Some shows don’t need a celebrity narrator to introduce the show, but this show does. In a world filled with endless opportunities, why would two men who have built 13 multi -million dollar businesses altruistically invest five hours per day to teach you the best practice business systems and moves that you can use, because they believe in you, and they have a lot of time on their hands. They started from the bottom, now they’re here. It’s the Thrive Time Show, starring the former U .
(Speaker 73)
S.
(Speaker 13)
Small Business Administration’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Clay Clark, and the entrepreneur trapped inside an optometrist’s bunny, Dr. Robert Zunich. Two men, eight kids, co -created by two different women. 13 multi -million dollar businesses.
(Speaker 40)
We started from the bottom and now we’re at the top.
(Speaker 45)
Teaching you the systems to get what we got.
(Speaker 1)
Colton Dixon’s on the hoops. I break down the books. Seeds bring in some wisdom and the good roots.
(Speaker 13)
So if you see my wife and kids…
(Speaker 15)
Tortillasoup .
(Speaker 1)
com, that’s the website, yeah, tortillasoup .
(Speaker 31)
com.
(Speaker 1)
It’s beautiful. Got stevecurrington . com, Pastor Jackson Laumeyer. And what we’re going to do is we’re going to bring up these guys here for a few minutes, then they’ll disappear and we’ll bring you guys back up, okay? Perfect.
(Speaker 10)
We’re going to talk about marketing.
(Speaker 1)
Marketing.
(Speaker 30)
Marketing.
(Speaker 1)
Marketing. Marketing is important because it’s like the lifeblood to your business, right? Marketing is to business what food, water is to the human body. You gotta have marketing. We gotta have marketing, right? So we’re gonna get into marketing, but I wanna go over the items that are in your stack of stuff here, because we gave you a stack of stuff.
(Speaker 1)
So let’s look at the stack of stuff. Who here has this document here?
(Speaker 72)
Kinda wave it at me, maybe you guys can see it.
(Speaker 1)
Who has this document? It’s called a one sheet. Can you wave it at me if you have a one sheet on your desk? Every business needs to have a one sheet. Now, a one sheet is what you do in a way that people who are not you can succinctly understand. Everybody needs to have a one sheet.
(Speaker 1)
So these are things for you to look at or use, but think about how you can apply it to your company. So if you’re a doctor, you’re a dentist, you’re a lawyer, people are in your lobby, people are meeting with you face -to -face, they’re online, you want to have a one -sheet, okay? So Pastor Jackson, Sheridan . Church, your website is kind of your one -sheet. When people go to Sheridan .
(Speaker 1)
Church, they need to know what you’re all about, and in a world of woke pastors and all this stuff, what are you about at Sheridan . Church? Jesus is our priority, the gospel is the mission, and discipleship’s our purpose. Pretty simple. There it is, okay? Tomorrow night, tomorrow night at 630, Amanda Grace and Pastor Jackson Laumeyer and Colton Dixon, the Christian Top 40 artist.
(Speaker 1)
They’re going to be leading us in praise and worship. So Colton will be doing praise and worship and Amanda Grace will be teaching and preaching as well as Pastor Jackson. So tomorrow night, 630 here. If you want to be here, if not, no worries. But if you want to, 630 tomorrow night, that’s going to be Amanda Grace. That’s going to be Pastor Jackson.
(Speaker 1)
That’s going to be Colton Dixon. And then for those of you that chose to purchase a VIP ticket, there’s a VIP dinner. at my house tonight. And my house, excuse me, your house, really?
(Speaker 49)
My house is like 600 yards that way.
(Speaker 1)
So we’ll all go walk down the path of success. Two clicks. We’ll run into my house. So, okay. So, again, housekeeping notes. So this right here is the map.
(Speaker 1)
This is the map, okay?
(Speaker 71)
This is the map.
(Speaker 1)
Everybody see the map of where you are? Everybody see the map? Oh, yeah. That’s good. Kind of one of those you -are -here maps. And if you look at .15, guys, or .16, If you’re a man there, that’s where you can go pee in the woods if you want.
(Speaker 1)
That’s destination number 16. We don’t have one for the women that’s outside.
(Speaker 30)
I’m sorry, but there you go.
(Speaker 1)
But you might run into Secret Service out there because they’re everywhere right now. So you might run into a Secret Service while peeing in the woods. That could be a great rendezvous, a great way to meet Secret Service. So there you go. But this is a map. For your business, you need to have…
(Speaker 1)
How many of you own a restaurant or a business of some kind where people see you face -to -face? Face -to -face? Anybody face -to -face? You need to have something where it strikes a balance. you know so you’re meeting with the customer here’s what we do this is a one -sheet or maybe this is a history who’s been to a restaurant where they have a history of the restaurant on the table yeah you want to have something you so Steve when you meet with people when you do closings when you go to close the loans what are the documents you typically want to have ready to close alone well we do everything electronically now so they just sign but it’s basic stuff like verifying your social and birthday and a handful of documents you need to have at the close, whether they’re being virtual or real. I mean there’s like a SSA form verifying your social security number, a 1003 which is the loan application, there’s a closing disclosure, there’s a 4506T so I can get copies of your tax returns from the IRS just in case you lied and gave me fake ones.
(Speaker 1)
No one would do that. All I’m saying is he’s rattling that off. But most of the mortgage professionals that I work with when I first start with them, they don’t have their documents organized and closing with them is painful.
(Speaker 37)
So you got to have those in place.
(Speaker 70)
That’s a big, that’s a big thing.
(Speaker 1)
Pastor Jackson, for first time members who come to your church, Sheridan . Church, what do you give to all the first time members? Margaritas. Oh, yeah. We did buy a nightclub and turn it into a church, but we don’t give them margaritas. Every visitor who comes, one of the ways that we try to capture them on their first visit is I’ll get up and announce that after the service, I’d like to personally meet with them in my office, and then I give them a free book that I have written.
(Speaker 1)
And so it helps keep them from disappearing immediately after the service, so I can’t make contact with them. And then inside the office, whenever they come back, we collect all their information, so we can follow up with them, and it’s been a very good formula. And again, as an organization, I’m not trying to sell you something, but I am telling you the problems that we solve. For a lot of our clients, we help them write books. That’s what we do. So we do books and typeset books.
(Speaker 1)
and book covers and there’s a lot of stuff that we do. But you need to have something tangible, okay? So if you’re taking notes on page zero, what do you need? You need to have a one sheet for your business. This is a marketing tool, okay? This is assuming you’re in front of a customer.
(Speaker 1)
We’ll talk about how to get customers in a minute. But once you’re in front, you’ve got to have a one sheet, okay? That you’ve got to have some kind of tangible thing. If you’re a jeweler, there was a jeweler I worked with for years. He didn’t have anything tangible. We gave him some tangible documents about how jewelry works, and cut, and clarity, and quality, and it really helped him have better conversations, okay?
(Speaker 1)
So you gotta have that, okay? And this is a map, by the way, for those of you who are coming to my office, to my house, this is how to get to my house, okay? So there it is, okay. Now, and by the way, the helicopter rides, we’re doing helicopter rides tonight. This is where the helicopters will be taken off to, right there. So the helicopter rides will be there.
(Speaker 1)
So I think I see J . T. Lawson.
(Speaker 15)
J .
(Speaker 1)
T.
(Speaker 32)
Lawson, you here?
(Speaker 1)
Let’s bring up JT Lawson with Make Your Dog Epic.
(Speaker 15)
JT Lawson, let’s hear it for JT.
(Speaker 4)
He’s coming up to join us. Yes, JT. All right, JT, we’re talking about marketing. Nice. And you have a big booth at the State Fair right now? Yes, we do.
(Speaker 4)
Talk to us about the booth. So basically the goal is that no one can walk by and let’s not talk to them. So I don’t know if you guys know it’s something that people used to do when I was in high school but it’s called the buckle challenge. So at the mall there’s a store called buckle and the goal when we were in high school because you had nothing better to do was to walk from the front of the store to the back of the store and then back and not have one employee talk to you. And you did it because it’s impossible. because they will swarm you.
(Speaker 4)
They see somebody come in and say, hey, can I help you? What do you need? Do you want jeans? What do you need? And that’s kind of how our booth is, is we have dogs there. We have a big booth, and we’re doing tricks with dogs.
(Speaker 4)
But the goal is no one can walk by without one of us talking to them. So rules, I don’t put chairs at our booth.
(Speaker 1)
That way, people can’t sit down. So a lot of vendors, they hide behind a table, and they sit there, and they text all day. We don’t have that opportunity because there’s no chairs. And then all of our tables are to the back, and we’re approaching them. the dogs are all placed out front and then we’re doing tricks with them and stuff. So we have dogs jump on fire hydrants and do tricks.
(Speaker 1)
Marketing folks, if you go to page 123, page 123 in your book, marketing. What you need to do is you need to figure out how are you going to get in front of your ideal and likely buyers. Because how many of you have ever watched like an entrepreneurial podcast and the guest on the show is talking about life balance or the importance of giving back. Have you seen these interviews? and the CEOs talking about giving back and life balance and self -actualization and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and buying Bitcoin and the future of money. Have you seen these podcasts?
(Speaker 1)
Meanwhile, you’re going, how do they sell anything to anyone ever? That’s what I want to know. That’s what I’m talking about. So if you go to page 123, you can see many of the most popular and effective forms of marketing. And I encourage you to circle three. Choose three.
(Speaker 1)
Going back to JT.
(Speaker 4)
JT, make your dog epic. There’s three ways to make your dog epic. There’s a lot of ways that you reach people, but one is you’re getting in front of veterinarians, getting in front of people in the dog space that can refer you. Two, you got the trade shows. And then three, you got search engine optimization. Why can’t you just be all search engine or all trade shows or all referrals?
(Speaker 1)
Well, because if one of them stops and you only have one, then you fail. So we went through, from personal experiences, we’ve had Google Maps just taken down. And then if that was our only source of lead, then we have nothing.
(Speaker 15)
So it goes from a lot to literally nothing overnight. And you’ve planned on a lot. So if you only have one way of people finding you, well, if that way fails, or if there’s no trade shows in that season of the year, well, then you can’t get leads then. 90 miles an hour, going to use Josh Perl.
(Speaker 1)
Again, he works in the accounting space, bookkeeping space. How often do entrepreneurs throw money at marketing that doesn’t work? All the time. Yeah, when we see the ledger of the things that they’re spending marketing on. like how many people are still buying that Yellow Pages ad that you talked about, Clay? People are still buying it today in 2025, and it’s insane.
(Speaker 1)
I hear a lot of people say, well, I’m getting my name out there. Well, I’m not talking about that. I’m trying to generate leads, okay? So marketing, if you’re taking notes here, I encourage you to write this down. Marketing is defined by me, page 123. Marketing is getting in front of your ideal and likely buyers in a way that produces sales.
(Speaker 10)
Marketing is getting in front of your ideal and likely buyers in a way that produces sales, okay? Not just getting your name out there, okay?
(Speaker 52)
So, I want to go to you, Steve Currington.
(Speaker 1)
You sell mortgages, this just in. You’re not the only person to sell mortgages. Who are your ideal and likely buyers? Any human with a credit score and a job, I guess. And we get a lot of them through Yellow Pages because we are AAA mortgage and that’s how they find us. That’s good.
(Speaker 4)
That’s a reverse pro tip from Steve Currington. JT, I’m going to ask you back to your business and we’ll go to Saul here. You know, again, your dog training business, who are your ideal and likely buyers? Do you see any commonalities, any patterns? Is it primarily men, women, old people, young people? Who is hiring you to train their dog?
(Speaker 4)
People with dogs. Well, the nice thing is half of Americans own dogs. And in most of the homes where they own dogs, they have more than one. But of the people who actually reach out, it’s typically, like, 30 to 60 -year -old women, just that age. Because the dads very much, most of the time, like, hey, dude, just do whatever you want with the dog.
(Speaker 1)
I just want to coexist with it. True. I just don’t like it chewing up my shoes or boots or… We’ve had dogs who they’ve chewed up.
(Speaker 4)
These people kept…
(Speaker 10)
Shoe box of money.
(Speaker 69)
They had like 15 grand of cash and the dog chewed it all up So they’re like, yeah, what’s paying three grand to train the dog when it already cost us 15 grand?
(Speaker 10)
Is it 70 % women that call?
(Speaker 38)
Is it 10 %?
(Speaker 68)
50 %?
(Speaker 1)
Do you have some sort of number you see? Yeah, it’s probably between 50 % to 70 % women.
(Speaker 16)
Because the men are like, just shoot it if it doesn’t mind. Just run.
(Speaker 5)
Go get another one.
(Speaker 38)
That was a bad one.
(Speaker 1)
We can get another one.
(Speaker 4)
Second rebuke of the day.
(Speaker 1)
Don’t put your dog down. Go to Make Your Dog Epic. Back to you. No, you don’t put him down. You just send him where he can live on a farm and run and play. Back to you, JT.
(Speaker 1)
So this is called a workflow. This is a workflow that JT has refined and refined. Everyone should have a copy of this. This is called a workflow. I’m gonna go back to the workflow a lot over this weekend over this week. I encourage everybody.
(Speaker 1)
If you get a chance, go to makeyourdogepic . com.
(Speaker 65)
That’s the website I would go to because JT is perhaps one of the most diligent executors of these systems that I’ve met.
(Speaker 67)
JT is very similar to Charles Kola and Amber Kola.
(Speaker 1)
It just knocks everything out.
(Speaker 65)
And so a workflow is like a blueprint for building a house.
(Speaker 1)
It’s like a recipe for food.
(Speaker 65)
And so, Saul, I wanna go to you real quick.
(Speaker 26)
With your restaurant, you have six locations now.
(Speaker 1)
What states are you in? What states are you in? Louisiana, Mississippi. What if you didn’t have a recipe that you used for, you know, someone orders a burrito, someone else orders tacos, someone else, and what if you didn’t have a recipe that you required your staff to use? I don’t make it. What would happen if you didn’t have recipes?
(Speaker 1)
Well, I don’t have consistency, and then they’re trying to make it different from one location to another location, and I mean, I lost the customers. You have to have consistency on everything you do in life. And for some reason, and this is what I’ve seen as a pattern, I don’t understand it, but for some reason, people, we all say we know we need a blueprint for building a house. We know we need a recipe for a restaurant. But for some reason, we don’t have systems for our business.
(Speaker 1)
I don’t understand it. We need to follow a proven system. So this is the proven system. It’s all documented.
(Speaker 40)
It’s all documented.
(Speaker 1)
And we’re going to bring up JT a little bit to talk about this some more. But I want to make sure we’re getting this workflow.
(Speaker 11)
Ultimately, when you get to the end of the conference, you want to build a workflow.
(Speaker 1)
And a workflow is a documentation of how you grow your business. On the back of the workflow, this is sort of like the generic blueprint for the workflow, okay? So these are things you want to build this for your business. Pastor Jackson, what happens if you have a pastor that doesn’t use the Bible as their exclusive source to find the Word of God, and they kind of go, you know, I like that part, I don’t like that part, you know, what happens? You get a TED Talk.
(Speaker 4)
I find that this happens a lot where people are going to a church now, where the pastors are primarily talking about an experience. You know, like, well, I went to the mall, and then this happened, and then I figured out, you know, we just all should open the door for people, you know? Yeah. And if you get enough fog and enough loud music, it makes sense. If the skinny jeans are just tight enough, the pastor makes sense. If he’s in shape, and he’s running around, and he’s bouncing around, then all of a sudden, you’re like, wow, it seems.
(Speaker 4)
But all the time, they start to say crazy stuff. and so you want to have that the book that he’s going back to is the bible and therefore you know okay this is like the well he’s going back to you make sense so what are a lot of pastors i see a lot of mega pastors now that are not using the bible or they actually are telling their i’m seeing pastors that are actually telling their associate pastors not to quote the bible are you hearing this yeah that’s actually a common thing because they want to be relevant and they think the bible uh or the name bible or scripture is kind of like archaic and religious and so The thought among many is to. paraphrase what the Bible says without quoting what the Bible says, which is kind of like a oxymoron. Now, JT, I want to get your thoughts on this. Again, this is a workflow, and every part of this workflow is important. And what if you were to execute all the marketing steps here on the left of this workflow, but you were to not follow sales scripts and record the calls?
(Speaker 4)
Or let’s just say that you decided to get rid of the first lesson’s 50 cents. What if you decided to make the first lesson $1 ,000? What would happen if you change just the first lesson, you got rid of the 50 cent offer, and you said, it’s going to be $1 ,000 up front. Or if you just change just that, or you just let the callers not follow the scripts, what would happen to the whole thing if you got rid of parts of this? part is intricate. And so you have to think about when somebody comes to your business, what are all the touch points?
(Speaker 4)
So they first hear about you, how then when they hear about you, they go to your website and then what are they seeing?
(Speaker 24)
And then once they call, who are they talking to?
(Speaker 4)
What are they saying? And then after that, it just keeps going.
(Speaker 1)
You just have to walk all the way through the business.
(Speaker 4)
And so if we charge a thousand bucks for the first lesson, well, now it’s a brainer and not a no brainer. So clay, we’ll talk about it more, but a no brainer, but you could be the best doctor in the world and if nobody knows about you it doesn’t matter so that’s why the fifty -cent lesson so important because then they can try it before they buy it and they can make sure that what you’re doing is great now we come back it is what you have to look this up by jt people to see you and your dog yankee stadium how do they find that uh… you can go to instagram or uh…
(Speaker 1)
Tick tock.
(Speaker 52)
I know it’s Chinese spyware, but um, those aren’t tvs.
(Speaker 1)
It’s okay. Yeah, they’re watching you. Um, but chief the bat dog is where we post a lot of content of us at yankee stadium and stuff and you’re the official dog.
(Speaker 46)
You provide the official dog for the savannah bananas.
(Speaker 25)
Yeah.
(Speaker 3)
So the savannah bananas, they asked me to train a bat dog for the team called the firefighters.
(Speaker 66)
So we were just at Yankee Stadium and Chief was going to grab the bats and bring it back and stuff.
(Speaker 1)
Can you coordinate with Sean so when we come back from the break we could play a clip? Yeah. That cool?
(Speaker 49)
And then Josh Sperl, where’s your website if you want to learn more about you?
(Speaker 1)
Is it still sperlinternational . brianadams . com? I don’t think so. Okay.
(Speaker 38)
But Sparrow International?
(Speaker 1)
Sparrow International .
(Speaker 65)
com.
(Speaker 53)
I’m saying, the reason why I repeat these things is people will come to me day two and they go, what was the guy’s website?
(Speaker 49)
You know, the guy from Canada. I liked him more than you and I didn’t even know his website.
(Speaker 62)
So there it is.
(Speaker 64)
So I think, okay.
(Speaker 1)
And Saul, if people want to verify you’re real, I mean, I do bring you up here because you have a sexy voice. Yes, yes. But beyond that, you actually have a real, I mean, people think, is he just a male model? Are you just bringing him up here because you’re attracted to him? Kind of. But anyway, so Saul, what’s your website?
(Speaker 1)
What’s your website? Tortillasoup . com. Tortillasoup . com. Yeah.
(Speaker 1)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Jackson Laumeyer . com church is Sheridan . church. And just a little context, Pastor Jackson is on the faith council for President Trump. So President Trump gets together with, I don’t know how many pastors, there are 50 of you, 400 of you, 10 of you, what do you got, seven of you? 20 and he’s the youngest guy in the group and you know he’s aware of the book of daniel and the book of revelation and so you’re you know he’s in there going in trying to share the gospel so that’s pastor jackson you can learn more about him share it in that church um and then you got so these are real people okay and we’re bringing them out of their real professions to be here to impart knowledge to you so i’ll make sure you know that they’re here but i’m going to go and have you guys peace out i’m going to bring up another couple here real quick here uh this next and then we’ll bring you guys back so i’ll bring you back in like 45 minutes uh this next one is
(Speaker 1)
they’re a power couple, a power couple. They’re here to pump it up, yeah. They take lots of protein. They’re on steroids. But anyway, so Bronson, he primarily is powered by his beard. He has a beard, and that’s where he drives his power and success.
(Speaker 1)
And he’s a very, very successful insurance agent. So he and his wife, he’s built a very successful insurance agency. And then his wife has a very successful real estate business. And then because Bronson is competitive, we were talking one day and he’s like, someday I’m going to have more kids than you.
(Speaker 63)
You only have five.
(Speaker 1)
I will have seven. And so he has seven kids in my face. So Bronson and his wonderful wife here. Let’s hear it for the Schubert family. Come on up here, Schuberts. Ashley and Bronson.
(Speaker 1)
Yes. I’m going to get you guys on these mics real quick. We’ll get you all kind of warmed up here. Good to see you, sir.
(Speaker 37)
Good to see you, ma ‘am.
(Speaker 38)
There you go.
(Speaker 2)
And so these guys, I want to just kind of make sure you get this idea. They have seven kids. If you’re taking notes somewhere on page zero, seven kids, two businesses. They have a ranch. They have a podcast. And why I really like them both, I talked to Bronson more so than I talked to his wonderful wife, but it’s this.
(Speaker 2)
They are very intentional about raising their kids in a world of just perverse chaos you know we’re like i don’t know if you feel like you’re going to mad max now when you go to walmart you feel like you’re watching mad max when you go to walmart you ever try to go to the customer service center you feel like you’re watching mad max or something we’re in a world where there’s a lot of craziness going on and they’re very intentional about raising their kids they’re very intentional about their businesses and they’re they’re really checking those boxes they’re people of faith And I asked him if you guys could travel here from Oklahoma City to come share with us maybe 15, 20 minutes about how you pack it all in during your day. And Bronson can tell you how he tricked his wife into marrying him. And there’s just so much to learn here. So let’s hear it for the Schubert’s, everybody. Yeah. I’ll come back.
(Speaker 2)
Clay. So Clay’s wrong on one thing. You said we have two businesses.
(Speaker 5)
I think we’re up to 11 now. So I think we have 11 LLCs. We do have seven children and we like to say we’re not Mormon. We’re not Catholic. Um, we, uh, I’ve had that birth them all. They’ve all been singles and we have, uh, our oldest is 12 down to 10 months.
(Speaker 5)
So we have one girl and six boys.
(Speaker 2)
God just keeps giving us boys. We’re growing the kingdom. So that’s where we are. We wanted to talk to you guys today because it’s not about us. It’s about you and how we can help you. And so we wanna know, do you guys, are you interested in having an intentional life with a great family, a successful business, and a life that you actually enjoy?
(Speaker 2)
And to do that, you don’t have to live like the way that the world lives or wants you to live. And I think for most people, that’s probably one of the hardest parts because you get pushback like in every area of your life. And so I think what kind of makes us unique is we have several businesses that are winning and we also have several kids. And most people say you can’t really do both at the same time. you kind of have to sacrifice one for the other.
(Speaker 5)
So hopefully today we can share with you guys some insights on our life and what we do to help us win on all fronts, you know, business, faith, family, and the kids.
(Speaker 2)
So that’s kind of our point of today’s message. I think that a big thing for us is we strongly believe that God gave us work as a good thing. And so many people look at work as like something you have to do and an obligation.
(Speaker 5)
But the truth of it is, is that God gave Adam and Eve work in the Garden of Eden before the fall. So work is a good thing. And I know all of you guys agree with that because you’re here and you want to grow your businesses. So you believe in the power of work. Also, God gave us children as a blessing.
(Speaker 5)
In Genesis, God said, be fruitful and multiply. We have done that. We have done our mission. We take that literally. He also says that children are a heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb, a reward.
(Speaker 2)
So we also believe in that we see children as a blessing and not a burden. And the world oftentimes, especially today, sees it as the opposite. The world does.
(Speaker 5)
It’s like, you know, I want to be done having kids. So when I’m 45 I can just live the rest of my life and do whatever I want to do Or I’m gonna go work at the office all week long and then my kids are gonna grow up and they’re not gonna know who I am you know and that’s the part that you have to learn to balance and be intentional with is Because I think a lot of business people talk about the grind and they talk about the sacrifice and you do have to do all those things But you can do it while raising a family and while keeping your marriage together for me. There would be no bigger failure than to grow my business and then lose my family. That would be completely pointless. And I think we all know a lot of successful people later on in life, maybe in their 50s or whatever, and they’re getting divorced and their family fell apart, but they got a pile of money. For us, that’s never been the goal ever.
(Speaker 5)
Our goal has been to have a successful marriage, raise successful kids, and do successful businesses. But the point of that is to fund the business and be able to do what we want to do and have financial freedom. So we have to do it all at the same time. A huge part for us is being intentional with our lives, because as we know, if we’re not intentional, life just happens. And then you look up and you’re like, well, where did that all that time go?
(Speaker 5)
So it’s really about being intentional with the time we have, the time God’s given us, and how can we make that the best it can be. Yeah, so let’s give some practical examples of like intentionality and maybe help you guys. So when you have like 11 different companies and seven kids, you have to be super organized. So one way that we’re intentional is we have a calendar that we share or we invite each other into events. The other is we have a very strict weekly cadence. If you were to follow our lives, you would see that every week it looks very similar to the week prior.
(Speaker 5)
Our important items that are important to our family and our businesses get done at the same time, the same day, every week.
(Speaker 2)
One of the examples is going to be on Sunday mornings, you will find us at church. You will not find us at a ball field, right? On Mondays, you will find us working in our companies and going through the weekly to -do list, delegating certain things. We have a fantastic team around us. We don’t do it by ourselves. and getting the business going for that week.
(Speaker 2)
On Wednesday nights, you will find our family at church. You’ll be in a Bible study, and the kids will be at their class. And in our companies, like every Tuesday, you’ll see me running a group interview of interviewing candidates. I’ll have the same meeting format -wise in all the companies every single week. So while sometimes I think it can look boring from the outside, Clay gives a good one -liner that is, successful people bore down. and and a lot of people suffer from boredom and they’re always kind of running around with their hair on fire looking for the next best thing we’ve both been on our fields for 15 years now I’ve been 13 13 and I’m 15 I think and so it’s also hard to be successful if you don’t pick a certain field and stick with it We weren’t successful for several years, but we knew we would be.
(Speaker 2)
But we stayed committed and bored down and constantly learned and was able to achieve that. We have a podcast now, and I’m going to shamelessly plug that because we’ve had two episodes now. So we would love for you to listen to the Y ‘all Are Crazy podcast. It is produced by Clay and his team. So on that, we share a lot of practical tips about we have a ranch, as you can see. So we live on our ranch, cattle, sheep, goats, all that in the country.
(Speaker 2)
And so we share a lot of practical tips about raising a family, running a business, doing it simultaneously. And we tackle a lot of these kinds of issues. Something else that we are really big on is teaching our kids the importance of money. money, the importance of time, and coaching them through everyday struggles, things they’re going through. One thing we’ve been working on with our 12 -year -old daughter, if you have a preteen in the room, this is another level. Things change when they hit 12.
(Speaker 2)
And so something we’ve been working on this week is positivity. So it seems like everything that comes out is just like negative. And I’m like, you were not raised this way. Why are you speaking negatively? So we’ve been working on, OK, if you say a negative, you have to turn it around to a positive. And sometimes these things are tiny.
(Speaker 2)
The other day, I was like, well, I heard the junior high boys lost their game again. She said, yeah, but they scored their first touchdown of the year. And we’re like, well, amen. That is a positive. And yesterday, I said, you know how it’s been raining just off and on crazy lately? I went on a walk.
(Speaker 2)
I got to do one lap. I got back, and it starts pouring. And I walked in the house. I was like, well, I didn’t even get to finish my walk. She said, well, mom, at least you weren’t at the mailbox when it started raining. Praise the Lord, that is true.
(Speaker 2)
So coaching, and it’s not easy.
(Speaker 5)
Sometimes I wanna pound my head against a wall, because I’m like, why?
(Speaker 62)
But just coaching your kids through the daily, and it would be so much easier to just turn my head and be like, whatever, just do whatever you want.
(Speaker 2)
But just coaching them through the daily, they’re gonna pick up on these things. One of our sons, we talk about, our boys are really, all of our kids are very athletic. Our main sport is wrestling. We have any wrestling fans in here that is our favorite sport. We love it and our boys are very good at it. During the summer ours one of our sons got the chance to participate in.
(Speaker 2)
a team camp. And he really wanted to go. We wanted him to go. But he finds out it’s going to actually be during VBS. And he loves VBS. Vacation Bible School.
(Speaker 2)
Yes. And we said, it’s OK. You can miss VBS for the team camp. It’s going to be good for you. He said, I can’t do it. He said, I need to be at VBS more than I need to wrestle.
(Speaker 2)
For an 11 -year -old, that’s pretty impressive. Same son had a wrestling camp Friday, Saturday, Sunday. We’re like, OK, you can miss church.
(Speaker 5)
It’s OK. It’s Friday, Saturday, Sunday. He said, I need to be at church on Sunday. God will reward me, and I’ll be a better wrestler if I’m obedient to God. So things like that, it’s not that we’re preaching at them. It’s that they’re seeing what mom and dad value is most important, and they want to emulate that.
(Speaker 5)
That’s our goal. Sometimes we look at each other and we’re like, are we doing this right? It gets harder when they get older. When they’re babies, you’re like, I could write a book on babies. I actually do have a book on raising a business and babies. But when they become preteens, now we need a book.
(Speaker 2)
So if anybody has a book on raising preteens and teenagers, we’ll read your book. Yeah, and through those examples, we’re teaching our kids how to live intentionally. And so the world will push you in all sorts of directions. And we would give you some advice to figure out what does that intentional life look like for you. I know Clay’s going to talk to you about writing out your goals and what that looks like. I would encourage you to figure out what your goals are.
(Speaker 2)
Yours might not be to have seven kids and a bunch of businesses and all that kind of stuff. But whatever that is for you, you have to figure it out together as a married couple and then go forward with that.
(Speaker 1)
But know when you go forward, you’re going to get pushed back all the time. And so those coaches don’t like it when our kids don’t show up or don’t come to those things. Now, we set those expectations ahead of time. But in those moments, you know, We’re having to coach our kids about what’s the priority here.
(Speaker 62)
And teaching them how to deal with the adversity of the world wanting to pull them around in different directions.
(Speaker 1)
So important to be intentional. And I want to give women in here just permission that you can do both. You can do both well. You can raise your kids.
(Speaker 5)
You can have a business. You can succeed at both. God’s going to have to help you along the way. But you can do it and you can make your own choices and be strong. I’ve got a lot of questions for you and if you guys have questions too, feel free to ask. But I want to give you some context.
(Speaker 1)
Bronson, your business, you sell insurance. And you have a call center.
(Speaker 2)
Yes.
(Speaker 1)
Can you maybe explain to everybody what that looks like? Because you have a big team. And I know, Ashley, you have a big team, too. Can you kind of explain to your team how that’s structured? Yeah, so I’ve got two office locations. And we’ve got about 20 employees.
(Speaker 1)
And they make a lot of calls a day. Very similar energy to here. You walk in, and there’s music playing, and there’s They’re standing up next to each other and people are just high -fiving, hitting gongs, clapping, selling policies. It’s great. And you, Ashley, you’ve got a big team, real estate team. How many folks run your team approximately?
(Speaker 1)
I have 18 agents and three staff. 18 agents and three staff, okay. So just to give you some context there.
(Speaker 5)
So question I have, number one, a lot of my clients will say to me, and I encourage everyone to just jot this down, this is good stuff for page zero, okay. They’ll fight me on the idea of having a to -do list. I’m just going to start there. We’ll kind of get into more detailed things. But the to -do list, the to -do list is what needs to get done. So today, if you have a ticket tonight for the VIP thing, we’re going to serve you a meal, OK?
(Speaker 1)
And it’s crazy, but I paid for it, or you paid for it, or I took the money from you and paid for it, or however that looks like. somebody wait wait it was paid it was purchased we had to pay for it you know and the catering company i use the same folks at every single event we do the company’s called goodies okay and they do a good job and i actually it’s crazy but the lady who will be serving you guys tonight and who kind of serves as the manager of the whole thing i used to dj with her gigs so i’ve probably DJ’d 200 gigs with this lady who’s now going to be here tonight serving food. Great lady. But if they messed up our orders or got things wrong or skipped stuff or messed us, I wouldn’t go back. And you guys are both to -do list people. So I want to go to you, Bronson, to get your thoughts.
(Speaker 1)
How important is it at a conference like this or at church or in your business where you actually take what you’re learning and you’re putting it on a to -do list and you knock it out? It’s super important. I’m big on to -do lists. We couldn’t do it without a to -do list.
(Speaker 46)
And it’s interesting you bring that up.
(Speaker 1)
successful man come to one of our churches and uh… speak and uh… we had a private room and people gather up I was the only man in the room that had a notepad and was taking notes.
(Speaker 31)
Now, Ash, I’m not saying you agree with this, but it’s a true story.
(Speaker 1)
Years ago, there was a man who was a very successful minister, very successful minister. He was one of the most successful ministers in Oklahoma at that time. His name was Bishop Carlton Pearson, you know? And he was a guy who, I hired him to teach me speaking and a lot of things, and Carlton was a big influence in my life early on. And Carlton used to talk about, Clay, there’s a disproportionate amount of financial miracles that take place amongst the note -takers. And I’m like, what?
(Speaker 1)
He’s like, I don’t know what it is. I want to get your thoughts on that.
(Speaker 2)
Because I think sometimes as Christians, we have faith. Some people here are Christians. We have faith. But we also have to do the work.
(Speaker 1)
Hebrews chapter 11, by the way. You have faith. You do the work. Hebrews chapter 11, by the way. So it’s like by faith, we have to take action. It’s faith with action.
(Speaker 1)
It’s not just to -do lists and knocking stuff out. You also have to have faith. What’s the balance for you as a woman of faith and knocking stuff out? Knocking stuff out. I love having a notebook at church and taking notes. I love having a notebook in my purse, and I take notes on my phone all the time, and I like putting that green check mark when I get things done.
(Speaker 1)
So, Hebrews 11 .1, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. There it is. I just encourage you, I encourage everybody. get, have one to -do list for your one life, okay? So my to -do list, just if you’re curious, you know, today it’s a lot of like the helicopter is gonna get here at a certain time for the VIP helicopter rides, you know, and the caterer gets here at this time, and we have secret service everywhere, and so I gotta make sure that we’re following those protocols and the whole thing, you know, and so there’s a lot of things on my to -do list that we just can’t miss a step. Make sense? So you gotta have a to -do list.
(Speaker 1)
Now, the calendar, next thing, calendar. One, you got seven kids, 11 different LLCs, you got, you know, and you got one life. And I find that couples a lot of times get into arguments, not on purpose, but it’s because his calendar and her calendar, they don’t match. And so, oh, I thought you were gonna go pick up the kid. Oh, I was gonna go pick up the kids. Oh, that’s your, and the kids will see mom and dad fight over whether, you know, you were supposed to pick them, and then the kids feel like a burden because the parents aren’t organized.
(Speaker 1)
Make sense?
(Speaker 2)
So I printed off a copy for you guys. This is my to -do list. This is my, it’s the yellow. You can see this is like a typical to -do list for me. This is what it looks like, and this is my calendar. And in my calendar, I schedule, so what gets scheduled gets done.
(Speaker 2)
What gets scheduled gets done, right? So what gets scheduled gets done.
(Speaker 1)
Now, you might say, well, that’s because you’re a podcaster. It is true that if I don’t interview people at the time I said I’m going to, it doesn’t go well. But you’ve got to have a to -do list and a calendar no matter what industry you’re in. Ashley, starting with you, calendar. How important is it for you and Bronson to literally be on the same page with your calendar? I used to have a paper calendar, but we couldn’t share that.
(Speaker 1)
So now we share a calendar. Apple Calendar, is that what it is? And we just, we share it. I invite him to things for the kids. He accepts it or his assistant accepts it.
(Speaker 61)
We’re on the same page.
(Speaker 1)
If it’s not on the calendar, it doesn’t get done. And I can’t tell you, me as a father, I am so excited about my kids’ events. Like, I love watching my kids. do things well.
(Speaker 5)
It’s fun to see it. Like my son, he’s running the audio visual up there.
(Speaker 2)
Aubrey’s up there doing all the audio. All the lights, all the sound, that’s Aubrey up there doing that.
(Speaker 5)
He’s a high school senior.
(Speaker 45)
And it’s fun to watch him do it.
(Speaker 2)
But I don’t want to miss it, you know.
(Speaker 5)
But I also, like, I can’t be at something if I don’t know about it. Right. So I have to know about it.
(Speaker 1)
So having one calendar. Bronson, how important is it to have one calendar? Seven kids, 11 entities. It’s very important, and as a husband, can I get an amen that, you know, your wife will tell you, hey, you know, we got this deal tomorrow night, and you’re like, I have no idea what you’re talking about. She’s like, I told you, and it’s like, you probably did. And you responded to me.
(Speaker 1)
A lot of times, I’m like, you looked me in the eye and said, OK. But here’s the deal. The calendar. No recollection of that. The calendar bails you out, because it’s on there, and it gives you a reminder. So it bails you out.
(Speaker 1)
You don’t have to remember. Time management. Now, the next thing, this is big. This is big. It’s what’s right here. on page zero.
(Speaker 1)
You’ve got the calendar, you’ve got the to -do list. You’ve got a calendar and a to -do list.
(Speaker 5)
But the word culture means that which you allow to grow. Someone should write that down.
(Speaker 1)
The word culture is that which you allow to grow. And the people who work for you are not going to have a calendar, and they’re not going to have a to -do list, and they’re not going to do anything unless you follow up. Point number three, calendar, to -do list, three, follow up. You have to follow up. So you guys have a ranch, and I’m sure you have great people, and I’m sure you never have to do this, but you have to say, other people have to follow up with the same person for the 17th time about the same thing. I’m sure this never happens with your staff or my staff, but I’m sure other people have this problem.
(Speaker 1)
But you have to follow up with someone and say, hey, did that get done? Did that get done? And you’ve got to follow up, and I find that if people who are adverse to following up, they can’t get the content written for the site, they can’t get the call center to make the calls, they can’t… If you don’t follow up, it just won’t happen. Talk about the follow -up process. You have to be okay with being the one that follows up and not worry about hurting feelings.
(Speaker 58)
If you don’t follow up as the business owner, the ball gets dropped, your business doesn’t do good, your family suffers, the list goes on.
(Speaker 1)
So you have to be following up and making sure, because if you don’t, it won’t. Follow up, follow up, follow up, follow up, follow up.
(Speaker 3)
So one, you have to have a to -do list, right, and a calendar.
(Speaker 1)
And three, you got to follow up. But fourth thing, he mentioned it. We hadn’t talked about it, but it’s a great word, the cadence or the rhythm. You’ve got to have things people can count on in your business. It’s like for our staff, we have an all -staff meeting at 8 .30 in the morning. So it’ll be roughly 100 people here on Monday at 8 .30 in the morning.
(Speaker 1)
And what are we talking about? We’re talking about our clients and making sure you guys are growing. That’s what we’re doing. When is it? 8 .30. What day?
(Speaker 1)
Monday. It’s not like a, we’ll see if we’re going to have one this week. It’s a rare occasion that we don’t have it. We interview all job applicants, all job applicants, every Wednesday at 5 .30.
(Speaker 5)
Every Wednesday at 5 .30.
(Speaker 1)
And there’s a cadence. Bronson, talk about why you have to have a daily huddle or a weekly time that you interview candidates. Why do you have to have those things in your calendar as a recurring rock?
(Speaker 24)
That’s, I think, one of the most successful things that we do that leads to the most results is that cadence. Every Monday morning, we’ve got a big team meeting like you have.
(Speaker 23)
We have a huddle every day around 3 o ‘clock.
(Speaker 31)
A lot of times, my team will go outside and take a walk around the building for some fresh air, and that’s a good bonding time.
(Speaker 23)
And then we have the group interview every Wednesday. For the other companies, it’s on Tuesday and Thursday. But the weekly cadence, and your team always knows what’s coming. And our kids, we talk about that, too. Our kids don’t say, hey, are we going to church on Sunday?
(Speaker 58)
I mean, they know we’re going.
(Speaker 5)
Is Danica here?
(Speaker 1)
Is Jordan here? Jordan here? Danica? Danica? Jordan? Jordan?
(Speaker 1)
Danica? Doctor?
(Speaker 2)
Doctor, are they here?
(Speaker 1)
Cornerstone fence, are they here? Danica? Jordan? Jordan? Danica? OK, maybe not.
(Speaker 1)
OK. Merit -based pay. This is big. Merit -based pay. You want to have a pay system in place where your people get paid based on what they do and not what they say they’re going to do. Very big difference, OK?
(Speaker 1)
Pay people based on what they do, not what they say they’re going to do. Merit -based pay. Ashley, in the real estate world, do you guys get a commission if what happens? If we sell a property and get it to the closing table. That’s interesting. But I think that the real estate industry primarily, and I’m not attacking you or the real estate industry, I’m just saying this.
(Speaker 2)
In Tulsa, I believe there’s about 4 ,000 people with real estate licenses running around.
(Speaker 35)
And I have no idea how many insurance agents there are, but I think everybody has an insurance license.
(Speaker 2)
If you graduate from a university, you get an insurance license. Most people have one. right and then i mean there’s so many insurance agents and real estate agents and then what happens is we get the business card i’ll walk you through the process of becoming an agent this is what you shouldn’t do but this is what they do we’re going to get a business card i’m going to get some head shots but i got to lose some weight first i’m working out working losing weight to drop 10 going to photoshop that use some ai on that slap that thing around look 20 years younger now i’m a real estate agent now i’m a real estate agent
(Speaker 1)
agent. I got that part. Now I’m gonna get one more, and I don’t like my headshot. I’m gonna redo the headshot, Bronson. I gotta redo the headshot, don’t like the headshot. Ashley, can we redo the headshot?
(Speaker 1)
You know, I wanna redo the headshot. More headshots, more business cards. I wanna change the logo. The logo, if I could just, the logo, if it was bigger, because the problem is it’s small. If it was bigger, I want my tree to have a feeling, but it’d be an animal, but not too pervasive, but kind of patriotic, but oddly… You gotta get to work.
(Speaker 1)
Right. You gotta get to work. You can’t worry about the headshots and the details. You actually have to get in the grind. Get in the grind. So again, let’s talk about these things, making sure we’re getting together.
(Speaker 1)
To do what? Gotta have a calendar. Gotta have follow -up. You have to have a cadence for your organization. You have to have a rhythm. You have to have a rhythm.
(Speaker 1)
You have to have, this is when we’re, so for me, I always have my Monday morning meeting, because, just to pretend this is real, that’s when I want to be done being pissed off. So I got to be pissed off and then be done being pissed off by 10 on Monday. Because Monday, we have great people that work here, but there’s usually two people per Monday that, well, this is a new thing. Who has employees? Who has more than 50 employees? Who has more than 100?
(Speaker 60)
Okay, so we’re alone in this conversation, but this is what happens.
(Speaker 1)
They will text me and they’ll say, I think I’m having a mental breakdown. Which causes me to want to cause another immediate mental breakdown for them to experience. I think I’m having a breakdown. How many of you have employees that this happens? And they always have car problems. I can’t have one.
(Speaker 1)
I’ve been self -employed since I was, what, 14 years old? And I can’t have a car. I don’t have sick days. But they always have a sick day. Usually they just rotate. It’s like, ah, I got the sniffles.
(Speaker 2)
Super physically fit people with lower back problems, always on Mondays. Have you seen this? Do you see this? Yes all the time.
(Speaker 1)
Yeah and so I’m just telling you so Monday I like to schedule Monday because Monday it’s like okay let’s have that meeting let’s figure out who’s on a call. who needs to be replaced, who’s doing a good job, how it’s going, Monday. So I like to have my, I don’t want to have my Monday meeting on Friday, you know why? Because I want to have a great Friday. I want to be pissed on Monday. That’s the day I want to be pissed.
(Speaker 1)
Bronson, maybe you have a different, when you do the interview, there’s a certain mindset you have when you’re interviewing job candidates. Why do you have to have it at the same time every week, and why can’t you just move it around? You have to control your calendar, and so we’ll have, We do our interviews on Wednesdays at five, and a lot of people, can I interview Wednesday or Tuesday at 11 or this or that? And it’s always just a no. We have the same time slot, so I can control my calendar. Ashley, if your family’s cadence, if you start saying, guys, we might go to church this Sunday, maybe next Sunday, we’re gonna maybe try Saturday night, we’re going Friday night, what happens if you don’t have that cadence or that rhythm for the family?
(Speaker 1)
Then they don’t know what to expect, which causes, if you have the choice whether to sleep in or not, you’re always gonna take the easy route. Something we didn’t say that we wanted to say is just because something’s hard doesn’t mean it’s bad. Just because it’s hard to do things doesn’t mean they’re bad things. It just means they’re hard. Got to have it, and I’m telling you, by default, nobody has a to -do list.
(Speaker 12)
Everybody’s running around with like an app, monday .
(Speaker 59)
com slash their Gmail.
(Speaker 47)
Some people work out of their email.
(Speaker 1)
Some people are working out of a to -do list, Post -it notes. I don’t know, I just see wreckage from people not having a to -do list. Second, you got to have a calendar. One calendar, one life, got to have it. Third, you got to follow up. You got to follow up.
(Speaker 1)
There’s somebody out here you’re not following up. So let me just role play how to follow up goes. When I have my team, we cut hair. And when we cut hair, I want to cut hair well, right? So JT, I’m going to bring you up here because JT and I have the same mindset on this. JT trains dogs, by the way.
(Speaker 1)
Let’s hear it for JT. He’s coming back. JT.
(Speaker 58)
Okay.
(Speaker 9)
So, I want you to leave with an excellent haircut.
(Speaker 58)
You know, if you come in…
(Speaker 9)
Keith, where’s Keith at?
(Speaker 1)
Is Keith here?
(Speaker 9)
Art, there he is, Keith.
(Speaker 12)
Keith, can you come up here real quick?
(Speaker 9)
Keith, can you come up here real quick?
(Speaker 54)
Let’s hear it for Keith.
(Speaker 1)
Yeah, Keith! Keith runs a restaurant called Crawdaddy’s in Visalia, California.
(Speaker 4)
He’s a beautiful man.
(Speaker 1)
His wife’s the best. He plays musical instruments. He’ll be jamming out today. Keith, you got your hair cut yesterday at Elephant in the Room. Was it okay? How’s my hair look?
(Speaker 4)
Was it okay? Yeah, it was wonderful. Do you like it? By the way, I want to give a shout out to Robert, who runs the Elephant in the Room. He did a good job? He did a great job.
(Speaker 4)
Okay, okay. I’m going to keep you up here for a minute. So, crazy idea, but JT, you want people, when they pay you to train their dog, you want their dog to be trained. Correct, yes. So where’s the gap in that? Because I know that you have a high standard, you have great people that work for you.
(Speaker 4)
But certain people, when they’re training or shadowing, they’re not going to work out.
(Speaker 1)
And it’s because you’re following up to a certain standard. And in our world, people perceive that to be mean. Can you talk about just the importance of following up?
(Speaker 2)
Yeah, so with us, whenever somebody comes on, at first they shadow. So we do the interview, then they shadow. But then I tell them, you’re signing on to be micromanaged, super micromanaged for about a month.
(Speaker 1)
or a little longer. And then if they can handle it great, if they can’t, then you just won’t work out because I need you to be able to train dogs at a high level. And the only way to be able to do that and the quickest way is for you to learn as we go, but for us to micromanage you and teach you how to do it. And then after that, once they’re able to train dogs by themselves, I still follow up. So what all my trainers have to do is once the lessons are done, they put me and the client in a group chat and they say, hey, Mrs. Jones is done with their lessons with Fluffy. They’re ready for their final call to make sure lessons went awesome and incredible.
(Speaker 1)
And so then I call the client. So there’s no hiding. There’s no like the trainer can train over here and do a bad job and then say, find out about it I’m constantly following up and then we have the morning meeting every day where I’m asking how did the lessons go yesterday what lessons do we have today and he’s just constant follow -up, follow -up, follow -up, or else people will start to drift. So, Ashley, with your business, you’re a real estate agent, so you have a certain methodology with which you want to sell houses.
(Speaker 9)
How important is it following up with new agents that maybe come from a different culture, and they maybe aren’t doing it exactly to the standard? How important is that just relentless follow -up? I love agents who come from a different culture. I actually prefer that because it makes my culture look so much better. So that’s actually what I love, but you have to set expectations, and then you have to follow up with them to see how it’s going and how can you get better. Keith, back to you.
(Speaker 9)
Visalia, you got a restaurant called Crawdaddy’s, true story.
(Speaker 1)
Devin Nunez, how many of you know who Devin Nunez is? Devin Nunez, he’s the CEO of Truth Social. Devin Nunez says, Clay, if you and General Flynn are taking the reawakened to Visalia, California, we were at the Tulare Agricultural Center, he said, you gotta go to Crawdaddy’s, this restaurant, and I’m going, Okay, what is it? He goes, it’s the best food. JT, you were with us there. And lobster and steak and the whole deal.
(Speaker 1)
It’s high quality stuff. Can you talk about holding people accountable, your chefs, your staff, to creating that level of excellence? I mean, how important is follow -up at your restaurant? Consistency is everything, right?
(Speaker 4)
I mean, if you have a steak today, it better taste the same tomorrow and the week after and the year after, as a matter of fact.
(Speaker 1)
You know, I think there’s only so much one individual can do. The main thing is to surround yourself with top quality people.
(Speaker 57)
That’s a key.
(Speaker 1)
Sam Walton didn’t do it on his own. He had a lot of great people. Which going back to Bronson, Bronson, if you stopped interviewing candidates, like right now you have a great staff. We’ve talked about this a lot.
(Speaker 46)
You have a great team. You love your team.
(Speaker 56)
Bronson’s always talking about he has a great team.
(Speaker 1)
But why can’t you ever stop interviewing people? interviewing people every single week, even though you already are fully staffed? Because on Monday morning, you’ll have that person with car trouble. And then if you’re not fully staffed, you will be, and it wrecks the whole rest of your team for the Monday. Six months ago, after our Monday morning meeting, I watched a guy have a divorce right there. True story.
(Speaker 1)
He’s right there in the threshold.
(Speaker 4)
And how many of you have heard people fighting on the phone, but they’re trying to be quiet, fighting? Have you seen this? And so he’s like, no, no, no, I’m at work. And all of a sudden he’s like, fine, I want a divorce.
(Speaker 12)
I’m like, that just happened.
(Speaker 4)
That’s a first for our meeting. That’s a first. We should put that in a book. That’s exciting. But you know, but once you have like a divorce publicly in your office, it’s kind of weird. And then he never came back.
(Speaker 4)
That was the end of the haircutting career, you know? And I wasn’t planning on that happening, but if I’m not recruiting people every week, I’m going to be in a bad spot. So, back to you, JT, I want to get your thoughts on this. Dog trainers, even though you’re fully staffed, you have a great team that trains dogs, you’re never done recruiting.
(Speaker 1)
Why can’t you ever stop that cadence of always recruiting? Because then, it’s the same way as we train dogs. We train proactively, not reactively. So hiring proactively, not reactively. Because what most people do is they don’t start hiring process or don’t post an ad on Indeed or anything like that until they need somebody. I’ll repeat that again.
(Speaker 1)
We train proactively, not reactively. Same with hiring.
(Speaker 9)
We hire proactively, not reactively. Because what most people do is they wait until the employee quits or gets hurt or gets fired. to post an ad on Indeed in the start of the hiring process. But now you need somebody fast, so now you hire the first person that can breathe. And so now, you’re stuck with them. Because now that you’ve been hiring, you can’t just be like, hey, I found somebody better.
(Speaker 9)
Now you have to go, even though it’s been three days.
(Speaker 1)
So if you’re constantly going through that process, you can find high -quality people, and you can keep them ready to go once you need them.
(Speaker 44)
Now, again, this is a process.
(Speaker 1)
It’s very rare that you, and their kids are great, so it’s fun to see it happen, okay? So you gotta have a to -do list, gotta have a calendar, gotta follow up, gotta have a weekly schedule. I wanna go back to Keith on this.
(Speaker 2)
Keith, what if you changed the hours that you were open at your restaurant every week based upon your emotions, based upon how you feel?
(Speaker 54)
What if you were like, you know, because I see business owners that do that.
(Speaker 22)
They’re like, you know, my kid’s six, I’ll shut down today, the week before Christmas, I’m going shopping, I’m shutting it down. What would happen if you ran your restaurant that way?
(Speaker 1)
Would be inconsistent would be the definition of that, right? But I want to first say that I’m learning something. My weakness truly is that I’m not prepared when the inevitable happens. So it’s a great tip for everybody. It’s not an easy thing to do, though, right? I mean, to have somebody to be interviewing constantly, and I should do that.
(Speaker 1)
It’s a weakness that I have that I’m going to work on.
(Speaker 4)
It’s a big thing.
(Speaker 45)
You’ve got to do it.
(Speaker 24)
So Ashley, back to you.
(Speaker 1)
You’ve got a great team of real estate agents.
(Speaker 32)
If you’ve stopped recruiting, what’s going to happen to you, inevitably?
(Speaker 1)
Well, that seems like when one leaves, it’s like three leaves, and then you’re just down. There it is. It happens. It happens, OK? Next thing, everyone needs to have in place. These are all systems.
(Speaker 1)
They’re doing it. You’ve got to have written down systems. Now, people think this is weird behavior in life, but it’s so I remember I went through three roommates my freshman year at ORU. Uh, and three roommates in two semesters. But the rule was, we’re going to bed at nine, and we’re waking up at three in my room. And they’re like, who’s we?
(Speaker 12)
Well, me and you. And I’m not doing that. I’m like, well, I’m doing that, and so you’re doing that. too. What do you mean?
(Speaker 1)
Because I don’t want to do college. I don’t want to hang out with people. I don’t want to go on, get your roommate a date. I don’t want to party. I don’t want to network. I’m just there to, I want to learn audio -visual and get out of here and start my own business.
(Speaker 1)
And I was trying to pay my way through college. So my approach was very different.
(Speaker 4)
I’m working at Applebee’s, Target, and DirecTV.
(Speaker 1)
And I’m like, I got to go to bed at 9, because I wake up at 3. And they’re like, no. I remember the first guy. He’s like, I’m not going to do it. I’m like, well. It’s going to be rough for you because I’m going to bed at nine and I’m going to make you go to bed at nine.
(Speaker 1)
I’ll put your freaking headlock. We’ll fight about it. So it was a weird deal. So I get a call from my resident advisor. He’s like, you can’t, you, you, your room. He said, you want to go to bed at nine?
(Speaker 1)
What are you like his dad? What do you want? I’m like, I just, you got to go to bed at nine if we come at three and that’s how it has to happen. So, and he’s like, well, then I’m going to have to put you by yourself, which is a penalty in college because most people want friendships. I don’t. Just being real.
(Speaker 1)
I don’t, I don’t, I don’t need, I don’t, I’m not a person who’s ever like looking for friendships. I can find people easily, so can you. I’m just like, I don’t want to be around a lot of people. Just be around the right people. Make sense? So anyway, so I’m like, okay.
(Speaker 1)
So I was, I didn’t have a roommate for a while. That was a great benefit.
(Speaker 4)
Okay, then I got a second roommate, and the second roommate’s like, he’s trying to go, hey, let’s play video games, like PlayStation, remember PlayStation? You wanna play PlayStation? We could stay up all night downloading Napster, because we can, and we can play.
(Speaker 1)
I’m like, no, no, we’re going to bed at nine. That lasted like two days, that guy. We went two days of him, I’m not going to bed, you’re not my father. I’m like, I will beat your… That’s what it’s like running a business. Is your culture, whatever you want it to be, you’re going to leave here and you’re going to want to impose a culture and they’re not going to want to impose that culture.
(Speaker 1)
Another example, I’ll flip to Ash and I’ll go to JT as well. I like R &B music. I don’t have a problem if you like country, but I don’t. That’s okay, we’ll work through it.
(Speaker 11)
But I don’t want to listen to country.
(Speaker 1)
So in my office we do two kinds of music, R and B, R &B. So, anyway. who suggests can we add that to the playlist no why because I will be the chief of the music playlist and that is one thing I do and people say do you have to put up such divisive geopolitical does the American flag have to be always with an eye shot like yeah America you know or they’ll go do you have to put Bible verse yeah you do you have that’s the way I live we had a lady the other day she came in for the interview and she walked in and right away she’s like hell no I mean just I mean Because you walk around, JT, you’ve seen the interviews, people walk in and they’re like, I’m out. I have, I have to go back though for a second on the music thing. Because one of my, it’s a strange proud moment, but we’re driving to, I forget where it was, but it was a couple states over, and I’m driving, and he’s asleep in the back, and I’m playing worship music, and he wakes up from a dead sleep, what song is this?
(Speaker 10)
And he’s like, will you email it to me?
(Speaker 1)
I was like, yes, that’s so cool That’s real that happens that happens. Yeah, I’m just being I’m just been trying to help you guys. I’m gonna help you get home I’m trying to help you do this because they’re Schubert’s are doing it. You’re gonna do it when you go home. You’re gonna do this I have to have a waterfall. So JT do you bring my broken arrow house?
(Speaker 46)
Yes waterfall in the backyard.
(Speaker 1)
Yeah, so yeah So I have to I just have to have it and I can’t live with that. I can’t I can’t do no waterfall It’s too much. I can’t live that way. I can’t do it.
(Speaker 51)
I can’t wash my own clothes.
(Speaker 1)
I’ve never washed my own clothes. I have never washed my own clothes. There’s a statement of fact. In college, you say, come on, how’d you do it? I paid people.
(Speaker 55)
So I’m not washing my clothes.
(Speaker 15)
It’s not a use of my time.
(Speaker 54)
Being real, you’re horrible.
(Speaker 5)
I don’t wear the same socks twice.
(Speaker 1)
What?
(Speaker 2)
I always buy new socks. That’s why I always carry my little suitcase. You know this. The idiosyncrasies.
(Speaker 1)
And I tell them, like, I think I don’t try to be super bougie, but I guess in a way I am high maintenance, because I’m always going to wear new socks. I just can’t wear the same socks twice. And you say, are you nuts? Probably.
(Speaker 29)
What I’m saying is somebody out there, you have your own business, and you have a…
(Speaker 1)
How many of you have your own business, but it’s controlled by other people? You’re hostage. Who here is hostage in your own business, or you have been before? Bronson, what happens if you let your staff set their own playlist? What happens? It’s scary.
(Speaker 1)
It’s not good.
(Speaker 45)
It’s not good.
(Speaker 1)
Ashley, what would happen if you let every member of your staff choose their own logo, their own print pieces, their own way of doing it? Well, thankfully, the Real Estate Commission won’t let them.
(Speaker 4)
So that’s in my back pocket. It’s a good thing. But we want consistency and I want our brand to be consistent because I’ve worked hard to build this brand and I want it when people see my logo I want them to know what we stand for. JT there was a guy that came to the interview for to interview for the dog business and I’ll never forget he pulls me aside after the interview you did not hire him but he was talking about he’d been a trainer before. And he’s like talking about, well, you know, I have a way with dogs. And I’m like, how is the way?
(Speaker 4)
It’s more of an older guy. Yeah. Yeah. He’s like how he connects with dogs.
(Speaker 40)
And he’s he has a way he can speak to the dog and the dog.
(Speaker 4)
And I’m like, I don’t I don’t know that’s going to work out. You know, I mean, JT, it’s his business. He can decide. I’m just here to help facilitate this connection here. He’s like, I don’t do systems. I’m right.
(Speaker 4)
And that happens a lot.
(Speaker 1)
If you let all the dog trainers come in and come up with their own methodology, what would happen? It just gets wild and I’ll use a example because I’m not going to use names, but there’s a business owner who is Once feedback from his employees, so he started getting feedback, but then now when he tells people to do things They’ll just tell him no because what happens is now they think they’re the ones running the business And so now they think if you put a print piece, so there’s that fine line. So you’re asking for feedback, but now what happens is they’re like, oh no, that rap looks bad, or that looks bad. No, I’m just not going to do that. So he asks his employee, hey, you’re using the company credit card.
(Speaker 1)
I need you to make a list of what you’re spending it on, because I have to turn it into the accountant after. So we need a receipt for every single thing.
(Speaker 9)
Makes sense.
(Speaker 53)
And she just said, no.
(Speaker 1)
I’m not going to do that because that’s more work for me. You do it. And these are the exact words that came out of her mouth, and she’s still working there. But now what happens is, it’s culture is that which you allow to grow, so then it festers. So now it goes from there, because now your good employees that are doing awesome, they see this employee talk to you like that. And they’re like, this bad employee gets to talk to him like that?
(Speaker 1)
Why don’t I?
(Speaker 18)
Like, I know better.
(Speaker 9)
And so then it just, it gets weird fast.
(Speaker 1)
So, I want you to think about your life, think about your business, when you get back to your office, okay, and just jot this down on page zero, think about it, there’s a checklist, okay? Sites, what visuals do you want in your office? Sites, so think about when you get back to your office, like what, you become the environment, the environment impacts you, right?
(Speaker 24)
So what are the sites that you want in your business?
(Speaker 10)
So sites, the sounds.
(Speaker 52)
Keith, you’ve got this restaurant and you’ve got live music down there.
(Speaker 1)
Live music on the first floor? Every night, once a week, once a month? Yeah, four or five nights a week. Oh, it’s beautiful. Thank you. I love that place.
(Speaker 1)
It’s the best, but it’s a good energy there, live music. But it might be too loud for people that don’t like live music.
(Speaker 26)
How would you describe the first floor?
(Speaker 1)
Well, the first floor is the live music, and then if you want to dine, you can dine upstairs where I ate with you and Devin that night. Yeah, so then the third floor, what’s, is the third floor, even if we talk about the third floor, is that a secret floor, or is that? No, it’s a residence. Okay. We had dinner with you and General Flynn up there, and that was a great experience for us, too. But culture is what you allow to grow, right?
(Speaker 1)
Okay, so sight,
(Speaker 45)
sounds.
(Speaker 51)
Okay, sounds.
(Speaker 1)
Smells.
(Speaker 52)
Smells.
(Speaker 51)
I love pinyon wood.
(Speaker 1)
That’s the only smell I recognize.
(Speaker 39)
I don’t like perfume.
(Speaker 1)
I love people that wear perfume. It’s great for you, but not for me. I don’t know. It’s a thing.
(Speaker 35)
I love pinyon wood.
(Speaker 50)
Pinyon wood.
(Speaker 47)
You guys know what pinyon wood is?
(Speaker 1)
It’s like a wood that repels insects, primarily. It’s kind of a sweet wood. It’s found in New Mexico. I like it. I’m always burning it.
(Speaker 5)
I have a problem. I’m always buying that.
(Speaker 1)
And new socks.
(Speaker 30)
Okay, pinyon wood.
(Speaker 1)
So sights, sounds, smells. Okay? experiences. You want to script it, okay? Script it. Who’s been to the Rainforest Cafe?
(Speaker 1)
He loves the Rainforest Cafe. Oh yeah, tell me about it. Okay, just tell me. Santa. Santa. Okay.
(Speaker 1)
You want it sight, sound, smell, and experience. You’ve made your insurance process that people buy insurance from you. It’s not painful. Walk us through why your process is not painful to buy insurance from you. What have you, how’s it different than the traditional insurance model? We have a detailed script and checklist that each rep will follow.
(Speaker 1)
Therefore, it’s consistent. Sights, sounds, smells, experiences, okay? Okay? It’s very important. And the final thing is the people. What kind of people do you want to work with all day?
(Speaker 1)
Like, I want to be around people that I actually like being around. That’s crazy, controversial, but I like Darren. He’s hilarious. This guy, he’s fun. He’s kind of a, he’s a very successful entrepreneur, but he’s kind of a secret, sneaky, sneaky. Have you ever seen Mr. Deeds?
(Speaker 1)
You know the sneaky guy who hangs out with Adam Sandler, who’s always sneaking up?
(Speaker 49)
That’s how he is.
(Speaker 1)
He knows a lot. And you won’t tell you a lot, but then when you ask him, it’s like machine gun wisdom. This guy, Darren, super awesome. I like Ryan Wells.
(Speaker 47)
He’s a great guy.
(Speaker 5)
Ryan is always bragging on his wife. You could be talking about something else, and he’s always like, you know, my wife’s the best. I like that.
(Speaker 1)
That’s kind of fun. He’s always like, she’s the best. I like that. I don’t want to be around people where I just, there’s a friction just being around them.
(Speaker 45)
It makes sense?
(Speaker 48)
Sights, sounds, smells, experiences.
(Speaker 5)
Okay, any other questions? These guys have created a family culture, a business culture.
(Speaker 1)
Does anyone have any questions for the shoe boy? about how they do it all? They got 11 different LLCs, they got seven kids, pray for them. A lot of going on there. Any questions for the Shuberts about how they do it? Anybody?
(Speaker 1)
Anybody? In the back, yes, what’s your question there? Just kind of shout it out with some passion. With 11 LLCs, who are the different managers? Bronson, maybe you should fess up to your Caribbean fake companies. Yeah, Bronson.
(Speaker 1)
That’s mainly my duty and then we also have very good managers in place for the actual busy growing companies. Some of the LLCs are more for liability protection and holding assets and rental properties and stuff like that. But I manage most of them and then we have good managers on our big businesses. Any other questions for Bronson or Ashley? Yes ma ‘am. When you set up all those LLCs, how are they organized?
(Speaker 1)
Maybe you could tell us about how you run guns for the Iranians illegally with your LLC system here now. I guess it’s time to fess up, buddy. Dude. We don’t have a master LLC that owns them all. We keep every business separate at the moment. But I’m sure your trusted CPA or attorney, state playing attorney, can figure that out for you.
(Speaker 1)
What I can say, I’ll give you this. Sean, pull it up on the screen. 96, you will get sued, Forbes. Highly motivational article. You will get sued, Forbes. Forbes reports now that 90 % of businesses are being sued by an employee, a former employee or a current employee for a wrongful termination or injuries that might or might not have happened.
(Speaker 1)
90 % of businesses are being sued by a current or former employee for injuries or recent wrongful terminations or 90%.
(Speaker 47)
Now let me tell you, who remembers the 80s?
(Speaker 1)
Who remembers the 90s? It was right before 2000s. Remember that? I remember my boss Butch. I wanted to be successful, but I wasn’t willing to work hard. I’m working for a guy who wants to be successful.
(Speaker 1)
and I’m like 16, okay? And a guy like Keith, he’s serious. He wants to wow the customers. And my buddies and I, we’re trying to eat all the food. That’s our plan. We’re going to go to work.
(Speaker 1)
We’re going to eat all the food, you know? And Butch is like, Mr. Clark, can I talk to you, sir?
(Speaker 34)
And I’m like, yeah, yeah, what’s up?
(Speaker 1)
He’s like, stop eating all the food, you know? And I pre -cried, so he dropped, you know. Don’t, stop eating all the effing food, you know? Stop eating.
(Speaker 40)
I’m going, okay.
(Speaker 23)
He’s like, don’t laugh about it either.
(Speaker 1)
I’m pissed. I’m like, okay. And he’s like, by the way, don’t do it again. And I’m like, okay, serious about every 30 seconds. He’s like, are you, I’m watching you, you know?
(Speaker 9)
And I’m like, Oh my God, which is bad. And there was a time period where, and then, you know, people who worked there who would continue this plan, he would fire them. He’d say crazy things that you’d say in the nineties, like you’re fired, you know?
(Speaker 1)
And then our, my, my buddies, we’d go, Oh snap, you got fired. You’re done. And at school, we would say rumors based upon truth. We would say he got fired. They go, why are you getting fired? Cause he was eating all the food snacks.
(Speaker 1)
A lot over here is eating all the food. He got fired. You know? And now, let me tell you what would happen now.
(Speaker 5)
Now the employee would go, are you accusing me of eating all the food?
(Speaker 1)
Yeah, I pretty much saw you eat all the steak. Yeah, but it’s causing me anxiety. What’s this wrongful? Who knows what I’m talking about?
(Speaker 46)
So you’re going to be sued.
(Speaker 1)
It’s not a prophetic thing.
(Speaker 45)
It’s statistically improbable that you will.
(Speaker 28)
Keith, have you been around long enough where you’ve ever had anybody ever get misled about anything?
(Speaker 1)
Anybody ever play any legal games in your life? It seems like – No, it’s been 46 years of bliss.
(Speaker 2)
But I can tell you that you hit a nerve because after 45 years plus of being in business, I just got sued for wrongful termination. And it was very, very upsetting because we didn’t deserve that.
(Speaker 31)
And so you’ve got to have, whenever you make money, view it like you’re in the end zone.
(Speaker 23)
You know how a lot of players, they get in the end zone, they give the game ball to their mom or their dad.
(Speaker 1)
That ball will not be used again.
(Speaker 2)
That’s how you got to view money.
(Speaker 1)
Once you make money, get it out of the company and get it into an entity where you can protect that thing, because it’s going to happen. Are we on the same page? And Bronson, you guys sell insurance products. How often do you deal with people that are going, man, you know, I’m trying to buy this house, but I’m getting sued? How often do you run into people saying, I’m in a litigation? I mean, how often do you hear these kind of things?
(Speaker 44)
Oh, very often. And so we make sure that we have a liability conversation and recommend the right amount of insurance to help with that.
(Speaker 7)
It’s just so important you have, you protect your assets. And we’ve got Spurls here, he can help you out there. Any other questions for Bronson and Ashley? Anybody? These are real people doing it, really doing it, making it happen. Anybody?
(Speaker 43)
Anybody?
(Speaker 6)
Anybody? Okay. What we’re gonna do now is, Ashley, you’re gonna stick around for a little bit. I think you have a book or books available. I have a book, Raising a Business and Babies, and I have a devotional. I just brought two today.
(Speaker 6)
Two? Yep. Okay, so we can meet you in the bookstore? I would love that. Okay, we’ll come back here at 11 .05 for our final session before lunch at JT. I’m gonna keep you if we can.
(Speaker 11)
And then we’re gonna come back here and answer all the questions on the board and talk about marketing. So we’re gonna come back here at 11 .05. Come back here at 11 .05 with JT and Saul and Jordan and Danica. Where’s Jordan and Danica? Are they here?
(Speaker 7)
Jordan and Danica? Jordan and Danica? Hi there, my name is David Stanaway and I heard about the conference last year, spring 2024 on Rumble and I believe it was at the end of the podcast and I heard Clay and I woke up and said I need that and so when I woke back up I said I called and lo and behold they called me back.
(Speaker 42)
I paid $250 or whatever I wanted to pay and Here I am, I’ve been with them for a year and a half now.
(Speaker 31)
My business has grown 50 % and we’re projected to double it hopefully by next year.
(Speaker 25)
And we’re growing.
(Speaker 7)
If you get the chance to come to the conference, I highly suggest it to anybody in business, wants to be in business, doesn’t know anything about business. Get a hold of Clay and his team, they’re great.
(Speaker 6)
Amen. So I’m originally from Seattle, Washington. And so far, it’s been really entertaining. It’s very dynamic. I love the fact that they have a constant moving panel of experts in all different fields. So it’s very malleable.
(Speaker 6)
So I feel like there’s something for everybody. And it’s also very, it’s almost like business conference meets Saturday Night Live, right?
(Speaker 41)
It’s very fun.
(Speaker 14)
It’s very dynamic. It’s very engaging. And it’s not just someone being a talking head. kind of like spelling out the knowledge you know the knowledge that you’re not going to get you know just anywhere and you get a whole plethora of folks giving their their top tips on how to really excel in business.
(Speaker 21)
John Hendricks and I think it was uh well I’m trying to think I think it was probably online maybe um watching somebody else’s podcast or something like that yeah and then that’s how I heard about it. Oh it’s the atmosphere is um really uh Oh, it’s really upbeat. There’s high energy.
(Speaker 20)
There’s a lot of high energy people. If you were just kind of like slow and lethargic and stuff, you get around this group of people, the people that show up here, it’s a high energy crowd. It’s a very high energy crowd.
(Speaker 19)
I’m originally from central Missouri, Columbia, Missouri. And that’s where my business is operated out of. And basically, yeah.
(Speaker 7)
What was the other question? How would you describe the atmosphere? The atmosphere is uplifting and rejoiceful and glorious. I would recommend the conference to anybody, yes. The atmosphere is very energetic again. Everyone here, they have a common goal of kind of coming up, they’re starting a business, accelerating in their business and getting top tips from
(Speaker 7)
that have already made it in the industry. So I think it’s a really dynamic way to engage with people. They’re very network -y, so people are out here meeting each other and really engaging. And really, it’s important because we’re not really doing that anymore. People don’t talk to each other anymore.
(Speaker 1)
So it’s a great platform for people to come back together in a very graspable, organic way.
(Speaker 18)
My name is Lisa.
(Speaker 1)
and I heard about it from my manager. Everyone’s super friendly here. Everyone’s willing to help you out a little bit. And yeah, it’s really, really cool. My name is Eric Wagner. I’m with CoolWag in Binfield, Arkansas.
(Speaker 1)
I heard about this business conference a while ago with my wife. My name is Naoko Rojiregi. I’m originally from Okinawa, Japan, and I’ve learned a lot of business, relationship, God, and lots of information. Amazing, energetic, and it’s just positive vibes. Matthew Dingy. What I’ve learned is how to organize your goals and how to execute your business plans when you go back.
(Speaker 40)
Fun, encouraging, and challenging.
(Speaker 1)
Hello, my name is Paul Sollins, and I’ve actually been a client for Clay’s for about three years now. I heard from a friend of mine about the conference. He invited me three years ago, and I loved it so much I ended up being a client. I’ve been there for three years, and it’s taken my business to the next level. It’s changed my life, my family’s life, and it’s just, it’s been an amazing, amazing experience, and I love it every time I come. And it’s just, you can’t, You can’t explain these conferences and what they do.
(Speaker 1)
So I think everybody that owns a business or is thinking about a business needs to make it here. I mean, I’ve met people from California to New York City here. And this is not just for Oklahomans, it’s for everybody.
(Speaker 39)
for everybody in the US.
(Speaker 1)
And if you want to build a business, this is the place to go.
(Speaker 29)
Okay, Aaron Antis, guess who’s joining us for the December 4th and 5th 2025 Thrive Time Show Business Growth Workshop.
(Speaker 38)
Ooh, Santa Claus?
(Speaker 37)
No, we will not be joined by Santa Claus, but we will be joined by Eric Trump, the son of the 45th and now 47th president of these United States.
(Speaker 36)
And yes, Amanda Grace will be in the place.
(Speaker 1)
And yes, Dr. Stella Manuel will be there, so you know it will go well. Yes, we have Mel K in the house.
(Speaker 35)
Pastor Phil and Tammy Hotzenpiller will be hosting this event at their beautiful church right there in sunny Anaheim, California.
(Speaker 34)
Yes, folks, make this a December to remember.
(Speaker 1)
Make this a December to remember and join us at the two -day interactive business growth workshops.
(Speaker 33)
For over 20 years, folks, I’ve been hosting business growth workshops where we’re going to teach you marketing, sales systems, human resources, accounting, social media marketing, branding, sales training, search engine optimization, accounting, workflow development, financial management, all this and more.
(Speaker 1)
How do you get tickets? Go to thrivetimeshow . com. Again, how do you get tickets? Go to thrivetimeshow . com.
(Speaker 3)
I’m Ron Burgundy.
(Speaker 1)
45th President of the United States and now the 47th President of the United States is Eric Trump. Eric Trump is here to talk about time management, promoting from within, marketing, branding, quality control, sales systems, workflow design, workflow mapping, how to build. I mean, everything that you see, the Trump hotels, the Trump golf courses, all their products, the man who manages Billions of dollars of real estate and thousands of employees is here to teach us how to do it. You are talking about one of the greatest brands on the planet from a business standpoint. I mean, who else has been able to create a brand like the Trump brand? I mean, look at it.
(Speaker 1)
And this is the man behind the business for the last, pretty much since 2015. He’s been the man behind it, so you’re talking, we’re into nine going into 10 years of him running it, and we get to tap into that knowledge. That’s gonna be amazing. Now, think about this for a second.
(Speaker 23)
Nothing is over until we decide it is!
(Speaker 18)
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Germans? Forget it, he’s rolling.
(Speaker 1)
And it’s $500 for a VIP ticket. Now, we only have limited seating here. Whoa! There’s a lot of togetherness and closeness, camaraderie. So again, if you want to get tickets for this event, all you have to do is go to thrivetimeshow . com.
(Speaker 1)
Go to thrivetimeshow . com.
(Speaker 32)
When you go to thrivetimeshow .
(Speaker 1)
com, you’ll go there. You’ll request a ticket. Boom. Or if you want to text me, if you want a little bit faster service, you say, I want you to call me right now. Just text my number. It’s my cell phone number.
(Speaker 1)
phone number. My personal cell phone number. We’ll keep that. private between you, between you, me, everybody. We’ll keep that private. And anybody, don’t share that with anybody except for everybody.
(Speaker 1)
That’s my private cell phone number. It’s 918 -851 -0102. 918 -851 -0102. I know we have a lot of Spanish -speaking people that attend these conferences. And so to be bilingually sensitive, my cell phone number is 918 -851 -0102. Zero tip.
(Speaker 1)
That is not actually bilingual. That’s just saying Kwan for a one. It’s not the same thing. I think you’re attacking me. Now, let’s talk about this. Now, what kind of stuff will you learn at the Thrive Time Show Workshop?
(Speaker 1)
So, Aaron, you’ve been to many of these over the past seven, eight years. So let’s talk about it. I’ll tee up the thing and then you tell me what you’re going to learn here, OK? OK. You’re going to learn marketing, marketing and branding. What are we going to learn about marketing and branding?
(Speaker 1)
Oh, yeah. We’re going to dive into, you know, so many people say, oh, you know, I got to get my brand known out there like the Trump brand. Right. You want to get that brand. It’s like, how do I actually make people know what my business is and make it a household name? You’re going to learn some intricacies of how you can do that.
(Speaker 1)
You’re going to learn sales. So many people struggle to sell something. This just in, your business will go to hell if you can’t sell. So we’re going to teach you sales. We’re going to teach you search engine optimization, how to come up top in the search engine results. We’re going to teach you how to manage people.
(Speaker 1)
Aaron, I mean, you have managed, no exaggeration, hundreds of people. throughout your career and thousands of contractors. And most people struggle with managing people. Why does everybody have to learn how to manage people? Well, because first of all, people are, you either have great people or you have people who suck. So it could be a challenge, you know, learning how to work with a large group of people and get everybody pulling in the same direction can be a challenge.
(Speaker 1)
But if you have the right systems, you have the right processes, and you’re really good at selecting great ones, and we have a problem. we teach about how to find great people. When you start with the people who have a great attitude, they’re teachable, they’re driven, all of those things, then you can get those people all pulling in the same direction. So we’re going to teach you branding, marketing, sales, search engine optimization. We’re going to teach you accounting. We’re going to teach you personal finance, how to manage your finance.
(Speaker 1)
We’re going to teach you how to manage How do you manage your time?
(Speaker 29)
How do you get more done during a typical day?
(Speaker 1)
How do you build an organization if you’re not organized? How do you do organization? How do you build an org chart? Everything that you need to know to start and grow a business will be taught during this two -day interactive business workshop. Now, let me tell you how the format is set up here. And again, folks, this is a two -day interactive 15.
(Speaker 1)
Think about this, folks. It’s two days.
(Speaker 31)
Each day, it starts at 7 AM, and it goes until 5 PM.
(Speaker 1)
So from 7 AM to 5 PM, two days. It’s a two -day interactive workshop. The way we do it is we do a 30 -minute teaching session, and then we break for 15 minutes for a question and answer session. So Aaron, what kind of great stuff stuff happens during that 15 minute question and answer session after every teaching session. I actually think it’s the best part about the workshops because here’s what happens. I’ve been to lots of these things over the years.
(Speaker 1)
I’ve paid many thousands of dollars to go to them and you go in there and they talk in vague generalities and they’re constantly upselling you for something trying to get you to buy this thing or that thing or this program or this membership. And you don’t, you leave not getting your very specific questions answered about your business or your employees or what you’re doing on your marketing. And what’s awesome about this is we literally answer every single question that any person asks.
(Speaker 30)
And it’s very specific to what your business is.
(Speaker 1)
And what we do is we we allow you as the attendee to write your questions on the whiteboard.
(Speaker 29)
Yeah. And then we literally, as you mentioned, we answer every single question on the whiteboard.
(Speaker 1)
And then we take a 15 minute break to to start And this is also your opportunity to meet some of the great speakers like Pastor Dave Scarlett. You could meet Mel K. You could meet Amanda Grace.
(Speaker 28)
You could meet Dr. Stella Emanuel.
(Speaker 1)
You could just grab a coffee. You could find some alone time. You could get lost in the bathroom. You could try to go and get a photo with one of the speakers. You could try to photobomb a photo where someone else is getting a photo with the speakers. You could go attempt to find your phone, wallet, and your keys.
(Speaker 1)
That’s a good idea. That means you have less than 3 % of our population that’s even self -employed. So you only have 3 out of every 100 people in America that are self -employed to begin with. And when Inc. Magazine reports that 96 % of businesses fail by default, by default, you have a 1 out of 1 ,000 chance of succeeding in the game of business. But yet the average client that you and I work with We can typically double this and this is no, no, no hyperbole, no exaggeration.
(Speaker 1)
I have thousands of testimonials to back this up. We have thousands of testimonials to back it up. But when you work with a home builder, when I work with a business owner, we can typically double the size of the company within 24 months. Yeah. Double. And you say double.
(Speaker 1)
Yeah. There’s businesses that we have tripled. There’s businesses we’ve grown eight X. There’s so many examples you can see at Thrive Time Show dot com.
(Speaker 27)
But again, this is the most interactive best business workshop on the planet.
(Speaker 2)
This is objectively the highest and most reviewed business workshop on the planet.
(Speaker 17)
Add to that Eric Trump, the man that runs the Trump Organization. You say, Clay, I still, I’m not gonna get a ticket unless you give me more. Okay, fine.
(Speaker 10)
We’re going to serve you the same meal both days.
(Speaker 5)
True story.
(Speaker 26)
We cater to the food, and because I keep it simple, I literally bring in the same food both days for lunch.
(Speaker 10)
Who’s with me? Let’s go! Come on! was an incredible Mexican restaurant. That’s going to happen. I want more. This is not enough.
(Speaker 16)
I’m not going to mention their names right now because I’m working on it behind the scenes here. We just continue to add more and more success stories.
(Speaker 5)
So if you’re out there today and you want to change your life, you want to give yourself an incredible gift, You want a life -changing experience.
(Speaker 10)
You want to learn how to start and grow a company. Go to Thrivetimeshow . com. Go there right now. Thrivetimeshow .
(Speaker 26)
com.
(Speaker 3)
Request a ticket for the two -day interactive event. Again, the event’s going to be on December 4th and 5th in sunny Anaheim, California. Great weather. Make this a December to remember. Eric Trump, the man who leads the Trump Organization. It’s going to be a blasty blast.
(Speaker 3)
There’s no upsells. Aaron, I could not be more excited about this event. I think it is incredible. And there’s somebody out there right now, you’re watching and you’re like, but I already signed up for this incredible other program called Smoke Your Way to Thin. I think that’s going to change your life. I promise you this will be 10 times better than that.
(Speaker 3)
It’s like I picked the wrong week to quit smoking. to the two -day interactive Thrive Time Show workshop in beautiful Anaheim, California.
(Speaker 15)
Already there’s the strategic, step -by -step, real -life implementation that we can do to our business, and I’m so grateful to be here.
(Speaker 25)
I’m very excited that Eric Camp is here, and that is going to be epic.
(Speaker 3)
My name is Erica, and it has been an amazing year. The conference, I’m learning so much.
(Speaker 8)
Everything is perfect for me. Clay Clark, man, he is one character. That’s a good word for him, character. Yeah, that is it. driven, smart, and I’ve never met a guy who was so hyper all the time. He’s doing so much good.
(Speaker 8)
And then I met his mother and she just says, she just lets him be Clay Clark. I mean, so he’s endorsed by his mother and he’s doing magnificent work. So it was great meeting you out there and all the people that he surrounds himself with. Clay Clark starts his days at five o ‘clock in the morning. It’s incredible.
(Speaker 10)
Yeah. He’s a machine.
(Speaker 1)
He’s a machine. But I have problems with my company starting at 9 o ‘clock. He has hundreds of people showing up at 5 a . m. in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Man, he’s a leader of a leader.
(Speaker 1)
He’s a fantastic young man. No, he is. And the greatest thing that’ll come out of all of it, aside from winning the presidency of the United States, we’ll get to that in a second, was an everlasting friendship between Clay and I, because I’m telling you, there’s not too many people in the world that have this man’s backbone and his tenaciousness and his perseverance. And so, buddy, I love you. And to General Flynn, thank you.
(Speaker 3)
You guys are incredible. You guys are incredible warriors. You guys are incredible, incredible warriors. So, thank you, my friend. Clay Clarke is here somewhere. Where’s my buddy Clay?
(Speaker 3)
Clay’s the greatest. I met his goats today. I met his dogs. I met his chickens. I saw his compound. He’s like the greatest guy.
(Speaker 3)
I ran from his goats, his chickens, his dogs. So this guy’s like the greatest marketer you’ve ever seen, right? His entire life, Clay Clarke, his entire life is marketing. 4 ,000 % from February to February. Now I can better that. Okay, Clay, I don’t think you know this.
(Speaker 3)
I don’t think you know this. I’m painting myself and if I cry, forgive me. And the last two and a half days we have bettered our entire month of February and the last two and a half days. So and the phone’s blown up. Everything’s just blown up. Well you’re right.
(Speaker 3)
It is like a rocket ship. So we’re pinching ourselves.
(Speaker 1)
Actually I learned at the Academy King’s Point in New York Octa nonverbal. Watch what a person does. not what they say we’re going to move into action mode here so for anybody out there if you say i would like to go to mar -a -lago now jackson you know that this just in they rated mar -a -lago you know about this this just in and so some people say you know that wasn’t cool i didn’t like that but you know so a lot of people out there we want to kind of stick it to the new york times we want eric to become the number one best selling author in america and we also we kind of also want to go to mar -a -lago and check it out We’ve never been there before. So what we’re going to do is for anybody right now, if you go to Amazon right now and you buy a copy of Eric Trump’s book, Under Siege, My Family’s Fight to Save Our Nation.
(Speaker 12)
So you go to Amazon right now, you buy a copy of the book.
(Speaker 1)
And you just text a screenshot of your proof of purchase to my cell phone number, 918 -851 -0102. So text my number, 918 -851 -0102. So again, step one, you go here to Amazon . com. You buy a copy of the book Under Siege. Then you just text a screenshot of your purchase, your proof of purchase.
(Speaker 1)
You text my number, 918 -851 -0102. You have a chance to win a dinner at Mar -a -Lago with Eric Trump and myself. And there’s more. Mar -a -Lago right there, just for your viewers. It’s the most exclusive private club in the world. $2 million to get into, just base membership fee.
(Speaker 1)
And I promise we’re going to make your night absolutely incredible. Clay goes, listen, why don’t we do this? Why don’t we put it out to all the amazing reawakened people, all the people who supported us all around the country, all around, you know, at every one of these conferences who adore your family.
(Speaker 13)
You know, we’ve got to beat the New York Times.
(Speaker 1)
The New York Times is going to do everything they can. Even though we’re number one on Amazon right now, we just hit number one this morning.
(Speaker 3)
New York Times is going to do everything they can to keep you from being number one bestseller.
(Speaker 1)
You know that. I know that. You know the games that they’re willing to play. But Clay goes, why don’t we do a couple of things? First of all, I love having dinner with Clay. He’s the greatest.
(Speaker 1)
Second of all, why don’t we bring one of the amazing people that I guarantee you I’ve been in front of at all these events. Why don’t we bring a couple to dinner at Mar -a -Lago?” And I said, absolutely, consider it done. So I said, they have to text you, Clay. They can’t text me because we’ll be getting 1 ,000 of these. But yeah, go buy a book.
(Speaker 1)
Text Clay. And we’ll set up a dinner. I’ll make sure you guys have the absolute time of your life. I want to pull this up again one more time here, Jackson. I think sometimes I’m a poor communicator, and I need to work on communicating more effectively. So you go to Amazon.
(Speaker 1)
That’s step one, OK? Yes. You buy a copy of the book Pop Quiz. What book is it? Under Siege. You buy a copy of Under Siege and then you screenshot a picture of that and you text my phone number.
(Speaker 1)
It’s 918 -851 -0102. Folks, that is my cell phone number. So we’ll keep that private between you and me and everybody. And then when you text that to me, you have a chance to win a backstage pass to the actual in -person business workshop. That’s a business growth workshop, December 4th and 5th, featuring Eric Trump in Anaheim, California. and you have a chance to win dinner with Eric Trump and myself at Mar -a -Lago.
(Speaker 1)
Now, someone says, when does this contest end? Now, Eric, your birthday was hijacked, OK? So your birthday was hijacked.
(Speaker 3)
January 6th is this man’s birthday. He now has to switch his birthday because no one wants to talk about his birthday on January 6th anymore. So we’re going to run this promotion until November 5th. That’s not your birthday. No, no. So we’re going to run it until October 14th.
(Speaker 3)
October 14th. It has to be a presale. This just in. It has to be between October 14th. That’s why we’re clarifying. So between now and October 14th.
(Speaker 3)
October 14th. Now, folks, let me just clarify this real quick here. So make sure I’m leaving you with some good clarity here. One, you buy a copy of Under Siege on Amazon. That’s the step one. Step two, you text a screenshot of that purchase to my cell phone number, 918 -851 -0102.
(Speaker 3)
Three, you have to do that before October 14th. Before October 14th, this just in, it has to be before October 14th. And you have a chance to win a backstage pass to the upcoming business workshop. You have a chance to have dinner with Eric Trump at Mar -a -Lago. And I want to tell you some benefits of buying the book. One, I’ve read the book.
(Speaker 3)
It’s incredible. If you’re a father out there and you want to learn about mentoring your kids, it’s a great book. If you want to learn about American history, it’s a great book. If you want to make America great again, it is a great book. It’s a book you got to have. Now here is just a quick editor’s note.
(Speaker 3)
You do not have to buy a copy of Eric Trump’s book Under Siege to be entered into the drawing. Just text the number. All you have to do is just text the number 918 -851 -0102 and you will be entered into the drawing. a chance to win a copy of Eric Trump’s book Under Siege and a once in a lifetime opportunity to hang out with Eric Trump and Clay Clark at Mar -a -Lago. and to win a backstage pass at the upcoming thrivetimeshow . com two -day interactive business workshop.
(Speaker 3)
Again, you do not have to buy a copy of the book to be entered into the drawing, but it would be great if you’d buy a copy of the book because that would make sense. However, that is all, and now back to the interview.
(Speaker 1)
Also, Eric, a final question here for you. You are donating a portion of the proceeds to support Charlie Kirk in his continued mission there. Could you tell us about that briefly there, and then we’ll let you get back to what you’re doing today, sir. Yeah, well, I was on with Benny Johnson. Benny Johnson was a great friend of Charlie Kirk’s, as you know, and you know Benny, and Benny’s a very good friend of mine, and you know, Cash Patel is a very good friend of mine, and was a very good friend of Charlie’s. I mean, You watch everybody that’s up on that stage every single day as they got to the bottom of exactly what happened, and they brought justice to what happened, or are trying to bring justice to what happened.
(Speaker 1)
And it’s kind of unthinkable. But you know St. Jude, and I talk a lot about St. Jude in this book, because fighting pediatric cancer has always been a cornerstone of my life.
(Speaker 3)
But Charlie truly, truly, truly was the epitome of being under siege, not only in the movement that he helped create, But obviously in how his life was savagely taken. My book came out three days, two and a half days before Charlie’s assassination. You better believe he would have been the final chapter of this book as just another illustration of what these people will do at any cost. to try and win because it’s who they are. It’s, you know, it’s the not so tolerant left. And we can never let, you know, our voices be extinguished, Clay.
You stood on that stage as well as anybody I’ve ever seen stand on a stage. You did our reawakened events all across the country, which you funded out of your back pocket because you believe in America. You believed in a greater country. And you were on that stage every single day. You know I was on that stage with you every single day.
And I was on the Turning Point stage with Charlie all the time. And I was on stages across the country in three campaigns. I’ve stood on thousands of them. And honestly, they don’t want us to stand on that stage. That’s why they’re sending bullets from rooftops. They don’t want us to go out there with a bullhorn and have loud, independent thought.
When they see these beautiful arenas full of kids and they’re cheering, they’re celebrating, they’re holding American flags, they don’t want that. And so they want to silence us. They want to silence our voice. That’s why they killed Charlie. That’s why they tried to kill my father. That’s why they sent 112 subpoenas to me.
That’s why they wanted me in jail and my father in jail and Don in jail. That’s why they made up the hoaxes. They wanted to see us destroyed and gone with no voice, with no money, with no company, with no political aspirations, gone. And we can’t allow that to happen. And so we need to make sure the turning point continues. We need to make sure incredible patriots like you continue to spread you know, sensical speech, pro -American values, you know, pro -religious, pro -constitutional values.
And that’s why I want to donate the funds to Turning Point. I want to donate, you know, a portion of the funds to Turning Point because we can’t allow, we can’t allow anarchy to win and we can’t allow voices to be deleted. And we need to keep Charlie’s legacy going. Eric Trump, thank you so much for joining us. Pastor Jackson, thank you so much for joining us. Absolutely.
Eric, have a great day. We really do appreciate you. Everybody go out there and buy that book, Undersea. Just not too early to buy your Christmas gifts. And if you have a Democrat in your family, buy them a copy as well. Eric Trump, take care.
Thanks, guys. See you later.
