Step 6 – Search Engine Optimization 101

  1. On the back-end, the website needs to be optimized for Google.
  2. On the front-end, the website needs to look visually better than your competition and needs to be focused on converting 1st time customers.
    1. Must gather proof that you are in fact real (previous examples of work, client testimonials, before and after images, etc.)

  4. Understand The 9 Components That Makes a Website Convert Well
        1. Google Canonical Compliance
        2. Most Reviews
        3. Most Content
          1. NOTABLE QUOTABLE – “We recommend that you have a minimum of 450 words of text content per page. Having fewer than 450 words on a page makes it hard to convince search engines that you’re a subject matter expert. In fact depending on the industry and keyword, 450 words might still be too few. The search engine optimization industry averages 1,000 words per page, and this is true in other industries as well.” – Page 221 – Search Engine Optimization for Dummies – Bruce Clay
        4. Most Mobile Compliance
        5. Property Search
        6. No-Brainer Offer
        7. Testimonials
          1. “88% of consumers read and trust online reviews.” – Forbes –  =https://www.forbes.com/sites/jaysondemers/2015/12/28/how-important-are-customer-reviews-for-online-marketing/#1d72242b1928
        8. Https Encryption for Your Website – Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is a variant of the standard web transfer protocol (HTTP) that adds a layer of security on the data in transit through a secure socket layer (SSL) or transport layer security (TLS) protocol connection.

  2. NOTABLE QUOTABLE – “Do not copy your competition’s content. Duplicate content will cause you to be banned from the Google search engines. Do not outsource the creation of the content for the main pages of your website. People will see the content on your main pages every day and you need that content to be good. However, don’t get stuck letting perfect be the enemy of done. Paraphrase your competition if need be (but do not copy the text).” – Clay Clark

Want to attend the legendary drive time show business conferences for free, subscribe on itunes leave. It objected review and send his confirmation at info at drivetime show.Com to claim your tickets want to live in a van down by the river, come by and see us at our riverwalk offices and will be able to make your dreams come. True. Person say that I want to live in a van down by the river i. Can’t I can’t begin to realize that there’s a waiting list, i, don’t know river in the band I think a lot of entreprenuers by default are going to lose if they don’t get. This topic a lot of people who are running in nonprofits in churches, you’re, going to end up shutting the church down shut down the ministry, shutting down the business. If you don’t get this next concert in that concept, as you have to know your break-even point and your goal achievement pointsgoing to start with you, then we get pastor brian’s. Take on this. If I’m listening right now and I run the church and I’ve just been choosing to turn a blind eye to what it costs for my organization to just break even and then what it cost for me to achieve our goals. Why is this a common think what why am I so, but who were the average listener and not our listeners? It’s their friends, of course, but according to forbes 9 of the 10 businesses conferences fail and when you peel it back and ask why did they fail? 9 of the 10 startups fail? Business is overall fail, aware of the numbers and I wear the mask, and it’s just not possible for them to break even based on their current overhead. They just don’t even know who it is I opening when you sit down to business owner and you do the math on the product or service that they have and they actually get it in their head. What it really cost to make the widget, because you know that you know I just thought I was buying the thethe good to make it. But then you don’t know you got to put in your rent. You got to put in your cable bill. You got to put in your wife, an actress, that’s what you really break it down. Some people tell me they’re losing money just in slender product, and they said they don’t even realize it. You know what a lot of people, though, that they think they concert being bringing up what it takes to break even is offencive and shows doubt in someone’s vision and I’ve. Seen this a lot and I know these guys, who are our pastors of churches, who open up the church with a massive buildingcongregation in, and it’s kind of, like the mine, said if we’re going to build our way to solvency, so pastor faith is important. How do you was a pastor juggle having faith in a vision to build the big church cuz, you guys have moved into a great great building there in owensboro. How do you balance that with the practical side of mathematically?

Is it possible yeah, a lot of guys have great vision, and you see a lot of people that have great vision with massive empty church buildings around the nation. Now cuz I think the building is the tool, that’s going to build the church and if the church has mojo-and it has momentum up, building can help at the right size at the right time, but that if you build it, they will come and tell if he does not work and there’s a lot of empty like cathedrals of faith out there, cuz people didn’t budget. So it’s got to make sense. Having a great vision is awesome, but culture always eats vision for lunch. Vision is what I see myself doingactress, how I do life day today until you got to build a culture even with your finances, even with all your budgeting, your flow. What goes where that’s going to work day today, cuz you win with a grind with fur hood cpas, there’s another mccoy love I love from jack welch’s pry, my favorite I love jack welch quotes, but this is my favorite one. Z I would like to hear your take on this to eat. While your dream, you got to deliver on the short-range commitments, while you develop a long-range strategy and vision to implement the success of doing both walking and chewing gum, if you will getting it done of the short-range and delivering a long-range plan and executing on a ge buy 4000 %, what advice would you have for anybody out there that is running a large church, okay, we’re say more than 500 members and their financially just barely making it year after year week after week? How would you help this person person drinkegg while business conferences eating I’ll tell you this, but what I would say is there is there is a massive difference:i, don’t care for your own, the church or business of working in your business and working on your business. So we’ve all heard that business owners of working on your business and you’ve got to do the day-to-day grind made produce whatever you know, vacuum if you’re, if you’re just getting started yourself, but then you got to step back. Can you got a plan and I can tell you one of the best things that somebody can do. Is you got to have advisors? You got to have people, you have a business coach. You got a financial accounting advisor that actually understands money and understands how the process, and and and do things, but you got to work on the business and then step back to work in the business and step back and work on the business to plan long-term and z. I was just talking with a client today, a great person today, I’m talking this gentleman and he’s got a big vision right to do some massive thinks.

He also has a big responsibility because he’s already built the mass effectand. So it goes that balance of, like you cuz you when you started the auto auction, you already had an optometry clinic with hundreds of employees. You know-and you also are building a massive, auto auction and it that when you started that rumor has it no customers were coming yet. So we had to manage this rumor you had to manage the construction, the pouring of the concrete, the building of the lanes, all those things, while also managing the other one. So for somebody out there since I get the concept I understand this concert, but I’m struggling with his fighting the time to work on my big vision, my big auto auction, my dick book, my big whatever, but i, also need to deliver on the short-range and then I’m not going to drop them all they’re going to still deliver on the short-range. How do you find the time to do that? My having to give you the secret move? Every time you tell me it’s so fabulous the secret saucecameron whispered song! I! Don’t want to let you know just don’t tell anybody else here. This is just whisper in my business conferences ear and I’ll just figure out where you and you alone, listening right now:okay, here’s what you need to do:okay, walking to your living room, look up the remote control to your tv and turn that thing off. What does that don’t know the time? But I don’t know that this person, who I don’t know who it is but say this person already doesn’t watch tv at okay, apparently works out a lot. So we can obviously heard my secret move. Everybody may have a tv in their life. It may not be tv. It may be something else that is occupying that time. That met a time that they should be using to develop. To think about the plan to strategize social media. I, never watch the tv I got to be up early. This is just math, don’t get upset clay and the numbers get you upset, you don’t have 24 hours in the day and you do have to sleep. You have to eat. There are some basic you need to do throughout the day. What the majority of the hours you get to decide what you get to do and I think went with a good. What would you say? 9010 your night was in the time you’re working on nintendo I mean I mean I can send your grind cinnamon 10%, five to 10% your your dream and you’re planning, your your.

You know you don’t look at the next thing and I’ll just say this:this is a powerful stat that someone should be thinking about the psychology today. So the average person is not getting 85 interruptions a day during one of his sermons, I was watching from river city church from the friendly confines my living room, and you were talking about how, when you grew up distractions like if you wanted to watch adult content, you wanted to go sneak on it. I’m snooping in and sneak on in in in troll on on an ex-girlfriend look at photos. Are you wanted to be distracted with a video game that used to be like you had to go to a store or go to a different room or you had to go somewhere, but now you’re such a just a phone away? Can you talk about the exit? This is a huge i, know, I’m, sending somebody free here and talk to me about the cuz. You talked about the boundaries with a digital device and it was such a powerful message that I wanted to reference to hear. The truth of the matter is back in the day. If you wanted to get in big trouble good to go to a location where the trouble was I love. You know, I love going to israel I’ll be going there again in november and a reference at all the time, but I’ve stood on the place where they say they think david king david of israel was looking down at batsheva and stand there and you’re kind of like watch yourself. So you can get yourself in trouble right right, that’s what it speaks to me, but back then you had to be up on the hilltop to see batsheva, but now best sheba, the next. The lady who had an affair with david and help bring a good portion is life is business conferences kingdom down now best sheba in trouble is in your pocket right. It’s digital! It’s right here! I can access it. No matter where I am I could even be in the house. With my wife, walk to the next room I am I got trouble right. There I have distraction right there now I’m talking about getting yourself in some sort of trouble like that. But let’s just take it not even in his a deviant of a turn, but just time-wasting right. You can get on and start watching. I am a golfer and I love golf, but I can get on while I should be preparing a sermon. Why should be working on my workflow? Why should be getting things ready? Clay clay rides me around sometimes like we would say in the livestock industry like a rented mule to get done my tasks and instead of doing my tasks, I could be wasting time watching a golf tournament. I got to get down to what next you know:paul graham, if all his listeners in chapel athens on the show notes, here paul graham, is the founder of dropbox airbnb reddit. He says I’ve never carried an iphone. Here’s why steve jobs, who invented the iphone, wouldn’t allow them in his room, because there’s attractions on duvall robert. I helped one facebook. He says I will not play on the hamster that I created facebook notifications.

Directions to tv is like the one. That’s 12 stats on by new smartphone stats aren’t out there quite a bit. I just know:i can’t get anything of 85 distractions. Absolutely nothing leads you to. You know a facebook post out now I’m on facebook, your 10 minutes. You know I’m on the clock, so I’m just going to call me right. There come on now, but yeah I wouldn’t lead to some turn off push notifications. There shouldn’t be anything being in bingen and buzzing, and you know your dick. Until about you know you would you’re ready to look at emails, look at emails and deal with them. You know when you’re ready to affect social media is something you enjoy doing and you want to do it. You know you, okay, you can’t you can’t watch you can’t binge watch netflix and do your facebook and do your insta, snapgram chat thing. You know you can’t do it all. Basically, what you’re saying is:is it going to be deliberate to go to be delivering life, whether it’s exercise with her to your relationship with your family or whether it’s business? You have to be delivering at the plan. Those things out, one of the things that I did that clay taught me to do is I had got to have a lot of distractions for my business conferences staff and I made a lot of people mad and so I would shut my door and say no more got a minute. Minis, no more got a minute meeting. So I would schedule time, and so you got to look and see where you spend your time and and then be deliberate on. When you do what? How do you have pastor brian, you love your people, you love the congregation and there’s thousands of them. How do you set up boundaries? I mean what we need. How do you do to keep yourself and being interrupted with those god? Damn it I’m eating some a thousand people. There were a lot of life lessons in growing a church. We started that church me and jesse are now. One campus is about a thousand people were leading another campus of a thousand people, so we had to learn how to change how we did ministry right cuz it first you just. Please talk to me I’ll talk to you. Please, like me, start by church have coffee with me, I’d love to and then after awhile you realize I’m going to die. If I keep this up, so you have to find a way to multiply yourself and i. Think jesus is the ultimate example and how do that? He got 12 disciples, any train them and those 12 reach.

More and now there are two billion of us on the planet of different faith flows. That would say jesus as messiah. So I think you have to replicate yourself and then we got you got to have some it’s an old term, but you got to have some gatekeepers in life right because everybody is going to ask for you and I was going to ask for you. You got to have gatekeepers how to set those boundaries, both digital and not wake up back. Where you talk about a spiritual concept, your bathroom right. Now it is this thing to al gore created called the internet doctor’s. We come back how to get to the top of google searches. Do you need help growing your business? Z I am so excited that you are here my friend is it did your your geographic? Proximity is ecstasy. When is next to me. Well, I appreciate that very much everyone, so you know I’m busy and I’ve got stuff going on, but I know you hold down the fort and you was quite a year-and-a-half ago. When we started this business conferences. We know we had the idea that little dream little whatever you were so excited so funny that light up and go i. Don’t know you remember this, but you almost had a tear in your eye, and you said this is exactly my life goal dream that I’ve always wanted to do and I was like cuz I hadn’t slept over my glasses inside the actual house inside the classroom, dark sunglasses. What are you doing? The drugs couple days I’ve been working on this radio show concept in that is what this is really fun, when I’m in town I’ll be on with you stories and real examples that the human mind can handle they’re, actually really not they’re not going to cure talking on a professorial level in a way that doesn’t make any sense all applicable. Now it just looks next to knowledge. I want to talk about, is search engine optimization, going to start with little little game here, google search up here for joplin fitness, now joplin fitness, sebi, joplin missouri in there he is on the screen. It’s colaw, fitness charles,. How are you I am doing awesome? How much do you weigh today about 260 and how are you buy protein shakes? Is it to learn about this guy call, clay clark, a conference business conference and so I can’t actually one of my really good friends, paul good, oh yeah, yeah yeah. He told me to come down here and check it out and he says that you’re a good guy-and you know a lot of stuff, so I came down and went to the conference and got hooked up with the coaching program. Nobody uses google to find a gym teacher to ever use google write the google or look for any led by the spirit they probably go there. Where is the spirit lee prices at whataburger, I guess I got to go, then I guess I’ll go to shoney’s business.

If you do a google search for owensboro church, you see river city church is topping google. You also see that are turkey just came in the studio with tom or our mascot is in the studio, so it always industries, weatherby churches or fitness. You’ve got to be top of google and have a great way to show. You have to have a turkey in the studio, so it should I’m sorry brian when you’re growing your your church, I’m sure that google wasn’t high on your priority list when you graduate from oral roberts university, but how big of a role does it play now? Delete the internet, all this thing called the internet is getting bigger, everyday and I just think it might take hold of our culture. When we started, listen, google wasn’t wasn’t in our in our world, we didn’t think about it, but it in something else is going to happen right. Things are going to change every few years and if we don’t make, adjustments will be left in the dust. So so it’s been massive and I’ll. Look now this week, in course, play in the team of been helping, drive us up on google all right now, I think we came up number 2 on the map. There’s a church, that’s been there forever 60 years, so they get a preference with google. Some of those things you got to learn to overcome, but but now this last week, I think at the owensboro campus we had 13 new family is visiting, which would have been. Probably you put the whole family together to talk in the 50 60. Is that an exciting night I will tell you this? My wife and I are really into church and when I go to you from business conferences attendee aaron antis who runs on shaw homes, I told my wife, I said this:guy is a guy want to get behind this guy cuz you’re, like super sincere about helping people, know christ and silver listing for super sincere about sunglasses with super sincere about telling fitness you believe in what you’re doing so you want to help people see better, absolutely have to find your business at your text around the round table here so they’re on the rectangular table, pastor brian. If there’s a minister out there who says you know what I don’t have time to learn how google works, what would you do you say to that person and loving way? I would say you have to learn to play the game that wednesday in the game that wins now is the google game, and you need somebody that can coach you and teach you show you how this works, to be honest, I know very just just headlines about google and search engine. Optimization. That’s why I’m connected to you, clay and your team drive time that you’ll help to drive us up at list. Amen brother give us what to do and we follow the path you have to be top of google ok website. That’s google canonical compliant. It’s laid out the way google wanted to visit.

You have to have the most reviews, write reviews from real people at 3 after the most content and for you have to have the most mobile compliance. What’s so nice about word with pastor brian as he produces sermons every week, which could be transcribed so he gets me top is a default as a result of just transcribing his conversation I like a charles, do you do you do sermons in the gym? Still? Are you still doing that I’m interested in, but I was going to? But you know I’m, not that good at preaching testimonials you didn’t know what to do. I would not want to ask you. Would you run around asking people for google reviews if it didn’t matter? If no it didn’t matter, I wouldn’t but I know it matters, and so can we do? We have a system where the system in place-and you look at our offices here in town we put the two together. We have 430 440 review. So there’s a lot of people fighting the concept of of getting business conferences content. Gravity works first, first things. First, first things you have to understand that it is a problem. It is a thing. It’s a thing. It is the way the game is played. I like how pastor said I didn’t you got to understand. You know it all figured out a game. It’s all the rules down cuz. Once you get the rules down, then you can strategize I come on now, then you can get it done right. So, if you don’t know enough to say, i, don’t even know, I don’t even know the rules. You are a perfect person to come, deliver in person, workshops, i, don’t think a lot of pastors know about how google works with you, too speculative percentage. What percentage of pastors do you think of your in your neck? I’m thinking 3% of pastors might have heard something about search engine. Optimization heat, rash I’ve been telling him a lot about the stuff that you guys have done for us and he’s highly impressed and and he’s even tried to do a couple things, and so you don’t even him being a pastor for 30 years very into how to say about opening a church in owensboro kentucky tell him don’t get business conferences reviews on sand. Really you don’t even want to have a physical presence. You just want to be in the woods somewhere now just kidding, but we want to help everybody grow. Their church can grow their organization. We come back we’re going to talk about learning from best practice systems, as opposed to learning from guess work
