It All Comes Down to Training

 This week I was able to work on training employees with many of my business coach clients. It is so very important to develop a great training system for your employees so that way when you bring on new employees, you don’t have to personally retrain everybody everything. When you create a great system for training, it allows you to duplicate yourself and hire quickly. It also allows you to get people working within days as opposed to months. These are just a few musically has taught us in the team on how to train faster and better.  

The first thing is you have to tell and show the employee how to do the action item. Verbally telling somebody how to do something works for some people and maybe they might understand how to do it simply after you tell them. For a lot of people this is not sufficient for training. If you tell them how to do it, you must then show them yourself actually doing it. Some people might get this immediately and be able to pick up the task and do it on their own and others will not be able to.

The next step is to give them a written out checklist of how to do the action items step-by-step. This is vitally important and considering the scalability of your business coach company. You will never be able to scale out your company if you do not have your training systems documented. This also allows your employees to be able to never miss a step in the process.

The last point of the business coach training system that Clay often talks about and also mentions inside of his boom book is having the employee show you how to do the task. This final step is very important because it requires the employee to actually perform the task that you have trained them on. If the employee is not able to repeat back the task and physically do it in front of you, they do not know how to do the task. It is very important to not miss this step in to ensure that your team knows exactly how to do what is required of them.

These three steps have been able to help hundreds of business owners throughout America. If you implement these steps into your own business, you will be able to scale out the speed and the quality of service that your team can provide. You’ll be able to duplicate yourself quicker than ever and you will be able to find more employees. If you have everything down to a system, all you have to do is find high character people and train your system in your way of doing things. The days of looking for some skilled perfect worker is these three steps have been able to help hundreds of business owners throughout America. If you implement these steps into your own business, you will be able to scale out the speed and the quality of service that your team can provide. You’ll be able to duplicate yourself quicker than ever and you will be able to find more business coach employees. If you have everything down to a system, all you have to do is find high character people and train them in your system and your way of doing things. The days of looking for some skilled perfect worker are over.
