(Speaker 4)
Once again, ladies and gentlemen, please stand at your feet and greet the son of President Donald J. Trump, the man who runs the Trump Organization, my good friend and now yours, ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Eric Trump.

(Speaker 15)
Some shows don’t need a celebrity in the ring, but this show does. In a world filled with endless opportunities, why would two men who have built 13 multi -million dollar businesses altruistically invest five hours per day? to teach you the best practice business systems and moves that you can use, because they believe in you and they have a lot of time on their hands. They started from the bottom. Now they’re here. It’s the Thrive Time Show, starring the former U .

(Speaker 15)
S. Small Business Administration’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Clay Clark, and the entrepreneur trapped inside an optometrist’s body, Dr. Robert Zunich. Two men, eight kids, co -created by two different women. 13 multi -million dollar businesses.

(Speaker 4)
I appreciate what they’re doing, and we will not have any problems today. Now, I want to bring up, if I can, I want to bring up Pastor Jackson Laumeyer. I think he’s around here somewhere. Pastor Jackson Laumeyer, and I want to bring up Tyler Carson. Tyler, Tyler, let me bring you up here. Let’s bring up, okay.

(Speaker 4)
And let’s bring up, let’s bring up Jackson Laumeyer. Jackson Laumeyer, okay, all right. And, okay, let’s bring up Jackson. So Jackson Laumeyer, is he here somewhere? Okay, Charles Colaw, I need you for a second. Charles Colaw, I need you for a second, okay.

(Speaker 4)
Yes.

(Speaker 45)
Yes.

(Speaker 56)
Okay.

(Speaker 4)
Um, so, uh, and then pastor Jackson somewhere. Okay.

(Speaker 3)
A couple of quick, a quick housekeeping notes.

(Speaker 2)
Charles, we’ve had opportunity to work with you now for, uh, uh, what?

(Speaker 4)
I think eight year, uh, Amber eight, eight years. Yeah. Eight years. And, um, can you talk about that? Cause I, I, I believe. Working with you, it’s a shalom relationship, okay?

(Speaker 4)
So, it means win -win, right? So, yes, our company gets paid $1 ,700, that’s what we charge. Yes, you grow your company, that’s how that works.

(Speaker 2)
Can you talk about that real quick? Because you’re, in my mind, a prototype of the kind of heart posture that we like to work with. Well, we started off, you know, with two locations, getting ready to open the third. And I had somebody say, hey, you’ve got to work with this guy, Clay. And I’m like, I don’t need to work with him, I’m doing great. Well, I come to a conference, I see this stuff.

(Speaker 2)
A lot of like, I’ve got an MBA, finance accounting, HR background. I listen to his stuff. He’s got such practical good advice. Like everybody, you go, it’s like those aha things that you’re getting all throughout the conference. And so anyways, finally, I thought, well, let’s give it a go. Anyways, meet with Clay.

(Speaker 2)
Eventually, we started following the systems. And I’d probably push back. 50 % of it or something like that. Cause I think he’s telling me stuff. I’m like, well, it’s my, my, I have a different industry. It’s not quite, but the more that I finally just kind of said, okay, I’ll just do everything you’re telling me at that point, we just took off and boomed.

(Speaker 2)
And so the whole point is, is he’s been in every industry. He’s not like, this is a new thing for him. Um, the, his neural pathways ways, brain fires is so fast. You guys can tell that he’s, he’s like, like just uniquely smart with this stuff. So I just became, I got to be a humble student with a posture of, you know, say, Hey, yes, sir. Yes, sir.

(Speaker 4)
And the more I did that, the faster we’ve grown. And yeah, we’ve grown tremendously in the last eight years. I would just say money is a magnifier. So money is just going to make you more of who you are already. If you wanted to sow seeds in a ministry, you can do that more. That’s what money is.

(Speaker 4)
It’s a magnifier. And there’s so many people here. that behind the scenes do a lot of great things for people, and it’s because they built a successful business, and they’re able to really help, you know? And it’s the reawakened tour, if we hadn’t had the support of great people like Charles and Ambricola, we couldn’t do it, you know? And so it’s a thing of, like, that was, again, relationships. I didn’t know that we would be doing this reawakened tour, the Amazing Money Losing Machine, but we did, and you have to have a viable business in order to do that kind of thing.

(Speaker 4)
Now, Vanessa, you had an announcement real quick.

(Speaker 11)
Vanessa’s coming up here. Charles, I’m gonna have you stay with me just for a second here, okay? Last one, just to make things flow easier, when, about 11 .30, so before he gets here, Secret Service is gonna make sure no one is on this side of this red stanchion, but there’s also Everyone who’s in that whole group over there. They’re gonna empty out So just letting you guys know so that it makes it easier There are some stanchions on the side like where people sit you’re gonna have to be in the Secret Service hates the bookstore Is this what this is?

(Speaker 4)
They’re gonna have to be inside like you have to be inside the ropes on this side and this side So just kind of that area will be cleared out. So just making those amount announcements So when the staff is asking people to move it goes easier and quicker Okay, so a couple quick housekeeping notes, and then we’re going to bring up our next presenter. Dr. Stella, can you come up here? Charles Kolok, can you come up here?

(Speaker 2)
And then Tyler, can you come up here, Tyler, real quick here?

(Speaker 34)
Let’s hear it for Tyler, Dr. Stella, Charles.

(Speaker 4)
Who’s Tyler? Okay. Oh, yeah, oh, yeah. Take notes somewhere in your book. Take notes somewhere in your book. Business is three parts, offense, defense, special teams.

(Speaker 4)
We talked about it, I’ll talk about it again. Offense is marketing, sales, leads, branding, okay? Defense is accounting, legal, right? We got all that, accounting, legal, all right? And special teams is, do you have a special team that can execute your dream? Make sense, okay?

(Speaker 8)
So Clay Stairs, after our next presenter, is gonna talk about how to find and onboard your team. like how to find and on board your team because if you have the teamwork you can’t make the dream work, okay?

(Speaker 4)
But Tyler here, he does credit card processing and that’s who we use to process credit cards.

(Speaker 18)
And Tyler, can you share with everybody, what’s the name of your company and what’s kind of your role with that company?

(Speaker 45)
Integrated Payment Services and I’m managing partner, so I’m actually one of the owners.

(Speaker 10)
Okay, and what’s your first and last name for everybody who wants to Google you and see if you’re secretly a member of the CIA, dude.

(Speaker 4)
Tyler Carson, C -A -R -S -O -N. What’s the website again? IntegratedPaymentServices . com. I use you to process our credit cards. I do that because we compared rates with you, and it was a no -brainer.

(Speaker 4)
We were able to save, and I don’t want to exaggerate, but it was like a little less than a percent, which is massive. you know, like a little less than a percent, and you scale that out, and it was massive. It’s also month -to -month, and so I was like, well, I’ll compare rates, and Steve Currington is who first told me about you, and that’s kind of how that happened.

(Speaker 18)
So if people are here, and they say, you know what, I want to save, because the average person that I find that compares rates with him typically will save about an average, now this is what I hear from my clients, about $5 ,000 a month, or $5 ,000 a year, $5 ,000 a year, which is like $400 a month. That’s kind of the average. But I’ve had restaurants I’ve sent his way that’ll save $10 ,000 a year. So it’s usually a pretty aggressive amount of savings for 15 minutes.

(Speaker 10)
For anybody who wants to do that, walk us through how that works there, sir.

(Speaker 4)
Yeah, so I mean, we have our website. You can find us here. We have your contact information. You can also go to Thrivetime Show. It’s forward slash credit dash cards. Boom.

(Speaker 4)
And you can compare rates. And again, I find that most people will call me and say, hey, I save five grand a year by switching. But if you like it, great. If not, no worries.

(Speaker 18)
But we had a great credit card processor for years, over a decade. And he passed away. And the person that took over his company jacked the rates up very high without our knowledge. And so we were ready to compare rates.

(Speaker 10)
So anything else you want to share about your business?

(Speaker 4)
Yeah, so we’re month to month.

(Speaker 49)
We’re based here in the United States.

(Speaker 4)
So whenever you need support or anything like that, you’re going to be calling our office.

(Speaker 18)
We’re going to be able to help you.

(Speaker 10)
Like he said, we’re month to month, but we also guarantee that what our rates are at the start with us will be that way the entire time of the length that you do business with us.

(Speaker 4)
There’s a guy in the back who either wants to affirm the message or rebuke the message. What’s up? You have a payment app for Android.

(Speaker 18)
Yes, and it doesn’t even require a Bluetooth reader.

(Speaker 10)
Our app actually uses the NFC in the phone, so you can just tap card to card.

(Speaker 4)
And his company uses the latest technology, but they haven’t used the latest latest. They’re not using Mark of the Beast technology.

(Speaker 2)
So their latest technology, but not the latest latest. Yeah, it does. Next day funding.

(Speaker 10)
Beautiful got it again and Charles give him a rude question What was the question you would ask if you were gonna think about comparing right just give him like if you’re like serious Okay, well, I’ve got a question. Yeah, we did a comparison for him that showed a bunch of savings But he didn’t switch to us because he’s because he knows what your game is. He knows you’re the bait -and -switch No, yeah, absolutely. The biggest thing is like businesses like how when you when you when somebody would send their information to you What would you do to kind of show them a comparison?

(Speaker 18)
Like what does it take to get them to switch over generally?

(Speaker 8)
Yes, it’s a great question.

(Speaker 4)
So if you use QuickBooks or Intuit or if you use Square or PayPal or any of those, or Heartland or any of those processors, you can pull your monthly report that shows the volume that you processed and what they charged you. And in under 24 hours, we can take that report, put it into a spreadsheet, and show you to the penny what the savings would be with us. This morning, we’ve been working with a credit repair company who, with other processors, is considered high -risk. We’re going to save them $60 ,000 this year. Now, I’ll say this. This is a true story.

(Speaker 30)
I was at the Metro game the other night.

(Speaker 4)
My son, he’s running the audio -visual for games and stuff, and there’s a road game. So we went, and I hung out with my son and my daughters. We have three daughters on the same cheerleading squad right now, so it’s kind of fun watching this. And have you ever been to, like, a public place, like a grocery store, and you run into the Newman in your life? Newman! You know that ex -boyfriend, ex -girlfriend, ex -employee, and you do not want to see them, but you keep seeing them everywhere.

(Speaker 4)
I’m at the game, and that ORU song that I got kicked out of ORU for writing, one of the characters in the song who’s a real person who I really named in that real song, they’re at the game.

(Speaker 8)
And I’m with my son, and I’m like, we gotta walk the other way.

(Speaker 4)
I don’t want to talk to this person right now. Because every time we talk, they’re still pissed about it.

(Speaker 8)
Yeah, it’s a thing. So I’m like, I gotta go.

(Speaker 4)
I gotta, let’s go. But then I weave. It’s a serpentine move. It’s a serpent move. I move away. I go behind the concession hut, you know, because I don’t want to talk to this person.

(Speaker 3)
They’re still upset about it.

(Speaker 48)
And so I’m just, I’m over here.

(Speaker 18)
And then I see.

(Speaker 70)
like a ray of light, this guy in the stands.

(Speaker 4)
And that’s how you know if you like your vendors or not. Because I’m like, I went and pursued you, and I said, hello. How are you? I have my son with me. Yeah. And I saw you there.

(Speaker 9)
So he’s a guy that I work with, but I actually like him. Does that make sense?

(Speaker 10)
And so hopefully that’s a helpful thing.

(Speaker 9)
Any other question, Dr. Stille, you would ask?

(Speaker 4)
If you were thinking about credit card processing, that guy, I’d ask you this.

(Speaker 3)
How long does it take to onboard the whole process?

(Speaker 16)
Because sometimes they do that, and it takes forever.

(Speaker 4)
So our our agreement takes about probably three to five minutes to complete and we can have the account set up within one to two days.

(Speaker 10)
Let’s do it.

(Speaker 4)
Okay so folks that’s Tyler. Tyler we’re kicking you out of here we love you so much. Thank you guys. He’ll be around during lunch. I’ll be here if anyone wants to come find me and ask questions. Why don’t you kind of hang out the bookstore areas we’ll can find you.

(Speaker 4)
Yeah, I’ll have you hang out there, bookstore, okay.

(Speaker 9)
And then before we introduce our next speaker, I want to just share some things, because some things we’re going to talk about over the weekend, you’re going to go, I need to pursue that, or I need to go follow up on that. Some things you go hard pass, don’t care, not interested. Dr. Stella has been a great sponsor of the Thrive Time Show for a long time, behind the scenes, does a lot of great things. And you have a thing you’re working on, someone’s interested, someone’s not. Tell us about the thing you’re working on so people can meet you during lunch and talk to you about the thing. A lot of you know for the past five years, we treated over 100 ,000 patients and we provided hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin to the whole country.

(Speaker 9)
A lot of people are doing it now, but we’re the people that started it. And today, I still advise everybody get hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin in your medicine cabinet. But one of the biggest things I’ve done in the past five years was actually develop nutraceuticals to repair your immune system, rebuild your immune system, and address some of the things that have happened during this pandemic, like hair loss, sleep disorders, you know, calcium, bone, you know, just dealing with a lot of things.

(Speaker 4)
And we sat down and worked with naturopathic doctors, which is something I’ve really learned in the past five years. I went from just being a doctor that writes prescriptions to working with naturopathic doctors and producing supplements that will help rebuild your immune system. And when you take our supplements, they work. Clay, you were here the other day. Last time we were here, he was all stuffy. I said, use this quickly and he uses free and you got better it would be put up with the real quick uh… you know i don’t i don’t think that you’re just a big will for any illness

(Speaker 4)
My ankle hurts, Dayquil.

(Speaker 8)
I’m tired, Dayquil. It’s a Tuesday, Dayquil.

(Speaker 4)
That’s kind of my go -to move, duct tape, Dayquil. So I wasn’t feeling good, and she was like, I couldn’t almost talk, you know?

(Speaker 9)
And you were like, hey, take this stuff. And I don’t believe her, just being real. I’m being real. How many of you, I mean, in her dialogue, I was like, I don’t believe you, I don’t know, there’s no way you spray the thing, whatever. So then she says try it, and then it worked, and then it was in my face, and this continues to happen with you, so that’s the thing. So we have like this really beautiful spray with all the things that are happening, you know, with all the environmental pollutants, people with asthma, people with all, you know, so we produce these things that help.

(Speaker 9)
Our product, Covilite, his staff said they practically survived him just taking Covilite. And it helps you with brain fog, people, children that have like ADHD, it help them focus.

(Speaker 42)
But the most important thing that we’ve done right now is, I know a lot of people take our products, they work, they refer them.

(Speaker 9)
But we now decided to establish a direct sales company around our products.

(Speaker 56)
So that way, you can help people to grow their businesses, and you can also produce wealth.

(Speaker 4)
We have helped a lot of podcasters pay their bills as they talk about our products.

(Speaker 9)
So right now we’re launching a direct sales company where, you know, you can come in… We as in you? We, plus you.

(Speaker 4)
You said we, but you. You’re launching.

(Speaker 9)
Aren’t you a part of it?

(Speaker 49)
How about everybody here is part of it?

(Speaker 9)
That’s why I said we. You, you, I’m going to say you. You, we as in you. All right, me. Yes, you. No, we.

(Speaker 9)
Because, you know, anyway, our company is launching the direct sales. So if you come in and you, you’d sign up on the direct sales, you get your ambassador pack, you get signed up. It’s like $150. You get something for your family and everybody you need it. You get a 15 % off it, but you get registered. And from there you can refer our products and get 20 % cash back.

(Speaker 9)
if you bring other people you can overwrite them and just go so basically we have people that are coming in from all over the country we just launched this like two three months ago and it’s really like yeah we can produce we can bring health and also help people to produce wealth. I’m telling you the greatest way that you can start a business and grow without so much investment is direct sales. Direct sales teaches you a whole lot of things, teaches you to be a business person without you having to like put so much money and do the work yourself. So we’ve already done the work and we also try to people that like, you know, people like him that, you know, you see the buff and you’re like, wow, you know, so, so I’m like, you know, take the COVID light, you know, you can use it as a workout drink and we can actually private label it to you.

(Speaker 8)
So we’ve already done all the work to produce this great products. People are private labeling it to their companies and you know, so it’s, it’s really amazing. So I think it’s time for you to give the American people wealth and health.

(Speaker 4)
So this is true. Make America healthy again. Now, real quick, real quick, I just want to be clear. Dr. Stella, to quote, you see a guy like him when you say, wow. That’s the quote. So what we’re going to do is, if that has any interest to you, Tyler’s here, Stella’s here.

(Speaker 4)
I say this because some people are like, I’m not interested in that.

(Speaker 8)
Some people are.

(Speaker 4)
All I’m trying to do is fill the room with opportunities and then you decide. That’s how I approach the business, by the way, is let’s fill the room with like balloons and then pop the ones out that don’t make sense to you. But I want you to know what exists and who’s here just so you kind of have that opportunity. And then Charles, He and his wife, they’re just a great resource of knowledge. They’re kind. They’re consistent.

(Speaker 2)
They’re diligent. And they’re going to be here during lunch. I just think it’s a great opportunity to connect with these guys. You don’t get a lot of times to sit down with somebody who’s where you want to be and ask them how they got there. So it’s a powerful success story that you’ll be here.

(Speaker 8)
Yeah, I’m here. I’m here all today. OK, so just grab me in between. and ask I’ve been working with clay for eight years and objectively I mean I’ve pushed back on about half the stuff he says and the more that actually do it the faster the company grows so I’m University educated and he’s like oh you want to talk to me what did you say when I said I got an MBA and I’m sorry for you So he’s like, well, that basically university makes you dumb. And he just says, and he starts talking about all the stuff and all these different businesses. And I shadowed a couple of times, and I just was blown away at how well he teaches practical things that actually get traction, as opposed to theory and terminology that’s very, you know, University And I’m in a meeting with one of my clients, Paul Solins.

(Speaker 4)
Paul, can you come up here real quick here? We’ll just bring up Paul.

(Speaker 56)
Bring up Jamie.

(Speaker 8)
Okay, we don’t steal Jamie’s thunder.

(Speaker 4)
Bring up Paul.

(Speaker 49)
So Paul built the waterfall out there.

(Speaker 4)
That’s the waterfall, Paul. Waterfall, Paul. Waterfall, Paul. What it do, it’s the waterfall, Paul. Okay, there you go.

(Speaker 66)
So he’s out there building the waterfall.

(Speaker 72)
Paul does all the landscaping, he does the trees.

(Speaker 4)
And we’re talking, I’m like, so, you know, big wins of the week.

(Speaker 12)
How you doing, what’s going on? And Paul’s like, my wife has cancer. You remember that? Yeah. And I don’t know how to respond because I’m like, you know, workflows and spreadsheets and systems and processes and we don’t have a whole lot on our agenda today. about overcoming cancer that’s on the third day which is I don’t know what to do with that sometimes you know I mean it’s like an audible and then what what was going through your mind when you found out your wife was battling cancer had cancer the devil has a very I’ve been following Jesus for, I don’t know, 25 plus years.

(Speaker 12)
I worked for a church for 12, and I’ve always heard the saying that says the mind is a devil’s playground, especially when you hit situations like this. It’s kind of something where your mind will automatically go to the worst thing, you know? Everybody thinks cancer is death. I mean, I don’t know how many times I had people walk up to me and go, yeah, my grandma, she had this, this, this, and she died. She lived a horrible death. So that’s what it’s singularly, I mean, that’s what everybody goes to, right?

(Speaker 12)
Cancer is that. Don’t get me wrong, cancer sucks. snow around about it, going through it. But that was the things that were going through my head. It’s like, I’m running a business.

(Speaker 4)
I’m running two businesses. I’ve got, you know, all my kids are out of the house. But, you know, this is the love of my life. We’ve been married 27 years. And it’s like, what’s going on? And I just remember, you know, there’s I have like one gift that God’s given everyone a gift.

(Speaker 4)
One of my gifts is just connecting people. You know, so I do that a lot. And so I remember Paul’s like, you know, my wife, you know, she really wants to when she beats this, she wants to share how she beat it. you know, she wants to share. That’s her desire. I’m going, well, she has to beat it then.

(Speaker 4)
And so we would, but I mean, your wife is battling cancer and you guys did it together. And I told, I told your wife, I told you, I said, you know, once she beats the cancer, we’re going to let her speak and share that story. Cause there’s somebody here, you’re going through that and all this stuff we’re learning might be technical and that’s good, but we, we, someone’s emotionally, you’re kind of, that’s where you’re at right now. You’re like, I want to be successful, but I’m just got this thing going on. I’m dealing with over here, and it’s in the background, and it’s pretty heavy. And so I wanted to bring up a pause so you can know this is the man married, is the man married to Jamie, and Jamie is a woman who’s overcame cancer, but she’s also an entrepreneur.

(Speaker 4)
And then she thought, well, I’m going to grow this successful business. She’s doing that. She has cancer. But even amidst the cancer, she’s like, what if I could provide some products for people that are also battling cancer?

(Speaker 3)
So it’s like instead of just getting bitter, she’s like, I’m going to make a product that can help out people that are battling cancer.

(Speaker 47)
It’s a fabulous story.

(Speaker 4)
And I think you need to hear about it. And I think the world needs to hear about it. And so if you guys could stand to your feet and greet and welcome my good friend and now yours, Jamie Sullins up here to the mic. Jamie Sullins, come on up here, Jamie. Yeah. All right.

(Speaker 4)
I’m going to kick myself out of here. We’re leaving. Charles, you’re leaving. Dr. Stella’s leaving. And then Claystairs, you’re taking over after.

(Speaker 33)
And you guys have a full 20 minutes, so until 1055.

(Speaker 8)
And then Claystairs is going to come up, kind of shift the energy, talk about hiring folks, OK? And then we’re going to get ready for Eric Trump and the whole thing, OK? So the next person you’ll hear from will be Claystairs at about 1056, OK?

(Speaker 13)
So Jamie, floor’s yours.

(Speaker 5)
Welcome.

(Speaker 1)
Good to see you. Paul, I’m leaving. I’m going to go over here. OK. OK. Here we go.

(Speaker 1)
Do a switcheroo. I like the red, white, and blue one better anyway. So I wanna start out sharing with you today and inviting you to think of a time when everything in life was going right. Hopefully you’ve already experienced a time like that. Perhaps it was in the past, maybe it’s right now. Maybe your business is flourishing, your kids are all behaving, and everything in life is going well.

(Speaker 1)
If you haven’t experienced that yet, I want you to set in your mind and envision that time with me. in life is going good. Because for my husband, Paul, and myself, that was the beginning of last year in 2024. Paul had been working with Clay for quite some time with his landscaping business. He had just acquired a new pool cleaning business and some property. He was doing some commercial realty.

(Speaker 1)
My business was flourishing. I am in network marketing. Now, first of all, Paul tried to get me up here as a client to see Clay for a long time. And I was that person that my business is different. This isn’t going to work for my business because I’m in network marketing. It’s not going to work.

(Speaker 1)
Well, he finally convinced me to get up here. And I had been working with Andrew for quite some time on my Cincy business, jamiejosellswax . com, if you need some Cincy products. And Andrew had been guiding me through some different ways to run my business, and it really was the kick in the butt that I needed to grow the momentum of my business. Everything was going well. And then on March 19th, last year of 2024, Paul and I were having lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant, Las Parias in Catoosa, and my phone rang.

(Speaker 1)
And I knew the phone number. It was the phone number of my doctor. So I stepped outside as he was paying the bill, I answered the phone, and I heard the words that nobody wants to hear. Jamie, you have breast cancer, and it is a punch in your gut. Because I knew life as I knew it was changing. That day, it had already changed just by picking up that phone.

(Speaker 1)
And I knew that lot of things were going to go in different directions. Now while I was on that phone call she said you have one day to choose a doctor. You have a very aggressive cancer. It’s very invasive and you need to act quickly. So I need you today to choose a doctor and let me know who that is tomorrow.

(Speaker 1)
Choose a doctor. I mean I’m in the world of Google. You can’t really Google cancer doctor Tulsa. It’s really not going to help you. So I had just trusted what my primary care physician had recommended. I said, OK, let’s just go with the first doctor that you mentioned.

(Speaker 1)
So I told her to go ahead and make that call, that referral. Now, I’m a little impatient. I’m not a little impatient. I’m very impatient. And I was scared. And I was getting an appointment as soon as possible.

(Speaker 1)
So I went ahead and called that doctor and said, hey, My primary has made a referral, but I want to go ahead and get on your books. So they started the questions they always start with, name, address, phone number. And then the inevitable question when you’re in a medical profession, medical situation, is what is your insurance? And I said, well, I don’t have traditional insurance because I’m self -employed and so is my husband. And she said, oh, honey, we don’t take charity cases. The exact words out of her mouth.

(Speaker 1)
I thought, surely I misheard that, right? I said, I’m sorry, what did you say? And very clearly, she said again, we don’t take charity cases. I said, I’m not a charity case, I pay my bills. And she just stood on it. So of course, I’m in tears because I’m mad.

(Speaker 1)
because that’s what happens when I get mad, I cry. So that was happening, and I called my primary care again and explained the situation. Now, a lot of things happened in the middle, but I eventually ended up going with suggestion number two from her. And honestly, I think God was looking out for me. Because that second doctor that she referred me to, we’re like this now. I go in for doctor’s appointments, but it’s not like a doctor -patient situation.

(Speaker 1)
We just sit around and chat and laugh and have a great time. And I know that he was the doctor that God wanted me to visit. So that was my first opportunity to really think about my perspective on this whole journey. And I’ve had a lot of opportunities to really focus on perspective. Now, let me tell you, Cancer treatment, chemotherapy, it’s not all rainbows and butterflies. I know my God is a good God, but this past year was some bullshit.

(Speaker 1)
And there’s no other way to say it. So the first situation that I encountered was choosing my treatment plan. Was I going to go with traditional treatment or was I going to go with holistic treatment? Now, I knew with traditional treatment, chemotherapy and radiation, the side effects were awful, terrible, and even long -term. But I also knew that the cure rate for my type of cancer with traditional treatment was pretty good. They could all but promise me that I would be healthy after that treatment, but what would that treatment do to me?

(Speaker 1)
That was the question in my head. Now, I knew that there was holistic treatment out there. There were other things that I could be doing, and we began to research that. I knew I could stay healthy through treatment, but it also meant that I would probably temporarily be moving to Arizona. By the way, Arizona is the only state in the United States that is a right to try state, which means they are able to do treatments that are not FDA approved. So I was looking at temporarily moving to Arizona.

(Speaker 1)
The problem is I am super tied into my community and I am like the most outgoing, outgoing person there is. And I knew if I had to move to a hotel or an Airbnb in Arizona where I knew no one, that it would not be good for my mental health. And mental health, is super important when you’re dealing with something like cancer. It’s important all the time, but if you want to be healed, you have to be in a good headspace. And I was afraid that if I left and moved, I would not be in a good headspace. Also, I had this fear.

(Speaker 1)
There’s no proof that holistic treatment is going to work. I know there’s no proof because Big Pharma’s not gonna pay for the proof, right? But I didn’t have that testing to prove to me that it would work. So in the back of my mind, I did have this fear What if it doesn’t work? I began to pray for guidance and wisdom, and I knew that he would provide it for me. And thankfully, he provided that wisdom very quickly.

(Speaker 1)
I had a vision one day. Now, nothing kooky. It wasn’t like lights shining down from heaven. It was almost like a daydream. And in that daydream or that vision, whatever you want to call it, I saw myself sitting in a chair in a hospital, plugged into a machine with bags of drugs, medicine hanging down.

(Speaker 1)
But what I saw was a ball of light going through that tube of medicine and into my body. And I saw that ball of light coursing through my veins. And I heard the words, I’m in the chemo. I knew it was the wisdom I needed. I knew I needed to go with traditional treatment and I knew that my God would protect me from all the nastiness that could happen through that traditional treatment. So we did decide to go with traditional treatment, but I did.

(Speaker 1)
really an integrative treatment. I did find a naturopathic doctor here in Jenks that was super helpful. I changed all my nutrition. I changed my skin care. I changed all the products in my house. So I was doing a lot of the holistic things that I had already read about on all these websites in Arizona, but also doing the traditional treatment here.

(Speaker 1)
God had really given me clarity. Now, let’s talk about all the opportunities that I had to really focus on perspective. Now, I could be really pissed that I had to pump my body full of poison. That’s one way my brain could have gone down. But you know what? I found joy in the benefits of that poison.

(Speaker 1)
Wait. Benefits of the poison. Yeah. I see some of your faces like, what? Guys, I didn’t get a single bug bite. The whole time I was in chemo, it was like mosquitoes would hover over my skin and they’d be like, we don’t want her.

(Speaker 1)
We’re out. So I could be mad that I was pumping my body full of poison, but I chose to be happy that I didn’t have a single bug bite for an entire year. year. That, friends, is perspective. Now, I could be mad that my love of food was stomped on. I am a foodie and I take joy and delight in a good meal, but chemo had a different plan.

(Speaker 1)
Of course, we probably all heard about the nausea, the throwing up, Acid reflux is terrible. I got sores all in my mouth. But here’s the thing. That was an opportunity for my community to come together. And my community did that in a big way. I have a couple friends that have already gone through cancer treatment, and they were giving me all the tips and tricks.

(Speaker 1)
My favorite one was a toothbrush that one of my friends sent me. I swear this toothbrush was made from the fur of baby rabbits. I never would have known that a toothbrush like this existed, but thankfully to my friend Cassie, she sent me one and said, I know your mouth hurts, because I’ve been there. Here’s a toothbrush. Little things like that became very, very important to me. Now, I could be really angry that I lost out on a lot of vacations that were already planned. Vacationing and traveling is my love language.

(Speaker 1)
We’ve heard a lot of times up here, what recharges you? Travel recharges me. And we already had four trips planned for the year of 2024. One of those was a completely all -expense -paid trip to Hawaii that I had busted my rear to earn with Cincy. So I could be really mad that I had to cancel all those vacations. And guys, for the life of me, while I was making notes for this speech, I was trying to find a good spin on that.

(Speaker 1)
And I couldn’t. That part really hurt. I missed out on a lot of really good trips. But there were other times that I was able to have a really positive perspective in really terrible times. For any of the parents out there, do you guys remember the book Alexander and the Terrible, Awful, Very Good, No Bad Day? Have you ever read that book?

(Speaker 1)
I used to be a kindergarten teacher, and that was one of my favorite books to read. It’s a book about this kid that’s just having the worst day of his life, as he thinks in kindergarten. I had a couple days like that, that were probably the worst days of my life. I couldn’t get out of bed, I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t do anything. I couldn’t even pray on those days, an actual real prayer, because I didn’t know what to ask for. But on those days, I would just close my eyes and say the name Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, over and over in my head.

(Speaker 1)
And on those days, that’s when he met me the most. I would picture myself curled up in his lap, just like I used to curl up in my daddy’s lap. And on those days, I had the most amazing comfort. So I could be mad that it was my terrible, no good, very bad day. But I choose to find gratefulness in the growing of my relationship with Jesus Christ. Now, let’s talk about hair loss.

(Speaker 1)
That’s something everyone knows about through chemo, right? Now, first let me say, I had some amazing hair before chemo. It was not crazy. It was not this color. I had bright purple hair, and it was usually in a mohawk. It was super fun.

(Speaker 1)
My hair was my personality, and I lost it. And that was really hard. I see him trying to, oh, there’s a picture of my fun hair, yeah. So I tried everything to still claim my style with my hair loss. I tried different hats. Fun fact, hats don’t fit right when you don’t have hair.

(Speaker 1)
All my hats that I had were like sized for my head with a bunch of hair, and they didn’t fit anymore. So I tried ball caps. Not really my style, but I tried them anyway. And that little metal ball that’s on the top of the ball cap, man, that hurt my head. So ball caps were completely out. I tried wigs.

(Speaker 1)
But often I would look in the mirror and just laugh like I was playing dress -up with my daughter or something. It just wasn’t me. I tried scarves and they would slip and slide on my head. Again, was I like an extra on the Pirates of Caribbean or I didn’t really know like what to do with them. I knew beanies were the way to go. And so I ordered a couple and let me tell you the ones that I got were awful. First of all, they looked like they were made for an 80 -year -old woman with no style.

(Speaker 1)
I’m in my 40s and I like fashion, so those weren’t working for me. The ones that I did find that were cute, they were terrible quality. So I got to thinking, I can do better. I can do better. And I experienced something, maybe some other people in the audience know what this is. It’s called procraftination.

(Speaker 1)
That’s one of my coping mechanisms is procraftination. Instead of doing the things I know I need to do, I go to my sewing machine or to my craft closet or whatever. So I knew that getting behind my sewing machine might be a little therapeutic during this time. I grabbed some fabrics from the local fabric store and I went to town to figure out what I could wear on my head that was both cute and comfortable and created this. This is called Comfort Beanie. Now, you’ll notice, not a pattern that you would see an 80 -year -old woman wearing.

(Speaker 1)
I have fun patterns, fun prints. And I got a little obsessive about these beanies that I was making. And I began wearing them to all my treatments, to the clinic, to all this stuff. And everyone started asking me where I was getting them. And I would say, I made it myself. And I would see their face go, because they wanted one.

(Speaker 1)
They were in the same boat that I was in. They couldn’t find anything that was cute and comfortable. And so I got to thinking, OK, do I have a business here? But I’m in the middle of treatment. I don’t have time to start a business. Well, maybe this should be a charity thing.

(Speaker 1)
Maybe it’s a non -profit. Maybe I should just start making these and donating them to the cancer clinics. Because the cancer clinics do have beanies hanging on this little tree thing. But bless their hearts, they’re made by those 80 -year -old women, and they’re itchy, and they’re Ugly and I wasn’t gonna wear them and I knew there were other people at the cancer clinics in my same boat They wanted to look cute and they wanted it to be comfortable. But I guys I was in the middle of cancer treatment I can’t start a nonprofit. I can’t start a new business.

(Speaker 1)
What was I thinking? Again that prayer thing. I started praying to God. What what do you have for me? What is this and the answer wasn’t overnight like it was in the earlier situation, but over time, I realized that I had both.

(Speaker 1)
It was a business and a charity. So you guys can see on the screen, this is Comfort Beanie. It launched two weeks ago, a brand new business. Thank you. And I’m really excited to say it is both a business and a charity because every time someone purchases a beanie, that funds the donation of a beanie to an area cancer clinic or hospital as well. So I am doing both of those things.

(Speaker 1)
So I could focus on the fact that I lost my hair, but I am praising God that he gave me the answer to my situation and a way that I can help tons of other people that might be in the same situation. Now, I do want to kind of wrap up as I’m talking with you guys today about something that I’ve really learned over this past year as I was reading my Bible. You know, the Bible isn’t just a storybook of made -up people. It’s a book of real people that went through real situations. And what I hope that you are able to do as you open the word and read it is see yourself in some of the characters of the Bible and see how their tenacity, how their perspective can encourage you in whatever situation you’re going through. I found great delight when I read about the story of Joseph.

(Speaker 1)
And that really became my cornerstone through my treatment. Now, I know most of you in this room are believers, and you probably know the story of Joseph, but I’m gonna give you a quick little Cliff Notes version. So Joseph was this dude, and he had lots and lots of brothers. but he was the favorite brother. Now already I find a connection with him because my daddy always said that I was his favorite youngest daughter. So I knew I was the favorite.

(Speaker 1)
Now, Joseph’s dad loved him so much that he designed for him a coat of many colors, is what a lot of translations say. Again, this is my dude. This guy loves to be bright and colorful, and he loves to stand out, as do I. So, I knew Joseph and I were going to be tight already at the first of the story. But as the story goes, his brothers are really jealous of him. They want to kill him, but they decide, eh, let’s make a little money instead. sell him off to some people that are traveling through, and he becomes Potiphar’s servant.

(Speaker 1)
Now, that seems pretty good. Really crappy situation, sold off into slavery, but he becomes the head servant of a really important guy. Now, Potiphar’s wife gets this little story in her head that she gonna make a move, and it goes really bad again. really bad and he actually gets thrown into prison. So, again, I thought my treatment was gonna be really good and then I heard we don’t take charity cases. So, you know, you see the good, the bad, the good, the bad in Joseph’s story as I saw in mine.

(Speaker 1)
Now, while Joseph was in prison, he had the opportunity to decipher some dreams of the pharaoh and I’m trying to take like a giant long story and make it really short, so bear with me. He did interpret that dream. He knew the dream was about famine that was going to happen in the land, and Pharaoh put him in charge of the whole project of setting food aside. The famine did happen, and those brothers that sold him into slavery came back begging him for food. Now they didn’t know it was him because he’d been away from them for so long.

(Speaker 1)
Joseph was able to save an entire generation, an entire group of people through what God had placed him through. Now here’s the important part of the story that I really want you to think of. If he would not have been sold into slavery, he wouldn’t be there. If he had not been falsely accused by Potiphar’s wife, he would not have had this opportunity. If he had never been in prison, if he had never deciphered the dream, there’s all these things that play into his story that sound terrible, and they were terrible, just like cancer was terrible. But if all of those things hadn’t have happened to Joseph, he would not have been in the position to save thousands and thousands of people.

(Speaker 1)
Now, I’m not here to say a head beanie is going to save thousands and thousands of people, but I rest in the delight that I can bring comfort and joy in a really dark and awful time. So while my story isn’t identical to Joseph’s, It helps me to find that perspective, to know that God can make beautiful things out of the ashes of a terrible situation. Guys, I hope tragedy never strikes you. I hope you never get that call that I got standing outside of that Mexican restaurant. But if it does, if tragedy does strike, if things do go really bad, I just want to invite you to always think of a positive perspective and look for God winks all through that situation because he never left me and he will not leave you no matter the situation.

(Speaker 1)
What voice are you going to listen to? Are you going to listen to the voice of negativity and the voice of fear, or are you gonna listen to the goodness that God has for you? Make sure that you’re listening to the right things. God can use you. I don’t care who you are. God can use you, and God will use you if you ask him to.

(Speaker 3)
Guys, thank you so much for letting me share my story.

(Speaker 71)
Thank you.

(Speaker 31)
Now, since we are at a business conference, Since I did just launch a brand new business, I will be outside at a table, and I do have some comfort beanies with me here today.

(Speaker 3)
You can purchase those, or you can sponsor a beanie to someone that is going through treatment right now. And I would love to see you out at my table and have a conversation about that, guys. Thank you so much. I was going to say, I’ll keep talking. I will keep talking. Hey, let’s hear it again for Jamie, all right?

(Speaker 3)
Fantastic. Great story. Boom, okay, I’m on, great. Yeah, Jamie and I were talking yesterday, and she was saying, yeah, I’m gonna talk, I’m putting down my notes because I only have a certain amount of time, and I’m going, hun, you’re talking to another speaker, I promise you, you ain’t gonna fall asleep. of your notes. You’re just going to start talking.

(Speaker 3)
And she’s going, no, I promise. So great job. Great job. And at that point, I had no idea that I was going to be coming up next. Yeah, so my name is Clay Stairs. I’m Clay the Elder, okay?

(Speaker 31)
Clay the Lesser, Clay the Wiser.

(Speaker 45)
I don’t know, pick one of those that you want.

(Speaker 3)
But I want to talk a little bit here before we take a break and our next session comes in.

(Speaker 32)
I want to talk about finding good people.

(Speaker 50)
Anybody in that spot?

(Speaker 3)
Right now, raise your hand if you’re in that spot. Okay, keep your hands up, keep your hands up. Look around, okay, raise your hand if you’re looking. Right, Jan? Keep it up. Look around because I want you to be encouraged.

(Speaker 60)
You’re not alone.

(Speaker 3)
Okay? I mean, how many of you guys, when you’re looking for good folks, you’re going, man, am I the only one that can’t find the right people? Do you know what I’m talking about?

(Speaker 70)
Yeah.

(Speaker 3)
So we want to talk a little bit about how do we find good people and how do we hold on to good people? OK, so I’m going to give you four steps on this that we’re going to walk through. And then I also want to see, hopefully, we’ll be able to get to this process, because I want to talk about the group interview and kind of how that process works, the system that we use to filter through a lot of folks. Is that OK? Is everybody cool with that? How many of you guys have ever hired somebody and then went, oh, no?

(Speaker 3)
Have you ever hired somebody in a hurry, hired somebody under pressure? Yeah. How many of you guys have been in this spot? You know you want to get rid of someone. In fact, it would bring you great joy to get rid of people. In fact, you would almost pay them just to leave.

(Speaker 28)
As a matter of fact, I’ll even pay you for a little while longer if you just don’t come to work.

(Speaker 3)
You know, you guys know what I’m talking about, okay? Well, what we want to do here in the next 15, 20 minutes, we want to give you a system, we want to give you some steps on how to never be in that situation again. Is that good? Is that a good thing? How do we never get held hostage by our employees, because I can’t fire them because I don’t have anybody to replace them with?

(Speaker 3)
Or how about this, I can’t fire them because I don’t know what they do. How about that? That’s always a good time. We’re going to go ahead and fire you, but for the next two weeks, we really would like you to write down everything you do. You know, that’s a bad spot to be in. So we don’t want to be in that spot.

(Speaker 32)
We want to be able to stay at pace.

(Speaker 3)
How many of you guys have figured out just from yesterday and today that a lot of success is really about being intentional? Have you guys seen that separation as we’ve been, we’ve even used the word a lot. And most humans are not intentional. Most humans fall into a category. Again, it doesn’t mean they’re wrong or bad. It just means when you’re not intentional, life is more difficult.

(Speaker 3)
You have more issues when we’re not intentional. What is it? Casualness leads to casualties.

(Speaker 36)
And the next thing you know, life is really hard.

(Speaker 3)
You know, I’m talking to my 25 -year -old. It’s like, oh, honey, you’ve got a long way to go. They’re like making us work like four days a week.

(Speaker 48)
We’ve got to go into the office.

(Speaker 13)
It’s like, yeah, it’s called work.

(Speaker 3)
Come on here. Here we go, Claire. You know? And my other daughter at one point was going, man, they want me to work 33 hours a week. It’s called full time. Here we go.

(Speaker 3)
Come on. Come on. Catch up. Catch up. Catch up. Because they’ve been in school.

(Speaker 3)
Does that make sense? So there’s just a big difference in pace between the academic world and the modern world. a big difference There’s a huge difference between being an employee and being an owner in the company. There’s a big pace difference I remember talking with one of my clients I was okay talk to me about an ideal client for you or an ideal an ideal employee He’s gonna okay clay the person I’m looking for. They’re a self starter. They’re energetic.

(Speaker 53)
They show up before work.

(Speaker 3)
They stay after hours They stay on task It’s like, OK, stop. You’re defining an entrepreneur, OK? You’re not going to find another business owner to work for you, OK? Because they’re tired of working for people. They want to do their own thing. So we need to make sure that we understand who we are looking for.

(Speaker 3)
I promise you, you’re not just looking for a human, right? OK? You’re not just looking for a human. You’re looking for a particular type of human.

(Speaker 39)
But chances are very good that many of us have not taken the time to actually write down the characteristics of the human that we’re looking for.

(Speaker 3)
OK? So that’s going to be number one. Everybody say, C. Ah, that sucked. C. OK, very good. Not you sucked. That sucked.

(Speaker 3)
OK? I just don’t want to offend anybody. How are you doing, Marie? It’s good to see you. I’m Clay. It looked like she got mad at me there.

(Speaker 3)
Sorry about that. But OK, so the first step starts with C. And these notes are not in your book. I’m going off track here, OK? We’re four -wheeling. So if you want to put this on page 0 or at the very end of the book, you can. But the first step starts with C. It’s core values, OK?

(Speaker 12)
Core values.

(Speaker 3)
What are the core values of your company? I promise right now, whether you have written them down or not, you have core values. There are certain values that you are running your company by. The important thing is, is that you actually write them down. So you are intentional. The word’s intentional.

(Speaker 3)
So you are, that’s kind of good.

(Speaker 38)
You are, we want to be intentional, so we need to write these things down.

(Speaker 3)
So what do we want to be? So close. Let’s try it again. Do you want to be? Very good. That’s great.

(Speaker 3)
That is really good. Remember, we’re Americans, the Iranian told us, OK? We’re Americans, so it’s intentional. Very good. We don’t want Iran to be like, beat us on this, OK? First one is core values.

(Speaker 3)
So the idea right now is if you have never written down your core values, I encourage you to do that right now. One, two, three, four, probably stop around four. Don’t come up with 12. No one will remember them. Four can even be difficult. But try to come up with four core values that help you make decisions.

(Speaker 3)
The type of person that you’re looking for has these four values. In my company, the leadership initiative, and I am a business coach just like Clay is, and I do pretty much the same thing that Clay does. I only do it through the leadership initiative, which is my company. We have four core values. It’s production. It’s energetic.

(Speaker 3)
Why? Because I’m energetic, and I don’t want to be with people that have low energy.

(Speaker 39)
Production, I want to have a core value that is connected to getting things done.

(Speaker 3)
Another thing is team. I want people that have actually been on a team before, OK? I was a head coach for 15 years, spent a lot of time in sports in high school and in college. But yeah, right here, these are my core values. And final one is personal growth. How many of you guys have found that the employees that you do hire, they actually need to grow a little bit?

(Speaker 3)
Anybody been there? Raise your hand if you know what I’m talking about. OK, again, keep your hands up. Don’t do this. Raise your hand.

(Speaker 69)
And the reason why I’m asking you to raise your hand

(Speaker 3)
is because I want other people to know that they’re not alone. So again, personal growth. I know that everybody that I hire, they’re going to need to grow. So I want them to already be familiar with personal growth. Does that make sense? So these are my four key values.

(Speaker 3)
I have posters up in my office. My office is back here in the back. I’ve got posters up. But this is key. So the first letter starts with C. And what does it stand for? So that’s step one, core value.

(Speaker 3)
Step number two is L. Everybody say L. L, you’ve got to look at a lot, OK? We’ve got to look at a lot of people. Clay was saying, I think, yesterday, he was talking about it’s almost like he’s got to get through 50 people. You remember hearing that yesterday? He’s got to get through 50 people to find that one that can actually fit in the company. The numbers have changed over the years.

(Speaker 3)
So we got to look at a lot. So we need to make sure that we have some type of system in place that allows us to look at a lot in a short amount of time. The alternative is this.

(Speaker 31)
I’m sure nobody in here knows what I’m talking about.

(Speaker 3)
But other people, other business owners out there, here’s what goes on. Very common. We put out a job ad. We’re looking for work. And then we get in a bunch of resumes. I don’t know, 10, 15, 20, 30, 50 resumes.

(Speaker 3)
And then that night, we’re sitting at home. Looking at resumes. Anybody know what I’m talking about? You with me? OK. And we’re working it.

(Speaker 3)
We’re using every part of our brain. Is this the one? They misspelled a word. No. Is this the one? And we’re trying to use some kind of outer body experience to determine from written stuff if these people are the ones or not.

(Speaker 3)
Anybody know what I’m talking about? And then what we do is we kind of work down that list to maybe three or four. right? And we get in touch with them, and we set up an appointment for them to come in. Now I’m getting ready to do an interview, so I can’t do what I normally do during the day because I’m doing the interview. So I block out time, and then 11 o ‘clock comes up, and they don’t show up, you know?

(Speaker 3)
And like, oh, screws the day. Anybody know what I’m talking about? We want to get rid of that. We want to get rid of relying on other people that we don’t know to show up for an appointment. And the way we do that is the group interview. We do the group interview, which is the first step that we have.

(Speaker 3)
We do the job post, and then we do that weekly group interview. That way, if they don’t show up, it’s OK. We do our group interviews on Tuesdays at 5 .30. That way, at 531, if nobody’s there, I’m in the car, I’m going home. I’m not sitting around waiting. Does that make sense?

(Speaker 3)
And it’s very common. It’s at 530, somebody walks in the door, and from here to the door, I’m going, ain’t no way I’m hiring that person.

(Speaker 18)
How many of you guys know that can happen?

(Speaker 68)
Clay, it sounds like you’re judging.

(Speaker 3)
Yes. Yes, I am. You’re not supposed to be judgmental. I’m sorry, OK? What I’m doing is filtering, OK? Does that make sense?

(Speaker 3)
All right, so you’ve got to look at a lot, so you’ve got to have a system that allows you to look at a lot. That’s why we don’t do resumes. And Sean, I think I’ve got on there the stat. What’s the percentage of people that lie? According to Inc. Magazine, it’s 85%.

(Speaker 3)
Are you kidding me? The percentage of humans that lie on resumes is 85%. So why even read them at this point? I don’t read resumes until much later on in the process. Everybody and anybody, come on in. Come on in.

(Speaker 3)
come on in, we’ll look at you. Most humans won’t show up, even though they will text you on the way to the interview, I’m on my way, I’ll be there in a minute, and they never show. Something happened, I don’t know, a car blew up or something, you know, something went on. But so we got to look at a lot, so we have to have a system that allows us to look at a lot of people really quickly. And we need to be doing that every week. So when people come into the interview, we are looking for the next step.

(Speaker 3)
The next step starts with an A. Everybody say A. A. Everybody go with A. Very good. That’s kind of lame, but we’ll go with it, all right? It starts with an A, and it is alignment. We are looking for alignment. What do you think we are looking for alignment on? Thank you very much.

(Speaker 3)
The core values. Because if there is alignment at the very beginning, then I don’t have to worry about teaching and training those core values because they already get it. Does that make sense? And since I’m looking for alignment, then what do you think my questions are at the very beginning of the interview after I found out what their name is and what they’ve been doing? What am I thinking of?

(Speaker 44)
I’m thinking of my core values.

(Speaker 3)
So I just say, here at my company, our core values, number one, is production. How many of you guys have ever been in a job where you really had to produce something? And most humans will raise their hand. Some don’t. And the ones that don’t, I’m OK with that. I’m not going to call them out.

(Speaker 3)
I’m not going to send them out. I’m just going to go, probably not you. Does that make sense? You’re calling as you go along.

(Speaker 56)
Other people will say, yes, I’ve been in a job. Cool.

(Speaker 3)
What’s your name, sir?

(Speaker 67)
J .

(Speaker 49)
R.

(Speaker 3)
, J . R. , if you were to say, have you ever been in a job that required production? I’d go, J . R. , tell me about what that was.

(Speaker 3)
You know, and J . R. is going to go, well, one time, you know, I had this sales job. Woo! And I’m going, ooh, sales job.

(Speaker 3)
This is good. Did you make phone calls? Yes. Hey, cool. How many phone calls? We had to make like five phone calls a month.

(Speaker 3)
And in my head, I’m going, I’m getting ready to ask you to do 100 calls a day.

(Speaker 30)
So I want to ask just a little question there and find out what kind of production has that been.

(Speaker 3)
Does that make sense? Whatever your core value is, you want to ask questions around those core values. What has been your experience? Tell me about what that experience was. When was a time when you had to use that core value? Tell me about a time when you had to do that core value, but it was really hard to do that core value?

(Speaker 3)
Those are great questions to be asking, okay? So I’ve got pretty much four things that I ask questions on in there. Clay, what Clay will do in his interviews, and this is just completely up to your personality, Clay will bring people in and just go, stand up, tell me who you are, where you’re from, what you do. They’ll stand up. He goes, thank you very much. Does anybody have any questions?

(Speaker 3)
OK, no questions. Y ‘all have a great evening. And what Clay will do is he talks about, he kind of gets into their head and figures out if they’re good or not and gets back out. Yeah, not you. And I can’t train that, you know, that discernment and stuff. That’s tough to train, you know.

(Speaker 3)
So what I do is I actually just get people talking. I get people talking because what is it? Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. So if I can just get them talking, and what do I want them to talk about? Core values. I want them to talk about my core values.

(Speaker 3)
I’m not really interested in your values. I want you to align with my values, okay? So we got the C. What does the C stand for? More values, the L, we gotta look at a little bit more. So we got to have a system. And when we’re looking, what is it that we’re looking for?

(Speaker 3)
Alignment, OK? Alignment. And what are we wanting them to align with? Our core values. So we have to have our core values written down so people can see them. As you look around the office here, you find out really quickly what Clay’s core values are.

(Speaker 3)
You don’t have to go, hmm, I wonder what he’s all about. It’s just kind of fuzzy. If only it could be clearer, all right? I remember when Clay started writing on the walls. We were down at Riverwalk. And Clay started writing on the walls the day after I introduced him to one of my clients, because I brought in one of my clients that I was struggling with.

(Speaker 3)
And this guy came in, and immediately he was griping and complaining. Soon after that, I got rid of that client. But Clay came up, because I wanted Clay to help me straighten him out. I’m bringing him in. I’m bringing in the big guns. Clay comes up, introduces him to, Clay goes, I’m Clay Clark.

(Speaker 3)
And this guy, I mean, he doesn’t even say his name. He goes, well, there’s just too much noise in here. I can barely hear you, and I couldn’t find the place. Clay literally, you got to love this, I’m there to have Clay help me fix him. Clay goes, I don’t like you at all, and I know you’re going to hate me. So this is over, and turns and walks away.

(Speaker 3)
OK, so let’s talk.

(Speaker 55)
I mean, it was a bad situation.

(Speaker 3)
We’d run together for about a month, and that was about all I wanted to do, all right? But yeah, so we’ve got to have our core values. We want to look at a lot. We’ve got to find alignment with those core values. And then finally is Y, OK? Did anybody already figure out where I was going with the four letters?

(Speaker 3)
You may have. Very clever, very clever. I see what you’re doing there, yeah. So the last one is Y, and then I had to reach for this one, OK? I had to go into my family’s heritage.

(Speaker 66)
I had to go all the way back to Ireland and Scotland to find the Gaelic and do some deciphering.

(Speaker 3)
And it really wasn’t that big of a deal, OK? But there is a word in Gaelic called yeo. Everybody say yeo. Yeah, yeo. It means river. So what we have to do is create a river, OK?

(Speaker 3)
We have to create a river of potential people coming into our company so we can flush out the Dead Sea, okay?

(Speaker 60)
A river of life to flush out the Dead Sea.

(Speaker 3)
And that’s why we want to do this every single week, all right? We don’t do it because we need to hire. We do it because we know in the future we will need to hire. Does that make sense? Okay, a lot of times, again, People are great, probably great Americans. But how many of you guys found out that people, a lot of times, are like a carton of milk?

(Speaker 3)
Awesome at the beginning, but they have an expiration date. Huh? Awesome. Man, this person is great.

(Speaker 61)
And then all of a sudden, mm, mm, they kind of smell funny, you know?

(Speaker 3)
Mm, this is interesting.

(Speaker 48)
I haven’t done that before.

(Speaker 3)
And then all of a sudden, it’s like, oh, my lord, this is going bad, you know?

(Speaker 49)
This thing’s turned type of thing.

(Speaker 3)
Okay. So again, it doesn’t mean that people are bad. It just means that people are people and I can fight that. And I want people to not be people. I want them to be good forever.

(Speaker 65)
It’s like, well, you’re probably on the wrong planet.

(Speaker 3)
All right. So that’s why we want to have this system. So once again, four steps, the first one starts with a C and it is core values. If you have not read down your two, three, four, five, maybe core values.

(Speaker 40)
All right.

(Speaker 3)
Then you are behind so far. All right. You’re the student in class like I was that sat there and stared at the teacher, but never did process any information. Okay. Being a high school teacher for 15 years happened all the time. Any questions?

(Speaker 3)
no hands went up that completely let me know nobody processed anything because I just went over the integumentary system and went over all of these different things of how the and there was wasn’t a single question that’s because nobody’s processing so I questions mean you’re processing questions mean you’re thinking and if there are no questions then it means there may be stuff coming out of my mouth that you’re going I agree I agree I agree but I’m not processing is that fair enough So I just want to make sure you take a moment while you’re here to write down 2, 3, 4 of your core values. Please don’t think that if you write them down, these are now the end stone. You may be on your way home and go, I’m going to get rid of that one and put in a new one. Totally fine. You may write down 3 or 4 and then look at them and go, those all kind of mean the same thing, you know? So you go in and change.

(Speaker 3)
That’s totally fine. And in another two years, your values may change. That’s fine too. Change them. Put up a new poster, all right? So, everybody okay with how to look?

(Speaker 3)
How do we find people? Four steps. C -L -A -Y. Okay, we got through that. And they’re not coming to get me yet, so I get to keep talking. Okay, so, next of all, let’s take a look.

(Speaker 3)
Sean, let’s go to the funnel. Going to the funnel.

(Speaker 57)
So, I want to talk about these steps, okay?

(Speaker 3)
First of all, weekly job ads, okay? Weekly job ads. We got Joe Burby up here with Cheesehead Construction, all right? Go ahead and stand up there for a second, Joe. Joe Burby. Cheesehead Constructions up in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

(Speaker 3)
That’s where we got the cheesehead. And yeah. So Joe has been through this process before of putting together the weekly job ad. Thank you, Joe. And the idea here is, in the job ad, there’s nothing magical about the job ad. But what do you think are four things for me, what do you think are four things that I want to put right at the beginning of the job ad?

(Speaker 3)
Core values, say it again.

(Speaker 64)
I want to make sure right at the beginning I put my core values.

(Speaker 3)
Because if somebody looks at those core values and goes, ooh, I don’t like that, I’m not going to apply for that job, I’ve already filtered.

(Speaker 63)
OK?

(Speaker 3)
So I want to encourage you to have those early on in your job ad, have your core values. Here at our company, this is what we value. We’re looking for people that value these things. And then you can get into, here’s what the job is, here’s what the job pays, and so on. Does that make sense? You want to make sure you have that in your job ad.

(Speaker 3)
And you see, he’s come up here now. So in winding up, all right, so what we do with the job ad, we then invite people to come to a group interview.

(Speaker 62)
People, when they respond to the job ad, I’m interested.

(Speaker 3)
Fantastic. Hey, I looked at your email or I looked at your resume. You look like you’d be a great candidate. We’d like to see you Tuesday at 5 .30.

(Speaker 44)
OK?

(Speaker 61)
Did I look at the resume?

(Speaker 3)
No.

(Speaker 22)
But I want them to know, hey, come on to the meeting at 5 .30.

(Speaker 3)
And then, You don’t have to, unless you want to, tell them it’s a group interview. You can if you want. No reason that you have to. But then when they come to the group interview, that is the next step. Anybody in the group interview that you like, that you have a little connection with, they were actually able to stand up straight. They were able to actually look you in the eye.

(Speaker 3)
I mean, you guys know what it is. right? I mean, you’ve had conversations with humans before where you’re going, and now. Or somebody else, you’re going, hey, I really kind of like this person. Those people you invite to the next step, which we have here, which is the shadowing, where you’re actually bringing them in and spending a little bit of time, two hours, three hours, four hours, however long you want them to come. Sean, when he was working for me back here, Sean, I think, came in for a 12 -hour shadowing, starting at 6 in the morning.

(Speaker 3)
Woo. All right.

(Speaker 40)
Great filter on that one.

(Speaker 3)
OK. Do we pay him? Do we not pay him? I’ll leave that up to you. But we do the shadowing, because you want to know if they, like Clay was talking about the foot shuffler, you know?

(Speaker 60)
So you want to know, I’m going to move from here to here.

(Speaker 59)
Can they keep up with me?

(Speaker 3)
Because I’m moving at pace.

(Speaker 4)
Hey, can you sometimes, hey, can you go run and go get this for me? And how long does it take them?

(Speaker 47)
Can they just do those basic things?

(Speaker 3)
And then if you like them in that shadowing experience, then we go to the next thing where we actually do this next step, which is a personal interview, where now I’m going to sit down and maybe ask them a few questions. And while I’m doing that, I’m also able to get rid of my C players, OK? So I’m able to flush out the dead C and bring in the river of life. Everybody with me? First letter is C. What does it stand for? Very good.

(Speaker 3)
L. A. And why? Very good, which means river. Fantastic. Did that go okay? Anybody pick that up? You guys okay?

(Speaker 3)
Beautiful. Thank you very much.

(Speaker 4)
Okay, we got a lot of stuff.

(Speaker 59)
We’re going to fire through here.

(Speaker 8)
We do have a lot of stuff. Clay Stairs, once again, is my name. Give me a review, all right?

(Speaker 3)
Give me a review.

(Speaker 4)
I’d love to get a review from you guys. If you want one from me, come and let’s talk for a little bit. Got a lot of things to go over real quick here with you, 90 miles an hour. I’m going to bring up Amanda Grace to continue to work as our Vanna White.

(Speaker 14)
We don’t have Vanna White.

(Speaker 4)
We have something better.

(Speaker 45)
We have Amanda Grace.

(Speaker 4)
Amanda Grace, she’s in the prophetic space, and she’s also incredible at coming up here and serving as our Vanna White. Amanda, we need you up here. Amanda Grace, anybody who’s Amanda Grace. If you’re Amanda Grace, we need you. Anybody who’s Amanda Grace, if you’re from New York. There she is.

(Speaker 4)
Miss America. Let’s get her on the cordless mic. Amanda, I’m gonna send you over that way on the cordless mic. You can take mine. OK, great. All right.

(Speaker 4)
So we’re gonna go 90 miles now. I got a lot of stuff to go over here in the next 33 minutes. OK, so that wasn’t like a Freemason. Do we have an eraser? It was just how much time we have left. So 33.

(Speaker 4)
But anyway, we’ll say 32 minutes left. OK. So people are like, oh, the symbolism, man. It’s hilarious when I go look up myself online sometimes and I see all the things.

(Speaker 58)
People are like, I paused his hands and he said 33 minutes.

(Speaker 8)
And what he really meant was, I’m not that complicated.

(Speaker 57)
OK, so.

(Speaker 8)
To praise and worship us tonight, Colton Dixon is on his way here. How many of you know who Colton Dixon is? Who does not know who Colton Dixon is? I have a Colton Dixon commercial. Okay, so let’s pull out of YouTube real quick, and let’s go look up Build A Boat Live. Colton has been a client, and you say, what do I do?

(Speaker 8)
Just so you know, again, in my mind, there’s always three things going on, three things, and there probably shouldn’t be, but there’s three. I’m always writing songs, and I’m always writing books. And I’m always writing, you know, business plans.

(Speaker 4)
That’s kind of what I’m doing. And so Colton is one of the artists I’ve worked with. And Colton is a guy who, you know, he hadn’t really thought about the formula with which songs are made to the extent that the patterns. And we were able to work together, and Colton’s done some great stuff. And I just want you to know who he is, because I think it’s worth you sticking around to watch him. But let’s watch Colton Dixon live from the Opry.

(Speaker 4)
Let’s hit play on that one. This is Colton. He’ll be here. Crank it up. Maybe skip through a little bit. Sean and I used to have hair like that, but we changed it on Tuesday.

(Speaker 4)
Both of us had the same hair. Crank it up, Sean. You’ll be here tonight at 6 .30, opening for Amanda Grace. And then Pastor Jackson will be here tonight, 6 .30. I’ll be here, don’t let that keep you from being here. Amanda Grace, Colton Dixon.

(Speaker 4)
Now, I wanna make sure you get this idea. You know, if you’re a music artist, you’re gonna need a website, right? I think you guys know the story. Have you guys heard about the workflow? Have we talked about it yet? Scene in marketing, right?

(Speaker 4)
So you’ve got to reach out to songwriters, because that’s how you get songs on the radio. You’ve got to reach out to songwriters who write songs that are in the top 40. You’ve got to reach out to them. You’ve got to make a Dream 100. So here’s the marketing plan. You’ve got to reach out to songwriters, Dream 100, OK?

(Speaker 4)
You’re going to have to perform and get reviews, people to write critical reviews about your music. It’s the same, by the way. All right, so you got to do that, right? You have a three -legged marketing stool. You got to go on tour with other people. So that’s your three -legged marketing stool.

(Speaker 4)
You Dream 100 to songwriters. You reach out to folks to tour with them. And then you make sure that you’re consistently gathered reviews. Then when people connect with you, you’ve got to actually do a good job. You’ve got to call your leads. In his case, he has to perform.

(Speaker 4)
So he comes here today and tonight to perform. He’s going to do a great job. And I can do all the marketing in the world, but if he doesn’t do a great job, you’ll go, that’s not good.

(Speaker 37)
But he’s great.

(Speaker 10)
And he’s humble.

(Speaker 4)
He’s my perfect, I love humble, confident.

(Speaker 56)
Do we have Invincible here?

(Speaker 16)
Is Vince here?

(Speaker 4)
Is Vince here? Is he sneaking away? Vince, come ring up here. This is my favorite guy. I love this guy, Vince. Let’s hear it for Vince.

(Speaker 4)
Invincible. Yeah, he’s the guy who hangs out with Kay. This guy, and I don’t have him up here just because he’s a beautiful man, but he’s kind of our stunt double in the office here. He’s humble, he’s confident, he’s a great guy. Let me get him on the mic real quick. This is kind of the prototype of who I like to work with here.

(Speaker 4)
Vince, here you go. Tell everybody what you do. What do you do, Vince? I own a luxury photo booth company in Sarasota, Florida, Nashville, Chicago, and West Palm Beach. Yeah, and so when you’re going through, whether you’re a songwriter or, in your case, what would you say you do again?

(Speaker 8)
You do a…

(Speaker 55)
Luxury photo booths.

(Speaker 14)
Yeah, but it’s the same thing.

(Speaker 4)
I hope you’re getting this idea.

(Speaker 54)
Being a songwriter and being a luxury photo booth, they’re the same industry.

(Speaker 4)
glass replacement, same industry, okay? So you have this workflow, and once we got Colton the workflow that made sense, this kind of stuff kept happening, you know? Because you just gotta get a workflow, you gotta get a flow, you gotta get a system so you can stay in that flow state. Flow state is where you lose track of space and time because you’re so engaged in something. That’s what flow state means. You lose track of space and time.

(Speaker 4)
One of you guys yesterday, I don’t know if it was true or you were just being nice or flattery, whatever it was, one of you said, I had a great time yesterday, but like I forgot that it was like a two -day thing. It was I mean, I normally I hate business conferences, but I liked it and I go that is that’s the goal. Hopefully that’s good, but we want to be a flow state right flow states. You want to create a system where you don’t get bogged down and stuff that stupid stuff. And so again, we want to master this workflow and then Amanda Gray. will be here tonight, Jackson Laumeyer tonight, Colton Dixon tonight.

(Speaker 4)
It’s going to happen tonight.

(Speaker 10)
Amanda, what’s the question on the board? Question on the board. What do you got? As a grassroots organization, how do we bridge into mainstream markets? That’s a good idea for you. I don’t know.

(Speaker 4)
You want to look him up? Maybe you do, maybe you don’t. But I’m just saying, you don’t really want to go there. But what Amanda has done is she has brought God onto a relevant platform called YouTube, and she reaches people. But she doesn’t change her standards to accommodate what YouTube standards are. But as far as mainstream, I don’t think anybody in this room is mainstream.

(Speaker 4)
I don’t think you guys are. I think you think, and you have a very critical thinking skill set, you guys. When I meet you guys, you all are sort of aware of what is happening. And so most people are not really truth -seeking to that level. You, with your business, you’re growing this business, and you just want to know what is the most effective way to grow it. I mean, what is it that you’re trying to do with your business?

(Speaker 4)
Can you articulate what you’re trying to do? Yeah, I’m eventually going to be franchising. I think Clay talked me into it a while back. But really, I mean, trying to get to every city in the nation, right, the biggest cities. So Miami is one of them, the Tampa area, Orlando, Boston. So we’re just trying to grow the cities.

(Speaker 8)
And we just keep going and going and going.

(Speaker 11)
So the mainstream, if you’re going to franchise, is you have to write what’s called an item.

(Speaker 4)
You have to write a franchise document. document. It’s a franchise disclosure document. There’s 23 core points of a franchise disclosure document. Somehow an attorney will charge you $100 ,000 to tell you what I’m telling you now. But it’s a franchise disclosure document.

(Speaker 4)
And there’s a thing called an item 19. And an item 19 is just a statement of financial performance. And then once you have an item 19 that’s viable, then what you do is you work with franchise brokers. They’re brokers, but they call themselves coaches, which is weird because they’re brokers, but they call themselves coaches because you can’t a broker in that industry, but they are, but they’re coaches. But anyway, so you meet these guys and you talk to them and then they, you pay them money to tell people that your franchise is great. And they go, yeah, based upon how much money I get paid, I mean, you’d be a great fit to buy a Domino’s, and that’s how that whole industry works.

(Speaker 4)
That’s a franchise system, and I can walk you through that. Mainstream music, how do you do that? You gotta work with mainstream songwriters. That’s how you do that. So we can help you do that, but I would just say, don’t lose the part of you that’s not mainstream as you’re doing that, if that makes any sense at all. Okay, next question.

(Speaker 4)
How do you maximize promotion efforts with a small group? How do you maximize promotion efforts with a small group? I would just say, I’ll go to you to one up me on this, I’ll just say this first, is most people who are here today, we’ll go to church, we might watch a movie, we might go to a game, and it’s hard for us to keep track of the game. and what’s going on over here, and what’s on our phone, right? So it’s like you’re at the game, the baseball game, you’re on a date, and it’s like, with your wife or your girlfriend, it’s hard to keep track of what she’s saying, who’s on first base, and then what’s going on on Instagram. And so I would just say no matter what you’re doing, you wanna focus.

(Speaker 4)
And focus means focus on core tasks until success.

(Speaker 16)
So as an example, Sean, if you pull up a Thrive Time show on Jinx, A Thrive Time Show and Jinks, you’ll find our map there. And clearly, we’re not at the Riverwalk, but Google continues to think we are. the Riverwalk, which is a fascinating thing, because Andrew’s done contacts and calls with Google, and they move our map here, and then it goes back. And so I have to focus on that core task until success.

(Speaker 10)
So I keep talking to Google. It’s a fun conversation. They want us to prove that we’re here. We provide proof. And then it just goes back, and it’s interesting. We’ve had multiple clients who are here.

(Speaker 10)
Your maps always are moving to the wrong location.

(Speaker 53)
But I have to just keep focusing on it over and over and over until it gets done.

(Speaker 4)
And that’s the process. And I think if you’re perpetually distracted, that’s a problem. So you want to just focus. So what is the purpose of what you’re doing? And just focus on it over and over until it happens. So it’s a large group, small group, whatever it is, just continually hammer the same thing.

(Speaker 4)
With your photo booth business, as you’re trying to gain traction, as you have gained traction, as you’re gaining market share, what are some of the things you have to do repetitively, those focus tasks that are getting traction for you? Well, you know, Andrew has really helped me with this. Obviously, the reviews. He tells me that I am a Google review getting company that happens to do upscale photo booths. Amen. And that really helped.

(Speaker 40)
I tell the guys that when we have our meetings.

(Speaker 4)
And that gives them motivated, too, to understand that if they want to keep their job, to be honest, that they have to get these reviews. Even the interviews, we do them at the location. So when we have an event, we do interviews with cameras in people’s faces. Because we have hundreds of people with us that can give us reviews. So that is a move that Andrew has taught me. Focusing.

(Speaker 4)
So I’m going to attempt to do that here. If you pull up our map, if you pull up our Google map, and you leave a review, that would be great. I could tell you that, and some of you will go, OK, I’ll do it. Some of you are like, I’ll think about it. Some people won’t do it. And all I can do is mention it as it is.

(Speaker 4)
you to do it, say, it’d be really great if you didn’t make it, say, I will cry a lot if you don’t. Or maybe I could say, if you did, it’d make me feel good. Or maybe I could say, if you don’t leave a review, that would, I don’t know what angle, but I need to talk about it. and then probably talk about it a couple more times, and then someone’s like, I can’t find it. And then someone will tell me, because it just happened again. Someone’s like, you know your map says you’re at Riverwalk?

(Speaker 8)
I’m like, oh, I know.

(Speaker 11)
And I’ve even talked about it, I think, three times this weekend.

(Speaker 4)
But I’ll talk about it again. And so it’s a thing where you’ve got to bring it up, and then bring it up again, and bring it up again. Or tonight, we have praise and worship, that praise and worship with the man of grace. I think I’ve mentioned it four times, and I keep a tally here. I’ll tell you again, that’ll be five. But it’s going to be tonight at 630.

(Speaker 4)
But yet, somebody will come to me later today and say, when is that tonight? Is it here? And I’ll go, yeah. And they’ll go, wait, you know, Is it here? Is Colton Dixon going to be here? Yeah.

(Speaker 4)
When’s Amanda Grace coming? 6 .30. And we’ll keep talking about it. There’s no bad students, there’s just bad teachers. And a lot of times bad teachers or communicators were not repetitive enough in communicating until people get it. Does that make sense?

(Speaker 4)
Amanda, next question. Is there a way to legally revoke your voluntary federal tax filings so you don’t have to pay federal taxes? Well, I’m going to say these thoughts and ideas and things.

(Speaker 35)
I, me, just me, you don’t have to agree with me. I have zero, zero desire to do anything clever with the IRS.

(Speaker 4)
Me, personally.

(Speaker 30)
So I want to, me, you’re sick, it’s fine.

(Speaker 23)
But I’m going to pay more taxes than I should. When in doubt, I overpay because I don’t want tax problems.

(Speaker 5)
Me, personally.

(Speaker 4)
So if I ever have an employee that screws me over, which happens about every two weeks just to keep it fresh, but someone will turn in hours for hours they didn’t work on their final day of work.

(Speaker 8)
Their final day, they’ll go, I worked 48 hours last week, my final week, worked 48 hours.

(Speaker 52)
I don’t think he worked 36.

(Speaker 4)
I’ll go ahead, I’ll say, why don’t I just pay you for 60 so we can move on? Here’s a little bonus, because I’m not gonna spend my day in stupid conversations. If you’re here today, I find that 9 out of 10 business owners that I talk to, and Josh come up here real quick here, they will come to me and go, here’s the deal. I am about three to seven years behind in my taxes. I’m not kidding. Three to seven years behind in my taxes, on average.

(Speaker 4)
Three years, and they’ll go, and my tax advisor told me this and that, but now I switched to a new one, and I’m behind, and now the IRS is on me. And I always wanted you to know that not to be your story. So I want to have a proactive approach to your accounting. And if you have a desire to minimize your federal taxes in a way that’s legal or ethical or whatever that means, find an advisor that you can trust. I don’t ever want to be the one who steers you towards owing a bunch of money to the IRS. Any thoughts about this?

(Speaker 4)
I know you’re from Canada, but… Yeah, no.

(Speaker 8)
Not filing is not the answer, guys.

(Speaker 52)
Not filing is not the answer.

(Speaker 23)
You establish your risk with your professional, and then your professional will walk you through the path that’s kind of consistent with your risk tolerance.

(Speaker 35)
Can I tell you a story about a guy named Carl?

(Speaker 23)
True story.

(Speaker 5)
It’s always Carl.

(Speaker 4)
Carl’s a name I use a lot, but Carl, it’s a real true story. Carl says to me, Clay, he used to DJ for me, hey, do you have my tax records from like 2006, 5, 4 -ish? And I go, Carl, it is now the year 2020. I have not owned that company in 13 years. Why? He’s like, they got me. I’m like, who’s they?

(Speaker 4)
He’s like, well, the IRS. I haven’t paid taxes since 2007. And I, you know, you were my last person I had paid taxes, and so I’m trying to, I’m like, you haven’t worked for me for 15 years. And he’s like, well, I didn’t pay, and now I, and I’ll just say, I don’t want to be in that conversation.

(Speaker 5)
I’m like, Carl.

(Speaker 11)
This is a fascinating story and I don’t want to have the story.

(Speaker 4)
I don’t have your tax records from 2000. And all of a sudden, my wife and I are scrambling together documents for a guy who hasn’t worked for us for 15 years. I’m just saying, I just, whatever, whoever you’re working with, please find a professional that you can trust. Any other things you want to add to that? Yeah, I mean, we’ve seen people come to us that haven’t filed in a decade. That happens.

(Speaker 4)
That’s sweet. It’s a bit of a project, but… know a lot of times there’s a path forward okay all right next Dealing with family who work for you. Yeah, and again, I just interviewed David Green. You can pull up on the screen.

(Speaker 8)
David Green does a masterful job articulating this, but I’m summarizing a great interview and just a 30 -second little clip. His whole thing is if you’re gonna have family work for you, hold them to a higher standard than everybody else. So if you say, hey, my son’s gonna work for me and everyone needs to be here at 7 a . m. in the morning, make him get there at 6 .30. Or if everybody has to get their deadline done by Friday, make theirs Thursday.

(Speaker 8)
Like, make their demands or expectations so much harder or higher than everybody else’s. And Eric will talk about that, actually, but Eric’s father was just an unrelenting machine of follow -up and accountability, so Eric was able to take over the Trump Organization, but his father pushed him and held him accountable to a standard that is far higher than everybody else. And by default, you will want to make it easier on them and give them a hall pass because they’re related, which creates a toxic culture. Okay, next. What to do for health insurance when you have a young family? Well, I do have health insurance.

(Speaker 8)
I recommend that you buy health insurance. I don’t have something I recommend that I’m saying, well, that’s exciting. Anybody here pay for health insurance? I don’t think it’s exciting.

(Speaker 4)
I don’t have a pro tip. I want to tell you I have a good solution. I have a company that I use, and I don’t like it. I haven’t been to the doctor for 20 years, I don’t think. I never do checkups. One day, I’m just going to die.

(Speaker 4)
You know, like, you need to get your colon tested, get whatever. Oh, no, I’m not going to. I’m just going to be, one day, I’ll be up dead. You’ll go, there it was. He didn’t go. I don’t go.

(Speaker 4)
I hate the doctors. All of them. I don’t want to go. And even the people I meet who are on the reawakened tour, I’m skeptical because they’re doctors. I’m like, I don’t know about you people.

(Speaker 8)
Because I don’t want to get on a pill.

(Speaker 4)
I don’t want to get on a new thing.

(Speaker 49)
I don’t want to have to make a list of things I need to eat every day.

(Speaker 51)
I don’t want to have, like, a thing I’m carrying around where I keep track of what I’m taking.

(Speaker 4)
I don’t think I want to do that. I don’t sleep, which is why I look like Yoda and I’m 44. I get it. But I just say, I don’t, but again, health care, once you’re self -employed, you need to go find a broker you can trust and just compare, right? And find somebody and just deal with it, because you want to have a bad day and not a bad life. So you want to have enough insurance so when bad things happen, you have a bad day and not a bad life.

(Speaker 4)
So my wife and I, you know, we had a miscarriage. That wasn’t awesome. You know, there’s things that happen. My daughter, one of my daughters, Leah. Is Leah here?

(Speaker 42)
Leah had this incredible way to injure herself in catastrophic ways.

(Speaker 14)
She mastered the art of massive injuries for about a year. She, like, riding her bike, and somehow she rode her bike into something and then ripped her lip in half. And I’m like, oh, snap. Vanessa sends me a photo, and I’m like, what happened? So we send her to Dr. Whitlock, and I’m like, oh, man, that was wild. And then, like, we had just recovered, and she’s like, cute dog, cute dog.

(Speaker 14)
Pet the cute dog. Dog bites her eyelid.

(Speaker 4)
Eyelid.

(Speaker 3)
Eyelid.

(Speaker 34)
Like, just, eh.

(Speaker 3)
So she’s like a kid without an eyelid.

(Speaker 47)
And so we had to get a hold of the doctor, and they did, and I’m like, stop it.

(Speaker 8)
Just stop.

(Speaker 39)
Just put a, put a, Cover her in bubble wrap, keep her inside, have her wear a helmet, you know, but health insurance.

(Speaker 35)
You want to have health insurance because bad things will happen, right?

(Speaker 36)
So you have a bad day, not a bad life.

(Speaker 37)
That’s the pro tip.

(Speaker 8)
Have a bad day, not a bad life. The bad day is the day you buy the health insurance.

(Speaker 50)
The bad life is the life you have if you don’t have insurance.

(Speaker 49)
Okay, next.

(Speaker 8)
Yeah.

(Speaker 14)
Okay.

(Speaker 49)
Number one, marketing.

(Speaker 11)
We get leads.

(Speaker 4)
Number two, sales. Close leads and collect money. Is this a question? I think this is a question. Is this correct? Maybe it’s a rap lyric.

(Speaker 4)
This would have been when you asked me to take notes. Oh, okay. I haven’t trained her. No problem.

(Speaker 48)
Okay.

(Speaker 3)
No problem.

(Speaker 47)
You’re doing great.

(Speaker 8)
Next question.

(Speaker 4)
Next question. You’re good. Yep. You’re good. Feel the flow. Work in it.

(Speaker 4)
Pay the quarter. Ride the carousel. Okay. Here you go. How do we create the 4ES and AP culture? The four E’s in P culture.

(Speaker 4)
Well, I’ll go first, but first off is Vince is the prototype

(Speaker 3)
okay?

(Speaker 23)
So you wanna, if you have bad clients, you have a bad life.

(Speaker 16)
Bad clients, bad life. So I have a haircut chain, we cut thousands of haircuts per month. I just don’t want weird clients in there, you know what I mean? So I do fire toxic clients, usually once or twice a week. So I’m not kidding, it’s not like a thing I’m saying. We have a client that comes in and we say, your money’s no good here, we don’t want you back.

(Speaker 4)
Okay. And then they’ll say, well, I’ll go on social media and tell everybody I know, like, well, I want you to, because the people that you know are also people that I don’t like. Right. I’m being real.

(Speaker 8)
That’s why people like come to my conference. How can you possibly say these things?

(Speaker 35)
I’m like, well, for 20 consecutive years, I’ve been saying the same thing.

(Speaker 4)
So anybody who’s offended by these things is not here. Okay, so you gotta make sure that you have clients you wanna work with, okay? And that’s why working with me, it’s a little bit more of like a, I don’t know, like a tryout for me to see if I’m a good fit and you, and we work through it.

(Speaker 8)
And that’s the idea, okay?

(Speaker 4)
So we wanna make sure we, and then you wanna hire people the same way, right? You wanna hire people that would fit into your culture. Sometimes you need to just hire anybody to do the job until you can upgrade to a better person. But the constant process of interviewing people is where you’re gonna find good people, and then just have good people Look for people with the four E’s, good energy, edge, execute, energize, and then passion. Look for those, look for those people. Josh, have you ever had someone working for you when you’re accounting for them early on where you’re like, man, this guy, he really is not my favorite, but I have to have him here.

(Speaker 4)
Cause now you have a great team, but when you’re starting out, did you ever have a guy where you’re going, this guy, not my favorite, but I gotta have him. I think it was always until we started the group interview process that you’d always have one person who wasn’t, you know, ranging from, Irritates you to you know, you know ineffective But you really always have those people on your team until you have a scalable way to get good people all the time Vince you ever have an employee working for you anything in yourself, man Absolutely, yeah. Actually, we’re going through the process of it right now. I can’t let someone go because we have jobs. We’re in season at this point.

(Speaker 4)
So Andrew’s really hitting me hard on getting Indeed and doing the group interviews. So I’m working really hard at that right now. I remember when Aaron Antus, who’s not here tonight, said, Aaron, if they’re going to do a lockdown in Tulsa, we need to sue the mayor of Tulsa. If there’s a lockdown in Tulsa, I’m going to sue the mayor of Tulsa. Who’s with me? And Aaron’s like, I’m down.

(Speaker 4)
And we go, okay, what’s got one? That’s good, okay. Who’s with me? And I’m thinking there’ll be a lot of people. Steve Currington’s like, I’m down. I’m like, that’s great, we got three of us.

(Speaker 4)
So we got three. And then I’m like, who’s with me? And Jimmy Hand, may he rest in peace. He’s like, I’m down, there are four of us, okay. And I’m like, who’s with me?

(Speaker 8)
And Z’s like, I’m in.

(Speaker 4)
So we got Dr. Zellner, there’s like five of us. Yeah, so we got a good group here. And we were just wanting to sue the city, not for money, but just saying we’re an injunction so you don’t have to wear masks. or you don’t have to do lockdowns. And the city of Tulsa would not hear the case because of COVID, which was their response, their official response is, we cannot hear your case until we get through COVID. So the COVID procedures have to, the health mandates supersede that, so we can’t hear your argument in court until we get through COVID.

(Speaker 4)
And so I thought, okay, and you mentioned it, Ryan, but I’m like, okay, we’re gonna do then, if all the churches are closed, because I talk, I know most of the megachurch pastors in Tulsa. And so I called them all and I’m like, hey, Browtown, sir, With all due respect, I think sometimes we over -respect pastors. I do think that happens too much. I think sometimes we delegate our thinking to people that aren’t thinking. So I said, hey, with all due respect, sir, pastor guy, hey, models are false. PCR tests are false.

(Speaker 4)
Treatments are real. And a lot of the pastors said, well, but yeah, but the giving is the same.

(Speaker 11)
and where there’s this thing called paycheck protection that’s coming in, and it could allow us to pay off the church. And I probably, of the 10 megachurch pastors I met in town, probably eight, I think I maybe said that, seven of them, you know, like, and they were telling me, because the money’s still good, why would we stay open? And I’m like, that’s Hebrews 10, 25, it says, don’t forsake the gathering, even as we draw closer to the end. And so, I just told Aaron, we’re just gonna turn my building into a church, and then Ryan, you came, and Sean Foyt was there, and we had, we started having like, These weekly rallies on Thursdays and at a certain point there was like hundreds But that first one there was like one guy and I don’t think that one guy had really had a job for several decades And he’s like amen brother.

(Speaker 3)
I agree with you and you know the whole JFK thing There are things that we don’t know and the moon doesn’t know And Michelle, are you, are you, come on, let’s be real, Michelle, come on, you know, you know, and I know, we know, the moon, no, no, so you, amen, brother, and I’m like, I don’t know if this is my guy here, but he’s here, and he’s like, all right, man, I’m off the grid, baby, and I’m like, where do you work?

(Speaker 28)
I ain’t gonna tell you.

(Speaker 46)
Okay, what’s your name?

(Speaker 4)
I ain’t gonna tell you my slave name. My slave name? Social Security number? I don’t have my own name.

(Speaker 3)
I’m like, you like Prince?

(Speaker 16)
You change your name into a symbol?

(Speaker 45)
Absolutely.

(Speaker 11)
I’m like, well, this guy’s like a Civil War kind of personality, but he’s in the woods, and he sort of looks like he could be on Duck Dynasty, and he knows a lot about various things.

(Speaker 4)
I ain’t paid taxes in 20 years. I’m like, well, I haven’t had a job in 20 years either. So the interesting thing, But I’m like, we got him, he’s our guy. Well, there were times we started seeing more and more people, more and more folks that had jobs and kind of built, but you have to start with something. And sometimes the person you’re starting with is kind of like a Gilligan. You ever seen Gilligan’s Island?

(Speaker 4)
Sometimes you got a Gilligan and you just gotta go with it. So just don’t over -spiritualize this, just hire who’s required, okay? But then hold out the ideal to hire the bright people, okay? Next question there, next question. I do full -time missions and I’ve organized and emceed a lot of events leading me to do weddings for friends.

(Speaker 4)
They’ve always recommended doing a business. How would you recommend I start?

(Speaker 8)
A business related to weddings? Is that the question? Yes. Wedding photography is a cash cow. I love that thing. It’s a lot of stress though.

(Speaker 8)
You end up with like chronic diarrhea if you do it too much.

(Speaker 4)
Who’s done wedding photography? I did it for 20 years.

(Speaker 3)
You know what I’m saying?

(Speaker 8)
Yeah.

(Speaker 4)
So what I did with our team is I said, hey, we’re going to do wedding photography. I told that story.

(Speaker 8)
But I’m like, hey, we’re going to over deliver.

(Speaker 4)
So we promised the bride one photographer. We’re going to give them two. we promised two, we’re gonna give them three. So that way you spray and pray, that’s my phrase. Spray and pray, just spray, just take tons of shots, and hopefully something good’s there, and then you’re just backing up all your photos, you’re backing up the drives, you’re backing that up, because we had a 1 % error rate, which sounds like, oh, that’s good. 1 % of the time, we messed up your wedding photos.

(Speaker 4)
So I’m on the phone talking to the bride, like, hey, you know, your wedding, yeah, hey, hey, Hey, and everyone’s name is different now. Now everyone’s name is like, it’s like Madison. Everyone’s Madison. It used to be Ashley’s and Amanda’s.

(Speaker 10)
Now we’ve shifted into like a Madison or a Hamilton, you know, calling the bride. Is this Hamilton? Is it the groom? Is it the bride? I don’t know.

(Speaker 16)
Hamilton, hi.

(Speaker 4)
Hamilton, yeah. How are you doing? Yeah, good. Well, so your photos here happened.

(Speaker 35)
How are you going to say it, you know?

(Speaker 4)
You know, so our photographer took the photos and he, the card, the card, there’s a corrupted technology, very crazy world, Bill Gates, I don’t know, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, Bill Gates, Microsoft, just, I don’t know, I want to, CERN, CERN, WWW, you know, the whole thing, I just, I’m sorry, just ranting about things, trying to not, we don’t have your photos, you know, for your wedding, but statistically, like half the people where we do it, I mean, in like five or 10 years, I’m just kidding, I didn’t say that. But you know what I’m saying? How do you communicate that idea? What do you do? Every week, I had to be the guy that called one bride, because there’s 100 weddings.

(Speaker 36)
Every week, in my soul, I’m like, I hate myself.

(Speaker 8)
Vanessa’s like, how are you? I’m like, I hate myself. And you talk to the photographer, how did you possibly mess it up? He’s like, I left the camera in the car over the weekend in the sun.

(Speaker 14)
I went up north for a while, forgot it, and you’re going, dude.

(Speaker 11)
You know what I’m talking about.

(Speaker 4)
Do you see any weird photographers in your world there, Vince? Any weirdos? Yeah, I still do. I mean, I still in the industry. So I see it all the time, being at events all the time. I mean, just the way they’re walking around, too.

(Speaker 4)
I mean, we’re different. We were different back then. So you’re in this wedding photography. You make money, but there’s a high risk there. Get a lot of insurance, OK? The minister thing, I don’t know if I feel good about that, you know, but there’s wedding ministers.

(Speaker 4)
That’s an issue.

(Speaker 13)
DJing, I don’t know, but that’s a way to make money.

(Speaker 11)
I did party rentals, tables, chairs, rentals.

(Speaker 4)
You make money with that. Chocolate fountains were hot for like four years. Now no one wants a chocolate fountain. Once they saw how much Crisco goes into that thing. But anyway. That also causes chronic diarrhea.

(Speaker 4)
But anyway, so… You can make money in the wedding industry. Next question. Next question. How do you keep your team’s to -dos and calendars up to date? It’s relentless follow -up.

(Speaker 4)
I mean, it’s constant follow -up. I’m just telling you, like, right now, what am I following up with my team? Just let my team know, hey, just so we’re clear, everyone has to go out this door, you know, for the break here. And I know I’ve told you guys, and you’re all smart, and I’m not trying to be condescending, but I have to communicate that, and then you have to communicate to me. But, you know, during the break there, I was talking to a gentleman, and he’s like, when’s Eric getting here and where do we go and I’m going I am a horrible communicator and I understand that I’ll work through it so it’s a constant relentless communication of that core idea until everybody knows okay so it’s just constant follow -up and there’s no easy button if you if you if you hate yourself get make a slack account that’s If you hate yourself, make a Monday .

(Speaker 4)
com account.

(Speaker 3)
If you really hate yourself, come up with some like AI follow -up tool, and it’s just gonna piss everybody off and nothing gets done.

(Speaker 44)
But it requires you following up with a person.

(Speaker 4)
That’s what follows, that’s how you, you have to follow up. You just have to follow up until it’s done. Follow up, follow up, follow up. Next question, one more. First step for a baby new business moving from the tech world to digital marketing got a market at first. We talked about that earlier.

(Speaker 4)
You got to start to get a market your business before you actually have the ability to fulfill. So you need to start your marketing activities to get to generate leads and then you figure out if people will actually pay you. That seems counterintuitive, but you need to generate marketing activities before you actually have a viable product. You have to marketing activities. Now we’re going to do here is it’s 1156. So there’s you can just write this down.

(Speaker 4)
down so I know that I’ve communicated that I can move on to another subject. One, if you could just jot this down, humor me. We’re going out that door, okay? That door. Because what’s going to happen is one of you, not you, but other people, like your husband who’s in the car right now, okay? He’s going to be like, hey guys, what’s going on?

(Speaker 35)
He walks in that front door and he’s going to get tackled.

(Speaker 8)
He’s going to be in zip ties.

(Speaker 41)
We’re going to be on the news.

(Speaker 4)
Channel 6, we’re breaking news.

(Speaker 8)
Guy gets attacked.

(Speaker 4)
Secret Service takes down a man at the rear.

(Speaker 22)
They want that story.

(Speaker 4)
They want it. So don’t be, I don’t know what happened, I was running around polishing my gun out front of your event and I got, don’t, no, stop. So just, everybody got that part? Cool. Second, if you could leave us, Sean if you could pull it up here, if you could leave us a review it’d be great. You might say, I hate him, I hate him.

(Speaker 43)
He, him, he, I hate him.

(Speaker 4)
I hate the whole thing, my husband dragged me here, my wife dragged me here and it was terrible and it took me to the bottom. That’s fair, you know why? Because it comes across as a sincere review. Okay, but don’t just give me like a five star. Just give me something. Just give me, you know, maybe it’s maybe I’m a two star kind of guy.

(Speaker 42)
I don’t know.

(Speaker 41)
Maybe I’m a one star kind of guy.

(Speaker 4)
Just if you leave us an objective review, that’d be very helpful. Third thing is we’re going to come back in the building. at one o ‘clock. And so I say we, that’s you and we’re coming in that door. Okay. That door right there.

(Speaker 4)
Not this door. Not so much this door, this door, not, not, not so much over here. More over here. Okay. Aaron Antus, guess who’s joining us for the December 4th and 5th, 2025 thrive time show business growth workshop.

(Speaker 34)
Ooh, Santa Claus?

(Speaker 40)
No, we will not be joined by Santa Claus, but we will be joined by Eric Trump, the son of the 45th and now 47th President of these United States.

(Speaker 39)
And yes, Amanda Grace will be in the place.

(Speaker 38)
And yes, Dr. Stella Manuel will be there so you know it will go well.

(Speaker 4)
Yes, we have Mel K in the house. Pastor Phil and Tammy Hotson -Piller will be hosting this event at their beautiful church right there in sunny Anaheim, California. Yes, folks, make this a December to remember. He’s French. Make this a December to remember and join us at the two -day interactive Business Growth Workshops. Trump as he was the 45th President of the United States and now the 47th President of the United States is Eric Trump. Eric Trump is here to talk about… time management, promoting from within, marketing, branding, quality control, sales systems, workflow design, workflow mapping, how to build. I mean, everything that you see, the Trump hotels, the Trump golf courses, all their products, the man who manages Billions of dollars of real estate and thousands of employees is here to teach us how to do it.

(Speaker 22)
You are talking about one of the greatest brands on the planet from a business standpoint. I mean, who else has been able to create a brand like the Trump brand?

(Speaker 13)
I mean, look at it.

(Speaker 4)
And this is the man behind the business for the last, pretty much since 2015. He’s been the man behind it, so you’re talking, we’re into nine, going into 10 years of him running it, and we get to tap into that knowledge. That’s gonna be amazing. Now, think about this for a second. Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

(Speaker 31)
German?

(Speaker 4)
Forget it, he’s rolling. and it’s $500 for a VIP ticket now we only have limited seating here with there’s a lot of togetherness and closeness camaraderie so again if you want to get tickets for this event all you have to do is go to thrive timeshow .

(Speaker 37)
com go to thrive timeshow .

(Speaker 4)
com when you go to thrive timeshow . com you’ll go there you’ll request a ticket boom. Or Or if you want to text me, if you want a little bit faster service, you say, I want you to call me right now. Just text my number. It’s my cell phone number, my personal cell phone number.

(Speaker 4)
We’ll keep that. private between you, between you, me, everybody. We’ll keep that private. And anybody, don’t share that with anybody except for everybody. That’s my private cell phone number. It’s 918 -851 -0102.

(Speaker 4)
918 -851 -0102. I know we have a lot of Spanish speaking people that attend these conferences. And so to be bilingually sensitive, my cell phone number is 918 -851 -0102. That is not actually bilingual. That’s just saying Juan for a Juan. It’s not the same thing.

(Speaker 4)
I think you’re attacking me. Now, let’s talk about this. Now, what kind of stuff will you learn at the Thrive Time Show workshop? So, Aaron, you’ve been to many of these over the past seven, eight years. So let’s talk about it. I’ll tee up the thing and then you tell me what you’re going to learn here.

(Speaker 4)
OK? OK. You’re going to learn marketing, marketing and branding. What are we going to learn about marketing and branding? Oh, yeah. We’re going to dive into, you know, so many people say, oh, you know, I got to get my brand known out there like the Trump brand.

(Speaker 4)
You want to get that brand out there. It’s like, how do I actually make people know what my business is? and make it a household name. You’re going to learn some intricacies of how you can do that. You’re going to learn sales. So many people struggle to sell something.

(Speaker 4)
This just in, your business will go to hell if you can’t sell. So we’re going to teach you sales. We’re going to teach you search engine optimization, how to come up top in the search engine results. We’re going to teach you how to manage people. Aaron, you have managed, no exaggeration, hundreds of people throughout your career and thousands of contractors. And most people struggle with managing people.

(Speaker 4)
Why does everybody have to learn how to manage people? Well, because first of all, people are, you either have great people or you have people who suck. So it could be a challenge, you know, learning how to work with a large group of people and get everybody pulling in the same direction can be a challenge. challenge. But if you have the right systems, you have the right processes, and you’re really good at selecting great ones. And we have a process we teach about how to find great people.

(Speaker 4)
When you start with the people who have a great attitude, they’re teachable. they’re driven, all of those things, then you can get those people all pulling in the same direction. So we’re going to teach you branding, marketing, sales, search engine optimization. We’re going to teach you accounting. We’re going to teach you personal finance, how to manage your finance. We’re going to teach you time management.

(Speaker 4)
How do you manage your time? How do you get more done during a typical day? How do you build an organization if you’re not organized? How do you do organization?

(Speaker 34)
How do you build an org chart?

(Speaker 4)
Everything that you need to know to start and grow a business will be taught during this two -day interactive business workshop. Now, let me tell you how the format is set up here. And again, folks, this is a two -day interactive 15. Think about this, folks. It’s two days. Each day, it starts at 7 AM, and it goes until 5 PM.

(Speaker 4)
So from 7 AM to 5 PM, two days. It’s a two -day interactive workshop. The way we do it is we do a 30 -minute teaching session, and then we break for 15 minutes for a question and answer session. So Aaron, what kind of great stuff stuff happens during that 15 minute question and answer session after every teaching session? I actually think it’s the best part about the workshops, because here’s what happens. I’ve been to lots of these things over the years, I’ve paid many thousands of dollars to go to them.

(Speaker 36)
And you go in there and they talk in vague generalities.

(Speaker 4)
And they’re constantly upselling you for something trying to get you to buy this thing or that thing or this program or this membership. And you don’t you leave not getting your very specific questions answered about your business or your employees or what you’re doing on your marketing. And what’s awesome about this is we literally answer every single question that any person asks. And it’s very specific to what your business is. And what we do is we we allow you as the attendee to write your questions on the

(Speaker 35)
whiteboard, and then we literally, as you mentioned, we answer every single question on the whiteboard, and then we take a 15 -minute break to stretch.

(Speaker 4)
And this is also your opportunity to meet some of the great speakers like Pastor Dave Scarlett.

(Speaker 28)
You could meet Mel K. You could meet Amanda Grace.

(Speaker 4)
You could meet Dr. Stella Emanuel. You could just grab a coffee.

(Speaker 34)
You could find some alone time. You could get lost in the bathroom.

(Speaker 29)
You could try to go and get a photo with one of the speakers.

(Speaker 4)
You could try to photobomb a photo where someone else is getting a photo with the speakers. You could go attempt to find your phone, wallet, and your keys. Now that’s a good idea.

(Speaker 33)
That means you have less than 3 % of our population that’s even self -employed.

(Speaker 4)
So you only have 3 out of every 100 people in America that are self -employed to begin with. And when Inc. Magazine reports that 96 % of businesses fail by default, By default, you have a one out of a thousand chance of succeeding in the game of business, but yet the average client that you and I work with, we can typically double this. I’m just no, no, no hyperbole, no exaggeration. I have thousands of testimonials to back this up. We have thousands of testimonials to back it up.

(Speaker 4)
But when you work with a home builder, when I work with a business owner, we can typically double the size of the company within 24 months. Yeah. Double. And you say double. Yeah. There’s businesses that we have tripled.

(Speaker 4)
There’s businesses we’ve grown eight X. There’s so many examples. see it thrive timeshow . com. But again, this is the most interactive best business workshop on the planet. This is objectively the highest rated and most reviewed business workshop on the planet. Add to that Eric Trump, the

(Speaker 3)
man that runs the Trump organization.

(Speaker 32)
You say, Clay, I still I’m not going to get a ticket unless you give me more.

(Speaker 4)
OK, fine.

(Speaker 21)
We’re going to serve you the same meal both days. True story. We have we cater in the food.

(Speaker 20)
And because I keep it simple, I literally bring in the same food both days for lunch. Who’s with me? Let’s go.

(Speaker 13)
Come on. incredible Mexican restaurant.

(Speaker 16)
That’s going to happen.

(Speaker 19)
I want more.

(Speaker 13)
Give me more. OK, I’m not going to mention their names right now because I’m working on it behind the scenes here. We just continue to add more and more success stories. So if you’re out there today and you want to change your life, you want to give yourself an incredible gift, You want a life -changing experience. You want to learn how to start and grow a company. Go to Thrivetimeshow .

(Speaker 13)
com. Go there right now. Thrivetimeshow .

(Speaker 19)
com. Request a ticket for the two -day interactive event. Again, the event’s going to be on December 4th and 5th in sunny Anaheim, California.

(Speaker 13)
Great weather. Make this a December to remember. Eric Trump, the man who leads the Trump Organization. It’s going to be a blasty blast. There’s no upsells. Aaron, I could not be more excited about this event.

(Speaker 31)
I think it is incredible.

(Speaker 5)
And there’s somebody out there right now, you’re watching and you’re like, but I already signed up for this incredible other program called Smoke Your Way to Thin. You think that’s going to change your life? I promise you this will be 10 times better than that. It’s like I picked the wrong week to quit smoking. Again, that’s Aaron Antus, I’m Clay Clark, reminding you and inviting you to come out to the two -day interactive Thrive Time Show Workshop in beautiful Anaheim, California. I’m a brand strategist, and it’s been really easy to go to a lot of events like this and just leave real ready.

(Speaker 5)
There’s the strategic, step -by -step, real -life implementation that we can do to our business, and I’m super excited to be here. I’m very excited that Eric Hump is here, and that is going to be epic. Hi, my name is Erica, and it has been amazing being here at the conference. I’m learning so much. Everything is perfect for me.

(Speaker 26)
Clay Clark, man, he is one of a kind.

(Speaker 27)
character.

(Speaker 5)
It’s a good word for character. Yeah, that is it.

(Speaker 11)
Good, driven, smart. And I’ve never met a guy who was so hyper all the time. He’s doing so much good. And then I met his mother. And she just says, she just lets him be Clay Clark. I mean, so he’s endorsed by his mother.

(Speaker 11)
And he’s doing magnificent work. So it was great meeting you out there and all the people that he surrounds himself with. His client Clark starts his days at five o ‘clock in the morning. Oh, it’s incredible. Yeah, he’s he’s like, he’s he’s a machine. He’s a machine.

(Speaker 13)
But his you know, I got I have problems with my company starting at nine o ‘clock. Yes. Hundreds of people showing up at 5am in time.

(Speaker 4)
Oklahoma. Man, Man, he’s a leader of a leader. He’s a fantastic young man. No, he is. And the greatest thing that will come out of all of it, aside from winning the presidency of the United States, we’ll get to that in a second. Was an everlasting friendship between clay and I because I’m telling you there’s not too many people in the world that have this man’s backbone and his Tenaciousness and his perseverance and so buddy.

(Speaker 4)
I love you and to general Flynn. Thank you. You guys are incredible You guys are incredible warriors. You guys are incredible incredible warrior. So thank you my friend plate Clark is here somewhere Where’s my buddy play plays the greatest? I met his goats today.

(Speaker 4)
I met his dogs. I met his chickens.

(Speaker 5)
I saw his compound. He’s like the greatest guy. I ran from his goats, his chickens, his dogs. So this guy’s like the greatest marketer you’ve ever seen, right? His entire life, Clay Clark, his entire life is marketing. Four thousand percent from February to February.

(Speaker 5)
Now, I can better that. OK, Clay, I don’t think you know this. I don’t think you know this. I’m pinching myself. And if I cry, forgive me. In the last two and a half days, we have bettered our entire month of February and the last two and a half days.

(Speaker 5)
So and the phone’s blowing up. Everything’s just blowing up. You’re right. It is like a rocket ship. So we’re pinching ourselves. I learned at the Academy at Kings Point in New York.

(Speaker 5)
Octa non verba. Watch what a person does. not what they say we’re going to move into action mode here so for anybody out there if you say i would like to go to mar -a -lago now jackson you know they this just in they raided mar -a -lago you know about this this just in and so some people say you know that wasn’t cool i didn’t like that but you know so a lot of people out there, we want to kind of stick it to the New York Times. We want Eric to become the number one best -selling author in America. And we also, we kind of also want to go to Mar -a -Lago and check it out.

(Speaker 5)
We’ve never been there before.

(Speaker 4)
So what we’re going to do is for anybody right now, if you go to Amazon right now and you buy a copy of Eric Trump’s book, Under Siege, My Family’s Fight to Save Our Nation. So you go to Amazon right now, you buy a copy of the book. And you just text a screenshot of your proof of purchase to my cell phone number, 918 -851 -0102. So text my number, 918 -851 -0102.

(Speaker 30)
So again, step one, you go here to amazon .

(Speaker 4)
com. You buy a copy of the book Under Siege. Then you just text a screenshot of your purchase, your proof of purchase. You text my number, 918 -851 -0102. You have a chance to win a dinner at Mar -a -Lago with Eric Trump and myself. And there’s more.

(Speaker 4)
to go right there just for your viewers. It’s the most exclusive private club in the world. $2 million to get into, just base membership fee. And I promise we’re going to make your night absolutely incredible. Clay goes, listen, why don’t we do this? Why don’t we put it out to all the amazing Reawaken people, all the people who supported us all around the country, all around at every one of these conferences who adore your family.

(Speaker 4)
We’ve got to beat The New York Times. The New York Times is going to do everything they can. Even though we’re number one on Amazon right now, we just hit number one this morning. New York Times is going to do everything they can to keep you from being number one bestseller.

(Speaker 5)
You know that.

(Speaker 29)
I know that.

(Speaker 5)
You know the games that they’re willing to play.

(Speaker 4)
But play goes on.

(Speaker 5)
We do a couple of things.

(Speaker 4)
First of all, I love having dinner with Clay. He’s the greatest. Second of all, why don’t we bring one of the amazing people that I guarantee you I’ve been in front of at all these events. Why don’t we bring a couple to dinner at Mar -a -Lago? And I said, absolutely, consider it done. So I said, they have to text you, Clay.

(Speaker 4)
They can’t text me, because we’ll be getting 1 ,000 of these. But yeah, go buy a book, text Clay, and we’ll set up a dinner. I’ll make sure you guys have the absolute time of your life. I want to pull this up again one more time here, Jackson, because I think sometimes I’m a poor communicator. and I need to work on communicating more effectively. So you go to Amazon.

(Speaker 4)
That’s step one, OK? Yes. You buy a copy of the book, Pop Quiz. What book? Under Siege. You buy a copy of Under Siege, and then you screenshot a picture of that, and you text my phone number.

(Speaker 4)
It’s 918 -851 -0102. Folks, that is my cell phone number. So we’ll keep that private between you and me and everybody. And then when you text that to me, you have a chance to win a backstage pass to the actual in -person business workshop. That’s a business growth workshop, December 4th and 5th, featuring Eric Trump at Anaheim, California. and you have a chance to win dinner with Eric Trump and myself at Mar -a -Lago.

(Speaker 4)
Now, someone says, when does this contest end? Now, Eric, your birthday was hijacked. OK, so your birthday was hijacked. January 6th is this man’s birthday. He now has to switch his birthday, because no one wants to talk about his birthday on January 6th anymore. So we’re going to run this promotion until November 5th.

(Speaker 4)
That’s my birthday. No, no. So we’re going to run it until October 14th.

(Speaker 5)
October 14th. It has to be pre -sale. This just in. It has to be between October 14th. That’s why we’re clarifying. So between now and October October 14th.

(Speaker 5)
Now, folks, let me just clarify this real quick here. So make sure I’m leaving you with some good clarity here. One, you buy a copy of Under Siege on Amazon. That’s the step one. Step two, you text a screenshot of that purchase to my cell phone number, 918 -851 -0102. Three, you have to do that before October 14th.

(Speaker 5)
Before October 14th, this just in, it has to be before October 14th. And you have a chance to win a backstage pass to the upcoming business workshop. You have a chance to have dinner with Eric Trump at Mar -a -Lago. And I want to tell you some benefits of buying the book. One, I’ve read the book. It’s incredible.

(Speaker 5)
father out there and you want to learn about mentoring your kids, it’s a great book. If you want to learn about American history, it’s a great book. If you want to make America great again, it is a great book. It’s a book you got to have. Now here is just a quick editor’s note. You do not have to buy a copy of Eric Trump’s book under siege to be entered into the drawing.

(Speaker 5)
Just text the number. All you have to do is just entered into the drawing. to hang out with Eric Trump and Clay Clark at Mar -a -Lago, and to win a backstage pass at the upcoming Thrivetimeshow . com two -day interactive business workshop. Again, you do not have to buy a copy of the book to be entered into the drawing, but it would be great if you’d buy a copy of the book, because that would make sense.

(Speaker 5)
However, that is all, and now back to the interview. Also, Eric, a final question here for you. You are donating a portion of the proceeds to support Charlie Kirk and his continued mission there.

(Speaker 4)
Could you tell us about that briefly there? And then we’ll let you get back to what you’re doing today, sir. Yeah, well I was on with Benny Johnson. Benny Johnson was a great friend of Charlie Kirk’s, as you know, and you know Benny, and Benny’s a very good friend of mine, and you know, Cash Patel is a very good friend of mine, and was a very good friend of Charlie’s. I mean, you watch everybody that’s up on that stage every single day as they got to the bottom of exactly what happened, and they brought justice to what happened, or are trying to bring justice to what happened, and it’s kind of unthinkable, but You know St. Jude, and I talk a lot about St. Jude in this book, because fighting pediatric cancer has always been a cornerstone of my life. But Charlie truly, truly, truly was the epitome of being under siege, not only in the movement that he helped create, but obviously in how his life was savagely taken.

(Speaker 4)
My book came out three days, two and a half days before Charlie’s assassination. You better believe he would have been the final chapter of this book as just Another illustration of what these people will do at any cost to try and win, because it’s who they are.

(Speaker 5)
It’s the not -so -tolerant left. And we can never let our voices be extinguished, Clay.

(Speaker 13)
You stood on that stage as well as anybody I’ve ever seen stand on a stage.

(Speaker 16)
You did at Reawaken events all across the country, which you funded out of your back pocket because you believed in America.

(Speaker 19)
You believed in a greater country.

(Speaker 13)
And you were on that stage every single day. You know I was on that stage with you every single day. And I was on the Turning Point stage with Charlie all the time. And I was on stages across the country in three campaigns. I’ve stood on thousands of them. And honestly, they don’t want us to stand on that stage.

(Speaker 13)
That’s why they’re sending bullets from rooftops.

(Speaker 19)
They don’t want us to go out there with a bullhorn and have loud, independent thought. When they see these beautiful arenas full of kids and they’re cheering, they’re celebrating, they’re holding American flags, they don’t want that. And so they want to silence us.

(Speaker 13)
They want to silence our voice. That’s why they killed Charlie. That’s why they tried to kill my father. That’s why they sent 112 subpoenas to me. That’s why they wanted me in jail and my father in jail and Don in jail.

(Speaker 19)
That’s why they made up the hoaxes.

(Speaker 5)
They wanted to see us destroyed and gone with no voice, with no money, with no company, with no political aspirations, gone.

(Speaker 28)
And we can’t allow that to happen.

(Speaker 5)
And so we need to make sure the turning point continues. We need to make sure incredible patriots like you continue to spread you know, sensical speech, pro -American values, pro -religious, pro -constitutional values. And that’s why I want to donate the funds to Turning Point. I want to donate a portion of the funds to Turning Point, because we can’t allow anarchy to win, and we can’t allow voices to be deleted, and we need to keep Charlie’s legacy going. Eric Trump, thank you so much for joining us.

(Speaker 26)
Pastor Jackson, thank you so much for joining us.

(Speaker 27)
Absolutely.

(Speaker 5)
Eric, have a great day. We really do appreciate you.

(Speaker 11)
Everybody go out there and buy that book, Undersea. Just not too early to buy your Christmas gifts. And if you have a Democrat in your family, buy them a copy as well. Eric Trump, take care. Thanks, guys. See you later.

(Speaker 11)
But Clay Clark, man, he is one character. That’s a good word for him, character.

(Speaker 24)
Yeah, that is it.

(Speaker 11)
Good, driven, smart, and I’ve never met a guy who was so hyper all the time. He’s doing so much good. And then I met his mother, and she just says, she just lets him be Clay Clark.

(Speaker 13)
I mean, so, you know, he’s endorsed by his mother. And he’s doing magnificent work. So it was great meeting you out there and all the people that he surrounds himself with. His clay Clark starts his days at five o ‘clock in the morning.

(Speaker 6)
Oh, it’s incredible. Yeah, he’s he’s like, he’s he’s a machine. He’s a machine. But his you know, I could I have problems with my company starting at nine o ‘clock. Yes. Hundreds of people showing up at 5am in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

(Speaker 6)
Man, he’s a leader of a leader. He’s a fantastic young man. No, he is. Clay Clark is here somewhere. Where’s my buddy Clay? Clay’s the greatest.

(Speaker 6)
I met his goats today. I met his dogs. I met his chickens. I saw his compound. He’s like the greatest guy. I ran from his goats, his chickens, his dogs.

(Speaker 6)
So this guy’s like the greatest marketer you’ve ever seen, right? His entire life, Clay Clark, his entire life is marketing. 4 ,000 % from February to February. Now, I can better that. Okay, Clay, I don’t think you know this. I don’t think you know this.

(Speaker 6)
I’m pinching myself, and if I cry, forgive me. In the last two and a half days, we have bettered our entire month of February in the last two and a half days. So, and the phone’s blowing up. Everything’s just blowing up. You’re right. It is like a

(Speaker 6)
rocket ship. So we’re pinching ourselves. I learned at the Academy at King’s Point in New York. Acta non verba. Watch what a person does. not what they say.

(Speaker 6)
Hey, I’m Ryan Wimpey. I’m originally from Tulsa, born and raised here. I’ve definitely learned a lot about life design and making sure the business serves you. The linear workflow, the linear workflow for us in getting everything out on paper and documented is really important. We have workflows that are kind of all over the place, so having linear workflow and seeing that mapped out on multiple different boards, It’s pretty awesome. That’s really helpful for me.

(Speaker 6)
The atmosphere here is awesome. I definitely just stared at the walls figuring out how to make my facility look like this place.

(Speaker 26)
This place rocks.

(Speaker 6)
It’s invigorating. The walls are super. It’s just very cool. The atmosphere is cool. The people are nice. It’s a pretty cool place to be.

(Speaker 6)
Very good learning atmosphere. I literally want to model it and steal everything that’s here at this facility and basically create it just on our business side. Hilarious. I literally laughed so hard that I started having tears yesterday. And we’ve been learning a lot, which, you know, we’ve been sitting here.

(Speaker 17)
We’ve been learning a lot.

(Speaker 6)
And so, the humor definitely helps. It breaks it up. But the content is awesome, off the charts. And it’s very interactive. You can raise your hand. It’s not like you’re just listening to the professor speak, you know.

(Speaker 6)
The wizard teaches but the wizard interacts and he takes questions. So, that’s awesome. If you’re not attending the conference, you’re missing about three quarters to half of your life. Um, you’re definitely, it’s, it’s probably worth a couple thousand dollars. So you’re missing the thought process of someone that’s already started like nine profitable businesses.

(Speaker 25)
So not only is it a lot of good money,

(Speaker 17)
but just getting in the thought process of Clay Clark or Dr. Zellner or any of the other coaches, getting in the thought process of how they’re starting all these businesses, to me, just that is priceless. That’s money. Well, we’re definitely not getting upsold here. My wife and I have attended conferences where it was great information and then they upsold us like half the conference and I don’t want to like bang my head into a wall. And she’s like banging her head into the chair in front of her.

(Speaker 6)
Like, it’s good information, but we’re like, oh my gosh, I want to strangle you. Shut up and go with the presentation that we paid for. And that’s not here. There’s no upsells or anything. So that’s awesome. I hate that.

(Speaker 17)
It makes me angry.

(Speaker 24)
So glad that’s not happening.

(Speaker 2)
So the cost. of this conference is quite a bit cheaper than business college. I went to a small private liberal arts college and got a degree in business and I didn’t learn anything like they’re teaching here. I didn’t learn linear workflows. I learned stuff that I’m not using and I haven’t been using for the last nine years. So what they’re teaching here is actually way better than what I got at business school.

(Speaker 2)
And I went what was actually ranked as a very good business school. I would definitely recommend that people would check out the Thrive 15 conference. The information that you’re going to get is just very, very beneficial. And the mindset that you’re going to get, that you’re going to leave with, is just absolutely worth the price of a little bit of money and a few days worth of your time. I’m Rachel with Tip Top K9 and we just want to give a huge thank you to Clay and Vanessa Clark. Hey guys, I’m Ryan with Tip Top K9.

(Speaker 2)
Just want to say a big thank you to Thrive 15. Thank you to Make Your Life Epic. We love you guys. We appreciate you and really just appreciate how far you’ve taken us. This is our old house. This is where we used to live.

(Speaker 2)
This is our old neighborhood. So this is my old van and our old school marketing. And this is our old team. And by team, I mean it’s me and another guy. This is our new home with our new neighborhood. This is our new van with our new marketing, and this is our new team.

(Speaker 2)
We went from four to 14, and I took this beautiful photo. We worked with several different business coaches in the past, and they were all about helping Ryan sell better and just teaching sales, which is awesome, but Ryan is a really great salesman, so we didn’t need that. We needed somebody to help us get everything that was in his head out into systems, into manuals and scripts, and actually build a team. So now that we have systems in place, we’ve gone from one to 10 locations in only a year. In October 2016, we grossed 13 grand for the whole month. Right now it’s 2018, the month of October.

(Speaker 2)
It’s only the 22nd. We’ve already grossed a little over 50 grand for the whole month, and we still have time to go. We’re just thankful for you, thankful for Thrive and your mentorship, and we’re really thankful that you guys have helped us to grow a business that we run now instead of the business running us. Just thank you, thank you, thank you, times a thousand. So we really just want to thank you, Clay, and thank you, Vanessa, for everything you’ve done, everything you’ve helped us with. We love you guys.

(Speaker 2)
Hello, my name is Charles Colaw with Colaw Fitness. Today I want to tell you a little bit about Clay Clark and how I know Clay Clark. Clay Clark has been my business coach since 2017. He’s helped us grow from two locations to now six locations. We’re planning to do seven locations in seven years and then franchise. And Clay has done a great job of helping us navigate anything that has to do with like running the business, building the systems, the checklists, the workflows, the audits, how to navigate lease agreements, how to buy property, how to work with brokers and builders.

(Speaker 2)
This guy is just an amazing guy. This kind of guy has worked in every single industry. He’s written books with like Lee Crockrell, head of Disney with the 40 ,000 cast members. He’s friends with like Mike Lindell. He does Reawaken America tours where he does these tours all across the country where 10 ,000 or more people show up to some of these tours. On the day -to -day, he does anywhere from about 160 companies.

(Speaker 2)
He’s at the top. He has a team of business coaches, videographers, and graphic designers and web developers, and they run 160 companies every single week. So think of this guy with a team of business coaches running 160 companies. So in the weekly, he’s running 160 companies. Every six to eight weeks, he’s doing Reawaken America tours. Every six to eight weeks, he’s also doing business conferences where 200 people show up, and he teaches people a 13 -step proven system that he’s done and worked with billionaires, grow their companies.

(Speaker 2)
So I’ve seen guys from startups go from startup to being multi -millionaires, teaching people how to get time freedom and financial freedom through the system. critical thinking, document creation, making it, putting it into, organizing everything in their head to building it into a franchisable, scalable business. Like one of his businesses has like 500 franchises. That’s just one of the companies or brands that he works with. So amazing guy, Elon Musk, kind of like smart guy. He kind of comes off sometimes as socially awkward, but he’s so brilliant and he’s taught me so much.

(Speaker 2)
When I say that, like, Clay is like, he doesn’t care what people think when you’re talking to him. He cares about where you’re going in your life and where he can get you to go. And that’s what I like him most about him. He’s like a good coach. A coach isn’t just making you feel good all the time.

(Speaker 19)
A coach is actually helping you get to the best you.

(Speaker 4)
And Clay has been an amazing business coach. Through the course of that, we became friends. I was really most impressed with him is when I was shadowing him one time. We went into a business deal and listened to it. I got to shadow him. listen to it.

(Speaker 4)
And when we walked out, I knew that he could make millions on the deal. And they were super excited about working with him. And he told me, he’s like, I’m not gonna touch it. I’m gonna turn it down. Because he knew it was gonna harm the common good of people in the long run. And the guy’s integrity just really wowed me.

(Speaker 4)
It brought tears to my eyes to see that this guy, his highest desire was to do what’s right. Anyways, just an amazing man. So anyways, impacted me a lot. He’s helped navigate any time I’ve gotten nervous or worried about how to run the company or, you know. navigating competition and an economy that’s like, I remember we got closed down for three months. He helped us navigate on how to stay open, how to get back open, how to just survive through all the COVID shutdowns, lockdowns, because our clubs were all closed for three months.

(Speaker 4)
And you have $350 ,000 of bills you’ve got to pay, and we have no accounts receivable. He helped us navigate that. And of course, we were conservative enough that we could afford to take that on for a period of time. He’s a great man. I’m very impressed with him. So Clay, thank you for everything you’re doing. And I encourage you, if you haven’t ever worked with Clay, work with Clay.

(Speaker 4)
He’s going to help magnify you. And there’s nobody I have ever met that has the ability to work as hard as he does. He probably sleeps four, maybe six hours a day. And literally the rest of the time he’s working and he can outwork everybody in the room every single day. And he loves it. So anyways, this is Charles Kola with Kola Fitness.

(Speaker 4)
Thank you, Clay. And anybody out there that’s wanting to work with Clay, It’s a great, great opportunity to ever work with him. So you guys have a blessed one. This is Charles Kola. We’ll see you guys. Bye -bye.

(Speaker 4)
who had told me what a great job he had been doing for them. And I actually noticed he was driving a Lamborghini all of a sudden. So I was willing to listen. In my career, I’ve sold a little over $800 million in real estate. So honestly, I thought I kind of knew everything about marketing and homes.

(Speaker 22)
And then I met Clay, and my perception of what I knew and what I could do definitely changed.

(Speaker 7)
After doing $800 million in sales over a 15 -year career, I really thought I knew what I was doing. I’ve been managing a large team of salespeople for the last 10 years here with Shaw Homes. And, I mean, we’ve been a company that’s been in business for 35 years. become one of the largest builders in the Tulsa area and that was without clay. So when I came to know clay I really thought man there’s not much more I need to know but I’m willing to listen. The interesting thing is our internet leads from our website has actually in a four month period of time has gone from somewhere around 10 to 15 leads in a month to 180 internet leads in a month.

(Speaker 7)
Just from the few things that he’s shown us how to implement that I honestly probably never would have come up with on my own. So I got a lot of good things to say about the system that Clay put in place with us. And it’s just been an incredible experience. I am very glad that we met and had the opportunity to work with Clay. So the interaction with the team and with Clay on a weekly basis is honestly very enlightening. One of the things that I love about Clay’s perspective on things is that he doesn’t come from my industry.

(Speaker 7)
He’s not somebody who’s in the home building industry. I’ve listened to all the experts in my field. Our company has paid for me to go to seminars, international builder shows, all kinds of places where I’ve had the opportunity to learn from the experts in my industry. But the thing that I found working with Clay is that he comes from such a broad spectrum of working with so many different types of businesses that he has a perspective that’s difficult for me to gain because I get so entrenched in what I do, I’m not paying attention to what other leading industry experts are doing. And Clay really brings that perspective for me. It is very valuable time every week when I get that hour with him.

(Speaker 7)
From my perspective, the reason that any business owner who’s thinking about hooking up with Thrive needs to definitely consider it is because The results that we’ve gotten in a very short period of time are honestly monumental. It has really exceeded my wildest expectation of what he might be able to do. I came in skeptical because I’m very pragmatic, and as I’ve gone through the process over just a few months, I’ve realized it’s probably one of the best moves we’ve ever made. I think a lot of people probably feel like they don’t need a business or marketing consultant because they maybe are a little bit prideful and like to think they know everything.

(Speaker 10)
I know that’s how I felt coming in. I mean, we’re a big company that’s definitely one of the largest in town. And so we kind of felt like we knew what we were doing. And I think for a lot of people, they let their ego get in the way of listening to somebody that might have a better or different perspective than theirs. I would just really encourage you, if you’re thinking about working with clay, I mean, the thing is, it’s month to month. Go give it a try.

(Speaker 10)
and see what happens. I think in the 35 -year history of Shaw Homes, this is probably the best thing that’s happened to us. And I know if you give them a shot, I think you’ll feel the same way. I know for me, the thing I would have missed out on if I didn’t work with Clay is I would have missed out on literally an 1800 % increase in our internet leads going from 10 a month to 180 a month. That would have been a huge financial decision to just decide not to give it a shot. I would absolutely recommend Clay Clark to anybody who’s thinking about working with somebody in marketing.

(Speaker 10)
I would skip over anybody else you were thinking about and I would go straight to Clay and his team. I guarantee you’re not going to regret it because we sure haven’t. My name is Danielle Sprick, and I am the founder of D. Sprick Realty Group here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After being a stay -at -home mom for 12 years and my three kids started school and they were in school full -time, I was at a crossroads and trying to decide, what do I want to do? My degree and my background is in education, but after being a mom and staying home and all of that, I just didn’t have a passion for it like I once did. My husband suggested real estate.

(Speaker 10)
He’s a home builder, so real estate and home building go hand in hand, and we just rolled with it. I love people. I love working with people. I love the building relationships. But one thing that was really difficult for me was the business side of things, the processes and the advertising and marketing. I knew that I did not have the skills

what I needed to make that what it should be. So I reached out to Clay at that time, and he and his team have been extremely instrumental in helping us build our brand, help market our business, our agents, the homes that we represent. Everything that we do is a direct line from Clay and his team and all that they’ve done for us. We launched our brokerage, our real estate brokerage, eight months ago. And in that time, we’ve gone from myself and one other agent to just this week, we signed on our 16th agent. We have been blessed with the fact that we right now have just over 10 million in pending transactions.

Three years ago, I never would have even imagined that I would be in this role that I’m in today, building a business, having 16 agents. But I have to give credit where credit’s due. And Clay and his team and the business coaching that they’ve offered us has been huge. It’s been instrumental in what we’re doing. Don’t ever limit your vision. When you dream big, big things happen.

I started a business because I couldn’t work for anyone else. I do things my way. I do what I think is in the best interest of the patient. I don’t answer to insurance companies. I don’t answer to large corporate organizations. I answer to my patient, and that’s it.

My thought when I opened my clinic was I can do this all myself. I don’t need additional outside help in many ways. I mean, I went to medical school. I can figure this out. But it was a very, very steep learning curve. Within the first six months of opening my clinic, I had a $63 ,000 embezzlement.

I lost multiple employees. Clay helped us weather the storm. of some of the things that are just a lot of people experience, especially in the medical world. He was instrumental in helping with the specific written business plan. He’s been instrumental in hiring good quality employees, using the processes that he outlines for getting in good talent, which is extremely difficult. He helped me in securing the business loans.

He helped me with web development. and search engine optimization. We’ve been able to really keep a steady stream of clients coming in because they found us on the web. With everything that I encountered, everything that I experienced, I quickly learned it is worth every penny to have someone in your team that can walk you through and even avoid some of the pitfalls that are almost invariable in starting your own business. I’m Dr. Chad Edwards, and I own Revolution Health and Wellness Clinic.
