So when you know that somebody in your office is screwing, you taking advantage of you being various, how do you control your emotions until the right time when you know that they are being shady? Basically, how did learn how to conceal your intentions and emotions when needed by becoming a stoic with upside okay? So here’s the question of, I guess, I’m hearing from The Listener they say is what they wrote. How do you control your emotions when you know people are being shady until the right time to watch? It makes sense because you need them until you don’t, but how do you bury your hatred, deep down play? Okay? Well, this is I’m going to start with a Jesus quote here, because I Think Jesus did a very good job of setting example of how we should do with this stuff, and then this is you know this is a flight of this is very important to you. Jesus tells his guys he pulls his Apostles aside his disciples. He says, here’s the deal guys, one of you. This is Matthew. 26. 34. He says truly, I tell you this very night before the rooster crows. You will disown me three times. This is one of you will disown me three times now. He knew it was going to happen because he’s omniscient he’s omnipotent omnipresent, and so we knew it was going to happen, and I had to I mean that he was human, but he was also like equally human and equally God, which is hard for me to grasp That idea, but I have to believe that he was upset, I mean state, do you feel like the Jesus might have been just a little bit upset that he knew that somebody was going to deny that even knew him yeah. I think maybe the you know the human in them that that had lived on the earth for the years that he did and had the people that were well. I mean we felt, I felt you know you get. You know when you, when you get to that point where someone you’re looking at it in their face, and you know that they are either already have screwed you or going to then yeah, I’m sure there was probably some some drinks there.

You know what is example, Fast Company didn’t article, and certainly it was more light-hearted than turning over the Son of God, but they showed that 58 % of employees call in sick on the days that they want to watch or attend a sporting event. International competitions, like the FIFA World Cup, tinted boost employee absence rates, even though 80 % of employees admit to feeling guilty for doing it. This very simple kind of twisting of the truth of the truth can cost organizations 8.7 % of payroll, where they found in this Fast Company article in research that 8.7 % of all of your payroll is wasted, paying people who are not actually sick. They say they’re sick, but they’re, not sick. Now, if you are non wise business owner, you will immediately confront them and fire them when you know that they are being dishonest, but that’s not a wise thing to do, because if you do that, what’s going to happen, is you are going to have to pay Unemployment and Steve were in a right to work state, but still people can actually quit a job in Oklahoma and still receive unemployment in your state to you have a right to fire them and they were right to sue you for doing it right. So what you have to do is you have to actually go out of your way to document what happened. Steve, frustrating that been for you in the past, where you’ve really wanted to fire somebody. But yet you had to take a timeout and actually just document. It mean you’re, like I want to fire this guy, but you had to actually take the time out and go time out. I’Ve got to actually document what’s going on right, I’m up and go through the motions, as opposed to find them immediately recently, and I think it any company that’s reasonably size. We have about 50 employees, probably deals it on a daily basis. Cuz there’s somebody in your organization. That is what I would call the roach in your military, so to speak that person that doesn’t fit, but you can’t just awesome. You know you got to in and actually class. I think part of that that I guess that culture of accountability will, you know, like I said before, at least the time that they are with you as long as you hold people accountable, they can at least do a job right, and so you can at least Rest on that that you have hold him accountable, even though they’re not a good fit until I replace them or build my case they’re going to be here. At least I have him working u.s. Back in the day when I DJ connection, I knew that a lot of the DJs were doing bad things, and I knew this, and so here are the action items you want to think about every word that you say before you say it just like a movie Right or would you just want to write a script for a movie? I did I thought about every word.

 

I told the DJs. I planned all the way to the end I thought about. You know what I’m going to say good to see you. I thought I was saying: hey man, how you doing I thought about saying Merry Christmas. It is so good to see you. I thought about saying how was your show I thought about every single word to say. Meanwhile, I sharpened my business coach axe because I knew that on December 31st I was going to fire all of the dishonest DJs who are screwing me, but I needed them to DJ December 31st at New Year’s Eve. So I told no one I didn’t tell my wife. I didn’t tell you, because I knew that I was going to have to fire them on January 1st I needed them all. The DJ is every single disc jockeys always booked on New Year’s Eve, but on the first of the year I knew it was time to fire them. So I thought about every single word, just like a movie writer. What room number to I wrote down specifically win the Abominations and issues occurred. I wrote down I this is so important that you write down when the Abomination is an issues occurred. It so important. You write this down because if you as a business coach don’t write down when it happens, when you do an unemployment, the situation, so it’s a problem see what a document it so that when you do deal with the state of Oklahoma or whatever state you’re in 2000, employment at all Documents you’re right, we want to write down windy Abominations in issued, occurred free to avoid cognitive dissonance, so I didn’t feel bad. I would speak in general terms in a non-specific way, hoping that the person who listens would pick up.

 

The hints that I was talking about them. Basically, I did just what Jesus did. I say you know before the rooster crows three times. You know one of you guys will deny me three times it is. I spoke in general terms, hey guys, some of you guys. I hope you had allegations that some of you guys are passing out your business cards and trying to steal business, and I know that none of you guys would do it. But if you know of any of the DJs that are, please tell them, because I really would hate to have to fire somebody you know for miscommunication. I know nobody here would do that and knowing our team would. But if you hear somebody to do it something kind of squirrely or they may have something doing that we could seem like they’re trying to steal business. Please let them know just so. You know they don’t gets fired for miscommunication and four. If you have good talent in the pipeline, then you can start getting increasingly talented, increasingly candid with your people. Once you have Replacements ready to go, you can get very candid, and so on December 31st, with all the DJs unloaded their equipment. On that New Year’s Eve night, they all got back on New Year’s Day.
