As an entrepreneur, you will have many wins throughout your weeks and months. As a business coach, I see it all the time. As you grow larger and larger, your company will also have more and more problems. One way to combat these problems is by celebrating the wins that you have already collected from the past. If you want to be successful, you have to collect and document your wins throughout the year.
Anything that you treasure you have to measure. Whether it is sales numbers, reviews gathered, or even ad statistics, you have to measure everything every week and you have to track it. If you don’t track it, you won’t know where you can improve, where your team is winning and where they can improve. This takes your business from feeling like you know what is happening in the day to day to knowing what is happening all of the time.
If you want to be successful, you have to collect and document your wins throughout the year.
There are so many other negative things happening in our business coach lives, we have to keep track of the few good things! If you keep growing this business and don’t track the positive things that are going on, you will be bogged down by all of the negative things that will keep flying your way. It is so easy to lose track of the good things if you don’t write them down, document them, or create videos of them. You must find a way to keep track of these wins.
When you document your wins, you can share the wins you have with your business coach clients and even your potential clients. This can work wonders in many regards. First, it can work as an incredible sales and social proof tool. If you have great video testimonials of other people enjoying your product or services, you can show that to your potential buyer and they can see your happy clients. Second, it encourages your clients who may also be bombarded with negativity throughout the week.
If you don’t document your wins, they never really happened. You must keep track of what, when, and how your successes have taken place. If you document your wins, you can track where you came from and where you are going. It helps you to see what is working and it helps you to see what is not working. You can decide what to keep doing and what things to stop doing. If you see that you have more wins in one space and less in another, you can adjust accordingly.
A way to make this actionable is by forcing yourself to document these wins. Each and every time you have a win to celebrate, break out your smartphone and record a quick 60-second video. Explain what happened and how it happened. These are easily shareable and you can upload them into your Dropbox so that you will never have a hard time finding them and you will never lose them. Celebrate wins weekly with your staff, your customers, your potential customers and don’t forget them on your journey up the proven path of success.
