13)
He’s a great guy.
(Speaker 3)
Clay, I’ve heard PMHOKC on the show. Clay, I’ve seen Oxifresh on the show. What was the most important thing they did? And to me, that’s like asking a hiker, what was the most important step you took to get to the top of that mountain? Well, it was the one we took there an hour ago. I took a left step.
(Speaker 3)
So it’s like asking a baker, what’s the most important ingredient? Is it milk? Is it sugar? Is it eggs? It’s like asking a farmer, what’s the most important thing, feeding the animals or watering them? What’s the key to your success?
(Speaker 3)
There’s just certain questions that I understand people want to know, but all of this has to work together, and nothing works unless you do. So I have three final questions for you. For anybody out there that’s thinking about scheduling a consultation, a free consultation with thrivetimeshow . com and myself, obviously, they’re stuck with me if they fill out the form. I’m the only person that does 13 -point assessments. I believe we, I’ve seen it since 2005, we help people decrease their costs, increase their time, freedom, and profits.
(Speaker 3)
What would you say is the benefit of scheduling that 13 -point assessment? Well, actually, the 13 -point assessment was very eye -opening for me. You asked me a lot of tough questions that I probably should have been asking myself and wasn’t. And so as we went through the questions, I was like, I think at every question you asked me, I was like, oh, that’s a good question. I was like, hang on. Let me think about that for a minute.
(Speaker 3)
So I find that it kind of helps open your eyes to, you know, Hmm, these are some things that I know I have some areas of weakness. And then there were, I think, a couple of the questions where I was like, Oh, I know the answer to this one. I got this one, no problem.
(Speaker 46)
But it helps you sort of identify, I walked away having identified areas of strength
(Speaker 3)
and areas of weakness, even though that really wasn’t the purpose of the phone call necessarily, it helped me to see that.
(Speaker 45)
And then I was like, hmm.
(Speaker 3)
I think I have a need in a couple of these areas, and I didn’t really know what to do for myself. I didn’t have the answers. You know, in part three of today’s show, part two, we’re going to show the Ronnie Morales story. On part three, we’re going to do a testimony with Myron. And Myron just bought his first Lamborghini today, and he’s super fired up. And so Myron’s about six years down the path.
(Speaker 3)
We’ve been working with you for about eight years, whereas Ronnie’s been with us for less than a year. And it’s at a certain point that we have to take action.
(Speaker 13)
Knowledge without application is meaningless.
(Speaker 3)
What would you say to somebody who’s like, you know, it’s $1 ,700 a month.
(Speaker 36)
And, you know, I’m spending that much right now on random ads and that much money on, uh, random regrettable purchases at the gas station.
(Speaker 3)
And, you know, a lot of iTunes I’m downloading, I’m spending $1 ,700 a month on various things. And I don’t know if I can afford it because I’ve just bought another vehicle that I can’t afford, but I’m leasing it. You know, what would you say to anybody who’s kind of on that fence? I mean, I would say you need to do it. I mean, it has been a game changer for us. I don’t know why you would sit there and think $1 ,700 a month is too much money to spend.
(Speaker 3)
Go find the money somewhere.
(Speaker 13)
Go empty out your sofa cushions.
(Speaker 3)
Go sell the stuff that you have in your house that you’re not using. I mean, go get whatever you need to do to get to that place. You need to find that $1 ,700. And I will say this. That cost was very quickly replaced with the extra money we were making. And I’ve seen, I’ve actually seen, cause I’ve been around you for a long time.
(Speaker 3)
I’ve seen a lot of your clients come in and right off the bat, they’re real nervous about, am I going to be able to, you know, cause maybe they’re a smaller company or whatever. And they’re like, I’m wondering if I’m going to be able to handle this 1700 a month. And then I see them six months later and I’m like, how’s it going now? And they’re like, man, we’re just hitting rock bottom. record. I have referred several business owners.
(Speaker 3)
And they’re doing great. That are killing it. And that, you know, I’ll give one example. I won’t name the person, but I did send one of my very good friends to you who was on the verge of losing his business because he just wasn’t able. He had bought another one of the shops of what he does. He opened it and it was not profitable and it was going to take under both of his shops.
(Speaker 3)
And I sent him over to you. And I remember about three months later, I asked him, how’s it going? And he goes, man, we just had a record -breaking month. This was amazing. And by the way, he said, first, he just hit another record -breaking month, just so you know. Yeah.
(Speaker 3)
And I know right now, not only does he have way more income, but he has a lot more time freedom, because he’s been working with you for many years now. And so it changed his life, just like it changed my life. I would say, if you’re thinking about doing a 13 -point assessment, stop thinking. Dial the phone. Pause this video. Make the phone call.
(Speaker 3)
Reach out to Clay. Get it started right now.
(Speaker 33)
Now, final question I have is, I think people look at oxyfresh .
(Speaker 3)
com, and they go in.
(Speaker 44)
500 locations now.
(Speaker 3)
Yeah. And they look at elephant in the room and they go, there’s five brick and mortar locations.
(Speaker 43)
Now they look at Shaw homes and they go, you know, this, these are big success stories.
(Speaker 38)
I don’t know that I can do it.
(Speaker 25)
What would you say to somebody out there that just feel like they might not have the, like all this stuff they’re going to learn is going to be over their head, too complicated.
(Speaker 3)
What would you say? I would say the information, the ideas are easy. It’s the application that is difficult for people. The ideas that you share, there’s nothing that’s like, oh my God, I don’t have a PhD, therefore I can’t do it. I feel like it’s all very, very simple stuff. But it is a lot of action to get traction and you got to get the action going.
(Speaker 3)
And I think if somebody has diligence and discipline or can learn diligence or discipline, they’re going to do extremely well. And it’s not about education. It’s about action. Now, Aaron, I got one thing. I want to say, and then we’ll kind of wrap up today’s show, okay, with a boom, because boom stands for big, overwhelming, optimistic momentum, and that’s what’s required to have success. You know, people watching this, they’re going, Aaron, you know, he looks like a normal guy.
(Speaker 3)
Well, that’s true. They say, well, he sounds like a normal guy. Sounds like an all right guy. You know, that’s true. But the one thing you can’t quite picture on the show, and I want to just give that gift to you folks who are watching, is Aaron smells tremendous. It’s like a, it’s a, it’s like a, if you had smell -o -vision, if you could just get up there and just smell that, it’s incredible.
(Speaker 24)
And it’s really, it’s, it’s his aroma that allows him to achieve massive success.
(Speaker 3)
So unless, so if you’re out there and you’re going, what’s the secret sauce? It’s not a sauce. It’s more of just a smell. So, uh, I don’t know if you qualify to have the kind of success he has, unless you smell like he smells. It’s a really tremendous smell. Okay.
(Speaker 3)
Let’s do this thing with the boom. Here we go. Three, two, one. Boom. Well, Thrive Nation, we have an opportunity all the time. We have.
(Speaker 16)
OK, Aaron Antis, guess who’s joining us for the December 4th and 5th, 2025 Thrive Time Show Business Growth Workshop.
(Speaker 3)
Whoa.
(Speaker 39)
Ooh. Santa Claus?
(Speaker 37)
No, we will not be joined by Santa Claus, but we will be joined by Eric Trump, the son of the 45th and now 47th president of these United States. And yes, Amanda Grace will be in the place.
(Speaker 36)
And yes, Dr. Stella Manuel will be there, so you know it will go well. Yes, we have Mel Kaye in the house.
(Speaker 3)
Pastor Phil and Tammy Hotsenpiller will be hosting this event at their beautiful church right there in sunny Anaheim, California. Yes, folks, make this a December to remember. Make this a December to remember and join us at the two day interactive business growth workshops. For over 20 years, folks, I’ve been hosting business growth workshops, where we’re going to teach you marketing, sales systems, human resources, accounting, social media marketing, branding, sales training, search engine optimization, accounting, workflow development, financial management, all this and more. How do you get tickets? Go to thrivetimeshow .
(Speaker 3)
com. Again, how do you get tickets? Go to thrivetimeshow . com and request tickets today. And now Eric Trump, people don’t know this, but the Trump Organization has thousands of employees. There’s not 50 employees.
(Speaker 3)
The Trump Organization, again, most people don’t know this, but the Trump Organization has thousands of employees.
(Speaker 35)
And while Donald J. Trump was the 45th president of these United States, And this just in from our home office.
(Speaker 3)
President Donald J. Trump is now the 47th president of these United States as well.
(Speaker 34)
I’m Ron Burgundy.
(Speaker 3)
He needed someone to run the companies for him. And so the man that runs the Trump organization for Donald J. Trump as he was the 45th president of the United States and now the 47th president of the United States is Eric Trump. So Eric Trump is here to talk about time management promoting from within marketing branding quality control sales systems workflow design workflow mapping how to build. I mean everything you see the Trump hotels the Trump golf courses all their products. The man who manages Billions of dollars of real estate and thousands of employees is here to teach us how to do it. You are talking about one of the greatest brands on the planet from a business standpoint.
(Speaker 3)
I mean, who else has been able to create a brand like the Trump brand? I mean, look at it. And this is the man behind the business for the last pretty much since 2015. He’s been the man behind it. So you’re talking, we’re into nine going into 10 years of him running it. And we get to tap into that knowledge.
(Speaker 33)
That’s going to be amazing.
(Speaker 3)
Now think about this for a second. Nothing is over until we decided this.
(Speaker 13)
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
(Speaker 32)
German?
(Speaker 3)
Forget it. He’s rolling. And it ain’t over now. The lineup continues to grow. And this is how we do our tickets here at the Thrive Time Show. If you want to get a VIP ticket, you can absolutely do it.
(Speaker 3)
It’s $500 for a VIP ticket. We’ve always done it that way. Now, if you want to take a general admission ticket, it’s $250 or whatever price you want to pay. And the reason why I do that and the reason why we do that is because we want to make our events affordable for everybody. I grew up without money. I totally understand what it’s like to be in a tight spot.
(Speaker 3)
So if you want to attend, it’s $250 or whatever price you want to pay. That’s how I do it. And it’s $500 for a VIP ticket. Now, we only have limited seating here. There’s a lot of togetherness and closeness, camaraderie. So again, if you want to get tickets for this event, all you have to do is go to thrivetimeshow .
(Speaker 3)
com. Go to thrivetimeshow . com. When you go to thrivetimeshow . com, you’ll go there, you’ll request a ticket, boom. Or if you want to text me, if you want a little bit faster service, you say, I want you to call me right now.
(Speaker 3)
Just text my number. It’s my cell phone number, my personal cell phone number. We’ll keep that in mind. Private between you, between you, me, everybody. We’ll keep that private. And anybody, don’t share that with anybody except for everybody.
(Speaker 3)
That’s my private cell phone number. It’s 918 -851 -0102. 918 -851 -0102. I know we have a lot of Spanish -speaking people that attend these conferences. And so to be bilingually sensitive, my cell phone number is 918 -851 -0102. That is not actually bilingual.
(Speaker 3)
That’s just saying Juan for a Juan. It’s not the same thing. I think you’re attacking me. Now, let’s talk about this. Now, what kind of stuff will you learn at the Thrive Time Show workshop? So, Aaron, you’ve been to many of these over the past seven, eight years.
(Speaker 3)
So let’s talk about it. I’ll tee up the thing and then you tell me what you’re going to learn here, OK? OK. You’re going to learn marketing, marketing and branding. What are we going to learn about marketing and branding? Oh, yeah.
(Speaker 3)
We’re going to dive into, you know, so many people say, oh, you know, I got to get my brand known out there like the Trump brand. You want to get that brand out there. It’s like, how do I actually make people know what my business is? is and make it a household name. You’re going to learn some intricacies of how you can do that. You’re going to learn sales.
(Speaker 3)
So many people struggle to sell something. This just in, your business will go to hell if you can’t sell. So we’re going to teach you sales. We’re going to teach you search engine optimization, how to come up top in the search engine results. We’re going to teach you how to manage people. Aaron, you have managed, no exaggeration, hundreds of people throughout your career and thousands of contractors.
(Speaker 3)
And most people struggle with managing people. Why does everybody have to learn how to manage people? Well, because first of all, people are, you either have great people or you have people who suck. And so it can be a challenge. You know, learning how to work with a large group of people and get everybody pulling in the same direction can be a challenge. But if you have the right systems, you have the right processes, and you’re really good at selecting great ones, and we have a process we teach about how to find great people.
(Speaker 3)
When you start with the people who have a great attitude, they’re teachable, they’re driven, all of those things, then you can get those people all pulling in the same direction. So we’re going to teach you branding, marketing, sales, search engine optimization. We’re going to teach you accounting. We’re going to teach you personal finance, how to manage your finance. We’re going to teach you time management. How do you manage your time?
(Speaker 3)
How do you get more done during a typical day? How do you build an organization if you’re not organized? How do you do organization? How do you build an org chart? Everything that you need to know to start and grow a business will be taught during this two -day interactive business workshop. Now, let me tell you how the format is set up here.
(Speaker 3)
And again, folks, this is a two -day interactive 15. Think about this, folks. It’s two days. Each day, it starts at 7 AM, and it goes until 5 PM. So from 7 AM to 5 PM, two days. It’s a two -day interactive workshop.
(Speaker 3)
The way we do it is we do a 30 -minute teaching session, and then we break for 15 minutes for a question and answer session. So Aaron, what kind of great stuff stuff happens during that 15 minute question and answer session after every teaching session. I actually think it’s the best part about the workshops, because here’s what happens. I’ve been to lots of these things over the years, I’ve paid many thousands of dollars to go to them. And you go in there and they talk in vague generalities. And they’re constantly upselling you for something trying to get you to buy this thing or that thing or this program or this membership.
(Speaker 3)
And you don’t, you leave not getting your very specific questions answered about your business or your employees or what you’re doing on your marketing. And what’s awesome about this is we literally answer every single question that any person asks. And it’s very specific to what your business is.
(Speaker 1)
And what we do is we allow you as the attendee to write your questions on the whiteboard.
(Speaker 30)
And then we literally, as you mentioned, we answer every single question on the whiteboard.
(Speaker 3)
And then we take a 15 minute break to stretch. And this is also your opportunity to meet some of the great speakers like Pastor Dave Scarlett. You could meet Mel K. You could meet Amanda Grace. You could meet Dr. Stella Emanuel. You could just grab a coffee. You could find some alone time.
(Speaker 3)
You could get lost in the bathroom. You could try to go and get a photo with one of the speakers. You could try to photobomb a photo where someone else is getting a photo with the speakers. You could go attempt to find your phone, wallet, and your keys. That’s a good idea. That means you have less than 3 % of our population that’s even self -employed.
(Speaker 3)
So you only have 3 out of every 100 people in America that are self -employed to begin with. And when Inc. Magazine reports that 96 % of businesses fail by default, by default, you have a 1 out of 1 ,000 chance of succeeding. in the game of business. But yet, the average client that you and I work with, we can typically double the size.
(Speaker 4)
No hyperbole, no exaggeration.
(Speaker 3)
I have thousands of testimonials to back this up. We have thousands of testimonials to back it up. But when you work with a home builder, when I work with a business owner, we can typically double the size of the company within 24 months. And you say, double? Yeah, there’s businesses that we have tripled. There’s businesses we’ve grown 8x.
(Speaker 32)
There’s so many examples.
(Speaker 28)
You can see it thrivetimeshow .
(Speaker 3)
com. But again, this is the most interactive, best business workshop on the planet. This is objectively the highest rated and most reviewed business workshop on the planet. Add to that Eric Trump, the man that runs the Trump Organization. You say, Clay, I still, I’m not going to get a ticket unless you give me more.
(Speaker 13)
Okay, fine.
(Speaker 3)
We’re going to serve you the same meal both days. True story.
(Speaker 27)
We have, we cater in the food and because I keep it simple.
(Speaker 3)
I literally bring in the same food both days for lunch. Who’s with me?
(Speaker 25)
Let’s go!
(Speaker 26)
It was an incredible Mexican restaurant.
(Speaker 25)
That’s going to happen.
(Speaker 12)
Everyone says, I want more. This is not enough. Give me more. OK. I’m not going to mention their names right now because I’m working on it behind the scenes here. We just continue to add more and more success stories.
(Speaker 17)
So if you’re out there today and you want to change your life, you want to give yourself an incredible gift, you want a life changing experience, you want to learn how to start and grow a company, Go to Thrivetimeshow . com. Go there right now.
(Speaker 6)
Thrivetimeshow .
(Speaker 16)
com. Request a ticket for the two -day interactive event.
(Speaker 11)
Again, the event’s going to be on December 4th and 5th in sunny Anaheim, California. Great weather. Make this a December to remember. Eric Trump, the man who leads the Trump Organization. It’s going to be a blasty blast.
(Speaker 1)
There’s no upsells.
(Speaker 16)
Aaron, I could not be more excited about this event. I think it is incredible. And there’s somebody out there right now.
(Speaker 11)
You’re watching, and you’re like, but I already signed up for this event. other program called Smoke Your Way to Thin.
(Speaker 42)
I think that’s gonna change your life.
(Speaker 11)
I promise you, this will be 10 times better than that. It’s like I picked the wrong week to quit smoking. Don’t do the Smoke Your Way to Thin conference.
(Speaker 24)
That is, I’ve tried it, don’t do it.
(Speaker 4)
Yeah, chain smoking is not a viable, I mean, it is life -changing. It is life -changing. If you become a jade smoker, it is life -changing. Not the best weight -loss program, though. Right, not really. So if you’re looking to have life -changing results in a way that won’t cause you to have a stoma, get your tickets at Thrivetimeshow .
(Speaker 4)
com. Again, that’s Aaron Antis. I’m Clay Clark, reminding you and inviting you to come out to the two -day interactive Thrivetimeshow workshop in beautiful Anaheim, California. I’m Vince Suzuki, also from Sarasota, Florida. You dragged me here.
(Speaker 18)
Yep.
(Speaker 23)
I was here in 2018, and it changed my business, and I built another business, and now I’m here to do it again with this business.
(Speaker 4)
I’m a brand strategist, and it’s been really easy to go to a lot of events like this and just leave really in your head what to do next. And already there’s the strategic, step -by -step, real -life implementation that we can do to our business.
(Speaker 10)
And I’m so grateful to be here. And I’m very excited that Eric Hump is here. And that is going to be epic. My name is Erica, and it has been amazing being here at the conference. I’m learning so much. Everything is perfect for me.
(Speaker 10)
Clay Clark, man, he is one character. That’s a good word for him, character. Yeah, that is it. Good, driven, smart, and I’ve never met a guy who was so hyper all the time. He’s doing so much good. And then I met his mother and she just says, she just lets him be Clay Clark.
(Speaker 6)
I mean, so he’s endorsed by his mother and he’s doing magnificent work.
(Speaker 11)
So it was great meeting you out there and all the people that he surrounds himself with.
(Speaker 3)
His, Clay Clark starts his days at five o ‘clock in the morning.
(Speaker 41)
Oh, it’s incredible.
(Speaker 3)
Yeah. He’s, he’s like, he’s, he’s a machine. He’s a machine. But his, you know, I have problems with my company starting at nine o ‘clock. He has hundreds of people showing up at 5 a . m.
(Speaker 3)
in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Man, he’s a leader of a leader. He’s a fantastic young man. No, he is. And the greatest thing that’ll come out of all of it, aside from winning the presidency of the United States, we’ll get to that in a second. Was an everlasting friendship between clay and I because I’m telling you there’s not too many people in the world that have this man’s backbone and his Tenaciousness and his perseverance and so buddy.
(Speaker 3)
I love you and your general Flynn.
(Speaker 22)
Thank you.
(Speaker 3)
You guys are incredible You guys are incredible warriors. You guys are incredible incredible warrior. So thank you my friend plate Clark is here somewhere Where’s my buddy clay clay is the greatest? I met his goats today. I met his dogs. I met his chickens.
(Speaker 3)
I saw his compound. He’s like the greatest guy. I ran from his goats, his chickens, his dogs.
(Speaker 40)
So this guy’s like the greatest marketer you’ve ever seen, right?
(Speaker 3)
His entire life, Clay Clark, his entire life is marketing.
(Speaker 30)
4 ,000 % from February to February.
(Speaker 39)
Now, I can better that.
(Speaker 38)
Okay, Clay, I don’t think you know this.
(Speaker 37)
I don’t think you know this.
(Speaker 36)
I’m pinching myself, and if I cry, forgive me.
(Speaker 3)
In the last two and a half days, we have bettered our entire month of February in the last two and a half days. So and the phone’s blowing up. Everything’s just blowing up. You’re right. It is like a rocket ship.
(Speaker 3)
So we’re pinching ourselves, actually. I learned at the Academy at King’s Point in New York, acta non verba. Watch what a person does, not what they say. OK, Aaron Antis, guess who’s joining us for the December 4th and 5th, 2025 Thrive Time Show Business Growth Workshop. Ooh, Santa Claus? He’s fresh.
(Speaker 35)
Make this a December to remember and join us at the two -day interactive business growth workshops. That is not actually bilingual. That’s just saying Juan for a Juan. It’s not the same thing. I think you’re attacking me. Now, let’s talk about this. Now, what kind of stuff will you learn at the Thrive Time Show Workshop?

We’re going to teach you time management. How do you manage your time? How do you get more done during a typical day? How do you build an organization if you’re not organized? How do you do organization? How do you build an org chart?
(Speaker 3)
Everything that you need to know to start and grow a business will be taught during this two -day interactive business workshop. Now let me tell you how the format is set up here. And again, folks, this is a two -day interactive 15.
(Speaker 31)
Think about this, folks.
(Speaker 3)
It’s two days. Each day, it starts at 7 AM, and it goes until 5 PM. So from 7 AM to 5 PM, two days. It’s a two -day interactive workshop. The way we do it is we do a 30 -minute teaching session, and then we break for 15 minutes for a question and answer session. So Aaron, what kind of great stuff stuff happens during that 15 minute question and answer session after every teaching session?
(Speaker 3)
I actually think it’s the best part about the workshops, because here’s what happens. I’ve been to lots of these things over the years, I’ve paid many thousands of dollars to go to them.
(Speaker 1)
And you go in there, and they talk in vague generalities.
(Speaker 30)
And they’re constantly upselling you for something trying to get you to buy this thing or that thing or this program or this membership.
(Speaker 3)
And you don’t, you leave not getting your very specific questions answered about your business or your employees. what you’re doing on your marketing. And what’s awesome about this is we literally answer every single question that any person asks.
(Speaker 29)
And it’s very specific to what your business is.
(Speaker 3)
And what we do is we allow you as the attendee to write your questions on the whiteboard. And then we literally, as you mentioned, we answer every single question on the whiteboard. And then we take a 15 minute break to stretch. And this is also your opportunity to meet some of the great speakers, like Pastor Dave Scarlett. You could meet Mel K. You could meet Amanda Grace. You could meet Dr. Stella Emanuel.
(Speaker 3)
You could just grab a coffee. You could find some alone time. You could get lost in the bathroom. You could try to go and get a photo with one of the speakers. You could try to photobomb a photo where someone else is getting a photo with the speakers. You could go attempt to find your phone, wallet, and your keys.
(Speaker 3)
My phone, wallet, keys. Yeah, phone, wallet, keys. Whoa.
(Speaker 4)
now that’s a good idea well it’s going to be great and then you’re in the company of hundreds of entrepreneurs so there’s not a lot of people in america today in fact there’s less than 10 million people today according to u .
(Speaker 3)
s debt clock that identifies being self -employed so if you have a country with 350 million people That means you have less than 3 % of our population that’s even self -employed. So you only have 3 out of every 100 people in America that are self -employed to begin with. And when Inc. Magazine reports that 96 % of businesses fail by default, By default, you have a 1 out of 1 ,000 chance of succeeding in the game of business. But yet, the average client that you and I work with, we can typically double the size.
(Speaker 28)
No hyperbole, no exaggeration.
(Speaker 13)
And I have thousands of testimonials to back this up. We have thousands of testimonials to back it up.
(Speaker 3)
But when you work with a home builder, when I work with a business owner, we can typically double the size of the company within 24 months. And you say, double? Yeah, there’s businesses that we have tripled. There’s businesses we’ve grown 8x. There’s so many of them. you can see at thrive timeshow .com.
(Speaker 27)
com.
(Speaker 3)
But again, this is the most interactive best business workshop on the planet. This is objectively the highest rated and most reviewed business workshop on the planet.
(Speaker 25)
Add to that Eric Trump, the man that runs the Trump organization.
(Speaker 26)
You say, Clay, I still, I’m not going to get a ticket unless you give me more.
(Speaker 25)
OK, fine.
(Speaker 12)
We’re going to serve you the same meal both days. True story. We cater to the food, and because I keep it simple, I literally bring in the same food both days for lunch.
(Speaker 17)
Who’s with me? Let’s go!
(Speaker 11)
Come on!
(Speaker 9)
It was an incredible Mexican restaurant.
(Speaker 16)
That’s going to happen. I want more.

That is, I’ve tried it.
(Speaker 4)
Don’t do it. Chain smoking is not a viable, I mean, it is life changing. It is life changing. If you become a chain smoker, it is life changing. Not the best weight loss program though.

(Speaker 10)
I’m Vince Suzuki, also from Sarasota, Florida. He dragged me here. Yup. I was here in 2018, and it changed my business, and I built another business, and now I’m here to do it again with this business. Brand strategist, and it’s been really easy to go to a lot of events like this and just leave really in your head what to do next. And already there’s the strategic, step -by -step, real -life implementation that we can do to our business, and I’m super excited to be here.
(Speaker 10)
I’m very excited that Eric Hump is here, and that is going to be epic. My name is Erica, and it has been amazing being here at the conference. I’m learning so much. Everything is perfect for me. Clay Clark, man, he is one character. It’s a good word for him, character.
(Speaker 11)
Yeah, that is it. driven, smart. And I’ve never met a guy who was so hyper all the time.
(Speaker 3)
He’s doing so much good. And then I met his mother. And she just says, she just lets him be Clay Clark. I mean, so he’s endorsed by his mother.
(Speaker 22)
And he’s doing magnificent work.
(Speaker 21)
So it was great meeting you out there and all the people that he surrounds himself with.
(Speaker 3)
His Clay Clark starts his days at five o ‘clock in the morning. Oh, it’s incredible. Yeah, he he’s like he’s he’s a machine. He’s a machine. But his you know, I could I have problems with my company starting at nine o ‘clock.
(Speaker 3)
Yes. Hundreds of people showing up at five a . m. in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Man, he’s a leader of a leader. He’s a fantastic young man.
(Speaker 3)
No, he is. And the greatest thing that will come out of all of it, aside from winning the presidency of the United States, we’ll get to that in a second.
(Speaker 4)
Was an everlasting friendship between clay and I because I’m telling you there’s not too many people in the world that have this man’s backbone and his Tenaciousness and his perseverance and so buddy. I love you and to general Flynn. Thank you. You guys are incredible You guys are incredible warriors. You guys are incredible incredible warrior. (Speaker 4)
I met his goats today. I met his dogs. I met his chickens. I saw his compound. He’s like the greatest guy. I ran from his goats, his chickens, his dogs.
(Speaker 4)
So this guy’s like the greatest marketer you’ve ever seen, right? His entire life, Clay Clark, his entire life is marketing. Four thousand percent from February to February. Now, I can better that. OK, Clay, I don’t think you know this. I don’t think you know this.
(Speaker 4)
I’m pinching myself. And if I cry, forgive me. In the last two and a half days, we have bettered our entire month of February and the last two and a half days. So and the phone’s blowing up. Everything’s just blowing up. Well you’re right.
(Speaker 4)
It is like a rocket ship.
(Speaker 3)
So we’re pinching ourselves. Actually I learned at the Academy at Kings Point in New York. Octagon Verba. Watch what a person does not what they say. We’re going to move on. action mode here.
(Speaker 3)
So for anybody out there, if you say, I would like to go to Mar -a -Lago. Now, Jackson, you know, this just in, they raided Mar -a -Lago. You know about this? This just in. And so some people say, you know, that wasn’t cool. I didn’t like that.
(Speaker 3)
But you know, so a lot of people out there, we want to kind of stick it to the New York Times. We want Eric to become the number one best -selling author in America. And we also, we kind of also want to go to Mar -a -Lago and check it out. We’ve never been there before. So what we’re going to do is for anybody right now, if you go to Amazon right now and you buy a copy of Eric Trump’s book, Under Siege, My Family’s Fighter, to save our nation. So you go to Amazon right now, you buy a copy of the book.
(Speaker 3)
And you just text a screenshot of your proof of purchase to my cell phone number, 918 -851 -0102.
(Speaker 15)
So text my number, 918 -851 -0102.
(Speaker 3)
So again, step one, you go here to amazon . com, you buy a copy of the book Under Siege, then you just text a screenshot of your purchase, your proof of purchase.
(Speaker 4)
You text my number, 918 -851 -0102.
(Speaker 3)
You have a chance to win a dinner at Mar -a -Lago with Eric Trump and myself, and there’s more. to go right there just for your viewers. It’s the most exclusive private club in the world. $2 million to get into just base membership fee. And I promise we’re going to make your night absolutely incredible. Clay goes, listen, why don’t we do this?
(Speaker 3)
Why don’t we put it out to all the amazing reawakened people, all the people who supported us all around the country, all around at every one of these conferences who adore your family. We’ve got to beat The New York Times. The New York Times is going to do everything they can. Even though we’re number one on Amazon right now, we just hit number one this morning. New York Times is going to do everything they can to keep you from being number one bestseller. You know that.
(Speaker 3)
I know that. You know the games that they’re willing to play. But Clay goes well we do a couple of things. First of all love having dinner with Clay. He’s the greatest. Second of all why don’t we bring one of one of the amazing people that I guarantee you I’ve been in front of at all these events.
(Speaker 3)
You know what. Why don’t we bring a couple to dinner at Mar -a -Lago. And I said absolutely. Consider it done. So I said they have to text you Clay.
(Speaker 3)
They can’t text me, because we’ll be getting 1 ,000 of these. But yeah, go buy a book, text Clay, and we’ll set up a dinner. I’ll make sure you guys have the absolute time of your life. I want to pull this up again one more time here, Jackson, because I think sometimes I’m a poor communicator, and I need to work on communicating more effectively. So you go to Amazon. That’s step one, OK?
(Speaker 3)
You buy a copy of the book, Pop Quiz. What book?
(Speaker 4)
Under Siege. You buy a copy of Under Siege and then you screenshot a picture of that and you text my phone number. It’s 918 -851 -0102. Folks, that is my cell phone number, so we’ll keep that private between you and me and everybody. And then when you text that to me, you have a chance to win a backstage pass to the actual in -person business workshop. That’s a business growth workshop, December 4th and 5th, featuring Eric Trump in Anaheim, California.
(Speaker 4)
and you have a chance to win dinner with Eric Trump and myself at Mar -a -Lago. Now, someone says, when does this contest end? Now, Eric, your birthday was hijacked, OK? So your birthday was hijacked. January 6th is this man’s birthday. He now has to switch his birthday, because no one wants to talk about his birthday on January 6th anymore.
(Speaker 4)
So we’re going to run this promotion until November 5th. That’s my birthday. No, no. So we’re going to run it until October 14th. October 14th. It has to be pre -sale.
(Speaker 4)
This just in. It has to be between October 14th. That’s why we’re clarifying. October 14th. Now, folks, let me just clarify this real quick here. So make sure I’m leaving you with some good clarity here.
(Speaker 4)
One, you buy a copy of Under Siege on Amazon. That’s the step one. Step two, you text a screenshot of that purchase to my cell phone number, 918 -851 -0102. Three, you have to do that before October 14th. Before October 14th, this just in, it has to be before October 14th. And you have a chance to win a backstage pass to the upcoming business workshop.
(Speaker 4)
You have a chance to have dinner with Eric Trump at Mar -a -Lago. And I want to tell you some benefits of buying the book. One, I’ve read the book. It’s incredible. father out there and you want to learn about mentoring your kids, it’s a great book. If you want to learn about American history, it’s a great book.
(Speaker 4)
If you want to make America great again, it is a great book. It’s a you got to have. Now here is just a quick editor’s note.
(Speaker 3)
You do not have to buy a copy of Eric Trump’s book Under Siege to be entered into the drawing. Just text the number. All you have to do is just text the number 918 -851 -0102 and you will be entered into the drawing for a chance to win a copy of Eric Trump’s book, Under Siege.
(Speaker 20)
and a once -in -a -lifetime opportunity to hang out with Eric Trump and Clay Clark at Mar -a -Lago, and win a backstage pass at the upcoming Thrivetimeshow .
(Speaker 3)
com two -day interactive business workshop. Again, you do not have to buy a copy of the book to be entered into the drawing, but it would be great if you’d buy a copy of the book, because that would make sense. However, that is all, and now back to the interview. Also, Eric, a final question here for you. You are donating a portion of the proceeds to support Charlie Kirk in his continued mission there. Could you tell us about that briefly there, and then we’ll let you get back to what you’re doing today, sir?
(Speaker 4)
Yeah, well, I was on with Benny Johnson. Benny Johnson was a great friend of Charlie Kirk’s, as you know.
(Speaker 19)
And you know Benny, and Benny’s a very good friend of mine. And Kash Patel is a very good friend of mine and was a very good friend of Charlie’s. You watch everybody that’s up on that stage every single day as they got to the bottom of exactly what happened, and they brought justice to what happened, or are trying to bring justice to what happened. And it’s kind of unthinkable. But you know St. Jude, and I talk a lot about St. Jude in this book, because fighting pediatric cancer has always been a cornerstone of my life. But Charlie truly, truly, truly was the epitome of being under siege, not only in the movement that he helped create, but obviously in how his life was savagely taken.
My book came out three days, two and a half days before Charlie’s assassination. You better believe he would have been the final chapter of this book as just another of what these people will do at any cost. to try and win, because it’s who they are. It’s the not -so -tolerant left. And we can never let our voices be extinguished, Clay.
You stood on that stage, as well as anybody I’ve ever seen stand on a stage. You did our reawakened events all across the country, which you funded out of your back pocket, because you believed in America. You believed in a greater country. And you were on that stage every single day. You know I was on that stage with you every single day. And I was on the turning point stage with Charlie all the time.
on stages across the country and three campaigns. I’ve stood on thousands of them. And honestly, they don’t want us to stand on that stage. That’s why they’re sending bullets from rooftops. They don’t want us to go out there with a bullhorn and have loud, independent thought. When they see these beautiful arenas full of kids and they’re cheering, they’re celebrating, they’re holding American flags, they don’t want that.
And so they want to silence us. They want to silence our voice. That’s why they killed Charlie. That’s why they tried to kill my father. That’s why they sent 112 subpoenas to me. That’s why they wanted me in jail and my father in jail and Don in jail.
That’s why they made up the hoaxes. They wanted to see us destroyed and gone with no voice, with no money, with no company, with no political aspirations, gone. And we can’t allow that to happen. And so we need to make sure the turning point continues. We need to make sure incredible patriots like you continue to spread you know, sensical speech, pro -American values, you know, pro -religious, pro -constitutional values. And that’s why I want to donate the funds to Turning Point.
I want to donate, you know, a portion of the funds to Turning Point because we can’t allow, we can’t allow anarchy to win and we can’t allow voices to be deleted. And we need to keep Charlie’s legacy going. Eric Trump, thank you so much. joining us. Pastor Jackson, thank you so much for joining us. Absolutely.
Eric, have a great day. We really do appreciate you. Everybody go out there and buy that book, Undersea. Just not too early to buy your Christmas gifts. And if you have a Democrat in your family, buy them a copy as well. Eric Trump, take care.
Thanks, guys. See you later.
