There is no such thing as being stagnant in your own business coaching life. You are always moving in one direction or another. You simply need to decide which direction that will be. This was the topic of discussion during the all-staff meeting this Monday here at the business coach headquarters. Clay talked about how every week we come to these all staff meetings, we go to sales training, we meet as managers. Those meetings are meant for us to learn. Clay teaches us life moves like how to automate your savings, buy a house, increase your sales percentage, improve customer experience, and so much more. But guess what? All those super moves mean absolutely squat if we do nothing with it. So, are you going to get better or not? Are you going to implement that knowledge or just let it flow in one ear and out the other?
If it is the latter you should probably just pack up and go home because it serves you no purpose to be there. Imagine if I went to gym every day and stood around the weights. Would I get in shape? Absolutely not! Being around successful people and having access to knowledge bombs works the same way. By not implementing what you learn you are not going to be moving any closer towards your goals. Not only that, as Jonathan pointed out, by not implementing, or actively working towards your goals, you are actively working away from your goals. And this counts for EVERYTHING you do. From waking up to going to sleep every single action or choice you make that day will either push you forward or pull you back. There are no neutral choices.
As a business coach, it is my job to be a force that pushes my business coach clients towards their goals. The way that I do that is by showing them and helping them implement the proven path that business coach Clay Clark has written for them. If I stray, or let them stray, from that proven path I have just acted as a negative force, pulling them further away from their goals. Again, no neutral forces exist.
Life is so much more black and white then people are willing to believe it is. But that clear line is what I love about life, success is simple choices are either good or bad, you either did the thing or you didn’t. There is no middle ground. As I went through my day I paid special attention to all of my choices and audited them. Were they helping or hurting me? I am happy to have found a few that were hurting me and corrected them. It is so important that as you go through life and as you work within your business that you take a step back and look at yourself and your choices and see if you are getting better or not. If not, correct that, quickly. Because by default you are drifting away from your goals.
