Have Confidence

This week, I had a business coach meeting with a great American business owner. This is a company that we have recently started working with. The owner of the business Is incredibly diligent and always gets his action items done. Although every single week when we get together for our meeting, all of his action items are done there’s always one lingering thing that never does happen. This is something that a lot of people have an issue with. It’s not only this one business owner and it doesn’t make him a bad person. this is something that we were taught growing up to believe. We were always taught to not be proud or to not boast. I believe that it is possible to be doing wrong by boasting unless you were boasting about the right thing. If you were boasting in something that you believe in and you’re showing full confidence that you believe in it, then that is what is required to operate a business.

The action item that this business owner struggled with was reaching out to business coach people that I’ve never heard of them and doing cold calls. “what if they don’t need what I was selling?” “What if this is an a good time for them?” These are all things that ran through their mind and run through most business owners’ mind before they make the first court call. The thing is that we have to understand is that we are confident in our business. How do you know if you were confident in your business? Ask yourself this question. First, is your business providing a service that does indeed help people do something or obtain something that they want? If the answer is yes, and you provide a good quality service, and you genuinely believe this is true, you should have full confidence in your business. Do not let the what if‘s keep you down.

Do you want to be confident in your brand?

You have to be confident that your brand represents quality. This is my branding is very important. This is the first step and the first thing that people see. Your website, your business cards, your handouts, and everything else that your customers see or touch must be world-class. This is your first impression and it is important that you make a great one. Even if your branding isn’t 100% absolutely perfect, do not use this as an excuse to not make calls. You have to get on the phone and you have to start making something happen. No one is ever going to wake up with a weird burning desire to pay you money.

Something else that you can do that will build your confidence in your brand is comparing yourself to your competition. You can do this by mystery shopping or having somebody else mystery shop for you. Most of the time, you will find that your brand is far better in the service that you provide your clients is of a much higher quality than all your competition. Doing this and understanding how you’re better not only helps build confidence in your mind for your company but it also helps you sell when you were going over the benefits for your company versus your competitor’s company.

No one buys from a person who doesn’t even believe in their own product.

This is what I found has been the core of the issue most of the time. If you struggle with having confidence in your business coach brand, your company, or believing that somebody does in fact need and will use your service, do you want to really deep dive into this and sell out to your own company. If you have determined that there are real actual people that will buy your product, it does indeed help real people, and you were not harming anybody in the process, you have to make the decision to fully buying or people will be able to sense that you don’t fully believe in your company. No one buys from a person who doesn’t even believe in their own product.
