Sustainable schedules provide a better quality of life and lead to more productivity along with less forgotten tasks. A sustainable schedule is a dream schedule. What are some of your business coaching goals you’d like to accomplish? How many hours a week do you need to spend on your goals to make them happen? Block out the time to answer these questions and give yourself time to create the life you want to live not a life you have to live. The time spent preparing is well worth the smooth and productive day produced.
Blocking out time provides accountability and structure, this structure and accountability enable business, or organization to move forward instead of backward.
When it comes to running a business coaching company there is a weight of responsibility that is placed on you as the business owner. One day after your company is orbiting on systems and checklists you can delegate those responsibilities. The owner does keep the responsibility of making sure each task is done or that each manager properly handled their piece of the business. This can be done for one hour in a weekly meeting. Any level of responsibility that is required still provides a checklist of to-dos. You as the owner, are able to delegate who is responsible for the oversight of day to day operations. You as the owner are able to oversee the entire company with your one hour weekly meetings freeing up time to work on the business and on your goals. Blocking out time provides accountability and structure, this structure and accountability enable business, or organization to move forward instead of backward.
Many times as you set aside the time to create your schedule in the morning you will find more things that you want to get done versus things that pop up throughout the day. The more no’s you give when it comes to changes to your schedule from anyone but you will help you train your team, and even family, that you plan your life out and won’t alter your day for someone’s sudden emergent item. Most times the urgent items people throw your way come from their own lack of preparations. When you plan out your day and block out time for the things you need and want to get done it eliminates the time available for other people to throw their burning fires onto your plate.
At the end of each day, you will see the things you wanted to do, get done. Everybody should schedule out their week. Benjamin Franklin said, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”. Sacrificing an hour before the day begins to chart out what the day will look like and what things need to get done is worth more than all of the half-finished projects and emergency tasks that come up when no prep work has been done. Take the time to prepare for your day or week ahead. Once you are ready for the week you will find that your days run more smoothly. A smoothly running day instead of a chaotic person being run by the day is highly apparent to customers who walk into a business.
Today is the day to get ahead of your business coaching peers and plan out what you want for your business, family, and your own personal goals. Prepared people are confident, because they are ready for the decisions that are required of them each and every day. If you knew that just one hour every single day was the building block you needed to live the schedule you want, why wouldn’t you do it? For every want there is an opposing sacrifice that has to be made. Becoming wealthy requires the discipline to not spend money on assets or wants. Becoming wiser requires sacrificing sleep to invest time in reading. Find out what you want and the necessary sacrifices in your day that you need to make. Schedule the items that will help you get closer to your goals and get them done.
