Google Optimization 101

This week at the Thrivetime Show business coach program I learned more about Google optimization.  By this, I mean optimizing your Google My Business to rank higher on Google.  If you are not on page one then you will not be getting leads from Google. Most shoppers across the country, ninety-one percent to be exact, according to Forbes, search online for information.  This means that most consumers are not looking for businesses by word of mouth or through billboards but by searching, or Googling, first.  With so many consumers going online before buying being on page one is more important than ever. This is why this week’s article is going to focus on using Google optimization to benefit the business.

The first step of ensuring consumers find your business when they hop online is to create a Google My Business account.  The purpose of the Google My Business account is to allow business owners to claim their business on Google.  Claiming a company allows the business owner to provide contact information, check on reviews, add video testimonials, as well as add images (very important).  Remember ninety-one percent of shoppers search online before buying.  Inc. magazine has proven that eighty-four percent of shoppers trust reviews as much as a word of mouth referrals.  This means that the reviews you have access to as the owner of a business are imperative to gaining new business coach customers.  

The second step to ranking high and getting to page one of Google is by adding content to the website of the business.  One thousand word articles which contain your website, business phone number, and keywords which the business should show up for. Keywords are words woven into articles that are used by your likely buyer to be.  The more articles written with the keywords the higher your website ranks when the specific keywords are searched on Google. For example, if the business is dog grooming then the keywords may be best Tulsa dog groomer or dog groomer Tulsa.   These are words searched most likely by potential customers to find your business or service. The more articles a website has the higher Google will rank the company.   

To recap if your company is not on Google then it will be a long uphill battle to obtain customers.  Creating articles, obtaining reviews, and maintaining a Google My Business is all part of the steps necessary to successfully obtaining a customer base.  Bringing in continual customers is imperative to any business seeking to make a profit.  The purpose of any business is to provide time and financial freedom for the business owner.   If the business is not making a profit it will be impossible to obtain financial freedom or even stay in business.  Every business owner who has diligently applied the principles taught by the amazing team at the Thrivetime Show has seen tremendous results.   Do not waste any more time than necessary, come to a business conference or call the Thrivetime Show business coach program to learn the steps to gain time and financial freedom today!
